Big coffee shop, lots of area to sit & work or unwind. The rose lychee tea latte was bland and overpriced. The energy bite was delicious! The cookie had milk chocolate chips which I prefer dark. It also wasn't baked in the middle. They should have refrigerated the dough and adjusted their bake temperature. I'll be back but only for the energy bite and try the black tea next time. I was there today around noontime.
The Coffee Bar is one of those rare spots that nails both style and substance. It’s a spacious, beautifully designed space that manages to feel both lively and laid-back. The baristas are genuinely kind—no pretentious vibes here—just good energy and great coffee. I had the light roast flat white, and it was everything I want in a cup: bright, smooth, and flavorful with zero bitterness. And don’t sleep on the peanut butter protein ball—it’s the kind of snack you think you’re being “healthy” for ordering, but then you end up craving it for the flavor alone. Whether you’re catching up with a friend, getting some work done, or just soaking in the scene, this place delivers. Already looking forward to coming back.
A trendy spendy coffee shop in a retail spot that feels like a warehouse - I mean that in the best possible way, it's a vibe. I wanted to stop there, at a trendy coffee shop, however the COFFEE IS SO GOOD—even the decaf. There's tons of seating, even tons of parking. Can't always say that in Melo Park.
Beautiful modern, woody with metal, coffee shop design! The ambiance and spaciousness is worth coming to this coffee shop alone! I got the avocado toast. It wasn’t particularly different taste from other avocado toast out there, but still was well put together, and over a very thick bread. Avocado toast was ~8+. Edited review: monday 2:50pm no seats inside! Waited 15min for bar table. When gets cold, may be a problem.
First time visiting and I was blown away by the amazing space and how large and accommodating it felt to come to this place. Tried a pour over in a personal cup and my friend tried their seasonal chocolate mocha. Both were tasty and well prepared. Off street parking is abundant and seems to be shared with a few businesses. WiFi was a bit slow and am not sure if it was just because of the crowd was there. Coffeebar was quite full of people, but my friend and I were able to find a spot. There’s a lot of seating but many people were either studying or families hanging out. There are tables dedicated to all kind of experiences from sofa like seating to coffee shop seating to large study tables and booths too. Coffeebar also had some food selection but due to the hours, I wasn’t able to try some of their dishes. You pay a premium for the location and ambiance through the food and coffee, but is what you expect to enjoy this place. Recommended esp. for a good convo or to hang out and read or study. Update. Still as cool of a space but definitely packed in the afternoon. I think many know of this place and so lots of people show up. Recommended.
This was my first time ever going to this coffee shop. I've always seen a lot of people go into this building with a briefcase or laptop, but I honestly thought it was an office building and not a workspace/coffee shop!! Lol. I was rather shocked to see it was a coffee shop, and I liked all their seasonal winter drinks! I wanted to try the Nordic water, but the barista said sadly they got hit really hard on Sunday with a bunch of coffee lovers and they ran out of the mixture. I decided to get a regular latte with almond milk and a gluten-free blueberry muffin as well as a chocolate croissant! All three items were delicious, and I was really surprised how creamy the almond milk was on the latte!! Almond milk usually taste kind of flat to me, but this almost taste like a hemp milk or perhaps a macadamia nut milk! I was very impressed!! Not to mention the gluten-free blueberry muffin, and the giant chocolate croissant was so flaky and crunchy with the perfect amount of chocolate inside!! Inside, there were two different work areas one could go to while the register area was towards the middle of the store. I really wish I could work from home and sit in this coffee shop all day and order lunch, a salad and maybe some avocado toast with a nice glass of wine! No joke they had all of that and more!! The only thing I would keep from giving them five stars is the area in which you're supposed to wait/ stand as you're waiting for your drink. Since this was my first time here and it was a Monday around 11 AM, there seem to be a lot of people coming and going by the pick up counter. I stood off to the side, but I felt as if I was getting in everyone's way either in front or behind me. Lol the restrooms are also to the right hand side, so perhaps they were all going to and from the restroom or getting a booth?! Nevertheless, I didn't want to stand in the back of the café, where you could doctor up your drink because there's a trashcan there, but | felt I would block the walkway for people coming out of that seating area as well. Lol. I will definitely go back again, and I can't wait to try that Nordic latte!!
Lots of seating but the WiFi only lets you connect for 2 hours. The drinks were average but the only option is paper cups, it would have been better to get a nice mug for a hot coffee.
Overall, the atmosphere and coffee are both quite good. However, there are a couple of small issues - sometimes they serve coffee in takeaway cups even though you’ve paid for dine-in cups, and the Wi-Fi automatically disconnects after two hours, which can be a quite annoying.
I love this Coffeebar! Their lattes are great, and pretty big. They give it to you in a reusable cup if you order it for here, which is lovely. The staff was very nice too, and it didn't take too long to get our drinks. My only complaints were that it is very expensive, and it's hard to get a seat. There's lots of seats inside and outside: booths, big tables, small tables, little chairs outside.
Went there at 2 pm on Tuesday July 4th at closing time . Ordered 2 hot chocolate and one vanilla soda ..both items were good but hit chocolate was not hot it was warm . Since we didn't have much time as they were closing we need to get out of the shop soon .good place to have relaxed coffee and various sodas of different flavours
Their orange cranberry muffin was soo delicious. Definitely must try. Also their croissant, very flaky and tasty. But, got disappointed with latte. They said they don't have cups and served in to-go cups which is okay. But, the latte was really light and didn't have coffee aroma. Previous times I had visited, their latte used to be good - maybe depends on the day. I prefer their redwood city location for latte as they are consistently excellent. Also, getting a seat inside during the weekend is impossible. Most people work there and occupy entire table - when we visited we saw one person per table with their laptops even if it was a four seater. Maybe they could change this seating policy.
Ambience is nice and it’s great for studying. It can be pretty crowded though especially once school hours are over. Prices are pretty high tho — an 8oz coffee is almost $8. Insane. I like coming here for the study vibes but I cant justify coming often because of the prices as it adds up. I will say that I wasn’t super impressed by their coffee or matcha.
I love coming to Coffeebar for work. I think it’s the best place to get stuff done productively and I’m so glad that it got added to the Menlo Park coffee shop scene. I never really leave reviews because I don’t like to say something negative online (I would have addressed it in person there, but always feel that the staff is stand-off-ish and doesn’t care), however, after consistently coming here, I am frustrated that the bathrooms are always dirty! Everything is super expensive, but admittedly also great quality, so I feel the bathrooms should reflect that. I do love, though, that the place has put up an initiative to create community in coffee houses, and I greatly appreciate that effort. Thank you, Coffeebar, for doing that!
Busy coffee shop when we arrived. I think it could be because of car show at the parking lot. Our cashier was not that friendly. It could be because the shop was very crowded. I prefer the Redwood city location. We ordered latte and waffle. They are yummy. Something is misleading. I see that cold latte comes with 16 oz. I said I wanted 16 oz, and the person said it only comes with 12 oz.
The vibes here are completely cooked if you're looking to relax on a weekend. Feels like you're walking into an open plan, corporate office. Crowded, everyone working on laptops, etc. If that's what you're looking for you will love this place! Coffee is typical bay area $7 for decent quality.
