All the food is a flavorful experience. The service by Danny was perfect. The star of the night was the chocolate mousse dessert with salted caramel cream ❤️
We sat in the atrium outside, it was great. Nice selection of specialty cocktails. All of our entrees were delicious. Excellent service.
Dining at Mayfair Grill inside the Mayfair House Hotel was an incredible experience! The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, with an open, stylish space that perfectly complements the hotel’s beautiful design. The menu focuses on grilled dishes, and every single plate we tried was bursting with flavor. We started with their garlic bread topped with Iberian ham — simple but absolutely delicious, the perfect start to the meal. Then we shared the burrata and gambas, both fresh and full of flavor. For the main course, we had the scallops and the Angus steak with broccolini — and wow! The scallops were perfectly cooked, tender and flavorful, and the Angus steak was juicy, full of smoky grill flavor, and paired with broccolini that was honestly on another level — perfectly crisp and seasoned. The service was friendly and professional, and every dish was served with care and attention to detail. This place is an absolute must if you’re visiting Coconut Grove or staying at the Mayfair House Hotel. We will definitely come back!
Quick stop for happy hour before having dinner elsewhere. We had a great server and were able to sit outside and people watch. Small drink menu for happy hour but they were delicious. The flatbread, dates, and croquettes were also very tasty!
Kenna was fantastic as our sever. The atmosphere here is great - the courtyard is beautiful and topical. The tables are quaint and spread out. Highly recommend!
We had an incredible brunch experience at Mayfair Grill! The menu offers a wonderful variety of dishes, and we decided to try the broken eggs, steak and eggs, croquetas, French toast, and brioche toast. Each dish had its own distinct, flavorful twist. The broken eggs were perfectly seasoned, with a savory richness that paired beautifully with the crispy potatoes. The steak and eggs were cooked to perfection—the steak was tender and juicy, and the eggs were fluffy and light, making it a satisfying choice for any brunch lover. The croquetas were a standout, with a crunchy exterior and a creamy, flavorful filling that kept us coming back for more. The French toast was delightfully indulgent, with a custardy center and just the right hint of sweetness, complemented by a touch of vanilla. The brioche toast was soft and buttery, perfect for pairing with the other dishes. For drinks, we tried the mojito and passion spritz, both of which were refreshing and expertly balanced. The mojito had a bright, fresh taste with a perfect hint of mint, while the passion spritz brought a tropical touch that was both fruity and light. The ambiance at Mayfair Grill was fantastic, combining a relaxed vibe with a touch of elegance. It felt like a blend of West Palm Beach and LA, which added to the charm of the experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend Mayfair Grill for a memorable and flavorful brunch experience in Miami!
Sat at the bar and the service there was great (Daniel was our server and he was phenomenal)! Yay Happy hour! The ambiance is nice! It’s indoor/outdoor! Got the Classic Margarita which was good!! The short rib birria taco ! We both liked it! Wish it had some zest to it like lime but still good on its own! Cesar salad was good! The lettuce was nice and fresh! Crispy how I like it haha if you know what I mean! Decided to try the carnitas taco with no onions! I’m not a huge fan or born tortillas but wow! That pineapple salsa on top just made it so yummy! Oh my…got the wood oven chicken and that broth was so good! We ate it all! It was really great! Only thing I could do without was the crispy corn. It was just hard and not that great compared to the rest of the dish! The person next to us decided to give us some of his wood grilled octopus and it was melt in your mouth Wow! Got the churros and the chocolate! Both so yummy! The chocolate cake might be small but it’s delicious and gluten free! The small churros were perfect! Altogether, amazing ! I don’t know why the reviews aren’t five stars! Happy hour has great drinks and food! The dinner menu item we got was great! And dessert phenomenal! So happy
Great experience!! I loved the service she was so kind thank u so much Dany was the best server!!
Such a wonderful Sunday brunch! 🍳 The menu had plenty of options, the food was delicious, and the ambiance was incredible. Our waiter, Ariel, was also incredibly attentive and kind! I’d highly recommend this spot to anyone.
Celebrating my wedding at Mayfer Grill was truly a dream come true. From the planning to the very last toast, everything was flawless. The garden, where we held our toast to the sound of a violin, felt like a scene from a fairytale magical and romantic. The dinner left my guests absolutely delighted. They traveled from Central America, Canada, and Colombia, and all told me they hadn’t enjoyed food like this in years. The appetizers, especially the Burrata and Muhammara, were outstanding. The entrées were a true feast: the Ribeye, exceptional in quality; the pork, tender and flavorful; and the skirt steak, equally spectacular. Special thanks to the entire team: Chefs Giorgio and Rosco for their culinary artistry, Shannon, the manager who coordinated every detail, and Tony, whose attentive and warm service made everyone feel special. We continued the celebration at the Rooftop, enjoying music and delicious cocktails, and ended with a brunch the next day, complete with mimosas and live music. Thank you, Mayfer Grill, for making our wedding an unforgettable experience we will cherish forever.
Fabulous dinner, in a wonderful setting. Everything we has was delicious, artistically plated, and served by our excellent server Andrea. She made the evening special, and the freshly made lemon strawberry cheesecake was outrageously good!!
Awesome brunch and dinner! Great food, great service and great ambiance. Everyone is friendly and patient with large groups and families. They have nice outdoor space too. The servers are knowledgeable about allergies and the menu.
We came here for a birthday dinner and it was so tasty!! The steak, croquetas, and the orange dessert thing was tasty. Lorenzo was the best server - would definitely come back!!
Danny is the best, very attentive. Food and drinks were amazing!!
Loved my time here! Drew in the fountain lounge was a joy! So kind and accommodating! I ordered the IBERICO PORK "CHURRASCO" and would 10/10 order again! The broccolini too, it has a wood fire taste which I adore. The ambiance is tranquil. It’s great to see this iconic grove location revitalized.
Great food, great service. Danny was fantastic. Highly recommend.
Can’t recommend this place enough! My husband and I come here all the time for happy hour and dinner - the food is amazing, always well-prepared and the Mayfair is a gorgeous historic hotel in Coconut Grove so the ambience is beautiful. But really this review is to highlight the amazing service we always get. Andy has been our server a few times and he is super knowledgeable about the restaurant, polite, personable, etc. We came with a large group for dinner recently and Daniel was another server who really made our time enjoyable. Definitely recommend!!
We were greeted by Nia and she’s an amazing host. She had a bright personality and made us feel welcome. She checked in on us during our meal multiple times and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely returning for the great customer service!
Super delish spot for brunch - perfect for before or after some shopping in the Grove. Loved the avocado toast and the steak frites were so GOOD! Great al fresco seating too.
Great birthday brunch! Daniela was wonderful
Hidden gem, we went for dinner. Delicious food and drinks, great service by Priscilla. It’s also quite large inside and out, so it tends to look empty from the street but we’d love to see it thrive. Give it a try!
Our server Ahmed was amazing. Very personable and had excellent recommendations. AND the mixologist Daniel was THE BEST. I gave him artistic license and he went ham. Literally the best creation I’ve ever had. Food was amazing but new favorite restaurant because of these two!
Eloisa's exceptional dedication to customer service and communication truly stands out. Her attention to detail and warmth reflect the restaurant's values. Based on her outstanding service, I highly recommend this restaurant. They prioritize customer experiences, ensuring a quality and enjoyable dining time for everyone.
The food and drinks here were great. I loved the atmosphere as well. We sat at the bar and Ken was our bartender, he was very attentive to us and made some great drinks. We will be back!
Amazing cocktails with amazing service! We sat at the bar a couple times and had a lovely time. The bartenders are knowledgeable and so kind. The chocolate tres leches cake was phenomenal.
Dined at the Mayfair Grill last night. Wallace and Alexia looked after me beautifully! They were friendly, professional and engaging. They also recommended some super Agave based cocktails along with superb menu items. I ordered the baked cheese and the wagyu - and will definitely be returning.
I have been waiting for Google Maps to add the Mayfair Grill, a new restaurant located in the Mayfair Hotel so I can include a review but that still hasn’t happened so here goes. The theme is food touched by fire or what they describe as Sonoran style cooking. Cocktails tend to be tequila and mezcal based. I had a grilled artichoke and mole rubbed picanha and a cocktail that included grapefruit and mezcal. Everything was delicious! Perfectly cooked and full of delicious flavor! They had been inundated at the bar such that our drinks were a bit slow in arriving and they immediately made them complimentary. The only thing I didn’t love was the s’mores inspired dessert. Great concept but it had a citrusy taste that seemed out of place. Very minor detail. As a plus, the garden seating was lovely and we were still protected in case of rain. This is a great addition to the Grove and I look forward to returning.
This is my go to latte and croissant shop! 2 or 3 times a week I come in during the morning and I have to say that Mayfair has the freshest and softest croissants. I also wanted to note that Alanis’s service is exceptional. I had this drink called agua fresca she recommended and it was great!
Visited the Mayfair Grill while touring Coconut Grove, and Nik at the front desk was absolutely fantastic. He welcomed me with a refreshing glass of water upon arrival, which was much appreciated in the Miami heat. Nik also guided me to the rooftop pool, which has stunning views, and suggested I try the espresso martini at the Mayfair Grill – it was delicious! His recommendations for places to eat and explore in the area were spot on. Thanks, Nik, for making my visit so enjoyable!
Kenna did a great job. Had a great time at the Mayfair!
A wonderful restaurant with delicious worldly cuisine. I especially loved the lobster ravioli, the iberico pork, and the tuna tartare. Every dish was so flavorful and the service impeccable.
As a Miami local, I was a bit concerned due to some reviews. However, I’ve always loved the hotel and decided to have dinner there on Christmas Day. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was—the service was excellent, and dining in the interior patio at night was a very nice experience. We both had seafood, red meat, and sides, all of which were very good. The prices are definitely on the higher side for the portions served, but the quality was there. I would have liked to see more options for Prosecco by the glass, as having only a $20-per-glass option feels a bit steep. However, when it comes to the food and service (the most important aspects), I would definitely go back.
An unforgettable night at Mayfair Grill. From the jalapeño pesto to the truffle fries, every dish had its own personality. The grilled flavor made all the difference, and starters like the little gem lettuce and local burrata truly impressed us. The hotel’s natural setting and the friendly staff made the evening feel like accessible luxury. Special shoutout to Tony, our server—attentive, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu.
Outstanding meal. As you could expect, pasta dish was great. But the grilled entrees were truly special. We had the snapper and the filet and we were very pleased. All desserts were incredible. But above all I can’t recommend our server enough — Lorenzo was a class act. Lorenzo was friendly and prompt and gave great recommendations.
Amazing Tony made my experience unforgettable Overall highly recommended tuna appetizer dates goat cheese Loved all good and drinks Will be back soon 🙌🏻
It was my first time having lunch with my family, and we absolutely loved it! The food was great, the service was welcoming, and the atmosphere was amazing. Our table was attended by Fation, who was knowledgeable and helped me choose the perfect wine. It was a great suggestion, by the way. We’ll definitely be going back again.
Came by to catch up with a friend and we sat outside. The area is very pretty, Malory took care of us and was great. We loved the tuna and the Quiver of Roses was very nice. Will be back!
Hands down the best burger you’ll find in the Grove. Friendly staff, beautiful ambience, 5-star service - you won’t be disappointed. Maria took care of my order and made my first visit to this venue the first of many. The tacos are fire; the wine list has something for everyone, and the prices are pretty reasonable. Bring your friends, bring a date, come alone for takeout like I did - you won’t regret it. Thanks again, Sebastian
Rony was amazing! Very attentive and helpful with suggestions and knowledge of the menu.
Came for a Christmas Eve breakfast and had the best experience! The salmon toast was one of the best smoked salmon dishes I have ever had. The homemade pastries and pancakes were also delicious. The restaurant is slightly small inside, but still very comfortable. The outside patio is beautiful and spacious. Will definitely recommend and visit again.
Mayfair Grill, a new highlight of the Mayfair Hotel, offers an exceptional dining experience. The truffle croquettes are a standout—crispy, creamy, and packed with luxurious flavor. Pair them with the "King of Miami" cocktail for a perfect combination of indulgence. The restaurant’s ambiance is unmatched, blending sophistication with a warm, inviting atmosphere. Chef Giorgio’s innovative menu and the overall vibe make Mayfair Grill a fantastic addition to the hotel and a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable meal.
To start off, Ricky is the best bartender you could ever wish for. The best Old Fashion in town, he's super friendly and the timing between drinks is just perfect. He will read your mind😄 also, id go there for the Wooden Grilled flatbread with garlic butter alone. I can have that for the entire night and never get bored; promise! Beautiful ambiance..take a seat at the bar. Cheers
We were able to visit during the opening. The food, drinks, and service were fantastic. The service was anticipatory without being intrusive, which created a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The cocktails were delicious as well. Definitely a great date night spot.
Chef Giorgio's food is absolutely incredible. The menu has a great variety for vegans, vegetarians and meat-lovers. I LOVED the lobster ravioli -- 10 out of 10 would recommend. And the Angus Skirt Steak with the chimichurri rojo was AMAZING. The chimichurri was unique and refreshing, and not oily like other chimichurris. The atmosphere is elegant, but casual, and comfortable at the same time. The staff were friendly and attentive, and my server made a great recommendation for a cocktail based on my preferences. The new cocktail menu is also a must-try -- I had the Dole Whip and it was extremely well-balanced, and not too sweet.
There are many dining options in CG, but sometimes it’s hard to find something that doesn’t break the bank with food you would come back for. This was a find. My wife and I live nearby and it’s now an option for a non-extravagant and not too expensive neighborhood dinner for two. Half-price bottles of wine on Wednesdays help. All the food was great, the grilled octopus with the green mole and potatoes was particularly delicious and well made. Some of the staff was new, but they were extremely pleasant and professional. Only not so great detail was the music, it really didn’t go with the green, cosy, laid-back atmosphere and we needed to strain our voices even though it was early and there were few other patrons.
Lorenzo was an amazing server - patient and welcoming. He let us take our time and was always around to make sure we were Ok. Steak tartare and fried egg sandwich were amazing. Will definitely be back.
Kenna was wonderful! Such a sweetie pie and so knowledgeable of the menu!
Excellent service and breakfast! We were there at 7am. Got fresh OJ, prickly pear Agua Fresca and an excellent quad espresso. I ordered the poblano squash blossom frittata which is served cold so it’s more like a crust less quiche. Definitely a substantial serving with a side of arugula salad. My partner got the avocado toast sans cheese to make it vegan. We got a variety of vegan sides as well. Crispy potatoes, vegan sausage and roasted tomatoes. The potatoes were the star of the meal! Can’t wait to stay at the hotel again and get dinner! Thank you for vegan options!
Surprised by all the negative reviews. We had dinner here as we were staying in the hotel. We had the avocado crudite as a starter and it came out super quickly, it was super fresh. I had the vanilla cocktail it was delicious. We tried two different flatbreads, appreciated the vegetarian option of cauliflower. The churro dessert option was delicious just impossibly large 😂 it could easily shared by two people.
Had brunch once and also had lunch on the day we checked out. Honestly was better than any other restaurants around the hotel (granted there are not many options around here) - the ingredients were fresh, super convenient (esp if you’re staying at Mayfair), ambience was good/clean (recommend outdoor tables by the street!) and service was really great!
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Mayfair for a wedding near by. It was our first time staying here and we loved it! This boutique hotel is so unique and beautiful. I loved exploring and relaxing among all the greenery. We ate at the Grill the evening we got in and the food was incredible! We shared the wood oven cheese dip which was delicious and then I had the charred cauliflower flatbread and it was an explosion of flavors probably the best flatbread I have ever had!! Every bite was divine I still think about it. My boyfriend ordered the pork carnitas tacos and also claimed they were delicious. Cocktails were yummy as well! I recommend this place for dinner!
was so happy to go opening weekend. Chef Rapicavoli is such a great Chef. Top favorites and must order, BLACK TRUFFE & POTATO CROQUETAS, the PASTURE RAISED CHICKEN is deceptively simple and delicious, GRILLED THICK-CUT BACON that tastes like it was bathed in charcoal goodness, such a beautiful sweet tangy smokey flavor and WHIPPED DARK CHOCOLATE with olive oil and candy crumbs is what dreams are made of. The vibe as great, the drinks delicious. had a great dinner can't wait to go back.
We stayed at the hotel for a few days and visited the restaurant for Brunch on a Sunday. The restaurant was quite full but since we were sitting outside (in the atrium with all the plants) it was still very comfortable and enjoyable. The food was delicious and service was very kind and friendly.
I was with friends on Saturday. The restaurant left me with an extraordinary impression. The service and food were excellent. The waiter was Tony. He was very polite and attentive. I thank him for the excellent service.
Food was amazing, drinks too. We started during happy hour and went into dinner. Lorenzo Aguiar was easily the highlight of the night. He took our pictures, recommended drinks and dishes and also modified some stuff to our liking. Try the mango spicy margarita and up in smoke drinks. For food the charred octopus, seafood tostada and the picanha and whole fish for dinner. Lorenzo brought out finishing flaky salt for everything and churros were the perfect finish. We're staying at the Mayfair hotel so we will be back before checking out for sure ! Love it Here
Food was very good; smash burger was great; my friend got the pesto jalapeño pasta that it has a very unique taste. Tony was owr server . He is very pleasant and on point.
Our family dinner at Mayfair was much more than just a night out: it was a celebration of the senses. From the moment we arrived, the elegant yet cozy atmosphere enveloped us, setting the perfect stage for a family gathering. The grill was undoubtedly the star of the evening. The flawless technique used to prepare the cuts ensured that each dish arrived perfectly cooked, with a smoky, deep flavor that won us over. The meats were juicy and flavorful, and the grilled fish stood out for its freshness and delicate touch of fire. The side dishes also shone: from the roasted vegetables to the sauces that elevated every bite. Each dish was a testament to careful attention and culinary expertise, served with a warm, professional touch that made us feel truly welcomed. Thank you, Mayfair, for gifting us a night of intense flavors, laughter, and family memories that we will cherish.
Our experience at this restaurant was absolutely amazing, thanks first and foremost to Daniela, our wonderful server. She was warm, friendly, and incredibly attentive throughout the night. You can tell she genuinely cares about making guests feel welcome, her service made all the difference. The food was Incredible. As an Italian, I’ve had my fair share of pasta, but the Ravoli Lobster Pasta was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had in Miami. Perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and the lobster was super fresh. I’ll definitely be coming back, both for the food and Daniela’s fantastic hospitality
Food was great, and Kenna was a wonderful server! So kind and sweet. Had a great dinner, will come back!
Food was delicious and the service we received from Dany was great. I had the Garlic gnocchi and it was deliciously creamy and decadent. My friend had the delicious jalapeño pesto pasta. Don’t let the name fool you, it is not spicy. It is creamy, earthy and delicious with a decent amount of stracciatella cheese on top. We ended our meal sharing a generous piece of Tiramisu. We sat in the inner “garden” next to the fountain. The temperature was great and the sound of the water was hypnotic. Will definitely make it a point to visit again.
We have visited Mayfair Grill several times in the past. Mainly for drinks which were excellent. But we came today to have dinner and we had our expectations surpassed. Danny was an excellent guide for us and we had the best time with our entire family. The tasting menu was great and all of our food items—even the ones that would, on first blush, seem pedestrian tasted great. I do recommend the dates and the snapper was also very very good.
Fantastic! I recently stopped by to place a takeout order and I’m really happy that I did. Christine, the super nice lady that took care of my order from behind the bar (if I remember correctly, I believe she said that she used to work at Ariete), was incredibly helpful and attentive, and she helped me choose a few client-favorites. Since I was going to be there for about 15-20 minutes, I decided to order a glass of wine and the flatbread appetizer, which was phenomenal. The burgers I took home to my wife & daughter were great, and the burrata appetizer was also delicious. 5-stars all around. The smiles, the service and the delicious menu items make this place a must-try if you’re in Coconut Grove. Thanks again! Sebastian, Ivette & Nina
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fantastic Experience at Mayfair Grill! I had a wonderful experience at Mayfair Grill. The ambiance was beautiful and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. A special thank you to Tony our server — he was outstanding! Attentive, friendly, and truly made our meal feel special. His service was impeccable from start to finish. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great food, great atmosphere, and excellent service. I’ll definitely be back!
New fave!!! The potato croquetas w truffle were so good. Grilled olives were fun. But the wood-grilled scallops???? BEST ever!! Add a great happy hour, top-notch service (thanks Christy & Gregory!), and a very Miami vibe, and this place gets 5 stars!!
The food was very good, everything tasted great and was served on time. The place is nice and the overall experience was positive. Danny provided excellent service—very attentive, friendly, and always making sure everything was okay. I would definitely come back.
We had our pre-planned wedding dinner at The Mayfair Grill last night, and everything was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we first scouted the venue, Shannon was incredibly helpful and accommodating to all of our needs. On the night of our dinner, Tony and Daniela were our servers, and they were simply amazing and attentive. The food and drinks were excellent, and every course was beautifully prepared and delicious. Beyond that, the entire establishment is stunning. We highly recommend this place if you want amazing food and a perfect atmosphere. 😊
Mayfair Grill is situated inside the Mayfair Hotel which first opened in 1985. Since then, the hotel and restaurant have undergone extensive renovations. The original architecture is unique, and the atrium has to be experienced. We had a very nice table surrounded by water fountains and lush greenery. It's an oasis in the heart of the Grove. Tony our server was fantastic. Very attentive ( he saw a tiny sip of beer in a bottle and asked before removing it ) He explained the menu and the specials and gave us plenty of time to order which didnt take long bc the menu is rather small. Constant supply of ice water. The grilled flatbread for starters was delicious. Good sized portions : The grilled shrimp main course was 6 jumbo shrimps. Halibut special was a good-sized filet. Side orders can be shared. Don't miss to check out Sipsip the rooftop bar . The pool is located on the top floor too. Nice views. Altogether an enjoyable night out.
Made reservations for two for Friday night 9/1/23... I requested an outside table for two near fountain, but was very hot so we switched to an inside table and staff was very friendly and accommodated us. From the start, hostess was very friendly and not just technically friendly. She was attentive and gave way to the busser-like lady that poured water and offered bottled water which we said yes to. Then, our server approached us in a very friendly manner and proceeded to help us , give us space and time to choose our selections from the minimal , yet foreign to us menu. My partner chose his app and entree which was very happy with. I chose the 44.00 dollar wagu steak that was mind blowing . Our drinks were not stiff for the price. My pinot noir by the glass wasn't really " all that! For 15 dollars ..I've had better for less! The atmosphere inside was very homey but tables were too close to each other . That's why my 4 stars but the more important expectations were nailed ! Manager was very nice and we could comeback in the near future! ..but yeah, that steak tho.!
Our server, Danny, was extremely kind, attentive, and make sure everything was up to their standards.
This not your typical hotel. Fun vibe with a different atmosphere. Enjoyed my 2 day stay. Excellent proximity for a variety of restuarants and shopping. My only concern was the shower, and the potential falling hazard entering or exiting the shower. No door, rain shower gets water all over. This room should have grab bars at minimum. Room 338. The hotel is worth checking out.
Food was great but the portions were very small for the price. No bread to start the meal even when we ordered the Burratta. The service was very nice. The restaurant’s atmosphere was a bit dead for a Friday night, it was missing some energy.
The menu is very limited. I ordered a few dishes along with the group I was with and the food was not very flavorful. I ordered a margarita and that was good and strong. I recommend just a cocktail and maybe an appetizer and that’s about it. The atmosphere is really pretty and relaxing. If you decide to do valet, you pay $15 if you eat at the restaurant.
The ambiance is beautiful. Our server was great but the food…… just not good. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and the egg as overcooked. The sausage wasn’t cut. They were pieces that I had to bite into and the whole piece would come out. The potatoes had no salt and were stale. The Belgian waffles had no flavor. My friend ordered the ibérico steak and eggs and that was decent. I would only recommend this place if you’re having a drink and catching up with a friend since it’s a beautiful atmosphere.
Have been living a mile away from this hidden gem for 4 years now. Atmosphere is amazing. Brunch was okay. Food should never come out before your drinks. At one point, my husband had to go collect his drink from the bar because he got tired of waiting. Bartender was busy cracking jokes while our server was cutting up limes. I have grown accustomed to poor service in Miami.
Experience was a bit underwhelming, had the steak frits and French toast: steak was cold and way too salty, French toast itself was delicious but they drench it in sauce vs adding on the so the bread gets soggy. Limited menu for kids but they are willing to put something together which is nice, great live music though.
Food was boring and not very good. The service was awful, they would disappear to chat inside, ignoring us. They brought out the waffle with no syrup, we couldn’t ask for the syrup because they were no where to be found for 30 minutes. We’re super polite, at least we try to be to servers and anyone in the restaurant industry. So I don’t think it was anything we did, our waiter was just distracted? The ambiance was lovely, which is why I gave this place two stars. Wouldn’t come back for anything we ordered though.
Food was bland and lacked flavor. Went for breakfast and ordered the banana bread (tasted like an over priced Starbucks banana bread) and the Barbacoa Breakfast Tacos. It was just super dry and did not taste like anything. I felt sluggish and sick all day after eating there and could not even eat all day with how sick I felt. The restaurant needs to improve its quality of food and bring life and flavor back into the kitchen. Restaurant automatically tips 18% which allows servers to be lazy and not attentive to their tables. Our waiter visited us three times and I had to wave him and others down to ask for additional items. Needs improvement.
Honestly, below average. This place desperately needs to put salt in their food, nothing had flavor. The bartender was also extremely heavy handed and my entire table of 10 people didn’t like their drinks because they didn’t taste good. When you’re paying $15+ for a cocktail, you want it to be good and flavorful… our drinks just tasted like pure alcohol. Our server constantly forgot to bring us our food and drinks that we had ordered, and would take 15+ minutes to bring them when she did remember. Maybe it’s better for lunch, but the dinner was a mess, and to think 18% is already included is bizarre when the service is not good whatsoever
Mayfair Grill was a big disappointment. The food is completely overpriced for what you get — nothing special at all. The croquetas taste like something you could get better (and cheaper) at Publix, and the rest of the dishes were just ordinary. The décor looks super old and outdated, and the service was just okay at best. Definitely not worth the money or the hype.
Why would you guys change the whole menu ? It used to be my favorite restaurant for octopus and now you’re selling a burgers instead ? The menu used to be more authentic. I got my heart broken today. Please reverse the change. It used to be a beautiful place with great food.
Came with some high expectations being a fan of Luca and eating house- this place completely disappointed. Food was flavorless and bland. Croquetas meh, dates alright, steak cold, potatoes cold, egg sandwich left much to be desired for.
We had the worst possible New Years (and generally) experience at Mayfair Grill. Service was horrendous from the start - the waitstaff got our drinks wrong, the oysters had shell chunks in them (we complained and they did nothing about it), we sat for 2.5 hours waiting for our 2nd and 3rd courses, and they forgot our 2nd course and jumped to the 3rd course, manager was rude and abrasive, food was terrible, and we left without eating anything. Horrible service, bad food, and outdated setting. Many people around us were unhappy too (complained about the food and service). I will never recommend this place, nor will I go back. I prepaid $800 for 4 people for the NYE menu and had to put in a dispute on AMEX for a refund. Horrible.
Brunch food quality was average. Brunch cocktails were equally average. Service was extremely below average. We waited 20 minutes to give our order, and only because we got up to inquire. Appetizers were served at the same time as the main dish, and also together with the drinks. Service charge is already included, however the server informed me that this goes to the team and that I should leave an additional gratuity directly to her. Ridiculous.
I had syrup poured down my back and all over my white shirt and satin skirt by a server accidentally who was just not paying attention (she didn't even notice). They offered to have my clothes dry cleaned by having me drive them over there and then also pick them up, as opposed to simply paying the dry cleaning bill. Then I asked for a blackened chicken sandwich. Apparently, they thought blackened meant burned, and didn't understand it's a seasoning. So they took it away and said it would come off the bill. When the bill came, the chicken sandwich was on the bill ($24). I asked about it and she said the manger wouldn't take it off (even though they took the full burnt meal away, not to mention the syrup fiasco and the fact that she didn't tell us it wasn't taken off). Eventually, they took the sandwich I didn't eat off the bill. I think they gave my friend a free drink. Hardly making up for pouring syrup all over me. My friends all said they will never go back. When I worked in the service industry, pouring syrup all over someone's hair, back, and nice outfit would have been handled as a big deal.
I made a reservation knowing there Chef comes from Luca and eating house. When I arrived they told me that the only thing they had available was to sit outside….. that I did not request to sit inside! There is not an option to choose on the reservation and it is extremely hot in Miami in the summer! So I would not think that was an option and number 2 I have never been there so would not know that they even had an outside seating. To pay money to sweat! No thank you! Snd by the way, no one was sitting outside! I asked to speak to the manager and not once did anyone apologize or offer a drink or try to help. They only made it seem it was some how my fault! I will never give my service or money to this establishment. It’s sad because the chefs two restaurants have amazing service and I was looking forward to trying this place!! Well they lost a customer and I will make sure to share my story! I highly do not recommend if you want good service. I understand if I did not have a reservation but come on!!
Went with my wife. Got seated. A server appeared after 15 minutes. We ordered some food and asked for a drink menu. Didn’t see our server again until after we were done with our food. Bill had an 18% gratuity.
