Wonderful tamales! Mxn 20 each, various fillings available, very tasty and filling. They open at 3.30pm only. Since the place is tiny, we ate the tamales in the park around the corner (Santa Ana), which was lovely. They also give you some salsa and marinated onions to go with tamales, like they do in most places around Merida.

I have no complaints, really, but the chaya tamales with cheese worried me a little because they were partially orange, and they seemed to have bits of ham in them, but the ham crumbled just like the rest of the masa and didn't have a special flavor. And I couldn't find the cheese; maybe it was too mixed in with the masa. The boy wanted to give me a chicken tamale to try.
