This is my first time in a restaurant and it was such an experience from the dining to the whole atmosphere definitely have to come back with my friends

I honestly felt like I traveled through time. The atmosphere gives the 50s! It was very clean and the food was delicious!

If Wes is on the grill, get the pancakes. They were dynamite! I've been to about 20 diners this year on a pancake tour of long island, these were in the top tier. Wasn't sure what to expect when I went. The atmosphere and the old fashion vibe is fun, service style is somewhere between going to a deli and a diner just FYI (you don't really have a waitress/waiter, you order at the counter. Wes was nice enough to bring our food out though).

Recently our firm hosted a seminar for 20 attendees in the large conference room @ 535 Broadhollow Rd., Melville. We used Retro Kitchen’s catering services for our event and were quite pleased with the catering team and the breakfast selection we received. To say the Retro Kitchen’s staff exceeded our expectations would be an understatement. Everything went so well, we are hosting another event at their location this month.

This place was very nice and very clean!! The french toast were amazing!! The chef Wesley was very sweet and very patient! Highly recommend!

I go there every now and then for lunch when I'm in the area. The chefs there are very helpful and pleasant. The food is ALWAYS of good quality and the portion sizes are filling. I have told several associates about this cafe and everyone who visited has thanked me.

Lunch is always great. Service is always with a smile. I recommend coming in. It is always clean, and the decor is definitely fun! I appreciate having a place like this available to those in the building, as well as, those who would like to stop in for a treat.

One of the most affordable, delicious, not greasy at all meals I have ever had. I love the versatility of breakfast, and lunch with so many possibilities on what to eat. The customer service is 5 star and very accommodating. Make sure to ask the chef about the specials as well. I would highly recommend this establishment as a quick bite to eat during lunch breaks or to get breakfast before work. Either way it is a must go.

1st time eating here. Had to find the entrance on the N. side of an office building on the N. bound side of Broad Hollow Rd/rte. 110. Food was excellent. Items we tried were the Grand Marnier french toast, and their signature burger, with blue cheese, hold the bacon. Side of sweet potato fries. Although I couldn't taste any of the menu-advertised flavor on the French toast, it was still tasty with good texture. When I mentioned I couldn't taste any of the flavors (orange zest etc), they were nice enough to surprise me with a second order. I still couldn't taste anything but the toast, but it was still very tasty and I appreciated their efforts. Worthy of note: Our 1st burger was so good, we shared a 2nd one. So tasty, I didn't realize I didn't add ketchup until after the burger was gone. Would definitely return for this burger (& they didn't skimp on the cheese!). Sweet potato fries were hot and tasty. Did add pepper and ketchup out of habit. It was our waitress Nicole's 1st day and I appreciated she took the time to help my mother figure out the menu items. Definitely "retro" decor as my mother actually recognized the tables' pattern from when she was a kid. I Love Lucy reruns played on the t.v. and a juke box stood in the corner. No, I didn't think to try a song on it. Negatives: -Didn't see a wheelchair ramp, only stairs. -Bathrooms are through a door & around 2 corners without any signs pointing the way. Difficult for people mobility issues to get to/from (but not impossible) and I've eaten places where the walk was longer. The reason I didn't subtract a star for these negatives is due to the 3 staff members I met who seemed wonderful and provided a positive dining experience.

Chef Matt does a great job and if you need/want changes he is so accommodating! The atmosphere is so cute 50s themed. It has a great space for catering a themed party or business event. Good pricing makes it a great breakfast or lunch spot.

This is my go-to place for lunch every day. They serve great food and are always adding to the menu with new items to try. I usually get the chicken caesar wrap or a cheeseburger, and now I can't have either of those anywhere else without comparing it to how much better it is here. No matter what you order to eat, you won't be disappointed. I've had so many burgers here I think I am starting to become one!

Awesome hidden gem. Food is good, quick, and very reasonable. Not many other places nail the old fashioned vibe like this place does! Highly recommend their Ultimate BLT.

Changing my old review. Eggs were greasy and dripping one time, but I’m sure it was a fluke; I went here numerous times afterword and the food was spectacular every time, no doubt. My whole office comes here for breakfast/lunch. Highly recommend!!!!

Retro has been my go to spot for lunch the last 3 weeks since I found them! Never disappointed when I order from here! The food is always fantastic and the prices are great as well! Everything I have tried on the menu so far has been amazing especially the burgers and cheesesteak!! 100% would recommend to everyone

Chef Matt single-handedly changed the breakfast/lunch scene on the usual office space barren Melville/Farmingdale corridor. As a veteran of pretty much every office building on that strip, I would know. He has great specials everyday and can accommodate any meal to your liking. A tremendous talent and hard working person, he has turned Retro Kitchen into a success.

The owner Matt is always there and aims to please. Always cool specials popping up and once you get to know him, he can whip you up something tasty and delicious not on the menu as long as he has the ingredients. His chopped cheese is on point! Thanks Matt!

I had a Rubin and my husband had a bowl of chicken soup and a hero. Food was delicious and reasonable. The staff were very friendly. We will definitely go back

Truly excellent food and great environment. The food is quick and convenient but the quality is next level. Scale of 1-10, 10, I highly recommend for anyone in the area.

A rather obscure location, but worth finding. Great breakfast and super nice and attentive owner. We were visiting from Waco, Tx. And looked for good breakfast places. We were so glad that we found this one!

It's a nice hidden old style dinner in an office space. 2 entrances is a plus. Might just plan a weekend party there.

Nice little off the grid spot, a little hard to find but it means you get the place to yourself more often than not. The food is pretty average but good for the price, I only got a grilled cheese though.

We had the Turkey Club and the Philly Cheese steak sandwich, both of which were great. Onion rings were a bit of surprise; given the retro vibe of this restaurant, I expected onion rings made of onion slices and not chopped onion; nevertheless, they had a decent flavor. The menu had a lot of choices. This is an order-at-cashier-and-seat-yourself place. The cashier service is friendly, tip at the counter. Good choices of fountain drinks as well as a selection of bottled drinks. Walls are decorated with humorous 50s and 60s placards and the furnishings, while sparse, are very much 50s diner. Retro Kitchen is a hidden gem that's tucked away in a kind of industrial park spot. It's not a place you'd spot from the road, but definitely give these guys a try if old-fashioned diner favorites are what you're looking for.

Well, it looks like a classy diner from pictures, however, it’s much hidden in a building and it seems to be for private customers within the building, the food is obviously all frozen and just warmed up unless it’s like eggs, the workers there are kind and they do their job well, but this place has so much potential
