The restaurant is exceptionally well located, less than a block from the beach and just steps away from Ocean Drive. The food has an excellent, naturally fresh flavor that really stands out. The croissants are beautifully baked—light yet sturdy—and the empanadas have that comforting, homemade taste that feels like something prepared with real care. The coffee is also excellent, with a rich flavor and an Italian-style touch that’s freshly made to order. The atmosphere is relaxed, the service is friendly, and overall it’s a great spot to enjoy a meal close to the ocean. I especially want to thank Vicky, who took care of us during our visit. She was exceptionally kind, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome throughout the entire experience. Highly recommended.
A Beautiful little Caffe on Ocean drive. Definitely check reviews before you shop or buy any food. This place came up near our hotel and we loved it. Cute, dante place, great service too. Most definitely recommend for a breakfast spot to start your day. Thank you for the Dante Cafe experience. 💫
Great little coffee shop. They are open early for coffee when others are closed
Very kind and welcoming. I love the matcha iced latte and the chocolate croissant. Everything was so delicious. This is one of my favorite cafes so far that I’ve visited in Miami. I would come back again for my next vacation trip :).
Great coffee Cappuccino was delicious. Lavender flavor and oat milk tastes good in the coffee. Bakery items are fresh Outdoor dining area available
Buttery and perfect croissants; expertly made coffee drinks and custom smoothies; excellent variety on the menu; superb and friendly customer service; absolutely delicious açai bowl- if you love a good one, this is a MUST! There is outside seating as well as one inside. Clean, fresh and cool decor and space. Carefully curated drinks available in the cooler near the front. I'm sad I didn't get to try their freshly squeezed Juices!
Good service and best coffee we have had for last 16 days. Overall very nice and cozy
I ordered an iced latte, and it was really good, smooth and refreshing, just what I needed. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for a quick break. The only thing that could improve is the service; the server could’ve been a bit friendlier, but overall, it was a nice experience. Would definitely come back for the coffee!
An affordable avocado toast that BLEW ME AWAY. It was simple, there were no bells or whistles, but the bread was absolutely amazing. Really nice crunch, really nice flake, really nice softness too. Avocados were delicious and topped with some nice oil too. For $7 it’s hard to do this good in Miami Beach. Açaí bowl was aight, I’d recommend the toast more.
The matcha is reallyyyyy good!!, its literally my favorite now😊
The Italian cafe is a hidden gem in plain sight. It’s at the corner of Ocean Dr. and 8th St. It’s a tiny little place with indoor seating for about 7-8 people (one table and a long counter) and some outdoor seating (weather permitting). They have a good selection of baked items, a reasonable selection of other breakfast items, smoothies and shakes, some sandwiches, pastas and salads and a large selection of coffees and other beverages. I had a delicious panini and asked for a glass of iced water. The water came in real glass — a rarity among such restaurants. The bread was fresh and crusty and the meat was delicious. The greens were fresh and delicious too. To top it off, they were playing a Bob Marley album when I visited. The service is friendly and efficient. Come here for a quick and delicious breakfast that is very reasonably priced or for a healthy lunch. You won’t be dissapointed. Although, I don’t guarantee that Bob Marley will be playing when you’re here.
Every day we enjoyed having breakfast at Il Dante Caffe day in Miami. The croissants were great and taste just like us in Holland. The Argentinian (iced) coffee is also delicious to take. The staff is super sociable and we had nice conversations with the owner. They also gave us great tips to visit nearby. I took breakfast number 2 every day. Really highly recommended!
Stumbled across this place looking for a quick coffee stop but ended up staying and getting a few pastries and bruschetta! Very clean and welcoming place. Delicious espressos and cappuccinos as well as very well cooked croissant!! Favorite spot on the South Beach Ocean Dr. Strip!
Everyone in this cafe is super nice! The staff is super attentive and very fun to talk to. I've never seen a cafe that friendly in Miami beach before. It's so close to the beach that it's very convenient. Highly recommend going there when you're in Miami beach.
Quick service - delicious coffee - both employees working hard. Thick slices of mozzarella on our paninis - would come back for sure.
Fantastic food and service! Unbelievably delicious tuna salad and the espresso macchiatos were served up with perfection. Finally, a true foam. This gem of a cafe with a large menu of options is run by a passionate staff and the ingredients and presentation are top notch. We'll be back today!
The best italian coffee that we could experience on the eastern coast of the US. The staff was very kind and you have a great view on the beach promenade. The interior is fancy and lovely. Too bad that it closes at 2PM already.
I had the best experience at this locally owned Italian Cafe!!! Sebastian the owner is very warm and welcoming!!! He made me feel as if I were at home!!!! The whole staff was just like that; Warm kind and super courteous!!! The cake I got was amazing as well!!! Will be back!!°
Recently stayed in the area with friends. This place has excellent coffee, service, and food. We had the capuccino, one of the salads, and the ham and cheese croissant. Everything was really good and the staff was awesome!
Love this place! So many options and they’re all customizable. We ordered a Top 6 panini with brie, a chocolate croissant, an iced coffee, and a latte. The space is very pretty and the man behind the counter, who I assumed was the owner, was very kind. Apparently this place is on the newer side, but they functioned so well that I wouldn’t have guessed!
I absolutely love this family owned cafe. The food is amazing and everyone is so friendly. Every time I’m in Miami I make sure I stop by to get their top 8 panini! My favorite!
One word: incredible! The gentleman who took our order was so friendly and nice- I looked forward to coming to say hi the 2nd day. To top it off, the fresh chocolate croissant was amazing. Don’t hesitate to stop by!
The best coffee in Miami Beach, they do not burn it and prepare it to perfection, European style. The girl who works there looks like Julieta Venegas and the owner looks like Santiago López AKA Bogota. I really recommend this place, even if it is packed, just queue and wait to be served with the best coffee experience. We had so many bad coffees that this was the salvation from the atheist heavens. Empanadas were also Dope.
This place opened just 4 days ago but it has already become my fav on Ocean Drive! The food is freshly made to order, inexpensive (comparing with all places around) and simply delicious. They have variety of pastries, salads, sandwiches... My fav are Spanish omelet and cream cheese pastry with guava. This is family owned business and that's why there is a special atmosphere that I like!
Great coffee and food! We came here for breakfast the whole three days we were in Miami. The food and staff were so amazing we didn't bother trying a new breakfast place. Again amazing staff!!
This is by far the best cafe in South Beach. I lived in France for two years and I never had a croissant and espresso better than the ones I get here. The Argentine fare is superb 👌
What happens when you combine a small staff of caring professionals, fabulous Italian ingredients and recipes and offer clients delicious espresso and panini products and service at excellent value-to-price? The answer is IL Dante Caffe in South Beach. After the 1st day trying it, I went back every day. DELIZIOSO!
I come here every single time I’m in Miami. Ive traveled the world and this is my favorite spot for a quick espresso and pastry. I often book a hotel nearby so I can come every morning before the croissants run out. But even if they do, the empanadas are a phenomenon. This is a can’t miss spot for foodies and bon-vivants and folks with discerning taste.
A hidden gem tucked away on Ocean Drive. Service is quick, coffee is great and their paninis are amazing. Even though there’s no shortage of choices in this area, I still came back a few times!
Il Dante Caffe is part of my daily routine now. It's an amazing place to go to relax for a few minutes and to enjoy the best coffee, croissants, breads, and panini sandwiches anywhere! It's also one block off of the beach on 8th and Ocean Drive so the location couldn't be better if you're in South Beach. Definitely check this place out - Irmina and the rest of the team there will welcome you, as always, with their warm smiles and kindness. 😊
This cute little cafe by South Beach has very good coffee- they are rich and not watery. Also service is exceptional- we spilt our coffee by mistake and they immediately offered a new one. Highly recommend to visit this place if you are looking for a good coffee with a nice ambience by the beach!
I'm telling you this is the best coffee in south beach
Great coffe Shop. Best croisant in Sobe, nice atmosphere. Excellent!
The empanadas and complimentary orange juice were absolutely delicious! However, what truly stood out to me was the impeccable service. Matias went above and beyond, impressing me with his thoughtfulness—even asking if I preferred my empanadas warmed in the oven or the microwave. Such attention to detail is rare and deeply appreciated! While I enjoyed my meal, I noticed Jennifer, his colleague, skillfully preparing beautiful cappuccinos for other customers. They both kept the space immaculate, chatting cheerfully as they cleaned and washed dishes, creating a welcoming and lively atmosphere. As I was about to leave, a gentleman entered the café inquiring about employment opportunities. Although they weren’t hiring, Matias kindly took the time to provide helpful information, showing genuine care and respect. The owner should be incredibly proud of having such well-educated, kind-hearted, and exceptional employees. Thank you, Matias and Jennifer—you both have a bright future ahead in this country. Your warmth and professionalism made my visit unforgettable!
I'm sure glad I stopped in for a coffee. The vibe is low key. The staff is engaging and kind. Coffee is on point. The two girls working the coffee and the gentleman cooking were very nice. You could tell they were happy to be there which is not always the case along the strip here.
I came across this cafe our first morning here in Miami and I am soooo glad we did! The vibe, first of all was great, all the staff was so nice and professional. The espresso was like music to my soul and the food was excellent. We spent every morning eating breakfast here- it was decently priced for south beach. All round great experience, 10 stars!!!
Nice overall modern vibe with good coffee, but the thing that won us over was the prosciutto, mozzarella, tomato, pesto panini (#1 on menu). We were surprised to see it had thick slices of prosciutto and thought it might be too much but it turned out to be just right. The bread was both crunchy and soft. Will definitely come back again the next time we’re in Miami.
Wonderful staff, really good solid food. This will be on my go to list every time we’re here. We got an espresso, oat milk iced coffee, ham and cheese croissant, and breakfast platter with fresh squeezed OJ, 2 eggs and toast. Everything was delicious and was just under $40! Highly recommend.
Very good cold brew coffee made in-house! And they give it to me without ice as requested.
Such a great atmosphere and lovely staff. I loved the panini and fresh squeezed juice. The ginger shot I had was so strong that I felt it cleansed me from all sins lol I will definitely be coming back. Also, I loved their ghost pepper salsa that they have. Delicious!!!
Very nice people. Highly recommend the iced vanilla matcha and ice vanilla latte. As well as their chicken empanadas!
Wow, glad I came for coffee. I read the reviews and people stated the cappuccino was really good. They were right! Thank you to all of you that take the moment to write reviews for us to get a head start or preview of a place we want to visit. Did not dissapoint.Cozy small space and great coffee! I will definitely be going back. Mindful this is close to Ocean Dr.so parking can be hard to find. For locals, it’s easy peasy on 7th st to walk to or skate to. Enjoy!
Excellent coffee and service. And the prices were reasonable given it's south beach and everything is $$$.
Great spot!! Fabulous coffee and great local super clean and friendly service!!!
Had a beautiful brunch experience at Il Dante Caffe. Matias and Jennifer were both really attentive and charismatic, we felt at home, their service was top-notch! The food was excellent, freshly made and served within less than 2 minutes of ordering, it had a distinct homemade flavor that I had yet to find in Miami Beach. Definitely pay them a visit if you’re looking for a great breakfast spot near the beach.
A must stop coffee shop. The staff is friendly and the coffee is top notch.
What a gem! We popped in here to see if they had anything I could eat and they had one of the best gluten free breakfasts I’ve had in a long time. I had a gf avo toast with eggs and delicious seasoning. The owner and staff were so lovely as well. And the fresh squeezed OJ was so good. I highly recommend : )
We went here every day for espressos and every time was perfection. We also tried several other spots and this is the best in south beach for service and espresso. I’d say it’s a critical stop for anyone who appreciates coffee in any form, it made the whole trip next level even considering everything else south beach offers. I miss it so much 😭☕️
Our favourite spot for breakfast in south beach. Good Italian coffee and croissants, fresh natural smoothies. Very friendly staff, thanks to Javier and your 2 colleagues. Micaela & Matteo
My boyfriend and I stumbled across Il Dante Caffè during our daily walks, and it quickly became our favorite coffee spot in Miami. The baristas are always so kind, the service is great, and the espresso is top tier. Thanks for always taking care of us — see you guys soon!
Great coffee with adorable latte art, a bright and clean interior, and a fun European café vibe. It was busy when we arrived, so the wait was a bit long and the barista seemed overwhelmed, but it wasn’t a deal breaker. Minimal seating, but overall a nice spot.
The first day, I forgot my money and the gentleman let me go without paying. Every morning after, the welcome was amazing, the croissants and double expresso were delicious, and for my last coffee, he even offered it, saying ‘Have a safe trip back.’ Incredible hospitality!
Clean, calm and delicious coffee shop just off the strip. Spinach empanada and iced latte were so good! Came back multiple times during our stay in South Beach.
This was a yummy experience! I got a chocolate croissant and it was maybe the best thing I'd ever eaten. The place itself was also very nice and pleasant. This is great for a snack or breakfast, and also has really good latte art! I would definitely recommend this place for croissant and coffee art lovers!!
Excelente cafe y facturitas dulces.
Ordered a decaf latte and the apple Danish. The pastries are good and decibel made fresh. And the coffee was good too just both way overpriced. The latte i got way more milk than coffee compared to others that i get. I couldnt even taste the coffee. The oat milk they have is a good one though. They have protein smoothies and other things that look good here but the price is crazy. $7 for a small (what they call large 12oz) and $6 for a pastry. The place is also quite small with limited seating.
This place was right off ocean drive. Croissants were authentic Italian style, not French. We ordered a latte on ice and it was so weak. Would have been better if it was stronger. Disappointing as Italian coffee shops are usually so good for coffee. We also ordered a fruit smoothie and it was fresh and delicious. Service was good.
The coffee was alright but not the best we've ever had. The atmosphere was casual and fun- a lot of choices for food and beverages and affordable prices. Overall, the staff were short with us and rushed because of the volume of people there at the time; we waited awhile to take out. The location is excellent and perfect for walking along Ocean drive. Easy access to a lot of hotels and the beach.
I’ve been here a few times over the years. Every time the drinks are amazing. ( definitely the best matcha latte✅ in town ) The interior is updated and clean. Staff is good.
Had an iced coffee and a croissant and both were pretty tasty. I would just say that the place and service needs a little fine tuning. The high top table and chair were dirty with crumbs, the place looked a little disheveled maybe need some organizing and cleaning, there were little speakers for the music by my feet and I kept unwillingly kicking them. There was a man sitting next to me on the high top watching soccer or some sport on his phone and he kept the volume really loud, a little annoying. It looked like he worked there. I told the girl at the register the coffee and croissant were for here and they gave me my croissant in a paper bag to go instead of on a plate. The location is great by Ocean Drive. Will try again.
Executed a decent flat white. Sometimes slow. But we had friendly service.
Me and my friends was in Miami Beach, and we stopped by in this place, and we had a great experience. The whole street tried to stop us, and these guys were the only one that was smiling and wait for us to decide where we want to eat. This is very nice and respectful. Compare to the different places around it so obviously we chose this place and we were really happy. They have very clean restaurant. I have very good food we open the morning really nice actually.
Nice experience. The staff was great. Prices are fair for the region. Nevertheless, the croissant and the apple danish were cold, but they were still good. The smoothie was very refreshing.
Cute little café with very good service and location. We got two lattes with oat milk, and they were decent. It's not cheap, so we were hoping for better quality of the coffee, but I would say it is the best café in that area still. I would recommend this place if you're looking for a quick, decent coffee.
The food and drink are fresh and tasty - tons of delicious menu options. It’s in a convenient location near the beach with indoor and outdoor seating. I’ve visited several times but on the last two occasions, my concern has been about the tall employee with curly hair. He’s a bit of a motor mouth and constantly makes unprofessional jokes: be it « she wants two eggs, yours or mine? » and « she wants her eggs well done - she’s well done too » and then proceeds to sing « Boricua, morena, Dominicana » It’s poor taste and immature for such an easygoing and well organized locale.
Good coffee, but $6 for a bottle of coke is ridiculous
We ordered one double macchiato and we weren't happy with the taste. I'm not sure if it's the amount of coffee or the brand of coffee but the taste was terrible. We are Colombians and we drink a lot of coffee everyday, great coffees. Also, the amount of the serving was stingy. Just half of a medium cup.
Coffee taste was not my favorite. Service was good though!
Stopped by here given the highly rated profile on Google. Got an iced latte which did not meet my expectations. Service was friendly but the staff was seemingly distracted which made things take a bit longer than they should have. A fine enough spot if you are looking for a quick bite or coffee but would not return.
I got a latte that was really watery and just not good, and the chocolate croissant was fine but tasted mostly like nutella. The ginger shot was great! And the workers were nice and the vibe was okay.
I don’t recommend to order anything with milk here because it will be just that , milk. Barsita kind enough to add 1 more espresso shot as my iced macchiato looked like a vanilla shake. Recommendation to change espresso beans to different one because the taste was not great. Anyway croissants were good.
I paid $8 for an Americano with an extra shot. I couldn’t bother to ask why and I am fortune enough to not have to. I am sure part of that bill was an automatic 20% tip. This seems to be the new default. Shame on corporate greed. Pay your employees fairly and list the actual price I have to pay. Tipping is a hidden tax paid by the customer to pay the employees. The only one profiting is the business. All that said, the coffee is rather average.
Ok cofee but waited 30 mins to get service on a Saturday.
The name “Il Dante Caffe” is very deceptive. You think you’re going in and getting Italian coffee and food, you come in greeted by Puerto Ricans that serve you ham and cheese on focaccia bread that you could buy and assemble yourself from Publix. I got the prosciutto sandwich, ended up getting ham? Service was subpar. They gave me a bag of chips with my breakfast sandwich. Weird place. Don’t come.
I went in this shop to get a quick coffee, but was ignored for the first minutes. Once the waitress finally recognised me, I ordered a latte macchiato (~$6). Unfortunately I received an espresso instead. When I claimed it, the waitress was rude and said she has done a Latte Macchiato. If she would do another one it would turn out the same. Tasted awful and definitely not worth the price.
The quality of their coffee is amazingly bad. Run from this. The place looks nice but they coffee is so shockingly bad. The coffee is so bland, you can taste no coffee, no milk. Their latte is water + 0.5 Shot espresso + (maybe) milk? I thought a latte should have 2 shots of espresso and milk. Starbucks is so bad but they are not this bad.
The worst coffee I have literally ever had in the entire country and the only time I have ever been compelled to write a review for anything as we were legitimately ripped off by this establishment. Ordered an iced americano and am convinced they gave me already used grounds as I was effectively given a cup of light brown water. Took them all of 15 seconds to make which means there is no way they could have packed the espresso, run the machine and served it. Tasted less like coffee than a cup of watery Folgers instant. Save your money and rest assured you are better off supporting a chain coffee place over this place that calls itself a cafe.
I was excited because of the good reviews.. but they literally sold me a cup filled with ice till the top for over $7! Asked for a cold brew and specifically asked for little ice.. when i saw he dip the cup inside the bucket of ice and came back full with ice till the top, i am not exaggerating! I never saw a coffee place put THAT MUCH ice, it was a full cup of ice!!! I did mention again that i dont want that much ice, and they just removed a scoop. I honestly never had a coffee with that much ice before, it was not half the cup, it was literally till the top. I am pissed. The coffee doesn’t even taste good and now its just a watered down coffee
it was terrible. I didn’t expect anything from this coffee shop, I just came in to get an espresso. But guys, espresso can't be prepared in 3 seconds. But what about extraction, what about taste and everything else? how can you give it away? I understand that the bean may not be very tasty, the grinding is poorly set up, but how can you prepare espresso in 3 seconds? I was there on 03/16 around 11 am. This is the most disgusting establishment on all of Miami Beach.
