El que supongo que es el dueño le da duro a crear contenido en Tik Tok y sinceramente eso fue lo que me hizo venir a conocer este lugar. La comida y la bebida están a muy buen precio, el servicio es excepcional, te hacen sentir bastante a gusto. En el momento que vine había unos borrachines y créanme que manejaron muy bien la situación, ellos se la siguiente pasando bien y los demás nunca nos sentimos incómodos. Lástima que mi visita a Mérida fue corta porque me hubiera gustado volver a ir. Vine en domingo y hay grupo en vivo, la chava canta increíble.

Excelente lugar para ir a tomarse algo y pasar un buen rato. Una de las cantinas más tradicionales de Mérida. El ambiente es súper tranquilo y el personal muy amable. Los precios son muy razonables, volvería sin dudarlo.

La Montejo más rica de mi vida con gran ambiente de Cantina mexicana, hay días que tocan en vivo y se pone muy bueno, el plato Yucateco súper recomendable, el servicio muy bien!

De mis lugares favoritos para ir por una cerveza y escuchar música en vivo. El cardenal ofrece variedad de bebidas y platillos. Me encanta cuando tienen promos de cahuama y almuerzo. El servicio es excelente, Arka rifado.

Excelente lugar, muy buen ambiente y precios muy accesibles, te pasas un rato muy agradable ya que el dueño y los trabajadores son personas muy sociables y te hacen sentir en casa y más que uno viene desde León, Guanajuato y pues buscamos este tipo de lugar, además es de muy fácil acceso, se encuentra en esquina y queda a unas 5 cuadras de mi hospedaje y a 3 cuadras del Parque Santiago, lo cual lo hace muy fácil de llegar. Los alimentos están deliciosos, los salbutes de cochinita están riquísimos, así mismo los kibis de queso bola y lo más espectacular es la salsa de habanero que preparan, deliciosa y muy picosa, lo cual hace un complemento excelente para acompañar tus alimentos. También me tocó ver que tienen dj en vivo, así mismo grupo musical versátil, lo cual hace que haya una variedad en la música que ponen en el lugar. La decoración esta genial y te sirven en unos vasos muy originales, que son fondos de botellas (de botellas de bebidas alcohólicas) lo cual lo hace un genial detalle al beber tu cerveza. No puedo decir más que el lugar está super recomendado para que comiences la fiesta.

El Cardenal aún conserva el espíritu de las cantinas antiguas de la ciudad: las puertas vaqueras, las botanas pequeñas, la música en vivo casi todas las noches. Este lugar es ideal para pasar una larga tarde en buena compañía, y luego una noche de baile y canto. Los precios están por debajo del promedio de la zona y el servicio es cálido.

Es una “cantina” sencilla pero te hace sentir cómodo. Ideal si lo que quieres es tomarte una cerveza solo por el calor de la cuidad, yo fui en la tarde, los meseros son muy amables. Me encantó que te traen diversas botanas en el transcurso que estás ahí. Se me hace un lugar padre si no quieres gastar tanto y quieres estar tranquilo

Recent renovations (paving over the gravel in the outdoor space, bathroom upgrades, etc) have only served to enhance this favorite spot of ours. We often go with friends to enjoy the music (easier to talk outdoors) and the consistently attentive service. Neither fancy or fresa, this place is very welcoming to all: co-workers having a drink after work; adult families; friends and even date nights. Our overall feeling is that they are genuinely happy to welcome customers—new and regular alike. Good value for the hospitality and experience.

Really nice, relaxed. Great place for a beer on an early afternoon. No crowd today, but was hard to get in on the weekend. Mostly a local hangout. Botanas were very good for a small price. From the menu, I had their chicken sabututes, which were excellent and reasonably priced. Overall, much nicer than the pre-covid days. It has probably been here for 50+ years. I was here in 1977 and again in 2006. Was more divy on those days. Just reopened after covid shutdown. Another place I am adding to my list of great Merida cantinas.

I came for an early lunch on a weekday and the place was nearly empty, which is what I was looking for. It was relaxing, and the food was good. They didn't have all the vets listed on the menu, but that's nothing unusual these days. I had panuchos with chicken (my first) and enjoyed them. With two beers they were enough for a light and beery lunch. I like the selection of music they were playing and could see coming back in the evening for food, drinks & live music.

Fui entre semana. A sólo 3 cuadras de la terminal ADO. Hay buena música y los fines de semana hay banda en vivo, con algunos tributos. Muy céntrico, precios accesibles en bebidas y promos. Mi orden demoró 1/2 hora, pero la botana no para. Me gustó mucho la deco.

Excelente opción para pasar la noche en la ciudad. Excelente ambiente, con tres zonas distintas en donde te puedes acoplar según el plan en el que vayas al lugar (barra, interior y jardín exterior). No consumí alimentos, pero en general se veían bien y había buena variedad. Sobre precios, creo que eran accesibles y se manejaba un buen servicio. La única situación es que fui un domingo y cerraban a las 10pm, lo cual era muy temprano, a mi parecer, pero en general fue una experiencia muy agradable. La música en vivo amenizaba de excelente manera, no puedo esperar a regresar en el futuro, sin duda volvería.

Me gusta regresar cuando puedo, no está abarrotado de turistas, el servicio ha sido bueno y recuerdo que hubo un tiempo que daban clases de salsa. Si quieren algo chevere con sus amigos y precopear, es el lugar ideal. No tiene clima asi que vayan con sed para quitarse el calor con las cheves.

Place is well decorated: Funny pictures, clever use of recycled stuff, old fashioned furniture. During our visit they had an issue with water coming out from bathroom but it was attended in no time. We came for a short live concert with covers from famous bands, it was fun to sing along with the band, but audio wasn´t the best (too loudly, not equalized). Food was good although it's not their best option since it's not a restaurante but a bar (cantina). French fries were fresh and homemade, and the empanadas filled with queso de bola were good enough. You better come thristy, beer options are very good and they have 1 liter botles in the menu!

Llegamos al lugar como a las 8pm y ya estaba llenísimo, solo quedaban lugares en la parte de atrás, pedimos un cardenawaay (un plato botanero), una orden de tacos de cochinita, dos cervezotas y 3 vasos de chelada . (Dividida la cuenta entre 3 personas fue aprox. $242 + propina). Dejando de un lado que las mesas están muy pegadas unas de otras el ambienta está 10/10, hay música en vivo y la atención por parte de lxs meserxs también es muy buena. Recomiendo el lugar para pasar el rato e ir a tomar.

Welcome to Mérida’s oldest cantina. Having opened its doors over 100 years ago, this traditional style bar is packed with colorful, glitchy decor and folk stories from the locals. The staff is friendly and drinks are cheap. Food is okay, but good enough to snack while you chat it up with friends, listen to some live music or stop for a beer on the way home. They keep all the bar basics in the menu; burgers, nachos, pizza and a few Yucatecan dishes. The place is not very big, so the live bands can get in the way of having a conversation…live music most days of the week after 7pm. Drink specials on the weekends on beer and mezcal.

Fui por recomendación de dueño en tiktok y la verdad da mucho que desear, llegue a las 7pm cerveza caliente, sin botana, pedí un vaso escarchado me hicieron gestos por el mesero, se tardaron en traelo y mi cerveza quedo más caliente.... Una exageración, el lugar le falta mantenimiento, baños sucios, con agua en el piso, mal olor, en fin caótico. No lo recomiendo :( prefiero ir a gastar mi dinero en lucero, ahí por lo menos los baños están agradables y hay buen ambiente...

Uno va por la música y un tributo a tu banda favorita, pero los meseros y/o dueño son muy insistentes en que uno tome y es tanta su insistencia que incomoda. Consumí y todo pero al no ser suficiente casi me hechan. Entiendo que es un negocio, pero tampoco es que uno tenga que pedir algo cada 10min por ocupar un asiento y ni es tan genial el lugar. Es uno de mala muerte. Nota literal. Si no sigues consumiendo entonces ¡VETE!

Pésimo lugar, no vengan. No sé si porque no somos de aquí, pero nos trataron pésimo, la comida horrible, nos llevaron una vez frijoles y totopos y párale de contar. La cerveza rica y bien fría, los tarros chelados ricos. Pero la actitud de los que atienden pésimo. No fueron a recoger los muertos de la comida, todo muy mal. Yo vine porque leí los comentarios y vi la calificación, y por la historia que tiene. Pensé que venir sería bueno. Pero fue una pésima idea. Así que si vienen de otro estado o de la Ciudad de México, mejor ni vengan, los van a tratar mal. Y se nota porque a los de aquí si los tratan bien. Qué mala impresión la verdad, y es mi primer día en Mérida.

Pues en general, la botana "GRATIS" solo hasta las 5 pm, pero los precios altisimos aun se mantienen, curioso, se supone que le suben a los precios para compensar las botanas, pero $120mxn por un misil de $40 mxn de modelo, es una exageración, sin botana, sin limon siquiera o sal o algo para picar. Absolutamente nada, compre unas papas con boneles y sabian a panucho, supongo que por el aceite reciclado de sus fritangas. Carisimo lugar, la atencion, bueno, no tuve atencion, tuve que llamar al mesero cada que queria algo, la mesa mojada de la botella fría. La michelada, insipida, sin sabor a nada mas que a limon con poquita salsa inglesa, por 30 pesos me compraba medio litro de una cualquiera de modelorama. La verdad tenia años queriendo venir, por el comediante del facebook, y hasta que al fin pude, me lleve mi decepción.

The most horrible food I had in Mexico. We ordered the yucateco plate and every single item was either burnt or tasted like nothing. The cocktails had no alcohol in them and even the michelada wasn’t so good. The music was too loud and the toilets were dirty. On top of that the waiter complained when we didn’t tip. I don’t understand all the good reviews.
