Great Hot coffees and nice danishes. Cute coffee shop but a little small! You can sit outside if it's a not a hot day, there's a little shade but you're right up next to a parking lot.
Great coffee and staff. Good place for meeting folks! Did not eat.
I just had the most delicate, amazing, mind-blowing cinnamon roll from this place. I ate it so fast I’m wondering if it even existed at all. It was like a dream. It was the most perfect, delectable pastry I’ve ever eaten and there certainly wasn’t enough of it. Its wonderment can only be explained by there being magical baking fairies in their kitchen. I’ve been put under a spell. It’s all I will think about this week. 🤤
This is my favorite coffee shop in Pflugerville. The baristas are always so kind, there is frequent live music, and their parking lot hosts the monthly artisan market. Yet it is still the perfect place to study or catch up with a friend. Highly recommend the garden party latte.
the staff is friendly, the drinks are out of this world, the food (both in house and their pastries) is delicious, and the aesthetic is cute and comfy. if I lived 10 min closer, I'd be here every single day 😅
Everything tastes so good, and so many made from scratch syrups. The menu was so good we picked a lot of pastries and two different drinks. The breakfast sandwiches were also good. A really great gem I knew nothing about, and will start visiting regularly.
Such a cute coffee shop. It’s just across from food trucks, a boutique and a clay painting shop. The baristas made a delightful cup of pecan latte and the crispness of the strawberry jam pastry was ‘chef’s kiss’. WiFi is free to log into to complete work or browse. They have goodies inside the store. Plenty of social distancing. Cute resin coasters with clean and dirty to help new guests and baristas see which tables are available to use. I’ll be back. ☺️
Great fresh roasted coffee and atmosphere. The closest to custom barrista experience.
Such a cute local coffee shop. Delicious Vietnamese coffee, hands down the best! Not too sweet, and you can taste the coffee. Great spot to meet up with friends or read a book while enjoying your coffee.
This is a fun coffee shop, it's pretty quiet inside and easy to get some work done while enjoying a coffee. However, the ADA parking spot is impossible to pull into unless you have a very small car. People often park in two spots or park where there isn't a spot and make it hard to pull in from Pecan St. If you're visiting this place, plan on parking further away, or if you have ADA requirements, plan on having someone drop you off if your car is bigger than a Smart car.
Got the seasonal vanilla pumpkin latte with oatmilk and an everything bagel. Bagel was well-toasted, staff was very friendly, coffee was delicious. My friend got the everything nice coffee and it was amazing. The vibes inside were fantastic and welcoming. Definitely recommend.
I've been coming here for years and it is my absolute favorite coffee shop of all time. Everyone that works here is always so awesome and kind. The food and drinks are top notch. It really is a special place
I love this place! It is hands down my favorite coffee shop, I’m here every weekend for my latte. They have THE BEST coffee, delicious baked goods, beer& wine, a relaxing ambiance, plenty of seating indoor and outdoor, books, games, live music, a kids corner, and gifts from local creatives. They are DOG FRIENDLY and to top it off are woman owned. I just love everything about it and the coffee is on point.
This is such a hidden gem!! Everything was amazing , the atmosphere, cleanliness, the decor & the staff especially Travis who made sure I was taken care of after not liking the pecan coffee , the zesty orange was too much for me. The “everything nice” def made it up and I can say I left so satisfied ☺️ So thanks Travis 🙏🏼 And ohhh the everything cream cheese pastry 🥐 was mmm delish 🤌🏼 Keep it up y’all 😉
I am really glad they let me sample some stuff. This place is a lot better than I remember. Ever drink option was good. Being able to sample some of the best drinks is amazing. The Vietnamese coffee was the best ive had. I don't know how they made it taste so fresh although it was prepared earlier
I got so much work done here while sipping on a nice iced coffee recommended to me by the knowledgeable staff.
I’ve been thinking about trying this place since it opened and wow, I was truly taken away when I walk in, so beautiful decorated, clean, spacious and relaxing atmosphere. Great to grab some coffee or beer with a friend or just have some me time to do some work. Staff was friendly, good prices, parking is easy to get in and out. Love it!
This place has the nicest baristas and great seating options. I got the matcha which was made fresh per order, didn't come from concentrate, and a cardamom bun.
This is a completely adorable cafe that I quickly fell in love with thanks to my friend who introduced me. I walked in, I looked at the drink specials, the Bees Knees piqued my interest - it said something like honey and lavender iced coffee. I asked for oat milk - they said no problem. Normally, for me, I can't really taste the lavender but it came through beautifully and the drink wasn't overly sweet but just the right amount. Winning! They had picnic tables outside so we could enjoy your drinks in the beautiful sunshine. Yay.
Came this morning for a breakfast date with my husband. We got Vietnamese iced coffee, and everything nice with oat milk (hot). Both were good but I liked “everything nice” more. We also ordered the cardamom bun and 2 breakfast sandwiches with egg and cheese. Everything was delicious. The flavor of the cardamom bun was really good. It is on the pricier side but you are getting good service, a nice atmosphere and supporting a local business so it’s worth it. They even have a corner just for kids with toys/games. Parking is a little tight but still manageable for a weekday morning. They have small tables, long tables for bigger groups and couches. Something for everyone.
West Pecan is such an amazing place! Amazing atmosphere and such kind people. A great place to grab a drink and get work done, 10/10 recommend!
Euphoric milk texturing and pouring on the espresso drinks! Couldn’t stop myself from getting a second drink. Plus they have freshly roasted bags of coffee beans; I purchased one and can’t wait to try at home. Good space to work with WiFi and ample seating, limited outlets so come fully charged.
If you are looking for a cute cafe with great atmosphere and kind staff, definitely stop in here for a visit. Cold brew is excellent and the girl at the front let me try it as well as their homemade cinnamon sugar syrup. I am a fan! They are also pet friendly and my pup enjoyed a bowl of water and a pup cup outside while we relaxed on the patio. Thank you!
I asked for the saturday morning matcha without knowing it had cinnamon in it. i have a mild cinnamon allergy so when i brought the drink back to the barista to notify him, he made me a new one without cinnamon. thank you, it was very kind of him to make me a new one and not charge me for it. the atmosphere was great and welcoming. plenty of tables and outlets available for use. there is indoor and outdoor seating but with this texas heat i was happy to have a seat inside. music choice was pretty angsty but i enjoyed it. will be back to check out the open mic events
Very cute coffee house! The staff is always super friendly and they have lots of delicious options. They are quite social with poetry readings and other activities. Everything is always really clean and I enjoy working from there every once in awhile. Good quality beans, you don't have to add a bunch of stuff. We've also been with our kids and gotten them lemonade and a strawberry coconut milk.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere here. The staff was friendly and was willing to have very engaging conversation about their menu. Lots of events are posted by the doors. I enjoyed my nitro cold brew. It didn't have that recycled beer keg flavor that often comes with nitros. The Pecan Sunrise was very neat. It was a bourbon pecan coffee. Loaded with flavor that hits you with an attack mid and finish you expect from a bourbon. They use oat milk, which gives it a thicker creaminess and pairs well with the hearty drink.
Super cute coffee shop, indoor and outdoor seating, lots of seating and several places to plug into an outlet. Great place to enjoy coffee, check email, try the gluten-free banana bread (I don’t typically order GF but it’s delicious and I don’t miss the gluten lol). My kids also love this place— they sell juice boxes there, so everyone gets a beverage, it’s a win-win. Hoping to someday try their beer selection.
Pecan West Coffee is everything you want in a local spot—warm, inviting, and full of character. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between cozy and modern, with thoughtful design touches that make it feel like a place you could stay all morning. Whether you're grabbing a quick cup or sitting down to catch up with a friend, the vibe is relaxed and welcoming.
West Pecan is the recommended coffee shop in Pflugerville and weekdays are a great time to enjoy it! You'll get the same great coffee and attractive interior experience with original art, children's play area, and board game library, but the weekends are very busy in this easy to find and centrally located coffee shop. We had lattes in the large white mugs. Great value and excellent service here in the Austin suburb of choice for those wanting to live on the outskirts of the Austin city sprawl.
I really like this coffee shop as it has a nice chill vibe and they are really involved with the pflugerville community! I love walking and enjoying their coffee. Their coffee is good (although expensive I feel) $4 for French press and all the lattes are over $5. Honestly this is probably the going rate these days but seems steep for a coffee. I know they are also a local business etc. :) They have a nice kids area which is a great added addition because I can meet up with my mom friends while the kids play. Thanks West Pecan for being here and so involved!
The staff were extraordinarily amazing!!! I went on a limb and tried a new drink, which I rarely do, and of course, I didn't just stop there. I got a large. I tried the Vietnamese Iced coffee, and it was definitely not for me. Usually, I would've just drank it anyway, but my sister convinced me to ask if they'd swap it because it can't hurt to ask, and they did!!! The guy was super nice about it and brought my remake to the table. I felt really bad, so the kindness went a long way.
Great place to grab a coffee or tea. Customer service was ok, but not very talkative/helpful, considering it was my first visit and wanted recommendations about the menu. Didn't try the food, but they seem to have a couple of nice options for breakfast, snacks, quick bites. Love that they have different options and variety of chairs available. Plenty board games available, and some books as well.
Busy li'l cafe with friendly service, good coffee and food, and a casual vibe with great wiFi. I enjoyed my breakfast sandwich (only available on a english muffin, added bacon and a side of salsa), and a drip coffee for $14 with tip. Thanks so much WPC&B ~ I'll look forward to my next visit.
First timer here, came here for a latte and it was delish! Its so comfy and is the perfect vibe for studying or catching up with friends ❤️🥹 I got a hot vanilla oat milk latte and my mom got a tiramisu latte hot with oat milk and let me just say...it.was.so.good. Not only that but the girlies making our coffee were sweet, and they were roasting coffee beans so it smelled so good! Definitely coming here again!
West Pecan is a cute small-town coffee shop, perfect for a quick caffeine stop or catching up with old friends. This may sound unexpected, but their Thai tea is excellent. I usually only trust boba shops to get the tea to cream ratio right, but they nailed it. Their pastries are also delicious, especially the sweetened almond pastry, which I highly recommend. It’s also surprisingly kid-friendly with a designated kids’ corner, which was a pleasant surprise. The only downside is parking. Since it’s located in the heart of downtown Pflugerville, parking is limited, especially on weekends when the shop gets busy. But if you can find a spot, it’s definitely worth the visit.
A great neighborhood coffee and social spot. Good parking options, outdoor seating for nice weather. Snacks as well. Monitor hours as the shop may close late afternoon.
Amy makes this place run! She’s so funny, kind and brings the best energy. The vibes here are immaculate. Such a fun place to work and hang out. Great food too! 10/10, well 11 with Amy Jo!!
This is indeed a welcoming place! From the minute you walk in, you'll notice a great vibe! The decor is calming and attractive. Food and drinks are great! And, best of all, the staff is wonderful! Top of the line!
I have been coming here for so long I can't believe I have not written a review yet omg. Better late than never! I LOVE this coffee shop with my whole heart. Their pastries are pretty good, but this cafe has some of the best drinks I have ever had. Their seasonal specials almost always hit. Their fall specials have just come out, and the Teddy Graham latte is probably top 3 of my most favorite coffee drinks I have had. The atmosphere for the most part is pretty chill, great place to work or read, and they have live music on Saturdays which is always a vibe! I will sometimes venture out to the city to try their coffee, but it is always a flop. Pflugerville does it right!
Now that’s what I call Great coffee! Making a day trip to Pflugerville, we stumbled upon this place! We were greeted by the most wonderful staff. I had a latte and my daughter had a cold coffee. Now I’ve had a lot of great coffee in my life in the Texas region, however, I must deem this one as the best coffee in Texas that I have ever had. They made my 60th birthday morning great. Kid friendly too!
This coffee shop had a good amount of space which I was appreciative of. You’re able to have multiple small groups in there at once. The service didn’t take a long time and the lavender honey croissant is BOMB! I got a white hot chocolate with almond milk which was good as well. They have free WiFi and it’s not slow. They also have different types of seating like a bar table, group tables, individual tables, a reading area. They had toys in there for little ones as well. The bathrooms were clean as well. The staff is friendly and they are clean.
Unlocking another cute coffee shop in downtown Pflugerville ☕️ West Pecan Coffee + Beer is the best coffee shop in Pflugerville downtown. Their seasonal Garden Party Latte is delicious and I love how mushroom & lavender tastes are well blended into the drinks. Also highly recommend the beer flight - my personal favorite is the Blue Bee but the Cold Brew Beer is very unique as well and definitely a must-try! Hours: open daily from 7am to 4pm
Great ambiance and friendly staff. They have free wifi and the music is not too loud, if you’re looking for a nice, quiet place to study. Also, a great place to meet up with friends as there is group seating and some board games available. There’s a sizable outdoor seating area that’s pet friendly. I enjoyed the Pecan Sunrise, which had a deep, rich flavor. Overall 10/10, would recommend.
This place has a wonderful atmosphere for getting Coffee! I believe it is only in Pflugerville but well worth the drive if you are in the area! They have coffee, beer, muffins, teas and other things you can get! The servers were awesome as well. Very helpful especially since it was my first time there!
I love it here, it is the perfect environment for having deep conversations with loved ones or getting into the flow state and taking care of business. The energy is very fluid depending on how busy the place is but generally the low lighting creates an ambience that allows for relaxation, creativity and productivity. The staff members are always very friendly and welcoming and fun to talk to; the drinks served are also always pleasant and the teas come in generous servings! This place is definitely my go-to for meeting with people or getting work done on my own.
I'm not a big coffee drinker but I would defenitly come back here. We stopped by to check it out and they had a good selection of drinks from coffee, coco, to beer. We got some of the seasonal special coffees. And they were good the mint chocolate one was really good. I need to make it back to try the beer. Bird wise: you can get your usual parking lot birds like common and great-tailed grackles. There are some trees scattered throughout the area so there is a chance for something else.
Oatmilk latté is pretty good. Takes a while to get your order. I had coffee onsite and saw some people with real cups for their coffee and wish I'd been offered one over the paper to go cup. Parking is not easy to locate. I was meeting someone or I wouldn't have bothered.
They have good coffee, a nice facility that always appears clean, and friendly staff. I’ve had a few encounters with the female owner of this business and they have been unpleasant. I have limited my purchases here for the last 3 years because of it. I appreciate the place is good, and I would highly recommend if it weren’t for the owner’s attitude towards myself and other guests in her business. It’s a shame because I only live a block away, and my family and I used to frequent this place when they first opened. I would say you will have a good experience as long as you don’t bring a small business meeting here or a small group of students to learn about a local business. Again, based on basics like atmosphere, coffee, and front staff, I would recommend. I love to see local downtown businesses thrive.
Adjusted my review to 4 vs. 5 because they did not announce (on IG or Google) they were going to be closed during regular business hours Inside is spacious, clean and organized. Espresso over ice was delicious. Iced hibiscus tea was probably the best iced hibiscus tea I've had in a very long time. So good! I love that they sweeten in house syrups with stevia. I also really appreciate that in addition to their coffee offerings, they have a superb tea list. Service was friendly, courteous and prompt. Looking forward to trying other drinks!
Tried the kolaches and coffee a couple of times. The coffee was light the first time and better the second time. Kolaches were a bit expensive but had a decent amount of BBQ in them to justify the price.
If you are around Pflugerville down town and you need a good coffee, instead of searching for a Starbucks, try this place out. Very good coffee roast and individual charm. ---------------------------------- My star rating legend: Excellent / Exceptional ☆☆☆☆☆ Very good / Special ☆☆☆☆ Above-Average ☆☆☆ Below-Average ☆☆ Something is wrong!? ☆ ---------------------------------- Please note, my star rating compares this place in general to other similar places and is not based on a one time subjective impression.
When I wanna get out of Austin, I actually will drive here because I love the vibe. It’s also multicultural. It’s not loud. It’s an easy place to work in unpretentious.
Up for debate, either my standards have gotten higher or their coffee is getting worse. My typical order is a cortado, unsweet, with whole milk. The espresso pull was unbalanced, flat, lacked body, and had no depth. I could hardly even drink half of it and had to throw the rest out. Every time we buy one of their single origin roasted coffees, we seem to be able to get make a tasty cordado at home… I really wanted to only award them 3 stars based on coffee alone but their staff is friendly, it’s a great location/atmosphere, and their food selection is always good.
My dear companion and I were in the neighborhood and decided to check this place out. It made us sick, it was so Pflugerhip. The baristatender was a nice enough bloke, but he bungled the transaction so I had to swipe and swipe and swipe like some hipster on Tinder. I ended up with a Turmeric Latte because I just can't resist odd, awful-sounding things. It wasn't as bad as it sounds, but probably not something I'd get again. My dear companion got a nice beer in a nice glass and we shared a blueberry scone that the baristatender offered to warm up for us before we even asked. We sat outside, away from most of the Pflugerhip, so in the end our experience was pretty good, I must say. I guess gentrification/colonization is not so bad when you are complicit in it and insist on looking the other way... You see, this place used to be a convenience store. Ryan and I used to stop here on our walks home from school to get Arizona teas. One day we found the front windows were all boarded up and the back of the store was all disheveled (read: dis-shelved). What had happened was a car done drove through the windows. I remember another time when Walid and I were in there, some guy asked Walid about the Arabic tattoo on his shoulder. Walid told him it said “Palestine,” and that was the end of the conversation. So many memories on that hallowed ground, but now the gentrificatory hipsters have moved in and occupied this territory—installed this “sweet” “chill” “hangout” “spot” in place of the belovèd convenience store that was a veritable institution in this town for time immemorial. That such a tragedy could be dressed up in such hip clothes is itself another tragedy. But tragedy is the way of the world, I'm afraid, from Pflugerville to Palestine.
First, I like the atmosphere here more than anything. Good coffee shop vibes. I was disappointed they serve all beverages in to go cups on weekends. I ordered an iced latte, and also was disappointed when the freshly poured espresso was poured in the plastic to go cup with no ice or anything to prevent the plastic leeching from the heat. I could be totally wrong but it irked me. I’d rather it be in a mug if it’s gonna be made that way or milk or ice in the plastic first. This second one is for most coffee shops, I got a cinnamon roll, wanted it warmed up and it was microwaved. That’s standard. But microwave is gonna ruin the texture of a good cinnamon roll. I’d propose to any coffee shop to get an air fryer for this type of reheating! Preserves the original texture so much better.
First off, five stars for the coffee and service. The staff have always been wonderful and the coffee tastes great. However, the coffee roasting machine is out in the main seating area and the smell is STRONG and, honestly, a bit nauseating. Not a nice, freshly brewed coffee smell either, but something akin to industrial chemicals. If there was a schedule for the roasting such it could be avoided, that would be fantastic. Otherwise, it’s hit or miss for when it’s a good time to sit and enjoy a cup, which is my reason for the three stars overall.
I like the atmosphere but the smell is nauseating and bad. Not enjoyable to sit and enjoy your cup there.
Stopped in to try a seasonal latte. The cashier was nice and explained some of the featured drinks. The latte was foamed well but the syrup flavor was just ok. I also waited 17 minutes for my drink as others went out ahead. I watched as they realized they forgot to make mine but when I finally asked about it, they just said it was next - no explanation. You can get coffee almost anywhere so I often rank shops based on staffing patience/kindness and efficiency, so that bummed me out. (Especially since the pricing for a 16 oz latte was $8.39 before tip) Pros thou: There is quite a bit of seating and parking.
The reason I visited this store is knowing they grind their coffee beans daily for coffee freshness especially coffee loves will definitely know the difference. Tried Pecan sunrise, but they kind of did not meet my expectations. Coffee was just okay. Tried their baked goods as well. Cardamon bun is definitely one time try. But definitely would like to point out regarding Banana walnut bread. It one of my worst banana walnut bread I have had so far. They just put raw banana chucks in the bread, which is very hard to chew while eating and that raw banana is not even adding any flavor to the bread slice at all. Not just taste is worst, but I kind of got dog-white hairs while eating the slice. Immediately mentioned it to the waitress and they changed my slice. Giving rating of 3 as knowing the baked good are definitely not from them. But yeah as it’s only option in pflugerville which serves the freshest coffee powder, so worth trying once my opinion.
I adore this coffee shop. It was a home away from Home during the pandemic and has been a constant source of caffeine for work, meeting up with friends, or just loving a cup of coffee. The bellwether roaster is relatively new to the mix in atmosphere and is tanking the experience. When beans are roasting, it smells absolutely awful in the shop. I catch myself holding my breath. I understand you want to roast your own beans, but I’d really recommend a ventilation tube or something so the machine can push the overwhelming scent out of the coffee shop. Or at least a consistent schedule of when you’re roasting so some of us know to avoid it. It’s just really unpleasant.
Gave this place a second chance, the first time I felt the latte was watery, tasteless, and overpriced. I was in the area again for work today and stopped by. The latte tasted burnt and watery, with an odd pecan or maple-like flavor. The service was poor, rude baristas and unfriendly cashier, I'm assuming overwhelmed. The environment was incredibly chaotic, way too many babies and toddlers crying everywhere. Service takes quite a while and their beverages have not been worth the wait or price. I'm glad this is not my neighborhood coffee shop.
I come here a few times a month and pretty much always order a double shot or a triple shot of espresso by itself. This is what I got today when I ordered a triple shot. I even asked the lady who made it if she made a mistake, but she said it was right. The liquid goes to where my thumb is on the outside of the cup.. I ordered a double shot 2 days ago and it had more in it than this. Disappointing.
While the coffee from here typically tastes great, sometime the hot drinks come out on the skimpy side. I don’t leave reviews on one offs, this is the 3rd time my drink has had a less then adequate filling. I know the drink is frothed and such but come on most of us know how we feel when there is a ton of foam on the top of a beer... a little cheated, coffee is no different. All the way to my second knuckle worth of foam and it was $7, not including tip. To make it works its not even with the gas it would take to drive back to get the issue corrected.
Absolutely the most expensive smaller keto bagel ever. Taste terrible as well. I asked for a bag for the bagel I was taking home for my wife and they didnt have any bags. Absolutely a joke. Two bagels and a small coffee was over 9 dollars. Will not recommend to anyone. They are also a coffee shop and they dont carry Splenda. They offer stevia but who likes that! This is just a coffee and dont serve eggs or bacon with the bagel as seen in photos. Nothing special to be as honest as possible. Starbucks blows them away. I should have taken a pic of the menu but I didnt.
This is honestly why I rarely come here. Every time I give this place another chance, I end up having the same kind of experience being treated with indifference and a noticeable lack of care by staff. It’s not even an isolated incident anymore. I consistently feel dismissed or talked down to, and what’s most frustrating is that it’s never upper management it’s always the frontline staff who create these unnecessary and avoidable moments of discomfort. Today was no different. I came in simply trying to order a four-shot over ice, and after noticing the initial barista struggling and seeming overwhelmed, I decided to cancel the drink to give myself a moment to reset. I figured I’d just grab a cinnamon roll and build the drink myself at home since I had milk there. I even timed it so that I’d order my food online and head inside just as it was finishing. But instead of a smooth pickup, I walked into the two baristas at the bar discussing my earlier drink request in a rude, mocking tone clearly talking about me within earshot. I interrupted to let them know I had a mobile order, and without even checking the system, they demanded I show proof of purchase. Only after I annoyingly complied did they suddenly “find” the order. Now, not only is my drink’s ice melted from all the delay, but I’ve also been stuck here waiting over 20 minutes for a simple pastry. It’s not just about the wait it’s about the consistent lack of respect and professionalism I encounter here. This isn’t how anyone deserves to be treated when choosing to spend their money somewhere. Parking is also trash.
Update 7/10/23 It has gone downhill so much. As PF has very few cafe, west pecan has grown in popularity but they haven't kept up with quality and service. Despite being regular (as you can see from review below), me and my wife were disappointed with their service. Their recent hires act all nice up until you pay tips and when they made a drink using expired alternate milk for a $8, they acted up. Straight away saying that it will be long wait to remake and were far from considerate. Specially for vegan, stay away. Their almond based latte is really bad, they super overcharge for replacement milk. Their is nice cute dazzle coffee right beside, go there for vegan drinks. I used to love this place but constant crowd, poor service and lack of empathy for vegan has turned me away from this place. 3yrs ago, review: Located in downtown plugerville, this Cafe has amazing seating options to work. Seating is limited and can get crowded on weekends. Parking is available on site but if full, just park on the side street. Beer options on draft are limited but good.
Decent coffee. SLOW service. They have 5-6 people working there, but they are in no rush to make your coffee. They spend more time talking with each other. After waiting for close to 10 minutes, I watch one girl start to make my coffee by placing the cup underneath the espresso machine, but didn’t turn it on. minutes later another girl turned the machine on. She then placed it on the counter where it waited several more minutes for another girl to add the cream. They were not busy, they were just all talking with each other. There is another coffee shop next door. Go there instead.
I have tried to love this place because it really is the only coffee shop in Pflugerville to sit at, but they continue to strike out. I just paid $8 for my latte, and when I asked for a refill of just drip coffee, the charge was going to be another $4.50! For a plain drip refill. In addition, a different time, I arrived at 3:55 one day with my son, set my things down to work while he read, got all set up, went up to order my coffee. They proceeded to give me my coffee then inform me that I have to leave because they were closing. This would hav been really great information before I set up all of our stuff and spent another $8 on a coffee and $5 on a Italian soda from them. I just feel that is very poor customer service. Their coffee is good, but very expensive. The food is not great.
Let me start by saying this place is clearly popular and if people love it, that is their choice. That said, this is the most dysfunctional and overpriced coffee shop I have ever experienced. They actually let espresso for mixed drinks sit out for 2 to 4 minutes before using it. Espresso goes bad fast. After about 30 seconds it loses its crema, turns bitter and tastes burnt. No quality shop would do that and call it premium. I watched them do that for everyone and was mortified
We read a lot of great reviews with high ratings so decided to check it out. LOCATION AND SERVICE: It’s a quaint cafe located in the middle of downtown Pflugerville with several parking spaces in front of it. Staff were not friendly as no one really said hi to you or smiled. The wait was too long for no good reason. One of the staff members took forever to take care of the customer in front of us; she didn’t seem to know what she was doing or what the customer was asking 🤦♀️ DRINKS AND BAKED GOODS: We ordered PECAN SUNRISE and just simple ICED COFFEE and neither were drinkable! My husband and I had two sips of each and had to discard them. Their iced coffee was a step down from water with (barely) coffee flavor. We were so excited about their housemade pecan milk bourbon orange zest reduction, but the taste of it reminded me the cheap artificial coffee syrup at an office cafeteria. Also, we didn’t get latte art on our Pecan Sunrise which was another letdown! The only saving grace here was the cardamom bun & honey lavender bun which weren’t made by them. Thus, we see no reason to come back. VERDICT: We still don’t understand why this place was packed with people sitting around using their computers and paying almost $8 for a cup of coffee that tasted as bad as the free cheap coffee offered (for free) at public places or healthcare facilities that we normally turndown.
