Alfredo was amazing. Alfredo made me feel welcome from the moment I walked through the door. He even recommended great food choices. The ambience was really nice, chill and laid back. A great spot to go for a date night. I'll definitely will be stopping by again when in town.
UPDATE (01.04.2020): They did it again! EVERYTHING we ordered was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS and the service was SPECTACULAR! Highly, highly recommend! Service was fantastic. Anthony (“Tony”) and Alfredo were absolutely amazing! The lobster bisque was scrumptious. The fillet mignon was spectacular. My son devoured the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. The Sunday special meat lasagna is to die for as is the Panna Cotta and the Sorbetto Misto. Highly recommend!
I just went here on date night and it was amazing. Alfredo one of the brothers who owns the restaurant went above and beyond. We learned about the different types of wine, the history of the business and we felt like VIPs. The food was amazing, I had the Ravioli Ripiene Di Carne with mushrooms and I loved it. My boyfriend had the Cabonera Di Mare and he loved it. We had a bottle of wine and 2 slices tiramisu. It was that good! Planning to come back soon.
Excellent family run restaurant with delicious in-house made pastas and desserts. This is my second time eating there, and several of my family members are regulars. The homemade pastas are delicious. This time four of us had one of non pasta specials: a seared filet of Corvina with sautéed veggies (zucchini, squash, peppers) and mashed potatoes. The fish was a very generous portion at least 6 oz if not more, very fresh and perfectly seasoned with a lemony wine sauce, with almonds on top. Very satisfying and filling entrée and reasonably priced at $26. We also ordered appetizers: Salmon Carpaccio and the grilled octopus. The grilled octopus was very interesting, nicely grilled and seasoned and on a bed what I think was mashed potatoes flavored lightly with chorizo and served with fried Capers on top. One of our party who says she does not like octopus tried it absolutely loved it. In addition to the homemade desserts, the other great thing about this restaurant is the owners are hands on you feel like you're eating at someone's home. Reasonable prices, nice quiet atmosphere, superb service and consistent fresh gourmet food. You cannot go wrong here.
You can find this unassuming restaurant tucked away in a small strip mall on Miami. We were greeted warmly as we entered the restaurant. First impressions: Quiet, clean, simple, and elegant design. The service was excellent and professional. Garlic rolls are served as you wait for your meal. The food was cooked well and had great flavor and portion sizes. The dessert was also elegant and delicious. Would recommend this location for a nice intimate dinner.
It was a little dressier than I expected so felt a bit underdressed. The staff welcomed us and everything about the experience was wonderful. The garlic rolls came fresh out of the oven and are baguette style with a delicious garlic and oil blend. My husband had the chicken parmesan and said it was better than our favorite place in NY. I had the spaghetti bolognese which was absolutely perfect. The house Chianti was a treat. We will be back next time we are in the neighborhood.
I had the pleasure of hosting A private birthday dinner for a family member and I knew that I could not choose any other place. The attention to detail, sleepkness and the overall elevated feel of the place makes it perfect for a little celebrating or a dinner with your significant other. The entire staff was accommodating and went above and beyond to make us have an amazing time. The food is to die for, every single menu choice kept somehow surpassing the other. Can you believe it? Overall I would gladly return here every single time I’m in town.
The restaurant is a hidden gem. At first we were a bit unsure because of the surrounding area where it is located but the restaurant was AMAZING. Their pastas were delicious and authentic, each one better than the last. The pistachio cheesecake dessert was to die for and is made fresh by the owners mother. They really do go the extra mile to make sure you are well taken care of and feel special. We had visited about 5 years ago and it is the same brothers who own this location and have opened another in downtown. One of my favorite restaurants in Miami.
This restaurant is a gem! I love Italian food and this is the real deal! Their pasta is made from scratch and delicious. The service is beyond wonderful! All the food is fresh. They only make what is going to be consumed for the day. The servers and owners are mother and son and they go the extra mile to make you feel special! I will definitely be back time and again!
Honestly, this is the best Italian food I’ve had in a very long time. The service, hospitality, cleanliness and most of all the food was absolutely delicious. We had the carrot soup, the salad with figs, calamari and pappardelle truffle pasta - oh and finished with the tiramisu. Highly recommend! Am already thinking about what I’ll be ordering the next time we come.
The four of us loved all of our dishes. Even the chicken parm was juicy and delicious. Pictured is the squid ink pasta, and the sausage and broccoli stuffed ravioli
Great food. Great atmosphere. Eversince this restaurant open my family and I have been coming to enjoy the gread food is offered at this locale. We hightly recoment it.
So incredibly delicious! We had the chicken parmesan and Fiocchi Di Pera, and chicken Alfredo (they made it special for us, since it was not on the menu.) Owner was so friendly and helpful. Desserts were out of this world. We will be back the next time we're in Miami.
This was my favorite Italian restaurant in Miami when I was living there 2 years ago. I just came back to the city and had to come to confirm is my favorite Italian restaurant in the whole US. Very intimate place, lights and decoration are delicate, service is professional and the food is amazing.
Everything was delicious. My absolute favorite was the INSALATA DI FICHI!!! I mean just speechless! It is so deliciously perfect. Will be going back soon.
They might not be known for their desserts, but they should be. I asked la señora how she made the pistachio cheesecake with strawberry filling, and she broke it down for me step by step. And she offered to teach me with lessons if I'd be around on Saturday. Next level service and food at this place, can't recommend it highly enough.
Red Carpet is a local Italian restaurant. The pasta is housemade and Mama makes the delicious desserts. The owners and staff are very nice. It's a short Lyft/Uber drive from our airport hotel. It's in a small strip mail. It's worth the dining experience!
Best service!!!! and food!!! Ever!!! Peaceful quiet place. Clean and beautiful
very delicious food, friendly service.. great recommendations
I drove straight from the airport to eat here! It is my favorite restaurant in Miami. I'm a foodie and it is truly exquisite and on point! They are so kind too! See you in a few weeks when I'm back,!!
The best Italian restaurant. Ran by a mother and her son. They were too cute. The food was great! Please stop by and show them some love.
Excellent!! The food was delicious, taste and presentation was great. I was impressed on the food flavor, I will definitely come back soon. Atmosphere very calm and relax!! Thank you Red Carpet!!
This little place hiring in Miami Little Havana neighborhood is the perfect place to enjoy an authentic Italian food lunch or dinner, you will enjoyed a real italian taste by far better than others Italian restaurants of our city without having to spend a great amount of money. The service is excellent as it is the variety of wine and food offered , during the day the parking spaces are not as many as they are at night since they shere the space with others establishments but there is plenty of street parking spaces
The crab and lobster sauce ravioli was delicious.. The chicken parmesan with fettuccini pasta was on point. Awesome service and cozy spot. Loved it, and will deffinitely come again.
This is our 4th time at Red Carpet and we continue to love it! All the pastas, meat dishes and salad and tiramisu are so so good. Please keep up the good work!
By far the best Italian food I have had in Florida. I've been to different Italian places all throughout the state, from the panhandle to the keys. This one is the best! The service is second to none and the caprese salad is to die for
WOO HOO!! So we ordered three different pastas - One was the lobster ravioli, is was very good, the next was Pappardelle with porcini mushrooms and a light cream sauce, which was so very very good! Our third dish was a Fucchi (mini beggars purse looking pasta) filled with a gorgonzola and pear mix in a white cream wine sauce.
Very nice. Food was wonderful and so was the service I would highly recommend this restaurant. I'm in Miami for about a month or so visting family and definitely will make it a point to frequent the Red Carpet Italian restaurant.
Top servís, the food is just amazing and the waiters are always nice, and quick. The food is always hot and ready, and the desserts here amazing. 10/10 I would recommend this restaurant !!!
Loved the food. We were a group of 8 and everyone loved the starters, pasta and the branzino. Desserts were great. Service was good and staff was courteous.
Who would have known this hidden Italian gem was nestled between a random Home Depot and Versalle. The staff is friendly and attentive. Pasta came out hot and fresh. Why go to Italy when you have this.
I had a salad (mixed greens) and chicken parmesan. The salad was fresh, big, and was more than just a bowl of lettuce. The chicken was cooked and seasoned to near perfection. The pasta that came with the chicken was cooked perfectly and topped with an olive oil garlic mix, which had plenty of garlic- I didn't miss the marinara. Service was very attentive and very polite. When I'm back in town I'll eat here again.
We not only had the best service but the food was amazing too. I highly recommend this place! You can’t miss the flavors and the quality you’ll find. I love how simple and surprising it was.
Best Italian food in South Florida. I eat out 90% of the time, and I can say that this charming little place is amazing! You wouldn't be able to tell from the outside, but the inside is beautifully decorated with nice lighting. They really created a nice ambiance. You would never know you were in Little Havana, which is kinda like the left armpit of Miami. Portions are more European-like. So, order appetizers, dinner entree, and dessert bc you can. The owners are the servers. They will remember you, and they are very warm and welcoming.
This is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is delicious and the owners and staff are friendly and always accomodating. Great ambiance and service. Desserts are homemade and the lasagna is delicious.
Red Carpet is a hidden gem. I had the chicken parmigiana and tasted my wife's Fiocchi De Pera. Both were extremely tasty. Relaxed atmosphere and great service. I will be back.
Great little restaurant in Coral Gables. Hard to believe that this place is mostly empty for lunch, as the food is absolutely delicious and the lunch special is quite attractive. I’m a foodie and trust me, if you like light Italian food that doesn’t make you feel heavy and tired afterwards, this is the place.
Excellent authentic upscale Italian dining. Excellebt quality and taste food was fresh and flavorful. The pumpkin ravioli with amaretto cream sauce was exquisite and the fettuccine with cream sauce was made with a nice sharp cheese.
Love the gluten free pasta! We've been there several times and all the dishes have been superb. My daughters love the pumpkin ravioli! Great atmosphere and great service!
Delicious. Most amazing Italian food I have experienced. Customer service was spectacular as well. We had the pumpkin ravioli, veal tortellini, and fried veal.
The food and the service were both incredible. Highly recommended. Alfredo the waiter, which his mom makes some of the dishes, is awesome. One of the best service ever.
I have been going to this restaurant for years now and it has never failed to exceed my expectations. Not only is the food phenomenal, but the service is unparalleled. I have never tried anything from their menu that I didn’t love. I highly recommend their Sacchettoni Ripieni di Tartufo e Formaggio and any of their soups - they are scrumptious. Stop by and have a bite and I guarantee you won’t regret it!
Red Carpeting Italian was not my choice for a last minute date evening planned. My far better fifty percent and I were preparing at consuming in the Gables at an extremely highly suggested Italian location on The Mile. When we showed up, flat-out, we involved recognize probably appointments need to have been worked with to avoid a 2 hr wait. For a short minute an inner panic attack started to unravel all the while my managing self started to look a different concession. While looking for \"the following ideal thing\" I found Red Carpeting Italian, a few miles away as well as with equally as great evaluations and marks as our initial destination. Readily I scheduled a LYFT and also held my take a breath. Upon arrival, Red Carpet Italian was nothing to boast around from its plain storefront exterior and also shopping center area. When getting in, absolutely nothing fancy caught my eye. Open up seating, ordinary decor as well as nowhere virtually as preferred as our first encounter. Right away I believed to myself \"did Yelp fail me?\" Within seconds of walking via the door we were welcomed by a friendly face and after that our waitress sat us down. From the actual moment we sat down, the solution was beyond amazing. Friendly, knowledgable, considerate and also all around pampered. Alfredo; involved discover later was one of the owners, satisfied us like we were the only patrons in the dining establishment. He discussed the entire food selection and also specials in information and also all the while with a smile and also power that made me really feel excellent about diverting the evenings experience. The first plate we got was the Red Carpeting Antipasto. It featured a selection of meats, cheeses, and a residence salad with an effectively complemented dressing. Extremely nice presentation and all around layout. I wouldn't suggest it if one of you is vegan or vegan as its more meat than cheese unless you are a predator like myself. In general it is a safe starter plate. Following our appetizer, we each got a different pasta meal that Alfredo suggested based upon parts as well as taste accounts. She got the Fiocchi d'amore pere e gorgonzola as well as I ordered the Linguine Nero ai Frutti di Mare. WOW! The flavors were charming. The mix of our plates, salted and also sweet, were incredible. At that moment we recognized we had located a gem. We remained in food comas however desired much more as we saw deserts while eating our major dishes. Ultimately we ordered deserts. We bought the guava cheesecake, the tarte de la nonna and also an espresso. The deserts were excellent. Not too sweet nor heavy. The coffee was an excellent ending to the entire experience. Alfredo couldn't have been a lot more friendly as well as passionate concerning offering us. We were the last to leave and he never rushed us. Rather offered us a short background on their dining establishment and also just how it was family members possessed and also operated.Last-minute date night was a huge success and Red Carpeting Italian has become our preferred Italian in all of Miami.
Best Italian food I’ve ever had! Great service, and the fact that two brothers have created this extraordinary place and joined forces with their mother (who makes excellent desserts) is a great story!
Highly recommended! Top Notch.. Excellence service, amazing food.. We found the restaurant on the internet and we got a great surprise.. It exceed our expectations. One of the best risotto and lamb chops I had, all was fresh an had a great taste.
First, as a person who also owns/operates a family business, I would like to send a message to my fellow Miamians who are cynical about everything. In this case, because the reviews are so spectacular, some will undoubtedly assume that the 5 star review is "manufactured". Nothing could be further from the truth so please visit this little gem of a restaurant and see for yourself. My girlfriend and I ate at the Red Carpet today and it was beyond spectacular. The food, the prices and most importantly, the personal attention/service was exactly as advertised. The owners are two (young) brothers (Mom also works there as does mine at my business) who are super nice and deserve whatever sucess may come their way. P.S. I wish I could recommend one delcious plate but my girlfriend and I tried 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 3 desserts and they were all amazing!! Take care, Mike & Mimi
I don't usually review restaurants but this restaurant is simply amazing ! Their food is always cooked perfectly and the customer service is great. It's a hidden gem ! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for really good Italian food
My entire family loved the appetizers and entre's. We love this family owned restaurant. They pay special attention to the details. Next time we are back in Miami we will definitely be making reservations.
Hidden gem on 8 street. From the moment you walk in to the impeccable restaurant you are greeted by the owners which make you feel extremely welcome. The service was right on point. Oh ....and the food. Our table ordered the filet mignon with risotto, carbonera de mare, and chicken parmigiana. All three were delicious with great portions..ro rake home. The desserts are homemade and absolutely delicious. Will definaetly be back. Must try..
I will make special trips from Sarasota to Miami to eat and feel like I’m at home at this place ! I have traveled a lot , but never had a place to eat like Red Carpet . I’ m a picky person but the red carpet is a welcoming, classy , clean place and food ..... I got dizzy from joy and tastefulness! Like they put a spell on me lol homemade desserts and steak melted in my mouth ! My favorite place in the world to eat and relax ! Thank you to owners Alfredo and Jorge and all staff !
I've only ordered from this place and it's phenomenal. The chicken Parmesan is one of the best I've eaten, hands down. We plan on visiting the restaurant location soon, as well as making this our go to Italian food delivery.
I love this place!! every time I go I have a three course meal everything from the salad I have the insalata Quattro colori, to the crabmeat ravioli so delish and the dessert cream puff profiteroles, with the chocolate mousse. Will continue to go the food is fresh and delicious.
Wonderful food I had an eggplant app and the delicious lamb! Cooked to perfection! Great service, I was shocked O got a reservation! Highly recommended.
First time excellent impression. The place is a gem hidden in Calle Ocho. Incredible service. The food is excellent. And the place is just right. It feels as if you are in somebody's home and they are hosting a party. The entire family is on top of your service but without being pushy. Will go back as long as it stays this way.
I was invited by a friend that lives in Miami and he said it was a very popular italian restaurant, and we wasnt disappointed. I had the veal parmigiana and spaghetti, tender veal, spaghetti al dente and great flavors. The server Jonathan is a very professional ans knowledgeable of the menu its ingredients as well of the selection of wines. Highly reccomend this restaurant.
The food here was absolutely delicious. The service was great as well. We had several dishes, including a mushroom pasta, beef, ravioli. Each one was packed with flavor. I have been to Italy many times before and can tell you that the mozzarella cheese appetizer we had was identical in it's flavor to the mozzarella in Italy. I will definitely return!
Our family of 4 enjoyed a wonderful meal at Red Carpet. Fresh Italian food that tastes of home cooking, this is definitely going to have repeat visits. We enjoyed everything we ate, and even 'heavier' dishes with cream-based sauces didn't feel like lead in our stomachs! Service was wonderful and personal and especially love that this is a family-run business.
We were fresh in town from the Keys and hailing from UK novices in Miami cuisine. The Red Carpet was close to our hotel and had good reviews. I can say this was the best place we have visited, service exceptional and the food was outstanding. I had the Octopus to start and veal ravioli both of which were gorgeous. My wife and daughter also commented how great the staff were and we would highly recommend. A great atmosphere and excellent authentic Italian.
It's difficult to be a vegetarian traveling in Miami but I had so many options here and the food was delicious, perfect portions, not too oily...and the staff was awesome. There were also options for my carnivore husband who loved the food too.
The pasta was AMAZING!!. The short Rib Ravioli is a must. We ordered take out and everything was packed carefully. The service while we waited for our order was great. The restaurant is open for dine in and they respect social distancing and all the required safety measures. The place is cozy and great for family groups
This is my new favorite Italian restaurant! Amazing homemade dishes, great wine at seasonal prices. Most of all, the service is extremely professional and attentive. Don't let the location and the exterior of the restaurant deter you. Inside is a pleasant, comfortable dinning atmosphere.
So you find the place using google maps... How can it have 5 stars on google, yeps and trip advisor ? Either they have a large family or there is something different about the place. Its kind of hard to find - cannot see it from the street - and the surroundings is not that impressive either. But then you order... Very good service, incredible food. If you are looking for large portions and fast service you are in the wrong place. All the dishes as made to perfection. There is a 'pace' to eat. Enough to enjoin calmly the meal and the company. It DOES deserve every star.
My family and I were in from out of town to go on a cruise. We wanted Italian food. We were skeptical at first from the look on the outside. As soon as we walked in we were greeted pleasantly and seated. Superb service and even better food! Hands down...... EXCELLENT! I'm Italian and I know good Italian food. And we were blown away at the freshness and the taste. Thank you!
Great place. The customer service is wonderful, they make you feel at home. It's a simple place but with a comfortable atmosphere. The food is especially delicious. The French bread they give you before with olive oil and Parmesan cheese is fantastic. I ate the gnocchi and it melted it my mouth delicious. I highly recommend the place.
I totally liked this place, the food is remarkable, and also the restrooms were tidy. It was a little chilly indoors, definatly was not the most enjoyable. The atmosphere is good. I will most definitely think about going back once more if I have the opportunity. Me and my friend ordered the salad and we were not disappointed. My one suggestion is to maintain the cool exterior. Cheers!
OMG!!! This place might look small but the food is divine! Had the risotto with squid ink and shrimp and it was so delicious!! A friend had the lamb and easily the best lamb i've ever had! It's definitely a family restaurant but the hospitality is unbeatable!
This restaurant was great. It's on the fringes of Coral Gables. When you approach the restaurant, you may think it doesn't belong where it is or that you must be in the wrong place. It is family owned and operated, so they are very attentive and polite. The taste of the food was delicious and the presentation was well done. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone that likes Italian food. I will be returning to Red Carpet.
I was in Miami recently for business and stopped into this new location. It was a personal recommendation from a good local friend and I am so glad that I stopped in. The decor, service, and menu were all top notch. I enjoyed the Frutti di Mare, which is not be to missed. Spectacular. The wine pairings that my server suggested were all on point. An excellent meal in all regards
LOVED this place. We were looking for a place to have some pasta since I can only eat soft food at the moment and we came across this place on yelp and I am so happy I did. The place was empty but I am sure it's because it was almost 9 PM. We were greeted and seated almost immediately. I can't remember our servers name but there were only 2 young guys there and both of them Were amazing.
What an amazing gem! A small Italian restaurant with an adorable atmosphere, Red Carpet Italian is owned by 2 brothers who go above and beyond to ensure you're satisfied with the experience from start to finish. They're willing to go off-menu to give you exactly what you want and the food is divine. I will definitely be returning, and you visit too.
This is an excellent family owned restaurant. The food is hand-crafted with everything including the pasta made from scratch. The owner serves you himself. Truly a great experience from start to finish. I had the linguine vongole and it was one of the best I've had. Good prices and good food. Definitely recommend.
I have been to this restaurant a few times. They are always consistent with good service and quality of food. I live near by and one day wanted some Italian food and googled Italian restaurants near me and red carpet came up. At first was a little skeptical, but after enjoying their delicious dishes, I knew I found one of the best Italian restaurant.
I would give this place more stars if I could! A lovely dining experience and great service. The food was wonderful and one of the more authentic places I’ve been that’s completely affordable. Would recommend this place 10 times over for anyone that’s local or visiting the area!
What a find!!!! The food is delicious!!! We had the calamari, spaghetti a la bolognese, and the chicken parm. All of it was above our expectations. The food was definitely worth coming here again and again. The calamari was perfectly cooked, the right size and thickness, and will ruin you for calamari anywhere else. The service was also on point. Yes, it looks like a hole in the wall from the outside but your experience will be the exact opposite!
Fantastic restaurant and lovely owners. Great portions and wine pairings! Always delicious and never disappoints! My favourite hidden gem in Miami by far! Highly recommend.
Had a wonderful italian dinner at this hidden gem. Food was amazing. Loved the pasta, dessert, and coffee. Servers were kind, attentive, and very professional. Atmosphere was very clean and calm. Highly recommend 👌
Love this place! I highly recommend enjoying a meal here. Cozy, peaceful decor. Excellent food, cooked to perfection. Wonderful customer service. Family owned and operated authentic Italian.
Very good food! Really nice people. Unfortunately, The building owner needs to upgrade the exterior through. Graffiti/shutters. We almost didn’t go inside because the exterior but we’re glad we did! The inside doesn’t match the outside. Inside needs warmer decorations too. Could be really romantic. Check it out though!
Fantastic service! Delicious food, I had the risotto al mojito. It's a small place cozy, very clean! Amazing Italian food. I don't understand why this place is not extremely full every day. In a time like this where finding good service is difficult they truly stick out for their amazing customer focus. I hope they continue to treat their customers this way.
Not much ambience here but the food is marvelous. Had the best steak I have ever had, a filet mignon that was cooked perfectly and so so tender. Had a side of Fettuccine Alfredo that was simply delicious. My other dining partners had traditional Italian and all raved about their meals.
Right off the bat the servers were extremely attentive and patient. We received our appetizers and from the first bite, my family and I were extremely impressed. Each of us ordered something different but everything was delicious. You cannot miss out on this amazing food.
I have not been to a better restaurant than this one and that's saying a lot. I'm a huge foodie from CT and found the food in Florida lacked authenticity. This Italian food was the best I've ever had. Not only was my meal amazing, but all 3 other entrees my party had were phenomenal. What made this even better was the service. The mother and son that catered to us that evening were beyond accommodating. We mistakenly made a reservation at the downtown location but cleared off a table for us. The mother took time to share the specials and desserts (which she made herself). We could feel her passion and love through her desserts. I will be traveling from Orlando to Miami JUST for them. Thank you for a wonderful meal.
Good service, Mike was attentive and diligent. The kitchen took a bit longer than expected, so if you're in a hurry for lunch this is not the place for a fast one. I ordered a risotto with rum and shrimp, and it was disappointing since the rice was not al dente, un fact, it was overcooked and the crematta was achieved by adding heavy cream. There's not a hint of rum anywhere and the only shrimp were the six on top. The dish was drizzled with a bit of shrimp sauce. So, it was basically a creamed rice with six shrimps on top, when the parmesan cheese was added, it was a bit salty. It was a pity. My friend asked for something that wasn't on the menu: gnocchi with shrimp in Alfredo sauce and it was delicious. I'll give them another chance but obviously I won't be ordering any risotto this time. Everything else around us looked so delicious. The dining room is clean and uncluttered. The wine list is not extensive but it's good and offers wines from Italy, Spain and Argentina.
Red Carpet is the result of the dream of two brothers who love Italian food, who have managed with effort and determination to create a restaurant where the aromas, textures and richness of Italian gastronomy are expressed in a selection of rich dishes made with fresh products of season and of the best quality. Served by its owners, each member of the family has a role in the restaurant work. The atmosphere is peaceful, the decor has no pretensions, simplicity reigns, the attention is warm and the gastronomic experience is incomparable through well presented dishes. Their Italian wine list is the ideal complement for creations that we recommend as Ravioli with Osobuco, Ravioli Ripieni di Zucca or Sirloin NY Style with reduction of red wine.. Located on Miami's famous 8th Street, Red Carpet is a place we recommend and to which we will return.
Went there last night with wifey. She had the chicken fungi, I had the chicken parmesan. I understand this is subjective but my chicken parmesan was too salty for my taste. I asked to send it back IF they thought they could provide a less salty version and they gladly took it back and attempted to reduce the salty taste but unsuccessful. Perhaps there are less salty individual ingredients that could be used? Also, the portion was less than what you'd expect at an Italian restaurant but- the description did say "A chicken breast" so can't blame them. That said the texture and breading were very good. Wifey's chicken fungi was fantastic so when we go back I will have that dish instead. Getting bread with Italian meal is fairly typical and two small rolls with olive oil and garlic/parsley came with meal. Tiramisu was fresh and very tasty. The other observation is that the seats were wooden and hard on the tush so after a while that became distracting. Conclusion: Pros: Excellent/friendly service, dishes are prepared with great care, elegant atmosphere but with a casual vibe, and a "customer is always right" attitude. Cons: Chicken parm is too salty for this patron, average portion for chicken parm, undersized complementary bread and hard wooden seats. All that said we WILL come back for the chicken fungi, it was delicious!
As a big foodie, this place is a wonderful hidden find and needs 40 times more recognition throughout Miami. I had the veal, which I had never had before and it was fantastic. I had the carrot soup also, which was a wonderful sweet appetizer. Well balanced and hearty meal. I will say that the prices are quite high, I spent 50 on my meal for one. If you’re willing to spend a bit extra for a hard to find food in Miami, you won’t be disappointed.
Is not my first time going to red carpet but it will be my last one. The food is always great n delicious. The owners mom is delightful but the waiter that they have there is terrible n inconsistent with his job. Never came by to ask how was the food. Thanks to the owners mom that provider us with service. And by the way her desserts are amazing. Hope they do something about it.
Went with my wife for a early dinner on a Friday and we had a nice time. The service was GREAT, Alfredo (owner) is very inviting host and his staff is quick with everything I needed. The food was good but still searching for my favorite plate. Coffee is good as well. Enjoy for yourself and give them a try you will not regret it.
Entrees were good, service was good, however the garlic rolls should not be allowed to be served. Homemade cheesecake was a one out of five. This was clearly not worth $85 for two.
So after seeing numerous 5 star reviews on this restaurant I decided to try this for myself. I made a reservation @OpenTable and for sure table was ready when promised. I think our reservation was one of the last for Saturday but not too late. After sitting and ordering drinks they quickly (almost rushed) they asked to take our order which we did. The lady recommended the soup of the day which was a creamy but light vegetable soup. It was on point. Also good was the ceasar salad a little bit overdressed but I actually like it like that. As for main courses, They also recommended the Lasagna which was the special of the day and also pointed out that the squid ink risotto with shrimp was one of their best sellers. We ordered both of those and also had a fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and the crab meat ravioli. Ravioli was good light and flavourful... the Lasagna was just okay something tou can easily make at home and same for the fettuccine. The down fall was with the risotto... bland, very undercooked and soupy. Very disappointing to say the least. I agree with some other reviews that I read about being overrated. I guess I came here with high expectations and Red Carpet couldn't deliver on quality and flavors. Overall... another nice but very normal Italian restaurant. Nothing crazy.
Very nice, cozy place...but their pasta is flavorless [at least the gnocchi and Fettuccini Alfredo we ordered]. The salad was great as was the Moscato and extremely nice service.
Very disrespectful, terrible service; very poor food quality; horrible, cold atmosphere and "decoration." They don’t have the slightest idea of how a slightly classy eatery (as they sell themselves) should be. I asked for an iced tea and they brought a 0.75 cents plastic container with sugar-filled bottle tea and planted it on the table. When I asked if they had real iced tea the guy (he said his own mother cooks the desserts, so he must be one of the owners) said to my face in a very mocking, imitation-like and disrespectful way with an unfriendly grimace: "No-we-don’t'-have-iced-tea" and laughed in my face. After that I stayed at the table with my company but did not ask for food. At the end, I risked and tried a plate of "vegetable cream" — that felt more cream than vegetable. Probably I feared the guy had spit in my food: he looks like the kind of person who does that. Terrible experience.
Nothing Italian there. No one from waiters or chiefs seems Italian. Meat platter has chorizo. Most of wines on the list are not from Italy. Grated parmesan is definitely Kraft or similar. Meat inside ravioli is of a very poor quality, tastes like mashed paper. I went to this restaurant because of good reviews, so now I feel obliged to leave a fair feedback.
I love the food in This restaurant before, but we went this week and it was the greatest disappointment ever. The linguine frutti de mare was improperly cooked and the spaghetti bolognese taste soooo bad. What happened ? I was a regular client, sorry I’m not going back, can you bring back your old recipe please!!
Dined in flavorless, nothing homemade about the mushroom gravy on the Chicken Marsala , or the crab ravioli it was burnt on the bottom, over powered acidity tomato sauce. Forget about Italian bread nonexistent, the dessert was some kinda of dried lemon cake. Phooey, overpriced for the food quality. Definite Ixnay.
