Great food, surprised how good the Cali burrito was! I also recommend the Tacos of any meat choice, they are delicious. A dressing bar is also available, they have great variety of sauces that tastes amazing. Definitely a place to stop for a bite and enjoy a conversation with friends.
I met the owner of 222 Taco at a Photography meet-up I organized at We Work last week. She invited me to come have "authentic Mexican tacos" at her restaurant. I was skeptical since there's a lot of restaurants in Miami that claim to have authentic Mexican tacos. But surprisingly, the tacos were so good. I had the Carne Asada and a Pollo taco, chips and guacamole, and a Mexican Coca-Cola. The location is great too. I love North Bay Village. I will definitely come back again.
What a pleasant surprise, fair prices and great food. Ate everything vegan. Like very much the flavor and all the dressing bar available. Nice decoration as well.
Cool modern take on great Mexican food. Crispy Chip n guacamole are home made. Taco r great. Right size n freshly Mexican style made like those mom n pop stands in homestead. Drink were big n very strong. Price were reason n they HaPpY hour specials. Only issue is a little that it is hard to see where to order from one side entrance bcuz big wall. Looking forward to going back
I organized my Birthday party for 40 of my friends there and everything was fantastic. The owner is a sweetheart and the staff truly cares! The food and drinks were delicious. A great new restaurant in Miami for sure.
The best tacos in Miami!! When you walk to the doors of 222 TACO you are greeted by one of their friend staff and you are asked to be choose your seating and someone will take care of you. Our waitress was super helpful and friendly. You can order a great variety of drinks from margaritas, tequilas, beer and more. Then you get to the main reason you come here... the food!! From the chips and guacamole, the nachos fries (nachos but fries instead of chips 🤤) to the delicious tacos. Wow the texture of the meat and the flavors of it, the perfect size and thickness of the tortilla make this place a paradise for taco lovers. I tried the Pastore, Carne Asada and Chorizo and will eat it again and again and again! Another great aspect it's the responsibility they are taking with the environment. They provide you with real forks and knives, plates and even the containers for the large variety of salsas are made of paper instead of plastic this is a fantastic point for me and I love to support business that are trying to change for the better of our planet. Once you finish all the food they offer a couple of deserts but if you can try the Frozen Mexican Hot Chocolate you won't regret it. To summarize 222 TACO won me over with its people, incredible food and way to run their business. Go enjoy a drink with tacos and you will leave with a smile on your face.
I mistakenly ordered only 1 taco when I meant to order 3 and I wasn't even sad about it. The meat was perfectly tender and the flavors we're delicious, Sam's I love that I can choose all my own toppings at the salsa bar. A side of the guacomole is a must as well. I'm really looking forward to trying the other tacos, the picture perfect carne asada fries and all the other options. Note: the store is broken up into 2 parts: ordering and seating/bar. The music can tend to be very loud so just order a margarita to enjoy it!
Great place! Margaritas are delicious! Food is tasty. Taco Tuesday!! Great specials! Reasonable prices. Nice place to hang out. Definitely coming again!
An incredible experience! The food is delicious. All of the vegan options I had were perfect - texture, flavor, presentation. The tostada was a favorite. The fish quesadilla I will definitely be back for. And so many more options that I didn’t get to try this time. The decor, music, and vibe are all relaxed and chill while being classy and well thought out. The staff is friendly, fun and helpful. Best tacos I’ve had in miami!
The staff was fully attentive to us the entire time. The food is truly phenomenal, especially if you're going with a big group the platter is the way to go! And all credit as well to Nicole for host the night for us
Wow, amazing!😜😍 In a city with so many taco joints, it’s nice to find something unique. Cali Burrito wirh chicken was to die for. Highly recommend. Great space and great service. Go!
I really like this place. Clean and waiters are great. Interesting modern decor. Food is great I had the Mahi Mahi tacos, even the avo guacamole was delicious. Priced perfectly. I will be back.
Great burritos, nachos, queso, guacamole, fresh salsa bar, etc. Friendly service and great food. Cool interior, too.
I've come here twice now for lunch, went for the burrito both times, along with chips and guac. Orders are taken at the front counter, opposite side of the restaurant from the bar. Place is rather large so it's hard to miss the other space. You either get a buzzer with your order or they bring it to you if it's not busy. Food came out shortly, but both times the restaurant wasn't too busy. Everything was great along with their pico de gallo. Chips were interesting, like a combination between pita and tortilla chips, delicious. Wish there was a taco and chip combo meal ( 2 tacos + chips). Burritos have a $1 option for chips and $2 (i think) for guac.
Great vibes and the best shrimp tacos ever. The DJ was outstanding. Love local spots that still focus on excellent service and delicious food. I would totally go back.
This is a brand new restaurant with very boho, hip vibes with loud music and fun ambience. I hear its from the same owner as coyo taco in wynwood. My favorite dish was the quesadilla al pastor definitely must try. I also appreciated that they had a bunch of Mexican drinks such as Mexican Coca-Cola, jarritas and excellent guac and chips.
222 TACO changed my life! My experience there you may ask ? Super awesome food and super cool atmosphere and a DJ spinning for happy hour! What more can you ask for than tacos and a DJ! Overall an amazing experience!
Casual dining, fresh food! We had a great time celebrating my daughter's birthday! Also, the owner sang happy birthday with us !
Such a fun and quirky restaurant. The boozy slushies were on point. The Mexican Pizza with carne asada was delicious and the Salsa bar is qhat makes this place the best!! Highly recommend going here.
It’s very dangerous that this place opened up so close to us! Delicious and reasonably priced. Drinks are awesome. I can finally bring my veggie friends to a place where they can get more than a salad or quesadilla. Husband and I are attempting to try everything on the menu. I think it’s time for another visit today 🤣🤣
I do love the food and drinks, their guacamole is anazing and chips seem home made. Their tacos are really really good, and their margaritas are really well balanced, betautiful. My only negative comment is that i went with a friend at 11am, i have been there a few times, and the music is nightclub loud! We told the lady 2x, and it wasn't lowered, it is very hard to enjoy a peaceful lunch and nice conversation when you have to yell. It is a shame because their tacos and food is truly delicious, but im hesitant to go back, uf you like loud music.....the best!
222Taco is worth the trip! They have great food and ambiance. The service was very good, as soon as we got in we were instructed on how to order and where to pick up are food. We ordered a margarita and it's served in very nice glasses and loved the fact that they use eco-straws. They had won me over already and then the food arrived... The Carnitas Fries were amazing and the tostadas and the tacos, everything was great! I can't wait to go back and try more items from their menu :)
Came to this place on Cinco de Mayo. The atmosphere was really cool, loved the simplistic yet retro feel, the prices were great, and the staff was very friendly. The music was a tiny bit too loud for my ears though, and I think the tacos were a bit too bare, but that’s probably my fault for not ordering them with more toppings, and I think the tacos we got were like mini, reduced price, Cinco de mayo tacos. Definitely coming back here. I highly suggest the paletas; we got three- arroz con leche, coconut, and cookies and cream, and WOW they were SO GOOD!!!!! The guac is also very yummy as are the mimosas.
Seriously one of this neighborhood's best kept secrets! The food... omg I took one bite of the cali burrito and started planning the next 6 trips I would make over here. So delicious!! (And filling too!!) The staff are all super friendly and treat you like they're welcoming you into their own home. Not just your server, but all servers look like they're genuinely happy to be at work, which to me, is a huge sign that they're doing something awesome... It's got that Wynwood meets FoodChannel meets Cheers local neighborhood vibe. Oof.. Did I mention their $2 taco and $5 margarita specials? Yeah.... Go, eat, get wasted, and thank me later!!
Decided to stop lunch at 222 Taco and what a good experience I had. Order tacos al pastor, the baja shrimps and the things the things de pollo plus a side of guacamole and cheese the portion was big enough for the three tacos ordered. Yes, the tacos are small but they are fresh and well season to add more flavor and spice there is a salsa bar w great variety of salsas and condiments to add. The draft Margarita is prepared w top ingredients and you have different kinds of rims from salty to spicy. I sat at the bar and a Antonio both bartender and server was excellent. In short some people may find it a bit pricey but as for me I always prefer fresh ingredients, festive atmosphere and service than to save a few dollars and leave unhappy. Place is great for groups or by oneself.
Food is good. The atmosphere of the restaurant matches is cool. And if you into spicy try their black habanero sauce. Its not really advertised but it is a great mix of hot and good flavor
222 Taco is a great place to get food. They recently just got rated the best taco place in their area. To add on, amazing food, not just tacos. I personally know the owner as well, and they make mostly everything, if not everything, homemade. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
this a nice place to have lunch at, the food is good, I really like the cali burrito, it has fries inside so I guess that explains it, lol. the vegetarian burrito is also good, I would also recommend the avocado toast. they have tacos in the lunch specials and the happy hour is very attractive
Amazing Californian and authentic Mexican food..you can find both flavors there...the concept os to die for! They have a entire concept of drinks with Margaritas... you can sip one after the other... cute venue in the entrance they have a little store with Mexican candy, tshirts and stuff like that... love the Mexican sharing table style but classy. They even have an outdoor sitting to chill... towards the night it's kinda like a night club with loud music and super chill people! A definetly MUST go place, added on my favorite to go list! BTW if you feel lazy they do uber eats so you can have the amazing tacos at the comfort of your bed and netflix!!
The food was AWESOME! Exemplary customer service. The music was really great. I loved it! We went on a Wednesday so the was no one in there but I had a great experience!
This is definitely a great place to eat. We ( me, my wife along with all of our kids and her sister who is a Resturant inspector) came here to eat. The food was awesome and the customer service exceeded our expectations. The manager Gina, was very pleasant and professional. She went above and beyond to make sure that me and my entire family enjoyed our experience. The restaurant was clean and properly staffed. The staff was polite and very tentative to the customers. The wait time was less than 10 min for our food and there was music and activities provided for the kids. Great job guys, keep up the good work. We will definitely revisit your restaurant and recommend it to all of our friends.
Really awesome food and they have happy hour drinks and tacos 3-7! Fresh tortillas and chips. Quality products coming out of that kitchen. Great service! Had a minor issue with some missing extra mods but the manager and server were very nice and adjusted it accordingly. Would love to go back anytime I visit North Beach. Absolutely recommend, definitely trying the drinks next time as well
Met some friends to support local business for tacos / drinks and ole school tunes. Great atmosphere - delicious shrimp and fish ( grilled ) tacos. They have their in-house fresh salsa bar ( toppings) just to top off the Already delicious flavor. The music is Awesome... I found myself bobbing my head and snapping my fingers as I enjoyed my food. Great spot - I will be back !!
Totally awesome place; great atmosphere, delicious food, very reasonable prices, and excellent service. I had been trying to visit this place and when I finally did, I was sad to know that, on that night, they did not have steak (I love steak tacos); however, our server, Fiodilona, recommended me the Fried Shrimp Tacos so I did. Best suggestion ever and I do deeply recommend to try this super delicious taco. I did also tried the Fish taco, definitely, very good, too. In addition, it is worth to try the Draft Margarita. 222 Tacos is a must-to-visit place
The corn was delicious! The tacos were amazing as were the steak fries (Cali style). It is very hipster but the food is up to par. They have a little condiment bar where you can top off your tacos. I loved it and would love to go back.
Excellent food, awesome drinks, and a relaxing atmosphere. Everything I ordered was new to me and it was great. The waiter even offered changes in my meal and drink to be sure I had an enjoyable experience. I will definitely be back here soon.
The food was really good. The carne taco was so good. I got the classic burrito which was good too. My bf got the Cali Burrito with the fries in it. He normally doesn't eat burritos but he did get attracted to the Cali since its avocado, beef, cheese, and fries in it. It hit the spot. Thank you
Love this place. Great Tacos, the elote is bomb. Drinks are good, there is a small cute bar in the corner and the restaurant has a lot of seating space. There is outside seating space. Great spot to stop after biking to and from the beach!
Went here on a whim with a friend after a long week of class. The tacos were great and they did not mind having my dog outside on the porch. Service was fast and the employees were very friendly. I’ll absolutely be back. Taco Tuesday deals are worth it by themselves
Really great local addition. Extensive menu of Mexican food ranging from traditional to modern. The food was excellent, and portions were just right. The staff is very friendly. Service was great. There's a bar and outside seating. Plenty of parking.
Found this place while driving by, the neon sign caught my eye and I had to stop in. Great little tacos, fun atmosphere too. Family friendly as well as having a cool bar scene. I ordered some 2.22$ tacos and played connect 4 at the table. It was delicious and i enjoyed the many sauces and toppings available. Loved it so much I bought a shirt.
Good food, really good quesadillas but unfortunately not served with enough sour cream and guacamole. Have to pay for extra. It kind of ruins the experience. Tacos very expensive for a small tortilla and a piece of chicken.
Good atmosphere, really good food, and plenty of parking. The menu can be a bit confusing to get what's what, but the items I've tried so far have all been delicious. Really happy to have this place in North Bay Village.
Expensive for the area. Food is great. There was a "service charge" and the a calculated tip? Not sure what the service charge is for when I have to add my own toppings to the taco at the bar. I actually prefer to do that but think the pricing is high. Tacos are spicy and yummy. Edit* No more service charge!
I like this place for the space, the quiet (writing from a lunch experience), and the condiment bar. The food was pretty good, too. My favorites were the elote and baja fish taco. However, for $17+tip for corn, two tacos and a bottle of water, I think I would only come back for a special group occasion. It’s definitely worth checking out, though.
Guacamole is great. The atmosphere is a very chill vibe. If you can get over the lack lusted cashier's guy. You will have a great time. Gabby is great covering the floor.
Good quality tacos. Perhaps one of the coolest places in Treasure Island or Normandy Island. Parking is never an issue and the wait is usually not long. I wish the attention of the staff would be better; especially when coming in larger groups.
Service can sometimes be inconsistent, on this particular day, service was pretty good. Food was delicious, the Cali Burrito is usually my go to but you should always pay extra for more meat. If not, it's mostly fries. Chips were amazing and overall, I'm usually satisfied with them. There is room for improvement but a decent taco shop with good food.
Food is excellent but the music is too loud so it’s difficult to talk. They have a salsa bar that is amazing and compliments any menu item. The Margarita bar is good but the menu can definitely be expanded upon- I believe they only have 6 cocktail options currently. I’m sure once they get the kinks worked out, this place will be wonderful and a great addition to the area!
Our family enjoyed our early Sunday meal. We tasted steak tacos, Caesar salad with chicken, chicken quesadillas and the chilaquiles. Also had beer and the strawberry margarita. I agree with other reviews that portions are very small and that the drink menu is a bit limited. One of the things that struck me as a bit odd was the bartender reading the recipe to prepare my drink especially with an $11 price tag. The result was good it was just weird to see. The place is bright, spacious and very nicely decorated. My daughter loved the little tent they have. Service was good, kitchen was slow but we didn't mind the wait because we weren't in a rush. Worth a try!
Food taste is fantastic. Best corn on the cob in Miami. The restaurant layout is very strange, one of the un-coziest places around. Feels cold and spread out, and the lighting is abysmal and flat. Needs to be lower and use spotlights for ambiance! I would definitely go back for the food though.
The atmosphere was great. Loved the music and choices of food. Breakfast taco was not hot though like it was sitting on the waiter. Presentation was great. Wouldn’t sell the pop sickles be cause it was in violation with he health code.
Solid tacos for a great price during taco Tuesday. The salsa bar had some tasty salsas, and the margaritas were good. The elotes weren't very impressive and the nachos were hardly worth the price even during happy hour. If you're looking for authentic, this isnt for you (try just down the road at canta y no llores). Otherwise the portions were large and tasted good. Some of the staff seemed pretty dazed and confused and I noticed a lot of orders being messed up around us even with simple dishes and a fairly slow night.
Well the owner heard the complaints and I am happy to say we finally had a decent potion of steak in our nachos. Chips are very tasty, crispy and delicious. I had the chicken tostada today and went to salsa bar. I only recommend that the staff let patrons know there is a salsa bar as I have gone there 2 times and on the 3rd did I even notice salsa bar. Staff is awesome, very friendly. How about a 2 for 1 margarita night? You already have taco night so it's only an idea to draw new customers and locals. The food is a bit pricey but a customer can see past that with good portion foods and that fantastic staff you have. The ambiance is great to hang out and enjoy your friends or loved ones. Welcome to the neighborhood.
Muy buena comida mexicana. Jarritos, tacos guacamole etc
Great tacos. Service needs some work. A bit slow and the speed needs to get better if they want more business. Tacos were great. Tacos could also have topping suggestions on the menu. Loved the hibiscus salt on the Margaritas
We visited 222 Taco around 3pm when it was pretty empty. The space is very well decorated and has a cool vibe, very "Instagramable" if you will. The server was very friendly and welcoming. After ordering we noticed that people that sat after us were being served their food before us. After about 15 minutes, the manager came out and told as that our order was never processed and that the kitchen would get started on our food. She apologized and handled the situation well by bringing us complementary chips and guac and even offered us each a margarita on the house but we politely declined the drinks. Mistakes happen and the manager made it right, so kudos to them. Overall, the food was hit or miss. Hits: the al pastor nachos were delicious and the elote was quite tasty. Misses: the chorizo and potato taco had a really nice flavor but was a bit too salty, the fried shrimp taco looked amazing but was bland, the carne asada tostado was pretty average and came out cold. The salsa bar was really great with lots of tasty options, so that was nice. Overall, the food was inconsistent and a bit bland, which was surprising because I expected more layers of flavor based on the appearance of most dishes. Salsa bar was great. The service issue was handled perfectly by the manager, which is uncommon these days. I was debating between 3 and 4 stars but I think 3 stars is fair given the overall experience. Hopefully they had an off day and if I return again I will be sure to update my review accordingly.
Below average service, and food to match it. Pictures do more justice then real life. That being said, the salsa verde was very good. Not sure if they make it, or buy it.
I lived in San Diego for 5 years. I was only 2 minutes from the border of Tijuana. Ever since I moved back to South Florida I've been craving traditional Mexican tacos and burritos. There are a few places in Florida that have caught on to the taco recipe, but nobody does burritos well except for 222 Taco. I couldn't believe it when I saw a real California Burrito on the menu. I got it, I loved it, it brought back nostalgic memories. Unfortunately the prices are a little out of control. I paid $23 for a burrito, a coke, and fries. That would have been $8 in California and there would have been way more meat, and the burrito would have been bigger. That and the staff isn't the friendliest. It's a young trendy place with a full service bar, but a smile wouldn't hurt business, I don't think. I'll be back for the burrito. But I'll probably get it to go.
Food took forever to come out, and the tacos are tiny. Which is not a problem except that they are $4 each. The buritto and tortas are better value. Food itself was ok. The frozen margarita is ridiculously expensive too - $11 for what is maybe 2oz of liquid.
Tacos are small, seating is the worst. They have giant booth seats with a table that is as high as your knee caps. You have to either hunch over to eat or eat with a tray in your lap. We went there on a night they had a DJ. The music was way too loud.. I couldn't even hear the person sitting across from me.
Mehhh.. the environment was very cool..nice music loved it... service was good and food came out quick... but ummmm the food.... yeah ... no... bad the Guacamole and chips was horrible the guacamole was salt less and seasonless the chips very hard. My taco was a 4 out of 10. Honestly this is the second time I come and I told myself that I would give it another chance. Let me down again.
The food is best I've ever had. Service is slow and the server doesn't seem to realize it. There was a problem with my order but it couldn't be rectified because the server never checked on us. The music was ear piercing. It was so loud I couldn't have a conversation with my wife.
Well. Food is ok., Usual and nothing wow about it. But if you order a drink its very expensive. 5 people 10 shots of tequila 108 dollars. Not sure why is it so expensive. Probably not going to go there again. Maybe only to get a taco. Thats about it. Please is ok for Mexican restaurant but overpriced.
This is awesome, except for the fact that the bartender (I won't say her name) complained over a 19% tip. And when I offered to give her more money that would of equaled to over 20% she freaked out again. And even more messed up, the manager took her side and said they were going to include gratuity for just that reason. The food is over priced, and the tortillas are small. Go to Eatside Taqueria or Vatito Taco, or Taquiza. Way better tacos..
Found! Great Mexican spot in North Bay Village. Menu is simple and very fresh. They have a condiment bar so that you can dress the food as you like with hot sauce, salsa, lettuce, peppers, and more. They also have a nice casual bar with some creative drinks. Perfect spot for a group of friends to drink the day away. For more great review of the new & authentic visit TheLoupe!
The food was decent but didnt live up to the price tag or then hype, unfortunately. The atmosphere is cool but can get a bit loud. Hint: the booths along the wall arent the most comfortable for dining and are a bit far apart making it difficult to have a conversation, so choose a table for the best dining experience.
quesadillas are good. Taco salad was below average, wouldn't order it again. Fries were good, was bit disappointed that they didn't have mustard or ketchup with all the many different combinations of salsa. Place is nice, a bit too loud and echoey. Service was good. A bit on the pricey side, but I will probably go there again.
So much potential in this place! It seems some menu items are prepared differently depending on the chef. As a diner trying to manage HBP that’s something that is a little unnerving and has slowed me down from eating there. And also they use to have the loveliest female bartenders!? Where did they go?! But still a fun place. Go on Tuesday.
Is this not the saddest pulpo taco that you have ever seen? This was the second time that I have visited 222 Taco and it was too too too disappointing. The staff are fine and the atmosphere is nice but they took over 35 minutes for an order of 4 (tiny) tacos and a burrito... there were literally 6 other people in the restaurant so they were not busy. The taste of the food was fine but there are other places that you can go to that has better service and better food. Not worth the price or hassle.
Honestly this is a joke. A carne asada taco it’s just carne asada and the tortilla? Not even the onion and cilantro that the original ones are supposed to have AND I paid extra $2 per taco for guacamole but they didn’t even put it on. This place is trying to make the money out of the sides, the food is very basic for the price. I rather have bodega tacos. This place shouldn’t call itself Mexican. Update: The manager was supposed to call me an hour ago but she hasn’t because she is in a “meeting” on a Friday night... great service.
Contrary to some of the positive reviews here is a negative one. Went recently in a Sunday. Atmosphere great, fun vibe, good salsa selection, friendly staff. The negative cold stale tortillas cold stale chips. Tiny portions, dry meat, tiny amounts of bland sauce. Such a disappointment. Save yourself the trouble and just go down the street to Tequiza.
Very tasty, if you go in the evening they have waiter service. I don't like how tip was included (which is fine) and then when you pay on the iPad Esq device they have it go to ANOTHER tip screen when you go to pay. I bet numerous people are tricked into double tipping. Don't like that at all. The server didn't mention anything, thankfully my friend I was with new the deal.
All of these taco places around Miami are all the same. Nothing makes them stick out one from the other. The food is not real Mexican food. I think all these Cubans are trying to do Mexican food and just cant... if you want some good food for the same price range and better atmosphere and better taste then just go to Tijuana Flats. If you want REAL Mexican food then try Paquitos. I'd skip this place and anything like it.... which is all of them.
The food might only be good drunk. I tried the carna asada, pork, and chicken. Carne asada is best. Their nachos they use Velveeta which I don't like but their carne asada is good along with their fries. Their burrito looked good but I didn't have it. Their prices are good for their portions. If i were dragged back i would get their carne asada burrito. The "salad bar" is necessary so it doesn't taste dry. Their drinks r good and great price.
Im not sure if it was the time of day or what but the atmosphere at 222 taco was dreary and gloom. There was only 2 other people eating while I was there. The seating at 222 taco was awkward and needs to change. This is a self service restaurant which I had no idea. I had the Carne Asada Fries, a Fish taco and the Cali Burrito. The Fries were average at best. The Fish Taco was not good. I did enjoy the Cali Burrito. It was very Flavorful and would order it again if I ever had to go back.
Overpriced for what you get. 12 dollars for a very small vegetarian quesadilla. Everything is self service which is cool but I think the quality of the food could be much better. Tacos are tiny and the tortillas weren’t even warm. Variety of toppings at topping bar is cool. We went here because of a an amazing review in the Herald and left disappointed and still hungry. Staff was nice though and the vibe is cute. Improvement needed
Half of the 5 star reviews are FAKE! All the 1 star reviews and 2 star reviews all state the same horrible experience . Bad service ! So that should tell you something. Went here on 2 different occasions both bad experiences. Won’t ever come back. 1st experience: sat at counter for a good 5 minutes without being acknowledged guy at register just kept walking right past me. As soon as a white lady walked up to the register he runs over to help her as if I hadn’t been standing there the whole time. Not only that my food was cold and the ingredients I ordered missing. 2nd experience: same cashier as first time and food missing from my order and I was the only person there. This is not even a real taco spot I asked for a traditional taco they told me do I want steak or barbecue. What a JOKE
Came on a Sat night. Greeted by bartender who was very friendly. But the wait for our server to even greet us and take our order or bring us water was way too long. Then the wait for our drinks to be made was even longer. Would've let it slide if the drinks were good but they were very underwhelming. I didn't even finish it. And 18% Gratuity added automatically wasnt a great find. Decided not to even order food because of the thought of how long it would take. Only giving two stars instead of one because of the possibility that We may have just come on a bad night. But I won't be returning.
I was very disappointed with this restaurant. The menu is overpriced and quality sucks. They automatically charge you a 18% gratuity when is a self-service place. I order chicken taco and they gave me shredded chicken instead. I will not be returning to this restaurant. The only reason why I give a one star was because of the music.
Unable to describe how disorganized the whole place is. First the staff doesn’t greet people coming in. We sat down and waited over half an hour.... NO ONE CAME to our table. When I asked for the menus... they were limited and gave me 3 and we were a party of five. We kept waiting.... everyone else had food served.... we kept waiting... we didn’t even get a smile. This place simply SUCKS!
The food at this place is not worth the price being paid. I paid almost $5 for a taco so small that it wouldn't even fill up a two year old's stomach. The meat quality was not good at all. There was a lack of seasoning and the self serve area for extras was terrible. And there was no cheese at all. I'm not sure how I can enjoy a taco smaller than my hand that has no flavor. I strongly recommend NOT going to here to eat out. It is not worth the money you'll spend nor is it a good experience.
Worst Experience. Fried Baha Fish Tacos are no longer served here - the staple dish to any Mexican food. Service was horrible. The waiter did the complete minimum by taking our order and serving us food - we had to get our own utensils, napkins and water. Forced 18% gratuity on a party of 2. Seriously? Took 60 minutes to give us tacos we didn't even want. Sorry guys I won't be coming back.
Good luck! It's beyond me how a taco place can make you sad but this one did. The day me and my daughter went they didn't have any of the ingredients to make our food. Everything we asked for was either out or would take 45min to bake, I'm sorry but it's the restaurants job not to run out of food for a place that sells food. Poor management. Needless to say, we didn't have a good experience and will not be returning.
I live on the island and used to LOVE coming to 222 but recently they made a switch to having servers and it ruined everything. I don't know who thought this was a good idea but it doesn't make any sense for an establishment like this to have table service. I can't remember the last time I walked out of a restaurant due to bad service but after 20 minutes of waiting just to get a water and then another 20 without even having my actual order taken I got up and left. I really hope they go back to how it was before because the food is good. I have tried to reach out to management via phone, email and Instagram, not just in regards to my recent experience but to ask other questions and no one has ever gotten back to me. I'm not sure who is running this place now but I hope they see this and start to make some changes because it really is a shame.
I've read some mixed reviews and I wanted to see for myself as there aren't many Mexican options in NBV. Unfortunately, it was the biggest culinary disappointment I've ever experience in a restaurant in Miami. It was a Sunday brunch and it took them 70 minutes to cook an inedible "Huevos Rancheros" and some Chilaquiles. The chicken was bland and undercooked and it virtually had no seasoning. I understand new restaurants need time to adjust and be open to complaints to improve. But I hardly think this will be the case as I expressed my frustration there saying that it was truly insulting to wait over an hour for such a mediocre plate. They didn't care and seem to take comfort on disappointed customers. No stars on food. No stars on customer service.
Tacos were appling. Service wa slow even with no one in the restaurant. I ordered 3 tacos ( 2 chicken 1 beef). The tacos themselves were severely lacking with not toppings and under seasoned beef and chicken not to mention over cooked. The tacos left much to be desired with no exceptional flavor, no sauce and nothing that would make me return here.
