I’ll be honest, I was a little apprehensive when our guide recommended we eat here once I saw the ratings. I’m so glad I didn’t listen to them! The pesto pasta was out of this world!! My wife said it was the best thing she ate on our entire trip. Great wine and seafood pasta too - and the tiramisu was the cherry on top of a great meal!

Loved this restaurant so much, so underrated! They have the best limoncello spritz in town (and we tried many). Mussels were excellent and the bruschetta was delicious! They have a balcony that you can sit at and oversee the town, so beautiful!!! We came here twice during our stay because we loved it so much!

We had the squid and anchovies for 14 euros, and they were really tasty. We ordered it to go, and it was prepared quickly. Just a tip: when ordering, make sure to keep the receipt and present it at the next window—this way, your order can be prepared right away.

==23 Mar 2025== The food is so delicious grilled octopuals is supper fresh with boucy texture, the pizza is tasty and the spaghetti too. The olive oil and basmati provided by them, taste very good too. We don't know what to order and the waiter is very friendly and kind to help us. He recommends us the best pizza and spaghetti for us. The toilet come with a unique window view too 🤣

Price was good compared to some of the other places around town. Food is what you would expect from a touristy location, but service was great. Waiters were very nice and attentive, the manager was also friendly and checked in with us. We got to sit on the balcony upstairs which was small but was very enjoyable. Family friendly as well!

We ordered from the take away next to the main restaurant and we had some mixed fried fish with chips. There is nothing spectacular about this place but after a long walk from Corniglia to Manarola we had to stop for a break and grab a bite to get some strength and this place served really fast and decent food at reasonable prices.

What a pleasant surprise! At first, La Scogliera may not be the most attractive restaurant, and with so many tourists around, you wouldn't expect it to be this good! Honestly, I was delighted with our lunch. Excellent fresh fishes on the menu, what a delight! And the prices were reasonable. The service was very fast, and the waiter and waitress were very friendly, even when the restaurant was crowded, and despite having to deal with unpleasant boring customers at one table next to us. Truly, kudos to the team! I highly recommend La Scogliera for a delicious dining experience near the port in Manarola. Ciao.

Stumbled upon this restaurant on our first day at Manarola. We were quick to get a table and it was on the balcony. The food was great. Prices were reasonable enough. The lady who was serving us (who may be the owner) was very friendly and attentive to our needs. PS. Don’t eat the bread on the table if you don’t need it! As they also charge for this.

Absolutely amazing meal! Brilliant menu with lots Of choice. Food was delicious, excellent service and they had my favourite red wine - Barnera D’Alba which is not readily available anywhere!!!

Some of the best food I've eaten in Italy. The spaghetti alla pomodoro are to die for. I've also tasted the lasagna, it was really good. The atmosphere is lovely.

Ristorante specializzato in cucina ligure nel pieno di Manarola. Ottimo il pesto, buono l'impasto della pizza. Prezzi nella media e comunque abbordabili vista la locazione. Se cercate un posto dove pranzare senza spendere troppo e uscirne soddisfatti, fateci un pensierino.

Sono stato a pranzo in questo ristorante durante la mia vacanza alle Cinque Terre. Abbiamo ordinato un piatto di bruschette al pomodoro e origano, un tris di bruschette, e un piatto di trofiette liguri al pesto. Ammetto di non aver avuto quell'effetto "wow" che mi sarei aspettato mangiando dei piatti tipici liguri nel loro luogo di appartenenza, ma era tutto comunque molto buono. I prezzi forse sono un pelo più alti di quelli a cui sono abituato, ma comunque non sono esagerati. Per una località così tanto turistica vanno più che bene, anzi, si va al risparmio rispetto a molti altri locali. Ambiente rustico, coi muri tutti in pietra, ma comunque elegante. Personale educato e disponibile.

Piccolo ma carino ristorante situato sulla via principale di Manarola. Abbiamo mangiato piatti a base di pesce ma il menù è vario e con piatti adatti per bambini. I piatti che abbiamo ordinato erano buoni e senza troppa attesa nonostante sia stato pieno di gente, personale cordiale e gentile. I prezzi sono mediamente alti ma è la normalità della zona.

Ristorante al centro di Manarola, cucina nella media dei ristoranti turistici della zona, niente di eccezionale, potrebbero osare un po’ di più. Avrei dato 3 stelle e mezzo ma il servizio ha fatto alzare la valutazione, i camerieri sono stati molto gentili e disponibili! Grazie

Leggo molte recensioni negative, parlo tuttavia in riferimento alla mia esperienza personale che è stata piuttosto positiva. Cibo ottimo, il pesce è fresco, buonissimo. I piatti non sono troppi(non ci sono scelte particolari, si va sul classico) ma, ripeto, tutti molto buoni. Anche i dolci. Il locale è carino, dispone di sala interna, spazio esterno e un piccolo balcone. Personale rapido, gentile e accurato. Prezzi assolutamente nella media.

Decent spot not far off the water. The closer spots were outrageously priced. Recommend ordering stuff that needs to be made fresh: we did pizza and fish. Really good! Looking at other reviews, seems there are some ready-made items people enjoy less. You can’t be much of a food snob in Manarola. Roll off the rocks, dry off, and find something that looks good!

Ordered 4 things cost about 65 euros. Decent price for tourist spot. Seafood tasted fresh, although taste-wise felt kind of bland. The fried fish would have been better with some spices in the batter. Service was so-so. Minimal interaction. Also feels like this is a typical tourist spot, quick to ask for order and food comes out quick. Had to wait for a staff to walk past at the end to ask for the bill.

Buon ristorante, prezzi un po' alti ma dopotutto la location è molto particolare, peccato per i molti piatti di pesce surgelati (anche se di alta qualità). Come pesce fresco abbiamo trovato solo il branzino, davvero delizioso. Staff molto gentile.

Locale tipico di un paesino come Manarola, accogliente e pulito. Molto buone le bruschette! Anche il resto era buono, anche se il fritto misto era un po' deludente: unto e pesce un po' gommoso. I prezzi sono alti ma comunque nella media per Manarola. 2,50€ per coperto/pane. Consiglierei di prenotare in anticipo però.

Il personale e' gentile, il cibo e' passabile. Abbiamo ordinato spaghetti allo scoglio, buoni ma non eccezionali e poi dei medaglioni di manzo con patatine fritte (comprese). Qui sono rimasto un po' deluso. Nel menu' e' scritto medaglioni di manzo, ma ti portano degli hamburger e no, non sono la stessa cosa. Le patatine purtroppo erano piene di olio. Magari una svista considerando l'affluenza della gente! Chissa'.

Il locale si presenta con una location carina e con più sale. Il servizio veloce, personale gentile e informale. Il menu ha una buona scelta di piatti. Il cibo buono, i piatti abbondanti. I prezzi medio/alti, qualità prezzo rispettata. Un forte disagio riguardo alla sala al piano superiore è lo staff che, è tutto riunito intorno al bancone "bar" disturbando la quiete del cliente. Per il resto consigliato per una buona mangiata di pesce.

In pieno centro a Manarola, una delle 5 terre, non si può non prendere un bel cono di fritto misto di pesce d'asporto. La vasta possibilità di scelte permette di poter comunque soddisfare tutti i palati, anche i meno amanti di pesce. La nota negativa è che sapeva, a tratti, di troppo olio da frittura cosa che non è buona. Molto rapido il servizio visto la mole di persone che si sono riversate verso ora di pranzo. A.

Cibo mediocre , 13€ spaghetti allo scoglio considerato il contesto in cui si trova il ristorante é una cifra corretta. Il servizio è molto discutibile ma comunque è andato tutto senza intoppi.

I recognize that being vegan it makes it hard to eat at establishments that don’t offer or even know how to add options to their menus but this review wasn’t even really about the food - the server was nice enough to offer a pomodoro spaghetti with a side of grilled vegetables for me. But it’s the attitude of the staff that really made this place a downer. Call it the language barrier but two of the female staff looked like they hated their jobs. I asked our server how she was, twice, and wasn’t met with any hospitality or kind regards back. My partner was able to speak Spanish with her to get me some food but even when speaking Spanish with him she didn’t seem content. The other server was banging down knives and cups to reset the tables and in an empty restaurant around 6:15PM it just didn’t seem necessary. The spaghetti with tomato sauce was excellent despite it being so simple. Seasoned well and the pasta itself was cooked perfectly. The vegetables (peppers zucchini) were great, minus a few pieces of eggplant that were undercooked and not seasoned. Thankfully there was salt on the table - sorry chef. My partner got the meat lasagna and said it was just ok. Nothing outstanding. Our bill was exactly €50

Locale situato lungo la via principale del paese. Ci hanno messi in un tavolino di cortesia sul balcone con vista paese. Il vino che abbiamo ordinato era abbastanza mediocre nonostante fosse un prodotto locale. La pasta alla scogliera non era nulla di che, poco saporita nonostante tutto il pesce e fatta con gli spaghettini, che personalmente con il pesce non hanno nulla a che fare. La pasta alle cozze era una normale pasta al sugo con delle cozze sopra. Le cozze erano saporite. Il personale non è molto cortese: abbiamo chiesto se il vino fosse un prodotto locale e ci viene risposto quasi in modo sarcastico che provenendo da La Spezia è un prodotto locale. Il caffè non era male. Le posate e i bicchieri erano abbastanza sporchi. I prezzi sono più bassi rispetto ad altri, ma è talvolta meglio concedersi di spendere qualche euro in più.

Ristorantino anche carino ma con menù scadente , i secondi sono tutti surgelati , solo il branzino è fresco ma sicuramente d'allevamento , ovviamente i primi non risultavano surgelati ma i gamberi e i totani lo erano ed è per questo dopo un antipasto di mare passabile 🤔 ho puntato tutto sugli spaghetti alle cozze , macché cozze buone ma rovinate dagli "spaghettini" salati , il vino era della casa , un bianco da SOMS , ed era tutto pieno , solamente perché era l'unico aperto , d'estate sarebbe sicuramente l'ultima scelta , manco il caffè era apprezzabile .

Una trofia al pesto, uno spaghetto al sugo e cozze, due caffé e una coca cola per 41€. I prezzi sono piu bassi di quelli degli altri locali intorno ma entrambi i piatti di pasta non erano troppo degni di nota. In particolare lo spaghetto era semplicemente uno spaghetto al pomodoro senza odore di cozze, la quale freschezza é in dubbio. Abbiamo anche notato che nonostante l’olio sia tipico di queste zone sul tavolo l’olio extravergine é toscano, il che stona con la “trattoria tipica”

Cucina molto discreta. Usano prezzemolo liofilizzato invece di fresco per esempio. Stessa situazione con l'aglio che praticamente non si sente nel piatto. Pomodori dal supermercato low cost e mal preparati. La pasta e scotta e anche di bassa qualità.

Terribile sbaglio, non ho pensato di controllare Maps prima di entrare preso dal troppo caldo, che mi ha evidentemente fatto andare in tilt. Solo un cameriere (che è stato molto gentile) parlava italiano, all’accoglienza solo spagnolo (o almeno sembra, alla fine siamo andati a gesti). Pochi piatti, la pasta al pesto almeno sembrava buona, anche se dubito il pesto fosse fresco. Per il resto le foto parlano chiaro, 13€ una mozzarella piccola tagliata sopra mezzo pomodoro.

FEBBRAIO 2025 Chiamiamo per prenotare un tavolo per sabato sera alle ore 20, ci dicono di andare prima perché se non c’era gente loro chiudevano. Arriviamo alle 19, la cameriera ispanica non capiva bene l’italiano, il fritto unto è pesante, gli antipasti CARISSIMI e porzioni minuscole. Conto ESORBITANTE . Classico ristorante acchiappa turisti. PER NIENTE CONSIGLIATO!

Posto per turisti, ma a Manarola sono quasi tutti cosi! Cercavamo 2 pizze d'asporto da mangiare ai tavolini da picnic che ci sono sopra la stazione di Manarola, poco prima dell'ingresso alla Via del Amore. Ci siamo ritrovati due piccole pinse di qualità scadente riscaldate in fornocon sopra il condimento!!! Sul menù c'era scritto pizze! Abbiamo chiesto dei tovaglioli di carta, c'è ne sono stati dati 2 di numero.La prossima volta ci portiamo la pizza da Spezia, e con 26€ mangiamo come dei re! Abbiamo sbagliato noi a voler dare una possibilità alle attività locali .

Pizza is a SCAM ! Its a focaccia with the quality of thos of the supermarket. Pasta is average with almost no taste. Won't give you the delicious italian food experience. It's definitely not worth your money.

Esperienza deludente alla Trattoria La Scogliera – Manarola La nostra esperienza alla Trattoria La Scogliera è stata purtroppo molto deludente, fin dal primo momento. L’accoglienza è stata pessima, con un atteggiamento poco cordiale da parte del personale, che ha dato subito una brutta impressione. I prezzi sono decisamente alti, soprattutto considerando le porzioni estremamente ridotte: la mia frittura di calamari contava a malapena dieci pezzi, al costo di 18 euro. Poche alici al prezzo di 14€ Inaccettabile. Il servizio è stato disorganizzato e lento: le portate non sono arrivate insieme e alcune di noi hanno aspettato a lungo, tanto che una mia amica ha ricevuto la sua insalata di mare solo quando tutte le altre avevano già terminato di mangiare. A peggiorare la situazione, il personale faticava a comprendere l’italiano, il che ha causato diversi errori nelle ordinazioni. Anche la pulizia lasciava a desiderare. Per quanto riguarda i piatti, mancava una linea chiara: alcuni erano eccessivamente salati, altri completamente insipidi. Nessun equilibrio nei sapori. In conclusione, Trattoria La Scogliera non ha soddisfatto né per qualità, né per servizio, né tantomeno per il prezzo. Un’esperienza che sconsiglio. Mettono fretta Tovaglia sporca. Ps. Alla fine ci volevano anche imbrogliare con il conto, per fortuna la mia amica è stata più sveglia di loro. Pessimi.

Considerato che era l’unico posto aperto a Manarola per cenare posso solo pensare che ne siano stati consapevoli e consapevole sia stata anche la poca attenzione. Alle 20 non c’erano già più cozze per tre ma solo una porzione. L’abbiamo presa e metà porzione dell’ultima porzione erano solo gusci. Per me potevano anche dire che erano finite e non portarle facevano più bella figura. I calamari alla griglia erano quasi freddi. Ma la cosa più imbarazzante era la barista/cameriera o magari anche titolare che, mentre noi cenavamo, stava seduta sulle scale per andare al piano di sopra a guardare il cellulare come un ragazzino appena uscito da scuola che aspetta il bus seduto sul marciapiede della fermata. Inoltre… finché ci sono clienti al ristorante non trovo carino prendere i sacchi della spazzatura e maneggiarli a un metro dal tavolo e farli trovare alla cassa. A domanda “Tutto bene?” abbiamo risposto con un “Sì grazie” perché lungi da noi dire che forse forse no … ci avrebbero magari detto che tentavamo di non dover pagare. Peccato. Posto giusto per turisti che non torneranno più.

We had a terrible experience here on the 2 September 2025. My friend ordered a lasagne it was boiling hot on the outside and practically frozen on the inside - we told the waitress it was cold inside, she didn’t even look us in the eye or say anything and no apologies, she just took it away microwaved it and brought it back the same (see picture) half eaten. Terrible service I would avoid!

I usually don’t leave negative reviews, but the waitress completely ruined our experience here. She was curt, treated us with attitude and kept dismissing our requests. The food was mid, the salad fresh and the pesto pasta was creamy. You do get free bread with your order. Overall, there are better restaurants for a cheaper price and would not recommend this place if you are looking to grab a bite in Manarola.
