Fourth churros stop on this Mexican vacation. First stop was Playa del Carmen where the churros were 3 out of five stars... overcooked and oily. Next stop was Bacalar...two locations. The first was Mr. Churros and his churros were excellent (5 of 5). The other location the churros were slightly undercooked but still good (4.8 of 5). Lastly Churreria. Churros were excellent. Cooked just right with a proper amount of cinnamon and sugar coating). Possibly a slightly better experience than Mr. Churros because here was eat-in fir a more relaxing experience. ... sorry no photos...they disappeared very soon after getting them.

A pleasant café with a very quiet atmosphere. The interior only has three tables, so it feels very intimate and cozy. We ordered two filled churros, a coffee, and a chai tea, and everything was delicious. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The decor is very pretty with different types of lighting (neon, warm, and white), and the bathroom is a bit odd because the sink is too large; it looks like it was the bathroom of an old mansion. In total, we spent $230 pesos.

beautiful small cafe in the heart of merida downtown (centro). pinterest worthy patio and reasonably priced beverages. the staff are super friendly and helpful. if you are in merida and looking for a quiet afternoon- try this!

The food is good, the passion fruit slush is excellent, the service is very good, the prices are average, I would say a little pricey, but the place was very nice. It's a bit small, but the terrace is beautiful. It's the only way to access the patio. I think I'd come back with a nice outfit and take photos. The outside needs a little sprucing up, but the style is very beautiful. It's worth stopping the hustle and bustle and going. There were hardly any people there when I went, so it was relaxing.

It was an awsome experience! Churros very good, ice-kaffe was the best I had during our trip in yucatan but the best was the lovely worker! Im really happy we gave it a shot!

This stylish, albeit slightly small, shop serves delicious churros, coffee, ice cream, and more. The churros are fried to order, so they're hot and crispy. They're topped with plenty of cinnamon sugar and chocolate. They're a bit pricey, but I think they're worth it. I ended up going every day during my stay in Merida.

Deliciosos los churros, chocolate y el menú de Chilaquiles con jugo de naranja. El lugar muy bien y limpio, bonito, las señoritas que atienden muy amables. La parte de afuera era la Casa del Lagarto de los Laviada, aunque está un poco viejito es un lugar con historia. Hay estacionamientos junto.

Me parece que su servicio es bueno, su especialidad son claramente los churros, los frappes no tanto, pienso que eso puede mejorar, el lugar es agradable. Es muy íntimo ya que tiene poco espacio si quieres disfrutar del aire acondicionado, pero si lo tuyo es el exterior, tiene un espacio muy lindo para disfrutar y tomarse fotos.

Bonito lugar. Al atención es buena. Muy ricos los churros rellenos. El chocolate muy rico igual El lugar es pequeño pero bonito. El jardín es súper por la casa que es antigua y hermosa. Buen lugar para fotos.

He visitado el lugar varias veces y creo que ya puedo dar una opinión objetiva. El lugar muy bonito, la comida buena, al igual que las bebidas, algo elevado el precio pero no excesivo. Sobre el servicio, asistí tanto en la mañana como la tarde y son diferentes empleados, los chicos de la tarde son muy pendientes y agradables con los clientes, te sacan conversación y el ambiente se siente igual agradable con ese toque juvenil en la música, por otro lado el turno de las chicas en la mañana no me pareció tan agradable, se ve que hacen las cosas a la carrera, un poco desorganizadas diría y el ambiente se siente pesado, una ventaja es el servicio de desayunos que tienen en el horario de la mañana. Mi recomendación es el frappé moka que siempre pido, pero el sabor de la mañana y el de la tarde son muy diferentes, yo me quedo con el que hacen los chicos. Sin duda, mis visitas futuras serán incontables

Porfirio's traditional churros are a must-try if you're in Mérida. They're not exactly new, but they're a true tradition. The hot chocolate is delicious and should be enjoyed with a churro, either plain or filled. The downtown location is a bit small but cozy, with tables and chairs if you want to linger and enjoy your churros and hot chocolate, or even do some schoolwork or other activities on your laptop. I ordered the cup of mini churros covered in Hershey's chocolate, which is my favorite way to enjoy them. Order them with your favorite topping, as they offer several (dulce de leche, cajeta, jam, etc.). The churros here are always freshly made. The sugar and cinnamon mixture is delicious, although to be honest, the dough would be even better with a bit more flavor.

Los churros son ricos, pero en cuanto, al aire acondicionado esta más caliente adendro del lugar que afuera, el espacio de patio está todo empolvado, las plantas empolvadas, la mesa estaba pegajosa, los techos al ser muy antiguos y sin un mantenimiento de albañilería corre uno mucho riesgo que caiga pedazos de techo, no es lugar para consumir en el lugar, la decoración atrae.

Bland and too mushy in the middle. These were delivered, so the food was 3/5.

El cafe muy basico y artificial, los churros no se si asi sea siempre la presentacion, pero estaban pesimos, rotos y un sabor de relleno que no termina de convencer. El recinto lo acondicionaron bien para ser un edificio historico, pero la comida no convence.

El chocolate es rico, pero los churros dejan mucho que desear, parecen papitas fritas 🥲

Buen día, he acudido a este sitio en múltiples ocasiones y creo que ya puedo dar una opinión objetiva. La comida es buena, los churros son ricos, los helados son buenos, los granizados estan regulares a comparación de otros lugares y respecto a precio/calidad. Me he encontrado con la peculiaridad de que la comida depende el horario en el que vayas, sabe totalmente diferente, asi como en las bebidas, lo único rescatable son los churros. Por otro lado si hablamos del servicio, es totalmente desagradable. Cuando fui por primera vez llegue y me recibieron con una sonrisa y un amable saludo. Conforme el paso de el corto tiempo que lleva este negocio, ahora entras, e independientemente el horario te ponen mala cara y rara vez te reciben. El ambiente no es amigable, y ni se diga cuando hay gente, tardan mucho tiempo en entregarte las cosas, y a veces incluso te las entregan mal, no ponen atención a lo que el cliente pide, desde la persona en caja que no apunta adecuadamente las cosas, hasta la persona que las lleva (Ejemplo, pedí un café frío y me lo entregaron como una hora después y caliente) Si van a ofrecer un servicio donde tu puedas salir a la terraza tranquilamente a esperar tus productos, deberian tener a una persona encargada de llevar las cosas, y que vea que todo esta en orden. En IG todo se ve muy bonito, pero la realidad es totalmente diferente. Por estos motivos creo que este lugar no vale ni un centavo de su dinero, hay mucho mejores cafes que valen mas la pena.

Churros was delicious, but employees were really rude with us (laughing behind our back when they thought we are not watching them), and made fun of our spenish pronunciation (we are foreigners). I don't know why they apply irrespectful people in a town that is full of tourists.
