Restaurant is located in a shopping center. Food is reasonably priced and tastes delicious. Great customer service. They have brunch and happy hour specials. I will come back.

Wow, I had such a wonderful experience at this restaurant! Everything was absolutely delicious, and the Mangonada was just perfect. Our server, Daniel, was incredibly friendly and went out of his way to fulfill all our requests, making the visit even more special.

salsa is spectacular. We just had beef fajitas off the lunch menu. They were seasoned well, but had quite a lot of onion. Service was spot on, they were on the ball and worked together for a great lunch experience.

Fairly new Mexican restaurant in a strip mall. This is part of a small chain. Food and service are great. Prices are fair. Atmosphere is lacking at this restaurant. Recommend.

Went by this place today for the first time. It was quiet because it was in the afternoon. A little late for lunch and a little early for dinner. There wasn't anyone at the bar or on the patio but there were a few tables of people inside. My first impression was that it seemed clean and organized. The young girl at the front (I think her name was Sherlyn?) greeted me as soon as I walked in and was very nice. I told her I would be ordering something to go and she gave me a menu. I ordered the Lola's Tacos with beef. While I was waiting I went to use the ladies room and it was very clean which is always a bonus. As I waited for my order, I was listening to a server describing some of the dishes to a table and he sounded very friendly and knowledgeable when it came to the menu. The tacos have a good amount of meat on them and I really liked the pico de gallo. The meal came with rice, bean soup and 2 sauces/salsas. It also came with a bag of tortilla chips. Everything was really good. If I had to say anything negative it would just be that the chips needed salt, it didn't taste like they had been salted at all. And, it would have been nice to get a couple of slices of lime with the tacos. But I feel like if you dined in, that might not be an issue. I really enjoyed everything though. From the service to the cleanliness to the food. I will be back!

Very nice atmosphere, fast and friendly service and our waitress was at our table every few mins to make sure our drinks weren't empty and that we didn't need anything. Loved the way the guacamole was made tableside :)

First time visiting. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had the tortilla soup and Calabasas as an Appetizer. Both good. Main plate the Chepa's taco plate, very good. And beef enchiladas. I felt the enchiladas were too oily for my taste, rest all very good.

Had an excellent lunch last Saturday at Chepa's Mexican Grill at their new location in McKinney at Stacy & Alma. We went on opening day and were actually their 2nd ever customers at the new place, but the service was excellent! These guys are experienced restauranteurs so I’m not surprised that there were no service issues on the first day! We started with their queso which might be my favorite queso anywhere (definitely top 3)!! We got a kids quesadilla, quesabirria tacos, cheese enchiladas and pollo a la crema. Everyone was a member of the clean plate club & there were no leftovers! The birria tacos (did miss the consommé) were very good and better than most (comes with 3 to an order and onions & cilantro on the side, but I didn’t get a pic before my 13 yr old devoured the first taco 😅). If you like sour cream chicken enchiladas, then you’ll love the Pollo a la crema. The seasoned, grilled chicken had the perfect amount of char which led to awesome bites of char mixed with sour cream and roasted Monterey Jack cheese. Delicious! 😋 My 70yr old uncle exclusively orders cheese enchiladas at Mexican food restaurants. And being a life long Texan, he’s eaten A LOT of cheese enchiladas in his lifetime. He’s also very reserved and rarely comments about food one way or the other. He said the cheese enchilada were “the best he’d ever had” and ate them so fast I couldn’t get a picture! High praise indeed! We were also surprised at how good the French fries are, especially when dipped in their queso! Also enjoyed their $3 mimosas on Saturday and Sunday!! Great experience, and we’re really excited to have a Chepa’s right down the road!! We will be regulars for sure!

From out of town. Loved their food and service. Great value and really fresh food. Loved their refried beans (you have to ask). Their chips were only ok. I like lighter thin style chips. And come on if the kind of chips they serve is your biggest complaint that says a lot! We’d go back for sure!

Started with a margarita and ordered the spinach and chicken sour cream enchiladas. Chepa's is absolutely wonderful, some of my favorite Mexican food to date. Flavorful and satisfying with fresh ingredients and a lovely patio. Highly recommend.

Stopped in for an early lunch. They are located in a strip center just off Stacy Rd. The place they are in was a pretty good burger place before. It sits 50 or so with a small outdoor patio and bar as soon as you walk in. It had just opened for the day so it was not busy at all. Server was very friendly and always close by if needed. I decided to go with the steak fajita nachos. They give you free chips and salsa to get started. Both are good and above average. Nachos came out quickly and it’s a good portion size. They come with sour cream, pico, and guacamole. The nachos are individually constructed. I prefer just a big pile of nachos where each bite is different. These were still better than average. I wasn’t blown away by them, but still happy. As mentioned there was plenty on the plate. These are not on the lunch menu so you pay dinner prices at $17.50. Overall it’s a good neighborhood place with very friendly service and above average food. I could see coming back although there are a ton of TexMex options within a few miles.

One of the dishes we ordered is Chiquita’s taco. I chose one chicken taco and two beef tacos. Just be aware - these tacos are spicy (at least for me). I didn’t expect that. Otherwise, the food was very fresh. Everything came out hot, like it was just made. The bean soup was cooked with bacon and was very delicious.

Chicken Fajitas: chicken was a little overcooked but the well done veggies were as requested. The fajita setup was fresh and no negatives. The sour cream chicken enchiladas were spot on. Taste was good and sour cream sauce also solid. They added chopped jalapeños on top when requested at no charge. Service was attentive and restrooms were very clean. Overall restaurant was also clean and inviting. One last note. The guacamole on the setup and pico de gallo were very fresh and tasty.

Ate here for lunch a little after 1 o’clock in the afternoon on Wednesday. Everybody was pretty friendly. Strange thing, have sign on the front door saying no public restroom. Was awkward asking around other people if they had a bathroom for customers. Looks like they are just managing to the exception of the random person coming in to use the restroom. Which is odd because it’s in the heart of Frisco, I wouldn’t think there were a lot of people that are not customers trying to use the restroom. Food was good, but not great. Had the fajitas chicken was a little tough like it had been in the microwave and the steak wasn’t like it just come off the grill more like it was coming out of some liquid base or something. The fried onions were the same tasted good just wasn’t great, the one gripe I have is that there were probably only three people in the restaurant and never got a refill on tea. There are so many good choices to eat just probably won’t repeat here even though it was good.

First time trying Chepa’s and it was good. the Guiso is not what I’m used to, but still good. The shrimp dish was delicious. The rice and beans were good as well, but I’d wish the flower tortillas tasted more homemade. Margaritas were on point and the service and ambiance were great. The places is good enough for us to return and try something else on the menu.

The ambiance here is solid and the staff were pleasant, though the service started a little awkward at times. While the food wasn't "bad," it was surprisingly bland. We spent about $55 on dinner (no alcohol), ordering the Queso, Fajita Chicken Nachos, Brisket Enchiladas, and a Kids Meal. The Queso: It seemed very processed—similar to Rico's with some Rotel added—rather than a fresh house-made dip. The Enchiladas: These were the biggest letdown. They felt like simple tomato sauce on corn tortillas with unseasoned brisket. For the price, the quality felt more like bulk dining hall food than a $55 dinner. I acknowledge that we didn't try the fajitas, and clearly, this spot fits the market here given the high ratings. However, based on the lack of flavor in what we ordered, I don't think we would go back.
