Great food. Large portions and very affordable. Sat on the balcony over looking the busy street and was great. Ordered the barrisa soup and large Haimaicha.

Our first time eating breakfast at the Mercado. More specifically, a restaurant on the upstairs level called, Restaurant Terisita. There were tons of restaurants to choose from but we decided immediately, the one restaurant that was the most busiest and had available seats outside the terrace, wins. Terisita, it was! No regrets. We liked everything about the restaurant: our food, service and seating location. Oh and the price is surprisingly inexpensive. Teresita restaurant may not be the most modern looking or glamorous, but the place was clean, organized and had efficient staff working. We didn't have a specific server tending to our table but we were taken care of. All servers worked as a team. Regardless of the heat, walking up the stairs, or close quarters, when you're hungry, go try Terisita at the Mercado. Recommend 👍🏼

Upstairs at the Pino Suarez Market. Excellent food. Mexican-style marlin and grilled dogfish fillet. Good prices. 10 minutes from the Aquarium along the boardwalk on the Ruta Verde Centro (Green Route Center).

A true local experience. It is not very big and the patio seating, like all the restaurants on the second floor of the market, is a bit cramped but I love it. If you want a spotless, spacious experience that caters to gringos you won't find it here. The food is good and inexpensive. Could it be better? Of course, but it's not a Michelin restaurant. The service is good but like lots of places it may be a bit slow and spotty. Sitting outside is a great place for people watching, especially on cruise ship days when tourists mix with locals and the streets are crowded. I've tried most of food venues at the market and this is one of my favorites.

Another great little place upstairs at the Pena Suarez market. Good food value. I like the mole. Can be crowded on cruise ship days when crew use the place get of the ship, cook local food and have some fun. Great interactions when it happens.

For breakfast we had cumin, egg with machaca and machaca a la mexica; the flavor was passable, but the beans had a tendency to taste overcooked, the tortillas were cold, and as for the price in relation to the city, it was a bit expensive.

Whenever I visit Mazatlán, I always go to this restaurant. I love their food, especially the way they prepare the fish and aguachile. Highly recommended.

It was the worst experience of my trip. If you haven't been to this place yet, you're very lucky, and I advise you to stay that way. Let's start by saying it's not cheap, but the worst part is that it's full—or rather, infested—with cockroaches. You just have to be observant, and you'll find plenty of these bugs. And to top it all off, they have the worst coffee brewed in the world. Thanks, Restaurant Teresita, for giving such a bad name to tourism.

The service is awful. They take forever to bring even a simple dish. The waitress doesn't know how to do her job and is slow with everything you ask for. I don't recommend this place at all. If you're looking for good service, this is definitely not the place. A nightmare.

The service was terrible. We waited over 30 minutes and the food never arrived. They were very rude when we questioned our order. The coffee tasted awful, and they use powdered milk. The woman who seems to be the owner is rude and argumentative. I don't recommend it.
