Great place to congregate, grab a bite to eat, a drink and watch a game or match. Inside or outside seating. Staff is great and accommodating and the prices are good..
I had an amazing time at Opera House! The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, perfect for a night out with friends. Carmina was friendly and skilled, mixing some of the best cocktails I’ve had in a while. I highly recommend trying the mojito —it was fantastic! Great music, reasonable prices, and an overall excellent vibe. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Fantastic place to eat and within walking distance of the hotels nearby. The food was great, ambiance was nice, and there’s always people sitting down with dogs that you can pet which is the best part. You do kind of have to flag the servers down for anything you need, but I didn’t mind that. Also keep in mind the 18% gratuity is added and not usually shown to you, but that’s the same everywhere in Miami.
My wife and I ate here today. This place was phenomenal. The female server was a pleasure. I must say, whoever the cook was today did an exceptional job. I had a steak, loaded potato, and veggies. EVERYTHING was seasoned perfect. I’d definitely return when I visit Miami. Honestly, the pic doesn’t do the taste of the food justice.
Opera House was such an amazing spot! Taylor was extremely helpful with everything! If you want fantastic food and exceptional service, Opera House is the place to be!
Good atmosphere, close to the hotels. Sladja was an awesome bartender, we enjoyed talking to her and she made good drinks!
Nice literal hole in the wall spot with extremely cheap drinks for Miami during happy hours. My go to spot in Biscayne. Shout out to Eduardo!
Excelente service!!! Nice food! Wonderful local bar… Tourists are welcome as well 😃
My fiancée and I stopped by at night and it was a good vibe. Carmina and Jessi were very helpful and they are the main reason for the high rating because service is very important to me.
I love the opera bar .... Everyone is super nice and the pizzas are fabulous and sport nights are great
If you love margarita or cosmopolitan, look for Mimi at Opera House. She made the best cosmo I’ve had in years! We just had the Opera Burger and fries on the side, which were sooo good!!! This is THE place to go especially to those checked in around the area like Doubletree and Marriott Biscayne Bay. ❤️
Food is good, real close to great...well what i had , anyway. Stipped in for a quick bite . Wings were tasty but their hot isn't mine ...lol. but good. Fries good! Service by Mr. Yjelvis at the bar great. Food was out quick... view and atmosphere was great too. Not too crowded ! Will be back if im in the area.
Had such a great time at this venue! Carmina and Jessi made the experience 10/10. Great service, great drinks.
Great hangout with outside bar for locals and tourists. Good beer selection
The staff makes the place perfect. It’s the cheapest place in Miami and they have a music box.
Loved it! Food is tasty, service is efficient and fun. People watching is great. We will be back! 2 for 1 Monday-Friday, 4-7.
Not sure if you are all understanding how good this food is but it was outstanding. This is our 1st trip to Miami from Minnesota. The music was an incredible blend, service was second to none and the food was great. I was trying to find a seafood place nearby, this was not on the radar. Best Scallops I have had. We will be back for the duration of or stay.
In the vibrant heart of our neighborhood, nestled where history meets modern charm, stands the Opera House restaurant—a place that has not only witnessed the ebb and flow of Miami’s dynamic dining scene but has also become a testament to resilience and excellence. Having lived in the area for 14 years, I’ve seen this establishment weather its share of storms, including facing critical reviews. Yet, it’s not the challenges that define Opera House but its remarkable transformation and the unparalleled service it offers today. The service at Opera House is nothing short of exceptional. It’s rare to find a place where staff not only remembers your name but also greets you with the warmth and familiarity of an old friend. Every visit feels like stepping into “Cheers,” where everybody knows your name, and you’re always welcome. This personalized touch adds a layer of comfort and belonging that is increasingly scarce in the fast-paced world of dining. Opera House has indeed been through rough times, as have many beloved institutions. What sets it apart, however, is its unwavering commitment to improvement and the extraordinary lengths it has gone to revitalize both its menu and its customer experience. Today, the restaurant downstairs stands as a beacon of culinary excellence, showcasing the best of what Miami has to offer. The ambiance of Opera House is as captivating as its service is commendable. Whether you’re nestled inside its elegantly appointed dining room or enjoying the balmy Miami weather in its outdoor seating area, the restaurant offers a setting that is both inviting and sophisticated. It’s an ideal backdrop for the myriad of flavors that await you, each dish crafted with care, passion, and an eye for detail that elevates every bite into a memorable experience. To the team at Opera House, your dedication has not gone unnoticed. You’ve transformed adversity into opportunity, elevating your service to levels that truly deserve recognition. Your kindness, attention to detail, and the personal connections you forge with each guest have set a new standard for what dining should feel like. To my fellow Miamians and visitors to our beautiful city, if you’re seeking a dining experience where exceptional service, exquisite cuisine, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere are the norms, look no further than the Opera House restaurant. Here, you’ll find not just a meal, but a celebration of community, resilience, and the enduring spirit of Miami. Congratulations to Opera House on your triumphant evolution. Your journey from rough times to becoming a five-star establishment is inspiring. May you continue to thrive, delight, and bring people together for many more years to come.
Drinks, app, and all around atmosphere here is always great. I’ve become a regular here the past couple years and love it every time. Jodie is my favorite bartender and is always the best.
The bartender was fantastic! Definitely service with a smile. She was quick to greet us and explain the menu. Food was really good and it was a great atmosphere.
LOVE THIS PLACE Service is always great, prices are good for Miami and the food is always good and hot and fresh. The complaints about tipping, if you don’t tip 18 percent you’re not a good person. I always tip 20-25 so I’m not concerned about having to provide an appropriate tip, it exists this way because these girls need our tips to feed themselves AND they are working hard for it! Will continue to be back weekly for lunches and will continue to tip above 18%!!!!!
We didn't eat so I can't comment on the food. The drinks were good. The prices were good compared to everyone else around here. The bartender was very attentive and customer aware. We will be back here while we are in Miami, as the Biscayn Bay Marriott is horrible, thats where we are staying.
The Opera House is an absolute gem! From the moment you step in, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, setting the perfect tone for an amazing experience. A special shoutout to Carmina and Jesse, whose exceptional service truly stood out. They went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect, displaying a level of professionalism and care that’s hard to come by. Their attention to creating a welcoming and vibrant environment added so much to the overall experience. Whether you’re here for a casual visit or a special occasion, you’re in great hands. Highly recommended!
This the best sports bar in Edgewater! Service is also great and food is very good. Good selection of draft beer too. Definitely one of our go to spots in Miami!
Good spot bar, great ambience, excellent service with pretty bartenders girls...Great place to chill!!
I’ve seen this place for years but it never really caught my attention. I ended up here one day with no expectations — but honestly, I really liked it. The server was very nice, the outdoor area is a great spot to watch a game, and the food was good. Portions were fair and the prices weren’t bad at all. It’s not Michelin star quality, but it was definitely better than expected. A solid spot for a casual lunch and a couple of beers, especially when the weather’s nice
Valeria was amazing!! Her service was definitely memorable. Because of her I will be coming back. Food was amazing and worth every bite
Delivering a package here is simple. Valet lets you park your car off to the side for a few minutes and they also have a parking lot for delivery drivers to park and head to receiving area.
Dinner here last night with a group of 15 and had an excellent time. Food was great and service was even better. Valeria was fast, kind and funny. She really made the night special for us. We would definitely be back if it wasn’t our last night in Miami. Thanks valeria!!!
Tasted like a 3.7 star the burger meat is terrible we had 24 and western sorry but all other ingredients were lovely! The croutons for the side salad with the ribs (which were melt in the mouth) were less gritty than the burger meat! I wish I'd had the ribs. The fries were good the sweet potato (with western burger fries were sloppy and cold.. unfortunately my burger disintegrated as well on the 24 burger the bun is not fresh or firm enough. Sorry guys like the spot and server was lovely but just not there today.
The Opera Burger (Pictured), was, a perfect end to a wonderful afternoon in Miami. I enjoyed the ample outdoor seating, awesome people watching, and, the food was really good. Service was a bit slow at first, however, once the order was taken, everything went smoothly. Great place for a bite to eat, and, a bit of atmosphere. Instagram: @keeptheeats
Pros: l loved their garden salad! Had I known it was going to be so good, I would have just ordered the salad. Great service. Cons: The salmon was okay. I usually get it blackened. Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great food I had the chili and cuban egg rolls. Staff was great and took the time to write hand written instructions on how to use city transit for our south beach trip.
Nice place to bring family and friends to watch sports and listen to good music. The food is good. BUT Ower NEEDS NEW TABLES THEY ARE RUSHED and can Injure people.’ Don’t how they pass inspection.
Chicken Asian salad was yummy. Fun location and bar tender was awesome. Also the hours are wrong they were open at like 1pm. I was.walking by the park and saw ppl.
Randomly stopped in for lunch. Ordered their Grandpa Pie (pizza) crust was weird, like dry & weird. The sauce was way too salty. Cheese was okay. I got down like 3 pieces & gave the remaining to the server to give away to someone. The service was great in spite of the food quality. The girl (didn't get her name) was very good. Working hard & gave great service what else do you need, well better food but. The service was okay.
Was recommended to this establishment by our Uber driver. When we arrived it took a minute to get us our drinks and we had to ask to put in a food order. Overall the food was very good. We weren’t checked on very often. I got the western burger and my wife got the garden salad. Portions were good and tasted good. Only complaint is that the tip is automatically added to you bill. Yep, 18%.
The woman working the bar was also working the few tables, she was pleasant and fairly quick with the orders, had a big smile which also helps when working with people. The food was good, chicken wings and some asian noodles. Would probably order take out next time though.
quick unplanned dinners at the opera house never disappoint. we love moses!!!! he is the best waiter there, he gets five stars!
Got dinner and a few drinks here, staying at the hotel across the street. Awesome park and waterfront next door. Lots of TV's. There was one server in god mode servicing non-stop, another that was a lot slower, but still very nice. The food was good, slightly above average bar food. Great ambiance. Not sure what others are saying about the music, it was average volume classic hits. Would come back here.
Great location that is perfect to relax and people watch. Atmosphere is relaxing. We had 3 kinds of egg rolls, Cuban, reuben, and cheese stake. Cheesesteak was the best. Each app came with a side. Onion rings were not good. Fries were good and sweet potatoe fries were excellent. Also did an order of coconut shrimp and a Ceasars salad. Salad didn't come pretossed and the bowl was overflowing to thr point adding and mixing dressing was a mess, but it was good for what it was. The coconut shrimp were alright. I wouldn't order them again. We will order the cheesteak egg rolls and sweet potatoe fries to go for dinner. Waitress was kind and attentive.
Food, service and atmosphere were great. However it was too expensive: $81 for two sandwiches and two drinks plus a fixed 18% gratuity was outrageous for lunch. Additionally the unisex bathroom off the bar was dark, smelly and nasty. I'd expect a establishment of this caliber to have cleaner restrooms.
Cute outdoor bar with good food and atmosphere for the most part. The staff are very nice and fun. However the crowd at night can get rough and there are a lot of tourists. The bathrooms are typically unclean on weekends and the music is always loud and blaring.
Food was excellent but took a very long time. Service was awful. Unless you're sitting at the bar drinking you get treated like you don't exist. Seems like it would be a fun place to drink but definitely not the greatest place to sit down and eat.
The ambience was nice, the staff was good but my main and only issue was the food. The food was well seasoned but my rice from my jambalaya was crunchy like it was undercooked.
Overall decent for what it is, little bigger slection on the menu than expected but good options, busy intersection so a bit noisy.
My order was good (Steak bowl) but my friend ordered nachos and it was in a BOWL piled high where you couldn't get to the chips.... instead of spread out on a plate
They were only serving fried foods and pizza. Per what out waitress said. The food was hot and tasty but all 4 of us had our foods served to us a different times. By the time i got my pizza everyone else at the table was finished eating. As well, they add an automatic 18% gratuity and we were only a group of 4.
Honestly the food was a massive wait but worth it. The outside seating is really unsafe though, please replace the tables and chairs. There was a nasty smell too. The best thing bout this place was the *entertainment* we got to watch while waiting for our food....
The views at the Opera House are amazing. You can see a marina, downtown and South Beach from inside the establishment. Margaret Pace Park is very peaceful and people remain active via running, dog-walking, and public exercise including basketball and volleyball. The downside is the bar/restaurant downstairs. At night, it gets pretty noisy and the vibe changes in a downward direction.
Service was okay, she was very nice and sweet but didn't check on us very often. The food was good, kind of just your standard bar and grill fare. What makes this place almost unbearable is the fact that they blast rap and hip hop music (with pretty inappropriate lyrics) at a deafening volume that makes it so that you can't even carry on a conversation with the person sitting right next to you.
Great location, but the wait staff was not attentative and just rude. Happy to leave a substandard review which is well deserved.
First let’s start with the ambiance.Such a great location but design is lacking , music too loud, different tables, chairs, candles, is this a sport bar? Or a place with candles and relaxing music? I understand it’s a bar, but its so weird, food its kinda mediocre, dont go if ypu want to have a nice meal or a glass of wine to chill!
Two stars for the great location and decent food. Otherwise, this place has a sketchy, unimpressive crowd. The server also didn’t warn me that the tip was included so I mistakenly tipped 38%. Didn’t realize it until it was too late. Don’t let it happen to you.
The first time I came, I was with a man. I had a female waiter and she made sure I was good. I came alone today and made eye contact with a few waiters and noooo service. The irony is I live here at Opera Tower but that shouldn’t matter. I’m just like … I knoooow you see me. I’m not hard to miss. 🤷🏾♀️
Food looked a lot better than it tasted. Just about everything was really bland. The lemonade was okay but it tasted like water with a lemon wedge. Overall dissatisfied and wouldn’t go back.
They lied to us; we arrived during 'happy hour' when drinks were supposed to be half-price. We ordered a couple of mojitos and were served without Rum. When I asked for the bill, they didn't provide a receipt and just asked for cash. Very poor experience."
Great bar food and atmosphere, clown bar service. They are so lost. Ask for Jody. Only one with a clue. They will refuse to serve you if you pay by credit card fyi after couple drinks because cannot take tips under the table. Food is good, the incompetent bartenders at least make good drinks. Happy hour great prices!
I was here a few times since I live nearby. I didn't like any of the appetizers/food items I ordered here but I recognize it's a good place for having a beer or a drink with friends. The vibe is like a sports bar. Seems like they use either used or not good quality oil for fried food.
1. I pity the ones who praise food in this bar, especially burgers. Seems the only burgers they had before were homemade by themselves. I ordered Western Burger and I agree with reviews below. Worst one I ever had. Dry, blend in taste, big for no reason (onion rings) . And veggies put aside 2. Music too loud. Like it is a disco for teens. 3. On top of it, please be prepared for loud crowd watching sports. Too loud, too emotional and barman shouting on par with them. 4. Service. A girl really helped me today. Really nice. But I really got used that every place in Miami offers you water. Straight ahead. Seems , not here. 5. Included Service charges must be banned on nation wide level. If you charge it mandatory, put a big notice in menu and be humble enough not to ask more. I will still go here for drinks occasionally. But the place definitely needs improvement from all sides. For lunch time there are much better options around.
Normally a great time, and I live very close by. I had some out-of-town guests and sadly the waitress didn’t speak English and did not know the menu at all. Every time we asked a question, she walked away to ask somebody else the answer even at the end when we asked if we could have some ice cream with our dessert, she stopped and looked at the menu to see if ice cream was offered As far as the food: the ribeye steak was close to hamburger quality. And the jambalaya was dry and lifeless, even after smothering it with hot sauce. Overall, not a good night for this place. Please management pick up. I normally sit at the bar and the bartender is amazing. But I promise you I’m not making this stuff up.
Ever since Yelvis left this place has gone downhill. I love it when they tell you a drink special is 10.00 then you pay and and it's 15 a drink. I miss the old opera house. So sad
This place is just a few blocks north of the Adrienne Arsht Theater, adjacent to the Margaret Pace Park (by the sea): a nice location, although parking is difficult to find. The layout is particular and nice: an outdoor small sports bar all under a big arch. However, besides the fact that it may not be appealing to people who suffer the Floridian heat, the bar is very small, and you can’t have a good view of the TVs from all the seats – if watching a sport game is the reason you’re there. We only ordered a couple of beers and mozzarella sticks. They don’t have a wide selections of beers at all, and the mozzarella sticks were just the worst I had (so we decided not to order anything else). The waitress was nice and prices are decent considering the area, but the “Voluntary Gratuity” on the check really upset me: sure, generally speaking I don’t like at all the concept of the nowadays common “automated gratuities” on the bills, but calling voluntary a “mandatory” gratuity is just too stretched. Needless to say: I won’t go back.
Terrible food. It tasted like bad quality frozen dinner from the supermarket. It probably was
We just sat at the outdoor bar for a quick bite and a couple of beers, as it was a very hot day and we did a lot of walking in downtown. They don’t have a lot of choices for draft beers and the mozzarella sticks were as “industrial” as they can be. The worst part and the reason I won’t be back is that not only they add the tip automatically (lot of places do that in Miami but I expect to be told, it’s about transparency and honestly), not only they don’t tell you hoping you miss it and add more, but the most ridiculous thing is that they typed “voluntary gratuity” to the tip they added without asking. At least don’t call it “voluntary”, considering it was a 20% tip forced on the customer – again – without informing.
Asked for ribs an loaded potatoes.. when I say dry? A the “ loaded potato “ was a loaded ROCK!!!! got a different meal… asked for a well done burger and when I say they couldn’t even get that right I was over it
Can the owner’s “biker gang” quit parking their bikes at the entrance and revving the engines? Thanks. And hire a manager. This has to be the worst ran restaurant/bar. But keep drinking at your establishment and watch as your servers sit on their phones.
They served me a rotten salad then came back with just lettuce then I said how about the rest of the salad they took it away and tried to charge me . Hot mess and gross . Don’t go here
Horrible!!!!! Definitely not worth the $!!! I ordered a $25 pizza, they gave my food to the wrong table, then tried to give me the pizza AFTER the people that had it were touching and breathing all over it!!!!!!
Food was decent but the music was ridiculously loud. Couldn’t even talk to my friends. If I wanted to go to a club, I would have.
Bartenders are very unfriendly and rude. They have an entitled attitude and will disrespect you if you complain about it. As we simply asked to have separate bills in a group of people, the bartenders made a a big deal about it which, ended on name calling and physically slapping my wife’s hand for grabbing the bill to just end the altercation. Highly unprofessional so if you are coming to have a good time and experience in Miami. Do your self a favor and skip this place is not worth checking out!
Customers allowed to stand outside the restaurant, upwind of other customers smoking pot and nobody cares! In fact the guy is friends with someone who works here . Not to be done in public, and never in front of kids! My grandkids were there when I confronted him, the staff did nothing to support me, and this time, I didn't feel like going to jail over a stoner fool!!!
Came here late because everything else was closing and although I didnt expect much, I was disappointed. Staff was weak on service and the chicken picata was just not picatta...overloaded with capers and the chicken was just pan seared. The place feels dirty as hell and yea just gross. Huge ripoff... they include an 18% "voluntary tip"! If i didnt feel bad for the waiter I would've just scratched it off and left less
I am not a picky eater, but the food and service was so appalling/ disgusting, I’m actually taking the time to write this review. I ordered an artichoke dip and that itself, should have been my cue to cancel my entree and leave, but I wanted to give it another try. My entree was bland and overall, terrible. I couldn’t finish it and I would not even eat it again if I were starving. For what I paid, even if it was cheap (which it wasn’t ) , I’d save my money and go elsewhere.
The fried chicken was probably a week old - hard as concrete. Not edible. The pizza for the two kids was black burnt like an old digiorno from 7-11. Do not recommend here for food. Maybe just drinks?
Bartender gave my card to someone else and then proceeded to tell me I had to pay someone else’s tab. To top it off, they WONT answer the phone.
Worst burger ever and very small salad! Don't waste your time there. I gave one star just because of the personel, they were very nice and friendly.
I visited the restaurant today with my family. The waitresses were very polite and helpful but the food was not very nicely presented and my wife sent the food back because the bacon in the sandwich was old and unpalatable. We couldn't use the toilet because it stunk worse than an old train station. The fans have never been cleaned, they look like a ghost town. When we paid, they wanted to charge us for everything, but we got a small discount. Conclusion, we can not recommend the restaurant because it is too expensive for the service and quality, too bad! I love Miami
Our waitress was fantastic but the food was inedible. We left most over. 4 different dishes.
Stopped by here for some food and beers- what a mistake. The server was taking forever(which is understandable-i was a server I know how it is) but she was so rude and we basically had to order everything when she would appear or else we’d have to wait literally 30 minutes for her to “check on us”. On top of that the food was basically inedible. The loaded nachos were soggy not one crispy piece to be found (had to use a spoon) and the meat tasted worse than taco-bell(this is an insult to Taco Bell). The fried calamari were straight rubber(almost choked) and not even the breading could save it- zero flavor. The tab came out extremely expensive for the worse service and food of my life. Too bad it’s a great location, but so many better choices. Oh and be careful because opera tower has shootings and trash people vacationing 24/7
Everything about this place is horrible. It's dirty and poorly managed. Ordered ribeye MR and it came extremely well done. Cheese pizza for 2 kids was burnt. Pasta was over cooked. Everything about our order was wrong but the waiter never came to check back on us. I had to keep getting up to look for the one waiter handling all the tables. Oh and don't even attempt to use the restroom 🤢.
Maybe this is common for downtown Miami but I did a simple to go order and they did a forced 18% tip. When I asked why the line item that says "voluntary" is forced, the waitress just said it was a downtown tax.... then when I asked for the receipt she changed her story and said she "has to charge the tip". Dishonest business practices. Stay away
Food has a hair on it which we did not complain because it was almost at the end, we asked to hold on the drinks order as we knew happy hour was starting soon, he order the food first and told him about the drinks 45 minutes later and he still charged full price, also we would have to call him so many times before he would come around, obviously after all this, we asked to remove the “VOLUBTARY tip” which he said no…. A full. Claim of my bill will be done on my card side as that’s not what I agreed to pay
The extremely loud and vulgar/explicit music made it impossible to talk or hear. About ten minutes after we sat down the music turned up to what I can only assume is max volume blasting the worst music ever made. The staff were all friendly and helpful it's a shame that the atmosphere is literally intolerable.
First of all, the customer service was absolutely awful. Please hire some waitresses that not only speak English, but can also tell the difference between a vegetable and a onion ring. No introduction, no name, nothing. Walks right up to the table, addresses my husband and I by saying “What do you want?”. My husband asked me a sweet tea, and was given a lemonade. The lemonade is basically water with a added lemon wedge. I ordered mozzarella strips..and never received them. My steak was bland, no seasoning whatsoever of any kind. It was mainly fat, which was disgusting. My waitress did not ask how I would like my steak cooked. My husband ordered Honey Garlic Salmon which was burnt and dry. We each asked what’s the vegetable of the day and was told onion rings??????? The food definitely was prepared from frozen. Definitely the worst experience I’ve had from coming in from out of town. How is this place even open? The woman behind the bar, tatted sleeves, was lovely. She was the only highlight of my day.
Walked in and was watched by three employees. 2 women, one male. They clearly watched me sit down. And for minutes was not only stared at, but ignored. Got up and asked male bartender for a server. Continued to recieve the rudest stares and ignored for over 10 minutes. Got up and left. Do yourself a huge favor and just don't go.
There’s a reason this place has 3.7⭐️, and it’s because they don’t seem to ever have a manager on duty. Case in point: I went here on a Saturday night and left my tab open by leaving my debit card with the bartender. When I went to close out, I got somebody else’s card back; it turns out the bartender gave my card to one of her regulars (how does someone make this mistake unless they’re drunk or high?). There was no manager on duty that night, nor the following night when I called asking if my card had been returned yet. When I finally went back on Monday night, after the card had been returned, there was still no manager, but I was assured that of course the charges incurred from them closing the wrong tab with my card would be refunded within 2-3 days. Fast forward 9 days later, I called them once again because I still hadn’t been refunded. They let me talk to a manager this time, but of course the manager didn’t speak English. Finally, a bartender said she would make the bartender who made the mistake personally Zelle me for the erroneous charges, but that never happened, either. I’m never expecting much from a sports bar, but it’s terrible business ethics for them to dismiss something like this, and even worse that they don’t appear to have any higher authority above the bartenders to rectify the situation. For all I know, they pull this trick all the time, to give their regulars free drinks on someone else’s dime.
We sit down on a table. The server took 20 min to come to the table and take drink orders. We ordered two beers and fried calamari. It took another 20 min to bring the beers and 35 min for calamari. We wanted to order a pizza and server said ok. He did not place order and he said there was another server who will take the order. So another 15 min passed and order wasn’t placed. Its been about 45 min that we ordered a simple cheese pizza. And still waiting. Definitely not coming back to this place.
If you order to go, check food before you leave. My order was not what I paid for. There is no way to contact anyone. Do not eat here. Do not spend your money, service is sort of ok. But, no matter what your order is, they will serve you whatever they feel like apparently. Do not
Service sucked, bathroom was nasty, and food was underwhelming. Skip it. Went there on a whim when my phone died so I couldn’t read reviews to avoid it. Ordered two pizzas, a plain cheese and chicken Parmesan— nothing about it was Parmesan. After she pointed to an QR code for menu except my phone was dead. Ordered an old fashioned from their existing menu (took the chance because it was one of the cocktails they feature in the menu) and one guest ordered a glass of Chardonnay. It wasn’t an old fashioned but instead a whiskey with simple syrup and too much ice. So I explained it wasn’t good and asked for a Cabernet instead. She took a while and came back to say “we don’t have a Chardonnay” [pause because what did you serve the other guest?] - so I clarified Cabernet as a red wine. The pizzas were hot just not flavorful and a lot of flour in the pan. We ate a little bit and she brought the check…no red wine. I said nevermind and she said “he is making it now.” Who drops off the bill before delivering the items? The red wine delivers and of course there’s lipstick on the glass. I did not drink it. And these tabs that include 18% gratuity should at least match that level of effort. Hosting a guest for a work outing is the only reason I don’t ask for a manager to fix this rubbish. Wish there was another option available when we went there…Klaw was fully committed and Casadonna wasn’t open for dinner until later.
The food was absolutely terrible. Southern fried chicken sandwich, Cuban egg rolls, and cheese pizza were not good. The oil they cook in tastes old. The eggrolls had pizza/italian sausage in them? Yuck. After we got our food, the server didn’t come back for about 30 minutes and was chatting it up with another table (likely friends) so I kept picking at my food hoping to like it. I picked at about 25% of it leaving 75% untouched. When the server came back finally, I told her I did not like the food. When she told the manager, he came and looked at my plate and began shaking his head in disgust because I had eaten some. They did take the cost of my meal off the bill however, the manager never came over to apologize or discuss what was wrong. He was also so mad that I asked for money off that he was slamming things around and literally stomping around through the restaurant. I couldn’t believe a manager was acting that way over the cost of one meal when there were four of us there eating and drinking. Very unimpressed with the food and service!
I went to this place only for 2 beers since I live in the opera tower for more than 10 years, and is the first time that I have a problem like this. We asked the lady in the bar if she could please turn up the music a little bit (since I paid for the music and they had turn it off) and her reaction was agresively rude, then I asked for her name and she started to insult me. I understand they were closing the place but that doesn't justify her reaction. Based on her attitude and behavior my girlfriend started to record with her phone and this lady (that never identified herself) came on to my girlfriend shouting at her with an aggressive attitude to take out her phone and forbid her to record, when she is in her right to record whatever she wants. While this the supposed manager or owner told me that he would call the police to take me to jail, and when the police came we talked to them and explained the situation and showed them the videos and they said they would talk to the employees only. Which I don't think is right because there was aggression from this employee... I just hope that the true owners of this place take action in the matter.
