Cooper stays here a few times a year. He loves the staff there and he is well cared for.

As I walked up with my dog, I noticed that the other dogs entering were very happy to be there. Staff is friendly and attentive.

This place is great! When we need to board our dog, we always take her here. The inside/outside kennel is great, they always make sure she is safe and the dogs around her, and never want to give her back. We can tell she is well taken care of.

So happy they take both my dog and my bird! They did a little socialization test to see if my dog did well with other dogs and he passed. Makes me feel like he’s super safe there. Plus my dog absolutely loves going.

Not only do we love doggy day care, our dog Sharkie is always well taken care of and plays his little heart out with all the other dogs. Staff is always extremely helpful, professional and kind. We have occasionally used them for boarding and that was great as well. Thank you, University Pet Resort!

I board my jackrussle here. They are amazing. Always very friendly and take great care of my doggie. He gets a bath and a nail trim.

Took great care of my very large cat, even posting a video on Facebook while I was gone to show me him having fun. I will trust them with Buddy Holly again soon.

We love the resort. My Maggie loves it and whimpers the days following. I think it's because she likes the other dogs.

My friend needed a place for his pet while he went to go on vacation. They did the best for his pets in the past, so now every year this is a great vacation spot for his pet.

I was very very pleased with the care my Momo received at the UPR 😍 It was my first time leaving him alone for a week and I was relieved to know I could call any ask about him 😊 he had a lot of fun and I was told he made lots of friends with the other cats! They (dogs) take them into the common area and other dogs play with them and when your dogs go back in their kennel the toy is forgotten. Just make sure everything you brought is also brought out with the dogs when you pick them up. Fair prices for the area, and appreciate a free bath if dogs are there more than a week. Also like that there is a vet office right next door for emergencies. Good peace of mind.

They do a good job, and their prices are good, but their hours are so inconvenient. They're not open on Sundays, which is when I frequently return from trips. And if you work 8-5 like many people do, you have to take off work to drop off or pick up your pet.

These people did not treat my dog bite they did not feed him the food i give to them and they lost my dog's favorite blanket I'm very upset at that

I have been taking my dog there for six years. I currently have two dogs. They stay in separate kennels and this time when I came back both of my dogs testicles were raw like they were burnt. I asked the staff if they knew anything that happened to my dogs and she said no we clean the pins out daily. It may be urine, so my poor dogs been in pain for over a week trying to put Neosporin and I feel so bad because it’s gone up so much I pay hundreds each time they stay and will never take my dogs there again :(

My Wife Rachel and l went on a Mini-Vacay for 3 days and chose to Kennel our 2 Dogs Buster (Blue-Nose Male 2yr old) & Heidi (our Lab‐Pit Mix Female 7yr old). On our last day of the Mini-Vacay Rachel called to see if everything was okay and to let them know we were thinking about picking the Dogs up early when we were informed that they had to separate Buster & Heidi because Heidi was attacking Buster. My Wife & l looked at each other shocked to hear the employee state that to us. Eventually, Rachel convinced me to leave early to pickup the Dogs up which we did. When we got there, it took 20 minutes to bring them out to us.They were both waggin their tails' & were very happy to see us. Once we got home, we could immediately tell Heidi wasn't acting herself. She was walking with a Limp and her right eye was swollen & looked as if she was kicked, wouldn't eat & slept in her bed for 4 days before she came back to the Heidi we knew. Our Dogs do not attack each other, they clean each other & chase each other throughout the House playing! Heidi protects & nurtures Buster & will come to his rescue if some other Dog barks at him & she is serious about it when that happens. Needless to say, we will not Kennel our Dogs there again, they are not TRUST-WORTHY!

However, when I got there with Pinky all of the dogs were barking uncontrollably making Pinky uncomfortable and it gave me a bad feeling. She was fine when I checked in the first night but the morning I was supposed to pick her up, I received a voicemail from them with a serious matter. I called back immediately and talked to Beth (the manager) and she told me that Pinky was out on the yard and she escaped through a hole in the fence that they didn't realize was there and ran into the orchards across the street. Pinky is my emotional support dog and I’ve had her for 10 years so she is family to me. I immediately drove to University Pet Resort(over 2 hours from my job) and searched the orchards for 3 days. Staff [Sarah and Beth] and even their family members helped me search, mostly on the first day. When there was no sign of her, I suggested a lost pet detective but they only offered to pay for half (it was over $1,000 per day). A good Samaritan found Pinky after nearly running her over in the orchards almost 3 days after she was lost, before the pet detective could come to Merced. I am giving University Pet Resort 1-star because they didn’t take adequate responsibility for my dog. They were blaming the incident on Pinky for being nervous. They're supposed to be the "professionals". Not only that, but they take off all of the dog's collars as soon as they arrive to the resort. What a lousy policy. They need to take more preventative measures in the future.  Save yourself the heartache and don't take your dog or cat to University Pet Resort.
