From the moment I stepped into SoBe Vegan in Fort Lauderdale, I was absolutely captivated! The atmosphere, the chic decor, the unbeatable beachside location—and best of all, an entirely PREMIUM plant-based/vegan menu! This is hands down one of the most impressive menus I’ve ever encountered, and every single bite was DELICIOUS. Dining here is an experience like no other. You can savor your meal while gazing at the beach, which only adds to the magic. I even shared my visit on TikTok, and it’s already racked up over 2,500+ views with countless comments from people saying this is one of their all-time favorite spots! It’s no surprise—SoBe Vegan is a true gem. With so many people transitioning to plant-based lifestyles, restaurants like this are a breath of fresh air. More and more of us are learning about the unimaginable horrors of the meat, dairy, and egg industries and realizing how they don’t align with our morals or ethics. SoBe Vegan offers a wide variety of mouthwatering, healthy, and environmentally friendly dishes that make dining here not just a meal, but a celebration of compassion and flavor. We couldn’t get enough of their mac and cheese, crispy mushroom sandwich, and chickpea tuna. And to top it all off, their soft serve was the perfect sweet ending—absolutely phenomenal! Every dish is packed with flavor and made with love. SoBe Vegan is a MUST-TRY for anyone, whether you’re vegan or just curious about incredible food. This place is setting the standard for plant-based dining, and I can’t wait to come back! 🌱✨
Banana pancakes were perfect, just the right amount of banana not overpowering 🍌 soft & filling & wonderful. Buffalo cauliflower was too spicy for me. Ask for a side of ranch extra to dip it in otherwise might be too spicy. 🌶️ Avocado Caesar was very delicious, would benefit from adding an additional protein on top as it was very fat heavy with a lottt of avocado 🥑 good for avocado lovers for sure.
Casual, up beat, bright dine in or take out all vegan spot. The food options are diverse (breakfast, flat breads, sandwiches, small bites, desserts, smoothies, etc.), healthy serving sizes, well priced, and flavorful. Service is friendly and food is served up fast! The restaurant looks like it’s inside the W on the map, but it’s not…it’s on Bayshore! Make your way here for vegan/veggie eats!
The Tuna sandwich is the best tuna sandwich I have ever had. The bread was toasted to perfection. The flavor was top notch and the little side salad that comes with it was a perfect pair! I wish I had a picture for you but it was so good I couldn’t stop eating it. I also ended up getting the Carmel Frappuccino and oh my gosh! This did end up taking a picture of. The espresso has a wonderful flavor and the fact that it’s made with a vanilla soft serve made it the perfect sweet treat finish! This is my first time here but will not be my last! I need this place to come to LA!
One of the most reasonably priced vegan restaurants in the area. Staff is very kind. Mushroom tenders and fries were incredible. Lots of options for the hungry vegan and a cute storefront right by the ocean.
The best meal!! I got the Buffalo cauliflower wings and the mushroom burger….DELICIOUS!! I want to go back! Staff were so nice and kind! It’s definitely a must stop to visit when in FLL and looking for vegan food!
Wow! This place is incredible. The owner/chef takes such pride in their food and their customers happiness. The food, service, decor and staff are all amazing. I went 3 times in two days with my friend and two daughters (one who is vegan) . We got the chocolate peanut butter smoothie which was delicious. The mushroom tenders were insane. So crunchy and delicious. We got those two days in a row. The sobe V burger also a winner. The potatoes were gobbled up in seconds by my daughter. The cauliflower bites were also delicious. Crunchy and full of flavor. The avocado tacos were another favorite of mine. They put a lot of avocado in the taco and it was delicious and filling. We went back the next morning for the waffles which had so much flavor and so yum, I loved the banana flavor. This place is a must and I wish they had other locations. Next time I’m in Fort Lauderdale , I will be stopping by. Wish I took more photos before we started eating.
We loved our lunch at SoBe! We were looking for a fresh, plant-forward place in Ft. Lauderdale and that's exactly what we found. Green smoothie was perfect, not too sweet, full of flavor. I ordered the vegan cheeseburger and it rocked, loved the pretzel bun. Fries were cut in a way I've never seen before, really cool, and tasted amazing. Daughter had the mushroom burger and the pattie was literally a whole large muashroom that was delicious. Wife's bowl was excellent as well, had some kick to it. Decor was fun, like the photo booth! Highly recommend SoBe to everyone, amazing experience and delicious food!
Excellent tasting vegan food. Friendly serve, cool atmosphere. Large portions.
3/17/25—-I'm staying at the W after the not so dreamy VrBO advertised. I Googled vegan places—this spot popped up. Turns out, it’s right around the corner from the hotel. Perfect! I walked in, and it’s cozy and charming—just a few tables and even a photo booth. I asked for the menu, and the lady behind the counter… well, let’s just say customer service wasn’t her passion. Her voice was doing the "friendly" thing, but her face had other plans. She was busy living her best social media life, which, to be fair, is probably more exciting than a minimum-wage job. No judgment—some people are just naturally friendly, no matter what job they do. On the bright side, the salad came out fast—no waiting! And it was good. Definitely a spot I’ll visit again (hopefully with a different cashier). But hey, for those trying to eat healthy while traveling—this place is too close to use “convenience” as an excuse. No escaping the greens! 😂
The food was amazing! The location is a vibe, beautiful art right outside the shop and so many vegan options to choose from. The shiitake mushroom sandwich was amazing as well as the veggie burger!
Quick Snacks perfect for a day out by the ocean! Clean and healthy appetizers. 😁 follow me for more cool spots to go travel. 💕 @artistjewlz
The milkshakes were so yummy! Cesear salad, burgers and noodles were yummy! :)) the lady at the front was very accommodating and went the extra mile! Thank you again :)
Absolutely amazing healthy place to eat! The staff was so sweet and kind, and the menu had so many great options—it was hard to choose! I ordered the queso burger, shroom tenders, and some bubbly (I’m on vacation 😎). I’m not vegetarian, but this place definitely hit the spot. The tenders were super crispy—maybe a little too crispy—but still really tasty. I wiped my plate clean! The vibe of the place is just as great as the food. They have a beautiful green wall that adds to the fresh, vibrant aesthetic—I loved it. Whether you're vegan or not, SoBe Vegan is worth the visit. I’ll definitely be back whenever I’m in Fort Lauderdale!
The restaurant is a bit hidden , we passed in front of it with the car but did not see it. The food was delicious and portions were super generous. We could have easily shared 1 main and still be full. We chose the crispy mushroom sandwich with french fries and the taco salad. The pretzel bun was to die for, mushrooms cooked super crispy, the slaw and the sauces added a bit of ting and spice. The taco salad (with walnut meat) was very well dressed and fresh. We could not eat dessert... Next time! Staff super friendly. Bathrooms spotless.
It's a beautiful clean modern Vegan fast casual restaurant. Everything was great but especially the breaded mushroom. A great vegetarian and kosher option near the beach.
This was our first time coming here. Wanted to try something different than our usual. Chilllleeeee I got the queso burger and the Philly cheesesteak. BEST I EVER HAD! It was seasoned, it had spice and and it was gone in 3 minutes. Joseph took our order and suggested these 2 items and he did not disappoint 👏🏾. Great atmosphere, service and food. I also had a oreo milkshake, and if your Vegan you already know how hard it is to find good shakes. Look no further than Sobe Vegan.
Amazing cafe with vegan eats, smoothies, smoothie bowls and amazing coffee! Staff is super friendly and make the experience so nice. Definitely a must visit if you’re in Fort Lauderdale (whether you’re vegan or not, you will love the food!!). Super chill and awesome environment and only one block from the beach. Thanks for having me (2 days in a row!), I’ll definitely be back on my next visit.
Everything here is Vegan 🌱 Such an amazing menu, super friendly staff and amazing hospitality. Everything that we have tried on the menu was delicious 🍽🌱🥘 The vegan burgers were absolutely phenomenal, paired with salad 🥗 made an incredible lunch 🥙 Thank you so much for the most excellent service
Words cannot express how in love I am with SoBe Vegan. I've been vegan for 4-5 years now and I have never had such tasty vegan food at a restaurant. It was incredible. Everything on the menu sounds and looks amazing. I've been raving about it since we went. The murals on the walls are gorgeous and perfect for photo shoots. My girls had a blast there and definitely plan on returning! I hope they expand. Fort Myers is in serious need of a vegan restaurant like SoBe Vegan. Love you guys!!
As a person with celiac it is hard for me to find places to eat where they are careful about cross contamination. So be vegan was adjacent to the hotel we were staying at. I had the avocado toast for breakfast and it tasted really good. No side effects. Nina helped me out and was so gracious and reassuring. The restaurant is lucky to have someone like her working for them. The only thing I would add is that it is difficult to find the restaurant from the main road because the entrance is from Bayshore Drive. Addeded: what could be a bigger vote of confidence that I returned again later in the day for another taste. Tried the chickpea “tuna” sandwich. It was great but would likely taste even better with avocado. Nina was there and even more amazing in her service as compared to this morning
In the area for a few days, stopped in first day, and now have eaten here 3 days in a row. Don’t let the vegan name fool you, I’m not vegan but the food was amazing. I got the burger bowl, açaí bowl, and sausage egg bowl. All perfect in different ways. Please give this place a try if you’re around here you won’t be disappointed. The employees are all very nice, the portions are huge too. 5 stars for sure. (Pictures are açaí bowl and sausage egg bowl)
Ordered the Buffalo bowl and burger bowl— both were very tasty. Great, fast casual meal for vegans and omnivores alike. Will likely be back to try their breakfast before we leave! Update: Came back for breakfast and it was also delicious. Sausage, egg, and cheese bowl (the small was enough food for me) and sandwich along with an iced coffee.
This place is AMAZING. Not only is the food delicious, the team members are incredible. We visited on a weekday, at about 8:30 pm (restaurant closes at 9:00) and were there well past 9:30 with no rush from the servers or manager to finish up. Our server was Isa, sorry if I mispelled your name, and Janice was the manager on duty, both were awesome in explaining the Menu and giving suggestions based on our likes. Some of our favorites are the Philly Cheese Steak, the Buffalo Bowl, Crispy Chicken Sandwich and you must try the standard hot dog, there is nothing standard about it. We have been back twice within a week after our initial visit, just to see if we got lucky the first time or if the service and food was consistant during different times of the day and days of the week. Every visit was as amazing as the first.
Wow!!!! Wish I could capture that first bite again.I didn’t expect that much flavor. The food was amazing. I had the Burger Flight it was great. We also enjoyed the Buttermilk Ranch and the Spicy Chick'n. Finished up with the Caramel Latte for dessert and took the Buffalo Bowl to go for dinner. Everything was 10 out of 10. The staff there is very pleasant and patient. Great atmosphere. Wish they had one in Ct.
We ate there twice: delivery was really fast (items pictured: philly cheese steak, chocolate milkshake, and buffalo bowl.) and in store we got tots with a side of cheese, sausage egg and cheese, and a buffalo chicken sandwich. Pretty cute place and decent food. Didn’t really love the cheeze sauce but everything else was very good. I would stick to the sandwiches.
SoBe Vegan is my favorite vegan restaurant.. probably of all time! My original go-to was the Cobb salad (special shout-out to the spicy buffalo chk’n, bacon, and blue chze dressing!) and chocolate milkshake. Now my new favorite is the Spicy Ch’kn Sandwich with SoBe Cheese Fries! And a chocolate and cookies milkshake. I tried their 6 piece Spicy Ch’kn Tenders today and really loved them too- just careful because they’re so spicy! They also have chocolate and vanilla soft serve- I highly recommend both. 100% vegan with amazing Gluten-free options. Also everything in their shop is Instagrammable- like the angel wings and “World is Ours” sign inside. I moved to Orlando last year after living in Fort Lauderdale for 5 years and specifically make sure I visit SoBe every single time I come to visit!
The food was amazingly good and I will definitely be back for more. As amazing as my food was, the service of Santhia was absolutely superb. She went above all expectations and I look forward to seeing her aviation when I return. Thank you Santhia!!!
I am not vegan but my girlfriend is so I always go with her to these vegan spots and this place was amazing. I had the sassusage, cheese and egg bow with caramelized onions and peppers and it tasted great. Would highly recommend especially if you are vegan and the staff was super nice, which is always a huge plus.
OMG!!!! SoBe food is legit good and fresh!!!!! Within my first few hours in Fort Lauderdale I found this spot and was sooooo happy with the food. All the staff was very warm, friendly and super helpful. The recommendations for food was spot on. My heart and tummy were equally happy :)
It’s not your boring old vegan spot! The atmosphere is fun and laid back hippy chic boho. Lots of outdoor and indoor space and places to take fun selfies. The unique and healthy vegan options are out of this world with a nice verity from pizza to hand spun ice cream. I can’t wait to try the French toast with vanilla bean, cinnamon and berry syrup! Today I had a delightful watermelon sunrise juice with lemon, apple n watermelon. Mmmm refreshing! My lunch was the crispy mushroom sandwich. I got the fries and a side of ranch. Then ground some flakes of pink fresh salt onto my plate. It was perfection. The crispy was so crisp, flavors were on point slaw creamy and just the right tart-ness. I absolutely enjoyed every bite. The seats are comfy and I was greeted with a water and brought my food to my table and even checked on me mid meal. I’m also curious about the chic pea tuna salad sandwich! It looks amazing.
This was my first experience and I LOVED EVERYTHING I ORDERED 😋😋😋 I ordered the SAUSAGE, EGG, CHEESE SANDWICH…. BABYYYYY it was too good lol but seriously! I love their home made sausage😩😩 they need to sell that because I would buy it. I also ordered the AVOCADO TOAST and the PB & B TOAST, as well as the WATERMELON cold pressed juice! Bomb bomb bomb! You will be seeing me again when I have another layover or just visiting Ft Lauderdale! I forgot to add that it has beautiful walls for SELFIES 🤩🥰
Absolutely amazing place. We are here in fort Lauderdale for vacation. With being vegan we wanted something that was vegan and gluten free friendly. This is the spot prices are nice it’s right near the beach take a short walk from your beach chair and grab breakfast lunch dinner or dessert they have nice outdoor seating and plenty of indoor seating as well. When ever we visit again we will be sure to come through for a bite to eat. We had breakfast and lunch here along with dessert.
Outstanding fast casual, but truly some of the best vegan food I’ve ever head. The burger was really fresh, full of flavor, original and healthy. The staff is super nice.
BEST VEGAN, even for NON VEGANS! Wow. Flavorful, good portion size, clean & excellent customer service. It’s worth the 30 min drive. Friendly staff, gave us a large milkshake instead of small since we had to wait longer than expected 😊 +Delicious +Bang for buck (coming from a broke college kid) +Great for non vegans +Get Mac&Cheese, and Cheddar Burger. I don’t eat diary or red meat, but these items were phenomenal -I’d skip on milkshake for my non-vegan friends, it’s just not the same. My vegan friends however loves it!
Warning this review is lengthy but full of good information! Finally got a chance to go to Sobe Vegan, and let me tell you it was worth the wait! Everything we ordered was amazing and flavorful! You wouldn’t be able to tell it was vegan if someone were to bring you the food. The ambiance is very tropical and instagrammable. Jessica and the staff were amazing and helpful. I love the idea of fast food casual. You ordered the food in the front then you sit at a table and they give you restaurant service. Everyone checks on you to make sure everything is good, top notch service! Just a heads up, this place is cashless so make sure you have your digital pay or your cards ready! My partner and I came on a Saturday afternoon ready to try everything and let me tell you we tried a lot! My partner started off with the egg & cheese sandwich with fries. My partner said the egg & cheese was ok but the sausage or bacon would have definitely turned it up a notch. The fries were fresh, natural, and hot; the sauce that came with it was on point! Then we split the spicy chick’n sandwich, we put the pickles and the vegan blue cheese on the side. To us, it wasn’t spicy at all but I guess someone who thinks mild is spicy, it could be hot for them. The blue cheese will cool things down if you think it’s spicy. We got the sliders next and that was a great way to try 3 different burgers at once. It came with the provolone, classic cheddar, and queso burger. My favorite slider was the classic cheddar, that one had the most flavor but don’t get me wrong they were ALL good! The last thing we tried was the egg and cheese bowl. If I had to pick between the bowl and the sandwich I’d pick the bowl 3 times! The bowl came with so much on it and had so many flavors! The bowl alone could fill you up and have you focused on your day ahead! There was no need for the meat on it unless you wanted that bonus flavor. This place is a must, vegan or not! I can’t wait to come back and try the Mac & cheese and their shakes!
OMG the macaroni and cheese is the BEST I've tasted in my 6 year vegan life! The sausage (beyond meat) egg (Just) and cheese sandwich on vegan sour dough was absolutely delicious! The cupful of tater tots were crunchy and yummie dipped in creamy, SoBe sauce tasted like thousand island dressing. Clean restrooms, very friendly staff, indoor and outdoor seating, one block from the beach, next to the W hotel, bright and airy atmosphere! They have cool chairs outside and fun artwork on the walls to take selfies. I absolutely loved my dining experience and it will be the first place I go to when in town again!
Amazing!!! I started ordering here through Ubereats.com and I have never been here until today! Amazing food, amazing customer service, amazing location and I just am in total satisfaction with SoBe Vegan! The cleanliness is off the chain and the staff is super friendly! Love the gluten free options and the flavor is on point!
With my daughter's allergies they were great! Lots of delicious options including gluten free flour! I had the mushroom burger and it was to die for. The avocado salad was great and so was the dragon fruit smoothie. My brother in law got the breakfast bowl and said it was delicious. We will be back if we are ever in the area again
Ft Lauderdale spot was delicious! And friendliest team working! I’ll be back again for the shakes and so many other menu options that I need to try! After indulging in many other foods on a visit to the beach, it was fab to find healthy options that fit my non-dairy needs, so of course it just got better by finding this vegan gem.
The vibe in this place was really cool. I loved the art work, picture prompts and the food and service was really good no complaints it was worth the money the portion size was fulfilling , it’s a must check out if you’re in the area. I had the breakfast bowl and it was super packed with food.
Sobe Vegan is my favorite vegan restaurant on on the beach. The food is amazing, wide selection of delicious vegan food that will satisfy all your taste buds. Friendly staff and prices are reasonable considering their located on the ground floored the W Hotel. They have awesome frocks and shakes as well!
One of the best vegan places in FL. I’m a GF vegan and this is all GF friendly or you can make it GF. The variety on the menu is amazing, the workers are so friendly, and the place is clean. I also love the wood plates & bowls they are very eco friendly! We got the super greens flatbread, Napoletana flatbread, queso burgers on GF bread, kids mac & cheese, shroom tenders, avacado Caesar salad, a vanilla shake… and we’re going to try more of the menu! Some vegan organic wines too! I like how everything’s house made and not processed meat from the store. That is what you pay for. Everything’s made fresh.
Nestled along the sun-kissed shores of Fort Lauderdale Beach, SoBe Vegan beckons with promises of plant-based bliss. From the moment you step inside, it's clear that this eatery is more than just a restaurant—it's a sanctuary for foodies seeking vibrant flavors and heartfelt connections. Leivy is The Heartbeat of SoBe Vegan. I Met Leivy, the charismatic manager who embodies the spirit of hospitality. As a fellow New Yorker, he bridges the gap between strangers and friends, infusing every interaction with warmth. Leivy's attentive presence at my table—checking in, chatting, and ensuring our comfort—transforms dining into a cherished memory. The Shroom Tenders: Imagine crispy, golden nuggets that defy expectations. These shroom tenders—crunchy on the outside, impossibly tender within—elevate comfort food to an art form. You devoured two orders, and honestly, who could blame you? A third would have been irresistible! The Crispy Mushroom Sandwich: Brace yourself for flavor fireworks. Picture plump, seasoned mushrooms nestled between pillowy bread, accompanied by a side of golden fries. Each bite whispers secrets of umami and satisfaction. It's a sandwich worth writing sonnets about. I’m Not Even a Vegan, Yet SoBe Vegan Won Me Over. Here's the delightful twist, I’m not even a vegan! But SoBe Vegan's culinary prowess transcends dietary labels. My sister, the plant-based connoisseur, was thrilled. It's a testament to the restaurant's universal appeal—whether you're a seasoned vegan or a curious explorer, SoBe Vegan invites you to savor life—one delectable bite at a time. 🌿🌱 In Summary SoBe Vegan isn't just about food; it's about connection, community, and culinary joy. Leivy's genuine care, combined with those unforgettable shroom tenders and that sandwich, makes this spot a treasure trove for taste buds. Whether you're a seasoned vegan or a curious explorer, SoBe Vegan speaks the language of deliciousness fluently. 😊 Needless to say I will be back soon, without sis 😉
Love this little place! We stayed at the W and came to eat here every other day or get a smoothie as a late night snack/breakfast fuel. Great yummy delicious food. Never disappointed. Their American burger is fantastic and they are able to add gluten free bread. Tried all their smoothies and all are great! Staff is really nice and helpful and it's a great atmosphere- great for pictures too! Come check it out- great food awaits!
From the moment I stepped foot in SoBe Vegan it was an experience I won’t forget. Clean tropical vibe, knowledgeable and friendly staff and the food was so fresh and tasty! I will say the portion size of the organic raw garden bowl with the chickpea tuna on top was enough for a couple meals.👍🏼 Thanks to the amazing staff and manager for the great experience!
The food was delicious!!!! I was so excited to go here in Fort Lauderdale as I only thought they had the Miami location! The decor was pretty inside and I loved how it was at the W hotel, can’t wait to go back! Best vegan food around a, hands down. Pictures are from two different visits two days apart:)
Leslie took care of us today, she was so awesome. She was very accomodating for my girlfriends gluten and dairy allergies. The food is amazing. We tried the neopolitan Flatbread, mushroom tacos, mushroom tenders and the Mac and cheese. I would recommend all of those items as well their vanilla and chocolate shakes. Nice atmosphere with good music. I will definitely come back and refer others to try.
I have one and only emotion about this place : "WOW". It was so delicious, I already plan my next visit. No matter what you get from the menu tastes and smells delicious, you have to try yourself. I have tried power bowl, burger, chicken burger, hot dog, fries, salad and milkshake. Sooo yummy ! The atmosphere of the place is so friendly and nice, the service that I got was amazing. It makes you feel you what to come back. I definitely changed the way I think about a vegan food after trying vegan here at Sobe. Thank you very much SOBE Vegan for having me and make me enjoy my dinner.
I was in town for a conference and walked to SoBe Vegan. I was blown away by all of their options and variety while still catering to multiple dietary and lifestyle restrictions. I had the Thai noodles and the Mac n cheese which were both delicious! The Mac n cheese was a tad bit spicy but had great flavor. Great service, cute atmosphere, all around a great place! Will be back!
This place has the best food options in the area! I've been to several local eateries, and SoBe Vegan has me returning daily. The food is tasteful and refreshing, and the young lady at the counter (Santhia) has the most pleasant and inviting personality. Her food recommendations are valuable and spot on.
This is my second time coming here, and I absolutely loved it way more than the first time. I’m more familiar with the Miami Beach location, but I was craving “So Be Vegan” and I just had to come all the way up to Fort Lauderdale for this craving . This time I decided to try some things that I never had before which was the “Burger Flight” , “Sausage Egg & Cheese Bowl” and lastly the “ Mac & Cheese” . Everything was a 10/10 would definitely recommend the amount of flavor that was in these items were above & beyond each bite packed with a flavor it was amazing . I’m so happy that I decided to try these items I never had before and most definitely will be coming back. The only thing that I was a little iffy about was the mac & cheese I felt that it lacked seasoning , and it also had a surprise kick to it, which was very interesting. Overall I love So Be Vegan I will definitely be coming back again and again, and again!!!
Okay, so hear me out. My reviews are heavily embedded with how often I've tasted other foods similiar to what I'm currently reviewing, so by my standards I will say overall place is a must visit for any vegan vegetarian but it may not meet the food standard of those others place not too close by. I'll start with my favorites the fries, now yes how can you mess up fries but the reason they were my favorite was because how unique they were, it wasn't a simple fry and the size was so good mixed with their sauces? Oh yes absolutely can tell it's house made. I was not too big of a fan of their pad thai, understand my expectations are big since this is one of my favorite dishes, it was a bit watery but definitely not bad. The tenders an absolute must when coming here, they were so good! Mushroom burger on the other not my favorite, it didn't have too much flavor and the flavor it did have didn't leave me wanting to finish it. Now for the absolute must haves spicy queso burger. As it stands this was the best meal here. Doesn't hold the test of the best because well as I said I travel to many places searching for the best. Overall the place was absolutely gorgeous and management was absolutely outstanding 👏 👌 the visit was overall worth it.
Great location near Las Olas Beach. Vibe is super friendly, open and chill. The kind of restaurant where you can ask questions to the servers and not feel rushed and simply have a conversation. Enjoyed the food. Really fresh and so tasty!!! Ordered the Caesar salad and the provolone burger with the gluten free sourdough bread. Really juicy! The bread was delicious. Great portions of each dish, especially the fries. It’s near the W hotel, we parked in a garage and walked over. The W hotel validates free parking (through valet) for 1 hour. After then there’s a charge. Highly recommend and will be going back when I’m back visiting!!
This is my honest review on Sobe Vegan; If you are looking for a healthy place to eat, this is the place. I came down here for vacation. I was searching food places and came across this one. We decided to try it out. As soon as you walk in, the atmosphere is very welcoming. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. The place is very clean. You can review menu, from talking to staff and locals the Thai Noodles are a highly recommended choice and on top of that it’s really good. (I had it the first time I came in.) For dessert the banana pancakes are actually really good and worth trying. Also we tried their vegan Gelato and it didn’t disappoint. We have been there 2 days in a row and we looking to be going back for the 3rd day to try more things on the menu.
Stopped by here to grab a quick bite before heading to the beach. Not vegan but wanted to try something new and let me tell you ... this food was delicious. The lady providing service with the red hair leslie was really friendly and gave me a good rundown of the menu as well as a recommendation. I chose the sobe burger and it was fresh and tasty. I would recommend if in the area or staying at the hotel. Thanks again!
A very nice vegan restaurant very close to the beach. It seemed to be more restaurant like, but eventually we found the vibe to be more of a vegan truck. It's 100% casual, not a place for fancy dining. The food was very nice. The spicy is real spicy. They don't accept cash, only credit cards. Nice solution for a quick lunch.
We dined in for lunch here as soon as we landed in Fort Lauderdale. We ordered Buffalo Cauliflower, Black Bean Burger with fries and Vanilla Ice-cream. The fries and dip were really good. The burger and ice-cream were okay. The buffalo cauliflower was too vinegary for our taste. The staff were friendly.
It was delicious. I went around 1:30pm and there was no-one there. Feedback for the restaurant is to include ingredients with all items you sell. Also I was a first timer there. Your staff should ask this and then explain the motto there and expectations. Also, social pressuring to tip is a no go for me.
This was my first time eating here and the food was delicious. The cookies and cream milkshake was on point as well. I do believe they can do better with the mac and cheese. It was on the bland side. Everything on the menu sounded great, just couldn't order it all. I was only there on a business trip. The wait wasn't long at all. Valet parking is available at the W hotel and is free for the 1st hour. If you're in town and looking for vegan food or options, this is a great place to visit if you're near Hollywood Beach or in the Fort Lauderdale area. Cost of food is decent. I actually ordered a good amount for 2 people because we were quite hungry from the trip.
I ordered the Shroom Tenders and the Taco Bowl. They were both absolutely amazing! The batter on the shroom tenders was very light and crispy and paired nicely with the pineapple bbq sauce. The Taco Bowl was outstanding! The portion was substantial and the flavor did not disappoint especially the walnut picadillo! The flavor of the walnut picadillo was impressive! Hands down this place is worth the visit!
I went to both locations (Miami and Ft. Lauderdale). I found the food was better at this location... it was amazing 👏 I am salivating just talking about it haha. But I removed a star due to the guy at the main counter. He was not friendly and not helpful. He seemed annoyed at me asking questions about the menu and also seemed annoyed when I went back to order more food before our previous food came out. Somebody ordering food is a good thing isn't it??
Totally cute spot just minutes from my hotel…it’s tucked behind the W. The girl who helped me was totally friendly and took her time giving me recommendations. Too bad I didn’t follow them! I love açaí bowls but this one (looked great) was very mid. I also ordered the “chicken” tenders. Flavor was excellent. If you like mushrooms, you will enjoy these.
This vegan restaurant is at tge back of the W hotel. It has a dining room and a few tables on the sidewalk. I've been to this location on various past visits and greatly enjoyed their food. Sadly, there was a marked quality deterioration. The Shitaki mushrooms dish has thick coating with lesser mushrooms. The vegan burger was noticeable smaller on a pretzel bun. The taco dish was uninspiring and average. For a place that charges premium pricing (the 3 items cost $60) the meal was disappointing and a poor valu.
Depending on when you go parking could be very difficult. Friendly personal. So surprised that they don't offer tea as an option. If you have nut allergies ask before you order anything. A lot of the people in the area need an ego adjustment. The avocado toast was quite good. Would I come back, not really because I have a nut allergy and I don't trust them.
Food it’s alright definitely not how I remember it few years ago. Mac and cheese was super spicy I bought it for my son he couldn’t eat it. Burger was also spicy I couldn’t finish it make sure you ask them because in the menu didn’t say anything about the Mac and cheese being spicy or the burger. They should definitely add it to their ingredients…. The pancakes were good 👍🏼
Went there with lot of expectations. We ordered Tacos, shroom tenders which were good but the sauce was bit weird. The Thai noodles was great. Then there was buffalo cauliflower which was dipped in a sauce which felt like an Indian achari sauce but 4x concentrated than what it should’ve been. So we had to remove the batter skin and just eat the half cooked cauliflowers inside. Overall not great value and can give a skip and go for vegetarian options at nearby El Vez.
Never really understood why some vegan places don’t have vegan protein options. Just very carb heavy. I got the chickpea tuna which was pretty bland. I did have there burgers in the past which is ok, I guess… The smoothie is not bad but they don’t have a protein option for the smoothie either! You’re pretty much going there probably because you’re near the beach and it’s the only Vegan place nearby.
We were so excited to come here, especially for their breakfast items. Unfortunately, it was incredibly disappointing. The waffles and pancakes had absolutely no flavor, tiny portions, with just a few berries and cream. And absolute extortionate prices. We got this and an orange juice, and it was close to $60! We came home and ended up having a second breakfast. I would not recommend, and will not be back. Such a shame, as I love supporting vegan businesses. But the lack of flavor, miniscule portions, and high prices can't be justified.
I ordered buffalo cauliflower and got curry buffalo cauliflower. Absolutely disgusting. Why on earth would you use curry for this?! It was such an unexpected flavor and I detest curry that I couldn’t finish it. There were two hairs; one on the outside of the cup and one on the plate with the waffles. The iced coffee comes with milk and it should state this on the menu because that’s actually an iced latte. I had to wipe my own table clean, too. Most likely will not be back unless the change management and menu.
This review is an opportunity for the owners to improve their food and service. I visited Sobe Vegan on March 12, 2024, expecting good service and food worth my money. But that didn't happen. My burger looked like it was made for a kid, with barely any toppings, and the fries, although tasty, were too few. I ended up paying $20.87 for this meal, which felt like a rip-off. When I walked in, I asked the cashier about the Mushroom Pizza, but he didn't tell me about the 20% off deal they have on Tuesdays. I would've gone for the pizza and saved 4 bucks if I knew. It hit me only after I got my food. I've eaten here several times before, but ever since they changed the menu, the portion sizes have gotten smaller, but the prices haven't. Everything's between $15 and $20, but it's just not worth it. I understand it's a vegan place near the beach, but I still felt let down and taken advantage of. If they served bigger portions, maybe it'd be worth it. If Sobe Vegan offered larger portions, it could change the whole experience for the better. Paying between $15 and $20 for a meal isn't a big deal if you're getting enough food that makes you feel satisfied and like you're getting your money's worth. When you go out to eat, especially at a place near the beach and with vegan options, you're looking for more than just food; you're looking for an enjoyable experience. If the portions matched the price, I wouldn't mind spending the money because I'd leave feeling full and happy with what I got. It's about balance. Larger portions would mean the high prices feel justified, making the overall dining experience feel more worthwhile. If you look at the picture, you'll see just how small the burger is in relation to the small cheap plastic dipping cups.
I tend to simply not return when I have a bad experience and keep the one star review to myself, but this place was once a five star :( Service- I don’t really mind if someone is on their phone but the woman at the front couldn’t be more bothered by us being there when we were deciding what to order. Food- There was one point where the three of us would order most of the menu and all share, but after feeling extremely unwelcome we got a single kid’s mac & cheese (got charged for two, was refunded later once the server brought it to the table and realized) I don’t know how to explain it other than being absolute dog water and tasting like slop. I almost got an acai bowl like I have in the past and i’m so glad I ended up looking at other people’s reviews because it looks sad. Not sure if it got bought out or if management changed but my goodness this spot is terrible now. Every time I’d visit the area my friends and I would make sure to stop here but we will not be making another trip. Prices are now sky high for mediocre service and food. Anyway, this is super disappointing since again, this place was once such a good vegan spot. First pic is the mac n cheese now, second pic is an acai bowl from August 2022, third is a burger & tots from 2022, last is our feast from mid 2021 (there’s mac & cheese on the top left)
Don't bother. I am so puzzled by the glowing reviews of this place. I even looked them up again while eating our very disappointing lunch to make sure I was at the right restaurant. Extremely overpriced and underwhelming. Food was bland at best and unpleasant at worst. A salad and mushroom sandwich with no drinks or extras came to $45. The lady who took our order barely spoke and when she dropped off our food at the our table she was talking on her cell phone. But this rudeness would be nothing if the food was good. It wasn't. What a waste of time and money.
I'd earmarked this place as somewhere to visit on my trip to fort lauderdale and was really looking forward to it. However my first experience was to be "greeted" by a grumpy non communicative member of staff. I ordered 2 coffees for me and my partner and an ice cream for my daughter only to be told very quickly and quietly "no ice cream" when I asked them to repeat what they'd said they barked "NO ICE CREAM" I was then asked hot or cold ( no context) I worked out they meant the coffees, one chai/one matcha latte. Ordered 2 hot coffees. May as well have ordered 2 glasses of ice water. Both absolutely freezing and flavourless. Once I had payed I had the screen span round at me expecting a tip for such wonderful service. Would not recommend, especially if you're expecting good service or a mildly warm coffee.
The fries are great, however the food made me & my friend sick 😓 not sure if the food was expired but it’s such a shame, it is such a cute spot & I was curious why it was so empty. The customer service is no good, you walk in & don’t get greeted. There is a lady sitting at a table on the phone, she takes your order. She was on the phone the entire time 😭 just very unprofessional, I saw another review mention this. I’m just especially off put because my friend & I both got diarrhea, i probably wouldn’t even have left a review if it weren’t for us BOTH getting food poisoning I recommend the rabbit hole if you’re looking for good, junky vegan food. Mac & cheese is bomb, as well as the chicken sandwich
