Me gustó mucho el lugar, es pequeño pero acogedor, las mesas afuera son muy agradables. Las mejores croquetas de jamón que he comido por estos días y la atenta atención de Juan, se puede ver la cocina y se ve muy limpia. Lo único que sugiero a mejorar es que solo hay una persona sirviendo mesas y pues se nota un poco lo ocupados que estan!

Recomendable 100%. Restaurante acogedor con ambiente tranquilo en puro centro de Malaga. El personal super amable y atentos con todo. ¡La comida ha sido espectacular! Es difícil encontrar sitios dónde la comida sea de muy buena calidad con un precio muy razonable y este restaurante lo es y mucho. Nos han encantado todos sus platos en este caso: Croquetas de Jamón, Buñuelos de garbanzos y espinacas, patatas bravas y albóndigas con tomate. No pongo mas estrellas porque no se puede.

Quien dijo que no es posible comer muy bien en un lugar céntrico y muy turístico? El restaurante es muy acogedor, las personas que te atienden son súper amables. Y que decir de la comida? Un pulpo grillado que te hace suspirar. Una bindiola de cerdo que se te saltan los lagrimones. Y como colofón final una tarta de Santiago estratosférica. Un 10 de 10. A mejorar: Opción para pedirte un café.

Very nice restsurant. Tourists outside and we were inside with the Spanish clients. Excellent service from our "muy simpatico" waiter Daniel. The gamba's are the best we have eaten in a long time. And everything else (berenjenas con miel and the chopitos) also very nice. A very good choice for our first night in Malaga and we recommend it!!! .

Had an excellent time here. Ever so often you bump into a restaurant where you can just let the waiter order your food. This is one of those places. I meant to get the waiter to give me a sample of some wines, and it turned into a night. He picked my appetizer, he picked our entrées, and he picked our drinks. I had an amazing time at this place. There’s plenty of foot traffic so you can people watch. There’s outdoor and indoor seating. The staff is friendly. The food is good. The prices are reasonable. This is a good place.

A wonderful restaurant in the center of Málaga. It’s the only place in the center where they serve grilled sardines. In winter, the beach restaurants that make sardines on skewers are closed. Everything in this restaurant is very tasty and fresh. The interior is simply delightful! The staff are very polite and friendly, and the food is prepared very quickly!

Lovely food today and earlier in the week. Both friendy and charming staff who work hard to understand what you want. Amazing beef cheek in red wine and pork tenderloin in mustard sauce. I thoroughly recommend the lemon tart which is as good as my homemade lemon cheesecake. All this along with great people watching from the outdoor tables. Thoroughly recommend - we ll be back.

A Solid and Authentic Choice in Downtown Málaga My partner and I had a lovely dinner at Clásicos del Mentidero and were impressed by both the quality of the food and the exceptional service. Food & Drinks: We started with a jar of the house sangria. While not the best we've ever had, it was certainly refreshing on a warm evening. For our appetizer, we chose the Setas con camarones a la parrilla (grilled mushrooms with shrimp). The flavors were fantastic and it was a great way to start the meal. The main course was the Secreto Ibérico, a delicious and tender cut of Iberian pork that was cooked perfectly and was very flavorful. Ambiance & Service: We sat at an outdoor table on what was a very hot Málaga evening. The terrace was bustling, with most tables full, while the inside seating was about half-occupied. A special mention must go to our waiter, Daniel. He was incredibly attentive and professional throughout our entire meal, truly elevating our dining experience. The restaurant has a pleasant ambiance with good lighting, and the tables and chairs, while not from a 5-star restaurant, were perfectly comfortable for a busy downtown spot. Practical Details: Prospective diners should be aware that the restaurant is located in a pedestrian-only zone, so there is no parking nearby. On the night we visited, it was hot outside and we noticed the inside didn't feel particularly cool, suggesting the air conditioning wasn't very strong. It's also worth noting that there were no fans, and the WiFi signal did not reach our corner table. Value: For a jar of sangria, one appetizer, and one main course, our bill came to €53.00 for two people. We felt this was very reasonable value for the quality of the food, the service, and the central location. Overall: Clásicos del Mentidero offers a fantastic dining experience in the heart of Málaga. If you're looking for delicious Spanish food and outstanding service, this is an excellent choice. We would definitely return.

One of the best restaurant what we visited in Malaga. We had absolutely fantastic monk fish with potatoes And grilled vegetable with herbs, fresh mussels, deep fried sea food mix..great olives... We visited this restaurant many times and food was always great as stuff was friendly and fast. The fresh monk fish was the best fish what I ever eat! . I recommend and give five stars! If I could I would give ten. Food is very very tasty.

Fantastic, Staff were super friendly and food was brilliant. We got there earlier than its open. But they were already ready to get ordered. Waiter recommended great value wine which matched perfect with food. Paella here was the best out of that we’ve tried. It was my first time to try fried anchovies in Spain and it was delicious.

We came here for grilled sardine for early dinner like before 6:00 but it was not available. The fried aubergine with dark honey was very tasty! Couldn't stop eating. My husband liked a lot the soup with pork (€32 for 2 people) but was okay for me as the pork flavour was too strong. We will recommend the local beer, alcazar beer! The staffs were very friendly. By the way the olives wasn't great like green olives I tried in a different restaurant as they were too salty and the skin was tough.

This is more of a neighborhood restaurant, as opposed to those near the touristy area. We got some tapas and they were tasty and good. We had a corn iberico jamon, fried sardines, fantastic tomatoes/tuna, Russian salad, and a white and red sangria. We had a nice experience here.

Tasty food with great flavors, but the portions were quite small, we didn’t feel full when we left. The price was okay, though for what we paid, we expected a bit better quality. The location is lovely, situated on a cozy street that adds to the charm. Right in the middle of the historical centre. However, the service was very minimal: no smiles, no real interaction, just took our order and brought the food. Our dishes arrived about 15 minutes apart, and we waited around 25 minutes with empty plates before having to call someone over for the bill. Overall, a nice experience, but there’s definitely room for improvement

If we’re talking about the taste of the food, the food was great. I took black rice for two people and was very pleased with how it tasted as well as the quantity. Both of my friends took chicken breast and both were too raw to eat and had to give them back to the kitchen. My other friend took a traditional paella and liked it, the only problem was the quantity. Compared to half the quantity of the one I’ve shared, the portion was way too small and clearly not enough. We complained and they gave her a free tapas to compensate which I found really nice of them. One server was nice and the other a bit rude and pushy trying to sell us bread (he asked if we wanted bread like four times). I don’t recommend eating on the tables outside (not quite comfortable)

Entramos a tomar algo en este local debido al sitio tan bonito con el cruce de calles. Una vez que nos sentamos miramos las reseñas y vimos que tenían una gran nota y decidimos probar que tal se cenaba. Pedimos salmorejo ( salado) a lo que se lo digo al camarero y no le gusta la crítica dejamos la mitad porqué no se podía comer al estar tan salado y escaso de huevos y jamón . Luego unas croquetas de boletus que eran de champiñones. Y finalmente pedimos una lasaña,más de 40min esperando por ella además que no era gran cosa en cuanto a sabor nada reseñable y muy poco recomendable debido a la poca calidad de los platos, tardanza y servicio deficiente.

I’m surprised by the glowing reviews calling this one of the best restaurants in Málaga — unfortunately, that wasn’t our experience. The terrace is lovely, with a nice view over the bustling old town, but both the food and service left a lot to be desired. We ordered the grilled tuna steak and the entrecôte. The tuna was overcooked and didn’t taste fresh, while the entrecôte, ordered medium, was served far too rare. I even took two photos at the end of the meal to show what it looked like. To be honest, I wouldn’t return. The prices felt high compared to other nearby spots, especially considering the quality of the food and service. Speaking of service — the two waiters on the terrace didn’t seem very welcoming. Not even a smile, which really affected the overall experience. Unfortunately, a disappointing visit.

We had a very bad experience at this restaurant in the new year eve, The waiters ( the old guy + another waiter) , ( the young one was nice) the waiters both were rude and unprofessional, which completely ruined our meal. We expect a minimum level of respect from the staff, and unfortunately this was not the case. It is disappointing, as good service is just as important as good food. We would not recommend this place.
