Bongo's Cuban Cafe offers a convenient taste of Cuban cuisine within Miami's airport. Many praise the Cuban sandwich and flavorful pulled pork. However, some customers report high prices, slow or rude service, and inconsistent food quality, especially regarding freshness.

Tip: Bongo's is a convenient option for a quick Cuban meal while waiting for a flight in terminals H+J. Be aware that prices are higher than average due to the airport location.

Miami airport between gates J and H. Nice place to have a good hot sandwich (several options) and a drink. The place is a good break for the airport atmosphere, where actually the restaurant/bar is a round counter.
We had the Cuban sandwich and beef empanadas. Both were very good. The sandwich was large enough for us to share. My Bloody Mary was really good, too!

Airport food court style but still brought my meal to me where I was sitting even though I didn't sit at the counter. Pulled pork had amazing flavor!
Love it, quick and friendly. Didnt miss my fight and the person doing my drink didnt take long. I swear he was the machine loved him.
I recently dined at Bongo Cuban Restaurant in Miami, and I must say, it was an incredible experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff greeted me warmly and made me feel right at home. Their exceptional service truly elevated the dining experience. The food was outstanding, with each dish bursting with authentic Cuban flavors. From the savory Ropa Vieja to the perfectly seasoned Tostones, every bite was a delight. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed meal with friends or family. I highly recommend Bongo Cuban Restaurant to anyone craving delicious Cuban cuisine served with a side of amazing hospitality. Had such a wonderful experience here before my flight! Definitely the best place to dine in terminals H+J. Food and drinks were both delicious
Listen.... Rice, beans, chicken, plaintain... It was perfect! The beans had the onion garlic flavor with a bit of the gravy to it so that you can pour them over the rice. Tasty grilled chicken breast with a delicious pan-fried onion on top! Service was friendly and fast. Atmosphere with nice music kept me there for almost an hour! Definitely on my list for my next trip to Miami airport.
Great location for a nice lunch with live music and great food. Service was excellent and the spicy margarita left me wanting the recipe.

All airport food is over priced stop complaining. It's good food! The Sandwich Cubano is huge and delicious. The plantain chips are ok but they come with a great 'salsa'. Our waitress was really nice!
normally i don’t give my opinion for restaurants on airports. but here i have to do it. yes of course, the price is high ... logical its on an airport. the last view years, when we have to go home from miami, we are always here. the cuban sandwich is one of the best! Alexander is a great barkeeper. He always works alone .... so it can take some time you get your service (this us why i reduce 1 star ... ok and also litte bit the price). all the cocktails from him are amazing! form its really an exception for an airport.
Very nice mojito. Fresh and delicious. The Cuban sandwich was good but not great. The bartender was outstanding. The drinks are a little pricey but not a surprise at the airport

Expensive place. Most of the staffs focus was in the VIP area. A beer for 10$ and a bittle vodka for about 150$. Live band who plays music was realy nice.

I read about this place in New York Times and when I realized that I would have a long layover in Miami, I made it my mission to come here. Owned by Gloria Estefan, this place offers an authentic Cuban sandwich. I think at one point I licked my fingers!

Visited at 11:30 in the morning with the place just opening. Ordered "Pan con Bistec" steak sandwich but the steak was not fresh. It was tough and dry and seemed reheated. Big disappointment.

An embarrassment to the Cuban community. Every Cuban restaurant should be able to make a decent Cuban. This was a joke. Nothing fresh, super small portion of meat lost in the bread. I feel violated
The most expensive (airport) beers I ever payed. 18% service charge was already added, otherwise the staff couldn't make any money I suppose.
Worst service I’ve had in the US and thats an accomplishment! Too bad they took the 18% tip already because I would’ve left much less.
The Bongo’s attendant was talking to another employee, and listening to the loud music. Not paying attention to the customers and extremely rude. The counter area was dirty and she cleaned when we asked to seat there. She was disrespectful and calling a customer rude. She said she was from Nicaragua.
The tiny, skinny steak was microwaved, I think, and partly cold. The rice was cold, too. Most definitely not worth $17. The host at the bar kept asking personal questions to the point where I had to move to one of the tables.
Had a bad experience at this place. The bartender (older guy) asks us if we want to order something, I ordered a DietCoke my brother a beer (beer for 8-9 USD! WHAT???). He asked us, if there is "anything more ? Nothing to eat?" He told us this place is a private owned business and if we would like to sit at the bar we had to order something to eat. As I asked do I still get my DietCoke he pointed to different businesses around this place. He was unfriendly from the beginning! Hope he only had a bad day, but still I am not going to this place anymore. sorry botched...
