Been passing by The Grill for many years. From the outside, it doesn't look like much. My wife & I were looking for something new after 3 of our usual haunts were closed for remodeling or vacation at the end of the busy summer. We were in the nearby Home Depot, so we decided to try The Grill, and were pleasantly surprised. From the moment we stepped in, we experienced exceptional service. The place was quite busy but we were shown to a table quickly and given our menus. Our drink order came back almost immediately. Then our waitress came by to take our order of basic pub fare. My wife ordered chicken fingers with fries, and I ordered a bowl of chili & hot wings. The food came out quickly and was nice and hot except for my chili was not as hot as I would like it, both in temperature and peppr heat. My wife said she enjoyed her chicken fingers and fries and that they were better than most other places. My hot wings were excellent. I ordered their inferno wings, which were hot but still not as hot as I like. They were, however, nice and crispy, just as I like them. All in all, I will give the food at 3.5 to 4, But what most impressed me was the exceptional waitress service . I will definitely return to try some of their other offerings, and I highly recommend you try them if you are in the area.

The food is amazing! All meats are smoked in house ! Service is amazing ! Ask for Tammy will def go back to try more stuff on the menu but I def recommend the scallops, the roadhouse panini and the smoked brisket sandwich! U won't be disappointed

We stopped in the afternoon before shopping. I got the ribs. They were fall off the bone good! The burgers looks delicious. A great stop.

What a hidden gem up in Matamoras PA. Just took a chance and boy what a chance it was. Had lunch and wanted to go back for dinner. I have to say the best wings I've ever had. Barbecue bacon n garlic parm were mouth watering. We also got burgers but was so full from the wings we nibbled on them n took the rest home. The whole staff was so engaging I felt like I've been there 100 times. I forgot to take burger pics

Wings were 9.5/10. The sauces were great, crispy but not overdone, blue cheese was real. Service was pretty good, prices were fair. Will be back for more next time we go to the Hawks Nest.

I hadn't been to the grill in a few years. Because of a couple of bad experiences. But I'm always one to give something another try. Glad I did the food was excellent. The service was excellent. And the prices are good. I was a little sad That a salad did not come with my meal but that's no biggie. I can highly recommend the grill now.

Awesome HOT FOOD!! Waffle Fries were hot and crunchy (much much better than chik fil a Fries) grilled cheese Brisket was delicious, cheese bowl was awesome!! Pigs in Blanket were good! Waitress was great, but would not let me post her pic or name!! Great place to eat, and not far off Interstate 84, be great road trip food!!

Nice big place with THE BEST country fried steak I've ever had! I've tried a lot of country fried steak all over the country so trust me! People are always friendly and the food is always good. Not very many options in the town but this place is definitely a winner.

Great menu for lunch or dinner. Large selection of steaks, and a variety of each category of sandwich type! Funny, attentive knowledgeable staff. Attractive, rustic atmosphere. Highly recommend them especially for small bands of travelers. They sat our party of 8 without batting an eye

Started the lunch off w an expired beer that was from Sept 24, 2023 (Red Hard Apple Cider) and ended with unseasoned skirt steak fajitas with a side of 45 minutes of waiting (and I have never had a fajita with barely any meat and extra broccoli … or any broccoli for that matter) Other than our very nice waitress - the experience was deserving of a 1 star but because of her kindness I’ll give a 3. Definitely no passion in that kitchen and WWGRD? ☠️

This place used to have the most amazing food, but as of the last 2 months the quality has really gone down. Idk if they're using lower quality meats or what, but the ribs in particular have been a huge disappointment lately. Their ribs used to be PERFECT--tender and falling off the bone. Now the last several times we've had them, they've been dry and tough. We thought maybe it was a one-off, but it's been the last 3 times we ordered the ribs and they're just awful. Same with the brisket. I hope they can sort out whatever the issues are and start serving good bbq again.

I used to come here regularly for meet-ups with friends. It's been a while, and my first time back was definitely a disappointment. I ordered mozzarella sticks to start and pene a la vodka. The mozzarella sticks were good. They just weren't sticks. I didn't try any, but my table all said the fries were great. The pasta, on the other hand, wasn't too good. The least they could've done was salt the water to at least season the pasta a bit. I feel like this place is white washed and caters to a bland pallet. As a business, you can't overdo it with the spices. I get that, but you can't just leave them out either. The food at least looks good if you don't mind taste much. The atmosphere was exactly the same. It hasn't changed. The atmosphere screams whorder. There's a ton of pictures and memorabilia that take up almost every single square inch of every wall throughout the restaurant. I loved the music, though. It was some alternative station that was playing a lot of 2000's rock, alternative, nu metal, etc. The service and servers were absolutely amazing. I had Sara (Sarah?), and she was very quick. You could grab anyone, though. Everyone was very helpful.

The other customers at the bar worked there, bartenders and wait staff. They were all obnoxiously drunk or appearing to be so. Excessively loud, yelling out Monica Lewinski/Bill Clinton jokes, thinking they were so hilarious. Portable cigar carrier, keep the cigar wet, etc. Disgusting. A poor representation of your employees and place of business. It made for an unpleasant and uncomfortable night for us. Ruined our night. I hope they all made it home safely or that someone was coming to pick them up. They should all be embarrassed.

Maybe it's 5 star for the people out here. But this is low rate pet food. Rubber calamari, no lemon, no taste, scraps or wilted lettuce. Nachos cheap canned chili and tostitos. The had a chance cuz if some fresh vegetables, but the canned chili killed it. I'd eat a dirty shoe before I ate here again.

Went here for lunch ordered waited 25 min waitress comes says it will just be a few more minutes. 10 minutes later she says the order was never put in. So she obviously lied about it being ready in a minuted. Never checked on our order. Will never estimate here ever.

I was there a few days ago the bartender joanie has a nasty attitude and drinking on the job . The food was okay when I was leaving there was a horrible smell I was parked by the dumpster there is a septic there with a tube running into another septic next to the dumpster human fecal matter all over absolutely disgusting.

Not only would chicken wings not cooked, but the bartender picked three couples out of four to invite for shots. One was one couple was black, and the other three were white. The white ones were invited for the shots. There was also a customer that was bashing Michelle Obama out loud enough to offend the other customers.
