I had an outstanding dining experience at this Dominican Republic restaurant. The outdoor setting, coupled with the lively music, created a vibrant atmosphere. The steak with grilled onions and peppers, along with the tostones on the side, was a culinary delight. The service was exceptional, adding to the overall satisfaction. My uncle ordered the goat, and the taste was simply amazing. To top it off, the side of fried cheese was nothing short of heavenly—it was the best thing in the world. I highly recommend this restaurant for its fantastic Dominican cuisine, attentive service, and a memorable dining ambiance.
Small time local restaurant with 5-star quality food is my favorite song! I knew no Spanish but the staff was accommodating all the same. Atmosphere was restful in the neighborhood and outside which only accentuates the main feature: the food. I had the mofongo and salami for the 1st time and I was in heaven! I wish I could've sampled my friends' plates but the portions were so good I could barely finish my plate. Since the restaurant is meant for the community the prices were really reasonable. I'm definitely coming back to Miami and for sure My Conukito will be on my places to go again!
If you’ve never experienced a local eatery in the Dominican Republic nows your chance to immerse yourself 100%. If you have then you’ll feel right at home here. The first characteristic that you’ll identify is the music playing as loud as possible from gigantic speakers. Definitely makes you feel like your are on the island. The staff encounter also make you feel at home. The tables are located outside under a tent. Don’t let that steer you away from having a hearty and authentic Dominican meal. Also, leave some room for their homemade common Dominican desserts.
Such a refreshing and great experience. It felt like I was in the Dominican Republic for a minute. Food was excellent, affordable prices and top service. Cant wait to go back…
This is not a fancy restaurant so don’t come expecting luxury. The building is from the 70’s. Its an outside patio with very loud music and tons of ceiling fans. So now that we got that out of the way lets talk about the restaurant. I felt like i went to DR when i visited this place. The owner will come and have a beer with you and i even saw her starting some hooka. I tried the mofongo with pork and it was amazing. 10 stars on flavor. Will definitely come back. No wonder why they got some many positive reviews.
From the outside it doesn't look fancy but go on in. The food was extraordinary! She made the mofongo for me without pork and I couldn't have been more satisfied.
👍🏿💎I love this place! Recently found it after living in the area for almost a year, strangely only had dominican food like 5x in my life. Only 3 dominican resturaunts and this little one was the best, forget rumbaa on 826, they camt compare to this delicious food. Que rica! I will go here weekly from now on, ive been 2x in 4days. Comida super! Mucho sabor y empleados felices y amables(friendly happy employees) seems partially family run. They are take out or outside seating (perfect for winter and early spring in florida when its not too hot) sometimes the/an owner(i think) some tall guy was dj'n on some club style speakers with dominican music was a fun vibe. Prob Thursday fri and saturday is when it really turns up. Me encanta.. will be back and i highly recommend this restaurant.
This small, hole in the wall Dominican spot turned out to be a nice find. The place isn’t fancy, but the food tasted good and had that homemade feel. Portions were decent, and the seasoning was on good. The service was also good and simple, attentive, and no issues. Overall, it’s a reliable spot if you’re in the area and want a satisfying Dominican meal without the issues.
Food was great and so was the service! First time trying Dominican food and it was amazing!
Ceviche delivered. A GH suggested addition to a Pollo Tropical order. A bit of the juice leaked out of the takeout container but enough remained to still be excellent. The side cabbage and tomatoes were a welcome surprise! Beans and rice included too.
Came here a little after noon. The atmosphere was great. The service was great. Very attentive. The food was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. The music was a bit too loud, but you get used to it after a while. The dining is mostly outside. Overall nice little place to eat Dominican food. Had sancocho and it was very good.
Food was amazing! I ordered the chicken dish and the meat was so tender and flavorful. We got the chinola drink and lemonade which were also super good
It was amazing. The service was great. The food was priced Great. The beers were so cold. I want to go back
Tasty, Delicious, Delicate Served, Very Good Service. If you are looking just for good dominican food and don't care for a fancy place, well, this the place to go, I highly recommend it....
Great atmosphere! Beers are super crisp! food is amazing with a good portion for a great price ! Music vibes!!! Low key and in the cut !
Great little place. You feel like you're in the Dominican Republic. I didn't try the food, but it looked and smelled delicious. Great music.
Well I love the attention they have with there customer's, the food is amazing. I give them a highly satisfy rating and the place looks very good.
Food so good I felt like I was eating a little piece of heaven. If you're looking for homestyle Spanish cooking, then this is the place. Good portions, fair prices.
Humble place ....An authentic Dominican restaurant...food is Delishhhh and excellent customer service!!!! Can't pin point what is the best plate to recommend because everything we've tried is on point! Don't leave without trying the "Morir soñando"!
The best Dominican food in lil Haiti! Excellent service extremely friendly. Perfect little hideaway
Loved having this experience. whether your from the DR or just in for the experience. The food took us back and lived up to our expectations, the staff was friendly and the music was loud but fun. 😉😉😉
Delicious food, reasonable prices. Server very attentive. They complied with all of our substitutions requests to the T. Coming back for sure.
If you’re looking for legit Dominican food, this is your place. I always get the Longaniza Mofongo and last time I tried the Chivo Guisado and I’m obsessed!
Love this hole in the wall place have been coming for years . Friday and Saturday has a DJ they have hookah and food is always fresh. As many times as I’ve gone here I’ve tried everything my favorite is the mofongo with shrimp.
I love this restaurant. Dominican food done right. Friendly and welcoming staff. I also love the music they play and the live singers that perform. Kitchen is open late too.
Food and service is amazing. Music is a little to loud to be able to put the order in properly without repeating. So I call my order in and pick up in the back side
Love it. I am from NYC and I miss my Washington Heights Dominican cooking. This is the place I go for comfort. Very inexpensive. The atmosphere feels like Dominican Republic. Its a great place to relax and enjoy great food.
Food is delicious. The atmosphere and set up is just like DR. We sat outside on a cool night with loud music and cold drinks. We had a great time and will be back with more friends and family.
This is a hidden gem and lovely place to call for take-out orders. Food is usually ready for pick-up within 15 minutes. There prices and food quantity is - in my opinion - the best I've found. I wish this place and their staff the best.
Customer service sucked but food was amazing. I guess if u don't look like one of them then u get a dry service. If only they knew that I only look white but I am Dominican. Sticks cuz I loved there food but doubt I'll go back.
Excellent service Awesome music Amazing food 💪🏾🇩🇴💪🏾
Very chill spot friendly staff food is amazing they need a spot up in WPB. The food is on point from the pastitos to the meats. I had the fried platter, chicken, red meat, salami, fried cheese longaniza...brought me back to New York for a minute. Very good food!
Best authentic Dominican food in Miami/North Miami hands down… This is where I go when I need comfort food… However, the music is loud and there’s no indoor seating—do it feels like home 😂
I had the place to my self at lunch time. It did took a little bit more time than expected but definitely worth the wait. My food was hot and very well presented. This is authentic Dominican food and it was delicious 😋 i will stop by again anytime I’m in the area! Todo estuvo riquísimo te sientes como que fuiste a DR. a comer. 😂
Good service good good food
We were looking for a place to eat after 10 pm and the staff offer to make anything you e wanna courteously. Great food
Food is consistently great and never disappoints. I which I could post pics of my plate but once again it's in my stomach before I thought to do so.🤷♀️
Great little spot with delicious food. Had the Sopa de rez and Chicharron de pollo and both were delicious. Ordered some tostones and a side of rice and beans and everything hit the spot. Area around the restaurant is a bit shady but other than that, well worth it.
This is by far the best Dominican restaurant I have tried in Miami so far! The staff is super nice and attentive and the food is always delicious. At night this place turns into a night club type of place with amazing latino music (bachata, salsa, dembow etc.) the hookas are to die for!. Overall and amazing spot that you must try!. Amo este lugar!
The food is delicious and the service is great. They make sure to get my order right even when there's a mistake, and they're kind about it. I put 4 stars on atmosphere because the music tends to be super loud. I understand it's typical for Dominican restaurants to have blasting music, it's just not my cup of tea. But I love everything else about this place.
Always great too bad they don't have indoor seating cuz it was just too hot and it was early morning my fiance and I went but the food was great and the waitresses also
Dominican food has now become a top 5 for 2026
The food es very good, but it's really need another bathroom, cause I have very bad experience going to that only one bathroom.
I always love coming here great service great food and people. Dominican food at its finest
Mann I’m Dominican from NY and let me tell yahhhh 🤧🥲 this is the best Dominican food I've tasted 😋 food taste like my GMA made it so I did some deep investigation and found out that They have a Grandma in the kitchen 🥹 not only is the food amazing but the workers have become like family in just a short time of me going❤️🥺 love this place if you looking for chill vibes and great food with a big touch of Our mother land this is it!!! Now I just wish they would stay open till 1am cause they close at 11 🤧
Definitely was so worth coming here I tried the asopao de mariscos and I me that don'tike fish soup let's say I actually like it because it was that good and the portions are amazing no lie
The most wonderful local dominican place. It feels like home everytime I go and am not a frequent costumer. This place feels like a tipico colmado and on Saturdays they have live entertainment and karaoke. And the food amazing home cook meals. Cant go wrong
They served us super fast, it really seemed like you were in the Dominican Republic. The food was delicious, as was the natural lemonade, which was highly recommended, as was the mofongo with fried pork dough. They also have a large parking lot.
Food was good. Try the seafood soup/ gumgo ( asopao de marisco) its delicious. The oxtail ( rabo) was good, the oxtailwas not as tender as i would have liked but it was flavorful. The Mangu with pickled onion is a must. Had it with fried cheese and salami. It's an experience all on its own. We could have had avocado and an egg too but not this time. Brush up on you Spanish before you go.
Fun and basic island food. You eat in and under tarps. We had beans and rice and chicken. The chicken is just wacked up So you get random pieces of some meat, some fat, and, and some bone. We had a passion fruit drink that tasted like they juiced a passion fruit.
It’s always a great time there especially with the music playing. Plus the food is always great as well !!
I like the vibe here and the food is really good, but it takes so long. The service is not bad but it can be better
Good tasting fresh food, like Dominican food from home, the kind that mom or grandma makes. It's a mom & pops establishment, very nice people that own the place. Chill atmosphere, good music.
This is what Miami is all about!!! Talk about a neighborhood joint.... say no more, Saturdays and Sundays, it's all about My Conukito. The perfect small get-together with the family and friends, get your kareoke on, and dance the night away with some latin beats and a few cold ones. Let Adrian take care of you, relax, and enjoy your night... I just did. It's 2 a.m. and we had a blast.
Great food , a original outdoor atmosphere- if your looking for late night or breakfast this place is delicious It’s not fancy place a it is worth it
Came here Thursday night and it was LIT. Loved the music and atmosphere. Had the steak with rice and beans but it was below average in the flavor department. Steak was a bit dry, rice was cold, and beans lacked flavor. Tostones were good but kind of hard to mess those up. I would come back for vibes not for the food.
Dominican Break fast was exellent.
It's a great little place, very homey feel and the food is great! I had the goat stew which was delicious and very tender. You can tell the food was cooked well. I love the outdoor atmosphere and prices are reasonable. The staff don't seem to know much English but they are very accommodating.... I will definitely come back again!
The Food was great.I ordered shrimp with white sauce with mangu and glass of red wine .A fruit fly was in my drink and the waiters grap the drink and saw the fly and she came back with another cup of wine in a Togo cup.. Then she came back asking for the card to pay the bill… I ask my friend did you see a receive a receipt. She like no.. The waiters came back with pen so I can sign the Receipt . I looked at the receipt and saw that she charged me twice for the one and I asked her about why She said they gonna charge her if she didn’t charge me they double charged you and do not tell you about what they charge you or Explain I had no idea that she was going to charge me twice For the drink that the flies fell in. I just want you all to be aware they do not care. If you are serving in a patio area and you have flies you must have fans to help fan out the flies. They have no sense of customer service. They did not care and still charge me for a wine that flies got in and that was not my fault they have fruit flies in their establishment. The food was good butbyhr customer service sucks.
Good Dominican food at good prices. We normally just order to go because the place is always playing extremely loud music. We have to yell for the servers to hear us. Wish this restaurant wasn't as roudy and a bit more visibly inviting. There is a huge potential to attract more business.
I have never been to this place before and went with family. The food was amazing the only complaint I would probably say is there was quite a wait for our food.
The food is great but the service needs work. You will wait forever for a server to attend you. I had to get up multiple times to get things myself. And that’s including the check. If the service was better, I would’ve rated 5 stars because the food is amazing.
Yes the food is definitely great but it’s kinda sad watching everyone (including the restaurant staff) not doing anything about the pandemic like taking measures and not doing takeout only like the rest of the restaurants it’s like COVID-19 doesn’t exist here, anyways it doesn’t matter if you try to serve only takeout if they are just going to allow u just sit there and smoke your hookah and drink beer also service was just ok but I don’t want to know how it would be if the place was full.
This is the second time I go to this restaurant. I had been craving going back since the first time I went. Yes, the food is that good! But be very careful about paying attention to your bill I was overcharged and double charged for the tip. The woman that brought the bill to the table (who was not our waitress) was very much in a rush for me to just sign my receipt and not even wanting to tell me how she came up with the wrong amount. Keep an eye on your bill…do your math! There’s a DJ that has a great voice (he sings) and the food is amazing! I would have honestly given this place a 4 star except the waitress killed it for this establishment. Management should really look into that. They would probably have more business if it wasn't for the not-so-great service. The restroom is on the side of the building. I didn't use it so I can't say if it was maintained clean or not. Overall it's a small, outdoor space and they have enough parking. Will I go again? Yes!! Again the food is that good but I will make sure I do my own math.
Service is always slow and bad for the most part. Food is okay but it’s always an issue placing order or getting it correct.
Decent mom & pops Dominican Restuarant. Food Is Fresh and the natural Juices are perfect. Due to their high prices I rated them 2 stars. Theres another restuarant across the street call "Last Stop" in spanish that has the same fresh quality food but 40% more affordable with better parking space. With this restuarant even with warning signs everywhere you have to be looking over your sholder often to make sure your car is not towed. It gets croweded here so the parking space is limited.
Ricky Dinky dominican spot reminded me of DR🇩🇴 Had lunch there today with my husband 8/22/2020 the first thing was no Protection or COVID 19 procedures... I had the mofongo with shrimp on a flat regular plate the sauce was almost spilling off the plate it was ok..My husband had Asopao de camarones (shrimp stew) & it was horrible very salty, watery and hardly any rice. The only thing that was excellent was the 4 Modelo beers we had that were ice cold😂 I told the owner and she just said oh ok and walked away🙄 0 customer service. Won’t be returning unless it’s necessary! We were starving and was the closest place in the area..
Great Dominican food but I had to wait one hour for a dinner for one person to go when I was told 20 minutes in the beginning. Then when the food finally came they forgot to include a side that I had ordered extra. When I asked them about it the girl said oh yeah I forgot and went to tell the cook, then I looked in the kitchen and the cook had just started on my side so I had to wait almost another10 minutes. The girl told me to call next time and I will but if I do and they tell me a time and it takes longer they will hear it. They gotta get it together in that kitchen. Also a word of advice, don't pay ahead of time this way if they take too long you can leave. I unfortunately paid ahead of time and was stuck waiting, I would have left and resorted to some fast food if I only knew it would take over an hour to get my food. By the time I took my food back home I started eating dinner at 10:30 at night and I had to work the next day! Highly irritated at this situation!
Place is very quaint, live music, super friendly servers. Great attitude. BUT... food was beyond greasy, even after tapping with napkins pork chunks were oozing with grease.they were tasteless, and to make matters worse, as we were speaking with owner who came by. Our table to get us; i pulled a long hair out of my mouth! And to my surprise she took it off my hand looked at it, made a yuk face shook it off her fingers and walked away as if it were OK? As if it was a common issue? Never turned to apologize, or ask for a pardon! Just walked away as if nothing. Of course, I didn't say or do anything I was to shocked and taken aback by her reaction. NO, I didn't finish eating. NO, I will not return there! It's still shocking to me her actions & reaction.
I ordered some rice from DoorDash and it was completely undercooked.
The need to put a sign "Services for Men only". "Servicio para Hombre solamente" you are a woman, they ignore completely. I was there with my child for half an hour did no ask if I need something, and there were not alot of people. Worse ever services ever, zero start.
My husband had been there before with family he recommended it so when we came back to miami we decided to eat there. OMG what a mistake the only thing I'm going to say is that the meat (bistec encebollado) smelled really bad🤢🤢🤮🤮😬needless to say will NEVER step foot in this place EVER.....
This place food was very disgusting and so are the workers. The workers were talking behind my friends and I backs and laughing while we were eating which made us feel very uncomfortable about eating the food. Luckily I speak some Spanish and I overheard them speak about us in a nasty manner.
Very disappointing I spent $12.00 on a monfongo and macitas, mofongo had a horrible after taste I cant even describe it and the macitas were so dry they looked like they reheated them on a grill of some sort, the music was good so the 1 star goes just for that SMH and to think I was so excited to go get some lunch with my coworker, I should bring it back and have them taste that nasty A$$ mofongo, glad it wasn't expensive. wont return....
Strictly Spanish speaking staff and ***Dishonest pricing***. When I went to pay my bill they charged me more than the actual cost. I confronted them about this they simply said the menus were old (so the prices were not up to date). Shouldn’t the customer be notified of this beforehand? Very unfair treatment, not even an apology. With all that being said, if you’re not a fluent Spanish speaker don’t dine here because if you run into any issues the staff won’t be friendly enough to resolve them. Besides that, the food is okay. I would consider it an okay place for casual and simply cooked lunch. Home cooked, super casual, outdoor setting, hole in the wall type atmosphere. They even have plastic bags filled with water tied to the ceiling for you to get an idea of what the place is like.
I normally like this place. I placed an order for two 4 golpe breakfast for 7am and drove to the west side for it. Go in and come to find out the chick said she didn't see my order. Meanwhile back at the ranch..they charged my card (oh yea in which I received an email as well) so I called my bank to stop the payment and went to West Dixie highway and NE 132nd which made me probably a better 4 golpe breakfast than this place. Never again. Oh and I finally got to enjoy my 4 golpe breakfast 👍🤗♥️💯
Absolutely disgusting, bought a picada to take home and the chunks of meat were reheated and burned God knows of how many days prior. You could tell they were not from the same day. Wish I can give them 0* for been dishonest and sell DISGUSTING and OLD FOOD as fresh. I Absolutely do not recommend this place.
The experience here was horrible even the service. 1st time and the last. Food was not really good and the meat was super dried. Not only the food wasn't good, we also waited over an hour for the food. People who came after us received their food before us. We asked the server she couldn't even explain it. Super disappointed..... Never again.... waste of time.
This has been by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant in Miami. The food was definitely not what I expected, it was cold and no taste. The lady who served us had a horrible attitude, and payed no mind to us at all through out our whole stay eating there. We had finished eating and my boyfriend had to literally walk over to her while she was on the phone to ask for the check. Ridiculous! She then had the nerve to come and bring us the check while still talking on the phone. The worst part about this whole thing is that the tip was included!! I will not be coming back to this place ever again.
Never again, i order over the phone, the lady who took my order told me your order will be ready in 20min, theirs no reason to lie, just be honest and say 45 to hr which was actually what i had to wait. I got to the place my order wasn’t even cook.. i had to wait exactly 1 hr.. i always like to support small business but im done with them.. got home my food was salty as f%^^#, i had to throw it away.. i usually never leave reviews but this was much needed..
I been to this place few times, and the food is decent. I had no problem with the place for ordering before even i don't speak Spanish. But today when i try to order a pick up on the phone, this lady told me "no English, Spanish only" so pretty much if you don't speak Spanish you can not get anything from here from now on. Well to whoever that answer the call, this is America, NOT south America, so speak a little English to please your customer is a road to success for business in America.
Had a bad experience will never go again She put her own tip No one there speak English
Was very disappointed the last time I went. Ordered Rabo Encendio and it was cut so small you couldn't bite into it because it was all bones. Best not to serve this dish if you are going to pull stunts like this. You're not only cheating the public, you're cheating your self.
We waited 4 hours for our food if you are hungry don’t come here. Little amount cold. Will never come back
AVOID IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SCAMMED. Make sure to compare your receipt with the menu prices! We ordered $70 worth of food and received a bill for $115. When questioned about the upcharge they just said that it was a lot food and never explained the additonal fees or that gratuity was already included. Food was decent, but not worth the headache. Find another restaurant.
