Tasty coffee and wonderful staff! Bella took her time to explain the different options and made a phenomenal mango creme. Cant wait to come back! I highly recommend this spot for something unique and flavourful.
Probably the best coffee shop in Vancouver! I would have rated JJ bean as my first before I tired Lumier and oh my … their light roast oat latte is to die for. Today I just tried their nutty cloud cold brew which I never drink any cold brew but it’s so good. The staff are always so friendly and the coffee shop gives your Korean cafe vibes. 😍
Honestly I really enjoy here. The drinks are very good, and what I appreciate most is that they can customize the sweetness level if you ask. I usually go for half-sweet since I don’t like drinks that are too sugary. Some drinks are set and can’t be adjusted, which is completely understandable. On top of that, the staff here are very friendly and welcoming.
The Sesame Seed Tea Latte on a crisp November morning as the wind sprinkles cold leaves across the spaces where people wonder and wander. And the service was lovely too. The only weird thing was a homeless fella crossed the road from the other side to look at me and then urinate against a tree, and then he went back across the road to his trolly thing, pretty nasty, but we are living in entitled times, I guess <shrug>
Lumiere Cafe is truly a gem! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a warm ambiance and excellent seating arrangements that are perfect for catching up with friends or settling in with a good book. The coffee here is exceptional, brewed to perfection every time. Whether you prefer a classic espresso or a specialty pour-over, Lumiere's offerings are sure to impress. And for those looking for something different, their selection of teas and non-caffeine options is just as delightful. One of the highlights is their commitment to quality with a micro roaster on-site, ensuring that every cup of coffee is fresh and bursting with flavor. What truly sets Lumiere apart, though, is the staff. They're not just baristas; they become familiar faces who remember your name and your favorite drink. It's that personal touch that makes every visit feel special. I appreciate the convenient hours, too, with Lumiere staying open until 7 pm. It's the perfect spot to unwind after a busy day or to grab a pick-me-up before an evening out. Lastly, I have to give a shout-out to Hank for bringing Lumiere Cafe to life. His passion for coffee and community shines through in every aspect of this wonderful place. It's no wonder that Lumiere has become a favorite hangout spot for me and my friends. Cheers to Lumiere Cafe and to Hank for creating such a welcoming and delightful establishment!
Good for take-outs! I was quite impressed by their drinks. Looking at their colourful menu, I thought most of these drinks would be very artificially sweet but to my surprise their Mango Hojicha was actually so good! Highly recommended drink: Mango Hojicha with whipping cream. (surprisingly good) Space: was a bit messy and the tables were sticky (maybe the staff were very busy with orders on the day I came so the table and floor were a bit sticky)
I recently visited this café with a friend, and it was a great experience! The seating was spacious and comfortable, making it a perfect spot to relax or catch up. Accessibility is a major plus the café is conveniently located right across from the Broadway-City Hall SkyTrain station, and the 99 B-Line bus stops directly in front of it. This would also be an excellent study spot for students, with its calm atmosphere and easy transit access. Highly recommend for coffee lovers and anyone looking for a cozy place to work or hang out!
Super cute coffee shop with such lovely baristas - Ramic was so sweet and helpful, not only was my day brightened up by my delicious drinks but also by his kindness. I've come here a couple of times now and the staff are always sooo nice. There's many drinks to choose from and they'll usually always have some really creative and tasty drink features. For the coffee lovers - the pourovers are really really good and there's quite the selection of coffee beans to choose from. For those that love cute creations - The iced strawberry matcha and their seasonal features are a must try.
I love the drink that the staff recommend me since it was my first time going there and I was interested in 2 of their drink. 1 pistachio matcha latte 2. Matcha meet hojicha! So I told the staff to choose it for me and she chose matcha meet hojicha, it is s bomb, so flavourable, hojicha taste is strong with the matcha cream on top. I really enjoy the drink so much, not sweet and it's perfect. And they told me to pick up a card after picking up my drink to brighten up my day like a short quote. It said you are stronger than you think. Overall I love my experience here! Will come back for the pistachio matcha latte. And the black sesame matcha latte
had a quick read and coffee here before going home. ambiance is nice and not too loud inside (which is a plus!). seats were almost full when i got in around 3pm on new year's eve. nice location too since it's just a walk across the canada line.
Lots of reasons to return here again and again. First, the staff (who was possibly the owner) is super friendly and offers great service. Second, the menu is very interesting. You’ll find all the familiar café options, plus some very creative drinks I have not encountered elsewhere. Something tells me this place will have great seasonal options throughout the year.
It was our first time trying a pistachio latte and it did not disappoint! Really rich and creamy which is why we split it. Super delicious and the staff are friendly. They didn’t rush us out of the store as they were closing but gave patient reminders.
This is an honest review from somebody who goes to cafes to work often. Very impressed by the service of the workers here. I was definitely not an easy customer (asked many questions, kept asking for more water, wanted it in a different cup, etc) but they were very gracious and patient. They are also very happy to help you choose a drink based on your preferences, so don’t worry if you are unfamiliar with drinks or are indecisive. I stayed here for quite some time doing work and I could see how friendly and personable they were with every single person who came in. Regarding the drinks, everything we had was really good. We liked their pistachio croissant, had lots of real pistachio in there. The most important thing for people like me who do work at cafes is having adequate outlets for charging. Lumiere Cafe has tons of outlets and I would not need to worry about certain seats not having power. Lots of seating both indoors and outdoors. Absolutely nothing to complain about here. Highly recommended if you’re in the area!
I have been to this place a few times before but this time i thought to do a review. I got the seasonal blueberry matcha with soy milk. I have gotten toogoodtogo here before and other seasonal drinks. They go on the sweeter side when it comes to specialty drinks. The matcha was good, the blueberry was a little too sweet for me but it was still good and I think homemade. I have tried their croissants, other limited edition drinks and seasonal pineapple coconut square I can't remember exactly what it was but it was tropically. The staff are nice and welcoming. Quite a bit of tables for you to do work etc. I am in this area often so I will be back!
Absolutely loved the selection of drinks here. So many special flavours like the tiramisu latte. I especially loved the white hot chocolate, it reminded me of milky buttons chocolate - my favourite. The pastry was nice too.
this amazing asian-owned cafe in Vancouver serves up the most aesthetic drinks I’ve seen in the area, perfect for those who want their camera to eat first 😍 trust me when I say that you HAVE to save this place because it will be your next favourite hangout. 💗highlights: Lumiere gives off a certain industrial aesthetic. one of my favourite things about them is their micro-roasting and high-tech coffee machines. they roast the raw coffee beans in-house daily and grind them up to ensure that you are getting the freshest possible coffee everyday. no exceptions. 🌟the cafe is right across the street from Broadway station so very transit friendly! ☕️what we tried: - iced Vienna oat latte - pour over tray - pistachio croissant - pineapple coconut bar - mango coconut matcha (summer sips menu) - mango coconut cloud (summer sips menu) - nitro cold brew I was highly surprised by how elite their foam toppings are. both the Vienna foam and the mango foam was top tier!! the only downside is that I’m probably going to crave the Vienna latte everyday now. it is a must try 🛑🤯 The pour over tray comes with a seasonal treat on the side and I highly recommend it. The coffee goes down so smooth, even for those who usually don’t like their coffee black. we also tried some of their cold brew and nitro cold brew on tap and I loved the nitro cold brew (not pictured). This is the first cafe in the area I’ve seen with coffee on tap which was really cool. I love that it’s on the way to UBC and PSA they’re opening a NEW location on macdonald st in the fall! 🌟tip: students get 10% off drinks 🍂they always come out with fun seasonal drinks so make sure to stay tuned for their fall sips in September! There’s is also a loyalty account and an app to order online.
We ordered the ice caramel macchiato here and we loved it! The coffee was strong and made perfectly. Despite being busy, we got our drink relatively quick. Appreciate that they give you the option of dark or medium roast. The staff was kind and answered our questions. Will definitely be back and we found that the prices were quite competitive and not terribly expensive especially since factoring in location. Bonus points for plastics straws 🙊
I had an amazing experience at Lumiere Café near Broadway and Cambie! I was craving a pour over with Ethiopian beans, but they were out of stock. Frank, one of the staff, went above and beyond by roasting the beans on the spot just to accommodate my request! The coffee was brewed to perfection, and the effort Frank put into it truly made my day. The ambiance of the café is cozy and welcoming, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy great coffee. Highly recommend this place for both the service and the quality of their coffee!
I liked my matcha latte a lot! Great flavour and the art was so cute.
One of my favourite places to grab coffee on my way to work. Their seasonal special drinks are always so creative (and taste good!) and their staff is always friendly.
Great coffee!! My partner and I tried the donut coffee and the pistachio latte, was blown away from the flavour! Best mocha I've ever had.

bring back cinnamon banana oat latte please i will give you my first born for it. i've been craving it since i tried it last year. favourite cafe in the lower mainland. good drinks, good atmosphere, love their little motivational cards but what would make it perfect would be having the cinnamon banana oat latte come back. it would be a christmas miracle. it's the only thing i asked for for christmas this year. a girl can dream. 💔

Lumiere Cafe recently opened on Broadway and Cambie, offering drinks, baked goods and their own coffee beans. Their croissants, featuring unique flavours like masago and salted egg yolk, were striking. I enjoyed a masago croissant that was crispy outside, soft and moist inside with additives of seaweed. Their mocha was sizeable, well-balanced and offered optional whipped cream free of charge. Staff was friendly and offered croissant samples..
A very cute cafe with pretty good coffee. There's of course stiff competition with how many great options there are, ESPECIALLY down Broadway specifically, but this place sets itself apart with a comfy atmosphere, a spacious interior with plenty of seating and outlets for setting down and plugging in, and great service with delicious coffee. Highly recommend downloading the app as it looks like they'll have plenty of offers and coupons, and they offer things like coffee bean subscriptions. For sure recommend!
Cute spot, fun coffee options, great location. Be aware the homeycomb latte will have chunks of the comb that can be fun or odd depends on your preference. The pistachio foam latte was very good. Awesome morning club option for people to grab a breakfast on the go.
I came here for a coffee with my friend after lunch in the neighbourhood. This cafe is highly rated so we gave it a try. They have quite a wide variety of beverages. Now they are promoting their summer sips. I ordered one of them called mango matcha coconut. It was pretty good and very refreshing. It was sweet but not too sweet. My friend ordered an iced oat latte. She loved it so much. The service was good. When we asked the barista questions, she answered them politely. It was our first time visit so the menus, food and beverages were so new to us that we don’t even know what to order. They have the regular latte, coffee or tea but of course we wanted to their special beverages. The price was acceptable knowing the special beverages were on the expensive side. They were good so we felt it was worth it. We went on a Saturday but surprisingly the cafe was not too busy. Maybe they need to do some social media posts or more advertising online to get more exposure, so more people know about it.
This is an absolutely cute and wonderful cafe in west broadway. It seems to be a busy area which is wonderful for the cafe. I love the layout of it… it’s decorated beautifully. The food itself is so delicious. I got the Ube supreme croissant and Black Forest frappe. This is a place I’d definitely be back at to try more of what they have. **Disclaimer: I was there for an event.
Tried the morning combo today, croissant is too dried for me, drip coffee is not good but that’s the only option for the morning combo. The cafe is comfortable to dine in, staff is friendly.

Reminder to check your bill. I ordered a hojicha oat latte, but the total came to almost $10 because the barista added a rosebud espresso shot without asking. I also requested no sugar, but it still tasted quite sweet.
Prefix this review with me being incredibly fussy when it comes to flat whites - and the easiest way to know if a coffee specialist actually takes coffee seriously is what their default flat white size is, and here it is 12oz. Which my fellow addicts will know is not a flat white.. So when charged $5.85 for what wasn't a flat white, and that said drink then not offering the bold rich flat whitey goodness I was craving, I had no choice but to give this below par review.. That and the fact that it took over 10min to get my drink despite 3 staff behind the counter and only one customer in front of me who ordered 2 standard drinks. Gotta be quicker getting the coffees to hand with that amount of staff imo. Otherwise cabinet food looked nice enough, though interior wasn't offering the warmest of vibes - more of that tidy/lank kinda feel.
Very trendy cafe near Broadway-City Hall Station. Two main points of appeal: They roast their own coffee beans and the seasonal special drinks are creative and trendy. The specials are not just aesthetically pleasing but also tasty and fun to drink. I really like the donut lattes, which are topped with a salty frothed cream. Even though the coffee could be said to be their specialty, I think the tea-based drinks are just as good as the espresso-baked drinks, at least out of what I've tried. I've only tried the fancy specialty drinks so I can't comment on the straight coffee. From this perspective, the quality of the espresso/tea is not what stands out (it's good but not "special"), but the creative flavours and textures in the drinks. I haven't tried a drink here yet that didn't impress. The baked goods are like 75% hit, 25% miss where it's stale. My favourites have been the salted egg yolk croissant and coffee bun. The salted yolk filling melds together with the croissant and melts in your mouth. The pistachio croissant was also very good with LOTS of pistachio. Least impressive were the almond croissant and the NYC/supreme roll croissants. The almond may have just been an off day. I like the idea of the NYC rolls but the execution here is just not matching with my mental expectation - they are filled with what seems like a buttercream frosting, and it's somewhat cold and hard. Usually the baristas are very friendly and are helpful if you have any menu questions. My last few visits I have been having the problem with getting drinks in a disposable cup even though I order in. If it happens just once I assume it's a mistake and don't let it bother me but it's happened like 3 or 4 times now so I'm starting to get annoyed.

I had macha latte last friday and i like it, went again today but this time it is not mixed at all. Also i asked for sparkling water and they said they charge for it, with most of the cafes if you buy latte drinks its free

Was really disappointed by this place. I ordered a latte that was overly sweet, poorly made, and honestly undrinkable. The coffee quality was bad and the syrup tasted artificial—it left me feeling nauseous and jittery. I expected better for the price and aesthetic they’re trying to present. Wouldn’t recommend if you actually care about good coffee. Feels more like they’re coasting on vibes than delivering quality.
I ordered the taro matcha and was very disappointed. The matcha flavor was barely noticeable, while the taro syrup completely overpowered the drink. It also wasn’t properly blended — the syrup had clumps, which affected the texture and overall consistency. On top of that, the almond croissant didn’t taste fresh. Definitely not worth the price.
These guys have some sketchy promotion practices. They have sandwich boards everywhere on the street advertising a free coffee, and then when you go into their cafe they say you have to download their app first to receive the copy. After you download the app, they require you to sign up for an account, which requires you to enter a bunch of personal details including a credit card. If the goal is to have people sign up for your app to get a free coffee, then this should be made clear on the advertisement. I don’t appreciate having my time wasted. While I was in there downloading the app, I saw two others come and go. I usually like trying new places out, but this less than honest way of getting me through the doors was not appreciated.
Got a cold brew it tasted like it had been sitting there for days. Taste of absolute stale coffee. And I got a garlic bread which was oddly sweet and probably old stock too cause it did not taste fresh. Won't be returning here! Staff was kind.
