Timo Restaurant offered a really nice dining experience. The ribeye steak was absolutely fantastic — juicy, tender, and full of flavor. Definitely the highlight of the meal. The ravioli, however, were pretty average — the filling didn’t really stand out, and the sauce was a bit plain. The atmosphere inside was excellent. The interior is cozy but elegant, with a warm, inviting vibe. Great spot for both casual dinners and special occasions. The restaurant is conveniently located, just a short walk from the beach, which makes it an ideal place to stop by after a day out. Parking was easy as well, which is always a bonus in this area. Overall, a great spot for steaks and a relaxed, stylish setting.

Another outstanding restaurant on the strip. We visit every year for our F1 stay. This is one of the best Italian restaurants in South Florida that is a hidden gem. UPDATE: Still same great restaurant, thank you for hosting every year! One of the best restaurants in Miami! We dined in yesterday for a quick dinner which ended up with a wonderful experience all together! The drink where phenomenal, high quality ingredients and special drink made by the restaurant. The food was delicious, carefully picked ingredients that tested our taste buds 🤩. And the deserts were just WOW! Olga took care of us and she is a great server and bartender! Ask for her if you go there! You won’t regret it!

I gotta say, this place was the cats pajamas. We were looking for some Italian food and managed to find this little gem 💎 😍. We were treated like royalty. It seemed like every staff member came to talk with us and make sure we were doing well. We ordered off the menu for our kids and got fettuccine alfredo with chicken for all 3 boys. I ordered delicious appetizers and got a ministrone soup as well. All were delicious. I can't remember what my dish was, but my wife had lobster tortellini it was delicious. We went here back in February, so I am a little foggy. Oh, and make sure you try the tiramisu because it will surprise you in a good way. Our server was very good and knew the menu and the features off by heart. I you could tell that they all enjoyed working there. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area. I will be back next time I am in Miami.

First off we want to say prior to reading this review, we strongly recommend this place! 10/10! The staff was outstanding, our server Mateo, was top tier in his recommendations and accommodations. We appreciated his direction and explanation of dishes. He even split our salads up when we ordered just one. The cuisine offered and ordered was out of this world. We had a salad, the beet and burrata variety and the burrata was very fine and fresh. It was as if it was just past the threshold of what would be considered solid and that is how you’d want it. 10/10. The foie gras on top of toast with fig marmalade was the finest I’ve had in recent memory. Cooked to perfection and immediately was from solid to melted on the palate. Our main, the Grouper with muscles upon Israeli cous cous was banging. I mean it hit every flavor profile imaginable, it joined the clean plate club. Finally the presentation was gorgeous. Sometimes places like this will put flavor behind presentation, but here it was both. Not over the top, elegant and sensible. We also had the key lime pie ice cream dessert with espresso. My partner is a connoisseur of the key lime dessert game, and this easily made top 5!

The best Italian restaurant in Sunny Isles Beach, my favorite place in Miami. I love their duck dish, I like it medium well, mention your preference. The service is fantastic, Johnatan (waiter) is highly professional and attentive. The atmosphere is enjoyable, pizza oven makes it very cozy. Last but not least their clean and fancy bathrooms.

The resturant is very loud, there is no sound absorbing material anywhere. The food is superb. No kids menu, imo not worth the prices they charge. Wild mushroom soup was excellent. Specials cost 2× their regular price.

Amending my review from 4 months ago. 5 stars then, 5 stars now because that's as high as Google allows.. Every bite was perfect, this time served by Olga, the best bartender in Miami, or anywhere for that matter. She loves the food and made excellent recommendations. Can't wait to return!

There needs to be an extra STAR available to rate this rare gem of a restaurant. The moment you set foot in this fine establishment, you're greeted with a polite, courteous host. The ambience is second to none, on this barrier island. The service is impeccable and the food is prepared to perfection. If you order the skirt steak, paired wth roasted Brussel sprouts, you will not go wrong. The kitchen DID NOT MISS A BEAT in preparing both to utter flawlessness. The steak was tender, juicy and cooked exactly to desired temperature. The Brussel sprouts were roasted just enough; not overdone, nor underdone, and seasoned to perfection. If you visit Sunny Isles, you owe it to yourself to experience this gem of a restaurant.

The best service I ever had, and I go out to eat a lot. We ordered something that was not on the menu and chef came out to ask how we want it. What he made was absolutely delicious! Everything was delicious and beautifully plated. Kids had pasta with butter and even they said it was the tastiest pasta ever! Yes, it is pricey, but worth every penny.

The food was very good. The service though… you know when you expect a certain standard and never receive it? Jonathan saw our bronzino whole wasn’t even our server stopped by and asked to separate our fish from the bone- did an amazing job. Our server Charles was on it the entire night. Did a fantastic job. This place is a must visit. Makes me happy there are still servers out there who leave memorable moments for their customers. Thank you!

Very flavorful dishes and really good service. The place looks better from the inside, saying this because from the outside you can’t envision that you ll enter a spacious place with a good size bar and a wood fire oven!! They serve bread crackers and olive oil as a welcoming treat and the rest of the plates come pretty fast. They have a lot of specials every night (but are very pricy). I loved their risotto, indeed very creamy and the generous portion of mushrooms add an extra chewiness to the dish. They also have a good selection of wines by bottle. By class you can find one of a kind. In general it didn’t feel touristy in contrast to the other places on the southern section two blocks down.

Great atmosphere. Helpful staff and delicious food. Wrestled with appetizer selection and decided to order entree. Not their fault. Menu had a good selection of appetizers and entrees. I had swordfish, super! Our guest had lamb shank and veal parmesan. Both excellent. Pear Torte for dessert was out of sight. Highly recommend.

Best restaurant we went to during our sunny isles trip. The service was great; the waiters were so friendly. The food was so delicious. We for the roasted mozzarella app- it was perfect and so flavorful. We also got the sausage pizza and skirt steak- both were just great. Definitely recommend.

Followed all safety protocols and yet still didn't feel any different. The Skirt steak was AMAZING! The wood fired pizza ...white and black..was crazy good. My 1st time there and the reviews were right. It was a fantastic meal with the best service I've had in a long time. My whole family loved it. Thanks so much Timo!

I celebrate my 6 anniversary.. everything wonderful

We ate here for our first nice dinner out on vacation. Got our meals quickly and the place was packed. We didnt even have a reservation. The hostess and our waiter were friendly. The only thing, it's so hard to choose from the menu. There's so many good meals. They have the most beautiful brick oven we've ever seen! It's worth it !

Some of the best food we've ever had! We did a red wine flight. My boyfriend has the spicy chicken. I had the butternut squash ravioli. We shared the tiramisu and macadamia nut brittle. All delicious. This is a very nice establishment, perfect for anniversaries, etc.

Great Italian food. My wife loves Italian food and since I'm not a good cook we came here. Service was wonderful. She had the burrata ravioli with fresh tomato, chili flakes, olive oil, garlic and basil. I had the skirt steak marinated in garlic & lemon with fries and homemade ketchup. I never heard of a skirt steak. I asked them not to make the skirt too short on the steak. Fun night.

My experience was very pleasant, an excellent work group, a cozy atmosphere, and the balance between the taste of the food and the presentation of my dishes was ideal. Every time I’m in the area I go to Timo’s. The food is wonderful and so is the service. They have a dish for any preference or need.. meat to vegan. They handle my dietary needs with ease( gluten and dairy free). They have a fabulous vegan chocolate torte. You don’t have to be vegan to enjoy it, you would never know it’s vegan. They also have several vegan dishes. This last visit I had salmon and my husband had a ribeye. I can’t wait to go back!

Awesome staff. Very attentive, personable, and overall friendly staff. Second the Lamb Shank pasta and it was very good. Not a heavy dish given the number of bites but enough to satisfy. Wife had the Rigatoni and it was a big dish but had a good flavor - i probably sided more with my Lam Shank Pansotti. Finished with the Chocolate Pistachio Bar. Oh it hit the right spot. Not a heavy dessert and had a lot of flavor and depth. Overall great place - not the most scenic place but interior is done well. Huge wine menu and beer selection was meh.

We were in Miami for a long weekend and booked dinner at Timo to celebrate our anniversary. From the moment we walked through the door, they treated us so well. The staff was incredibly attentive and the food was unreal. On the plane home yesterday I couldn’t stop thinking about the pasta we had - pappardelle - it was so delicious. If you’re thinking about trying Timo, do it - you won’t regret it!.

The food here is amazing along with the service! Went there for Valentines and the food and service was excellent! I'm a chef and food cridict. I'm very particular not only food and service but environment! Change the music. I don't want to hear modern music in such a great atmosphere. Give me some Frank, Sammy and romantic! Would have been nice to have maybe guitar player for Valentines! Shut the TV off! It's definitely not a sports bar! I'll definitely be back! We spent $300 for 2 of us! I want it to be perfect! Not impressed with the blond hostess. I found her rude! The guy host is definitely the best in Florida!

I must say this is my all-time favorite restaurant! their food is so delicious that it melts in your mouth every bite you eat. Came here back in Oct 2024 for the first time and as I was dining alone, I sat at the bar. Great experience, so I decided to make a repeat visit when I was recently in the area. Sat at the bar again, and the same bartender serviced me. Lots of regulars for sure. She seemed to know everyone, and even acted as if she remembered me. Both times the meals were excellent. This will be a go-to when I am in Sunny Isles again.

Timo I came in with a party of 14 and everyone I came with enjoyed their meal and cleaned their plates. We got pizza as an appetizer which was delicious. My whole party is from New York and everyone said the pizza was unreal! My 90 year old Nonno ordered a 2 pound fish, finished the whole thing, and claims it is the best fish he has ever had( He grew up in an ocean side village in Italy). Personally, I had yellowtail snapper that came with a lobster tortellini. This meal was out of this world. The Grouper served with blue crab risotto. My cousin ordered and had 0 complaints. He actually wouldn’t stop talking about it for the rest of the night. The portions were absolutely PERFECT. Fills you up while saving a little room for dessert and not making you feel bloated. The service was impeccable. Everyone was very friendly from the moment we walked in. Specifically our server, Jonathan, was very kind and was always checking in. Constantly cracking jokes and providing engaging small talk. For dessert the table got a couple of Tiramisu and Affogato. Not a single person was disappointed in the dessert. Everyone loved it! The tiramisu was unique and modern (Look at attached picture) Everything was plated beautifully and delicious. They also have a very diverse and beautiful wine collection Overall, Timo is a high end, “not your normal authentic Italian restaurant”. Everything has a little bit of a delicious interesting twist. Every person here would DEFINITELY come back.

What can I say about Timo. My wife and I started going to timo way back in 2006 when we moved from Chicago to SFL. 19 years later, it’s still the best restaurant in SFL. Every big occasion, we go to Timo. When it’s my birthday, we go to Timo. Now with two young kids, they ask for Timo. It’s where my kids learned to appreciate great food and service. It’s always been consistent every visit and always offers great food and service. Now that we are moving out of state, it’s one of the only few things I will miss from SFL. We went this past weekend for our “last” meal and again it was great. Thank you to the team for your hard work and dedication. You made every visit feel special. All the best!

One of the most exceptional meals and experiences I have every had! We were a group of 6 and every dish was outstanding. One of our party has several dietary restrictions and the chef was incredibly accommodating, going as far as making a separate sauce base for her appetizer. Our server, Jonathan, was so warm and funny he felt like an old friend by the end of the evening.

I am from KC and just had the BEST dining experience at Timo Restaurant & Bar. The wait staff was attentive, professional & personable. We were celebrating my daughter’s 23rd birthday and our server took such great care of us. I would recommend going here ONLY if you want the kind of service that seems to be lacking in the hospitality industry…perhaps, the Timo staff should consider creating a training video to show the rest of the industry how it should be done! BRAVO!

Fantastic meal, service and wine list!!! On a family vacation here in Miami and we had a very rough start, this restaurant turned everything around for us. The server was attentive and knowledgeable and friendly without being too stuffy. At 9pm, the place was packed with diners that looked like they were having a great time. The bartender was busy but hustling hard and made us a fantastic round of drinks. Our food was delicious, the wine was exceptional and the ambiance looked like a place in a movie. Tempted to dine here two nights in a row!! I never write reviews but this place deserved it. My wife and I are in the restaurant business and really appreciate a great night out for a change.

It's almost hard to put into words how amazing this place is. I own a restaurant and know how hard it is to concentrate on every detail of the experience but Jonathan and his crew nailed it! From the time we entered into the front doors we felt the love. The staff's joyful attentiveness is a unicorn in South Florida. The menu has the ability to satisfy your cravings no matter what your looking for. We genuinely thank you for giving us the honor of dining with you and having such an amazing experience.

I came here for the vegan tasting menu and it did not disappoint! I am so impressed an Italian restaurant has a vegan menu, and the food was AMAZING. The service was phenomenal, I wish i remembered the waiter’s name.

Our cocktails were deliscious. Food and service were both excellent. We had the buratta, fried oyster salad, prosciutto pizza, and grille branzino. Everything was really tasty. Will definitely be back.

Totally amazing from A to Z. Cozy restaurant in the heart of Sunny Isle Beach. Located in a RK plaza with parking spots in front and rear of the restaurant. The restaurant does not say a lot from outside. Blue awning, big windows, outside seating. Inside it is really classy and beautiful. Nice paintings, wooden fire pizza oven, good music, excellent mediterranean food serve with passion and dedication. Service is friendly but professional. Casual but on point. Sandy makes fabulous drinks. A bit exotic. she know what she is doing. Leandro was our server. He is very knowledgeable with a good taste and recommendations. Wanda was helping with a big smile on her face at all times. Thanks very much timo staff!!!

Terrific Find February 2023 - Don’t let the location in a small strip mall turn you away, terrific find. Food is very good with generous portions. In our most recent visit, the Grilled Veal Sweetbreads and the Squid Ink Seafood Risotto were outstanding. Very nice list of Italian wines (reasonable markups). Professional and attentive service. Nice dining room and a lively bar area. It is one of our go-to places whenever we visit Sunny Isles!

What a great night from start to finish! Our server Artem was super friendly and very knowledgeable, making the whole meal a very smooth experience. The scallop salad had fois gras on it that melts in your mouth. The branzino in a buttery sauce was so tender and delicious. And the sword fish was cooked to perfection. We also saw so many other tasty dishes passing by us that we must come back again for another dinner or lunch adventure here. Very highly recommend you come for a very quality meal and dining experience.

What a find! They accommodated a crowd of us coworkers last minute for dinner. Amazing Italian food fit for foodies but not overdone. The sea bass special with mushrooms and polenta was incredible! I also thoroughly enjoyed the chocolate pistachio bar.

Our first time dining at Timo Restaurant, and it will absolutely not be our last. From the moment my husband and I walked in, we felt genuinely welcomed. While we were waiting to be seated, a fabulous woman named Rose Evans was cashing out and struck up a conversation with us. She asked if we’d ever been there before and immediately told us we were about to have the best food ever. She shared that it was her husband’s birthday and that Timo is his absolute favorite restaurant. You could instantly tell she was a regular — warm, friendly, and welcoming — and her energy set the tone for our entire evening. Once seated, Mateo was our server, and he was phenomenal. He shared the history of the restaurant, how long many of the recipes have been on the menu, and explained how they incorporate seasonal changes while staying true to their roots. Any question we had, he answered confidently and attentively. His service was impeccable — knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely kind. The atmosphere at Timo is the perfect balance of classy and elegant while still making you feel completely at home. You can truly tell that everyone who works there operates like one big happy family, and that warmth carries through every part of the dining experience. This has officially become one of our favorite restaurants, and we will absolutely be returning. If you haven’t been to Timo yet, do yourself a favor and go — you won’t be disappointed!

I made reservations for the wrong day. Yet, they accommodated us no problem! Great atmosphere, excellent food and excellent service! We shared pizza and lasagna and both were delicious! The drinks were really good too! Definitely recommend!

Outstanding! My wife and I had dinner last night at Timo. What a pleasure from beginning to end. First, the cordiality of the personnel. Everyone is kind, warm and accommodating. It feels as if you're arriving at a relative's home. This was a birthday celebration but we hadn't informed them before our arrival. They asked, "are you celebrating anything special this evening?" We responded. Our dinner began with made-to-order martinis, followed by my amazing lobster gazpacho and my wife's delicious Caesar salad. Our main courses were incredible. I had the branzino special and she loved her black ink spaghetti with lobster. Truly awesome. For dessert, we had the affogato, which is an experience. The restaurant gifted us each a limoncello and a few other goodies. This was the best Miami dining experience we have had in a very long time. If you're looking for a lovely dinner, with exceptional food and service, check out Timo.

Came here tonight, 11th October 2025 with my partner for a date night well stopping in Sunny Isles, we both had the lasagna pizza and it was divine, I even took a couple slices back for later. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was great. We are in Sunny Isles until 20th October 2025 and we plan on coming back.

A delicious experience – highly recommended! We visited this restaurant and were truly impressed. We tried the pasta and pizza – everything was absolutely delicious! The flavors were authentic, and you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. We also had a few cocktails, which were just as good. The service was excellent: attentive, friendly, and genuinely warm. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The atmosphere also adds a lot to the experience – calm, cozy, and with the perfect vibe to enjoy a great meal whether you're with your partner, friends, or family. The quality of the food truly exceeded our expectations. The service was outstanding as well. The staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and the hospitality are this exceptional. We’ll definitely be coming back! Highly recommend.

Came here tonight, 11th October 2025 with my partner for a date night well stopping in Sunny Isles, we both had the lasagna pizza and it was divine, I even took a couple slices back for later. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was great. We are in Sunny Isles until 20th October 2025 and we plan on coming back.

Outstanding! My wife and I had dinner last night at Timo. What a pleasure from beginning to end. First, the cordiality of the personnel. Everyone is kind, warm and accommodating. It feels as if you're arriving at a relative's home. This was a birthday celebration but we hadn't informed them before our arrival. They asked, "are you celebrating anything special this evening?" We responded. Our dinner began with made-to-order martinis, followed by my amazing lobster gazpacho and my wife's delicious Caesar salad. Our main courses were incredible. I had the branzino special and she loved her black ink spaghetti with lobster. Truly awesome. For dessert, we had the affogato, which is an experience. The restaurant gifted us each a limoncello and a few other goodies. This was the best Miami dining experience we have had in a very long time. A delicious experience – highly recommended! We visited this restaurant and were truly impressed. We tried the pasta and pizza – everything was absolutely delicious! The flavors were authentic, and you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. We also had a few cocktails, which were just as good. The service was excellent: attentive, friendly, and genuinely warm. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The atmosphere also adds a lot to the experience – calm, cozy, and with the perfect vibe to enjoy a great meal whether you're with your partner, friends, or family. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to. If you're looking for a great spot to eat well and relax, this restaurant is a fantastic choice!

We had a group of 8 for a bachelorette dinner to start a celebratory weekend. The food was very good and the service was excellent. From the time we were seated, Jonathan was attentive, funny, and very helpful. We challenged him with picky eaters and unique cocktail requests and his recommendations were well thought out. The food was delicious with a couple of standouts: (1) the scallop appetizer, including the asparagus!!(2) the yellowtail seafood dish, (3) the braised short rib, and (4) the sea bass were all big hits. There were a few minor misses: (1) The burrata ravioli was a little salty but balanced out after I added fresh-cracked black pepper. (2) The orecchiette needed more broth in the bowl. Without it, the pasta was bland. With a balanced bite, the dish was really good. (3) The king oyster mushroom served with the sea bass. We didn’t know what it was and was not expecting the texture or taste :-( There was not a bad desert on the menu. We had very low expectations for the Apple streusel crème brûlée but it turned out to be the best of all!

Extremely good service. Food was very good but priced a bit high, probably due to location. Atmosphere was good except we were seated in a spot where the waiters constantly bumped into my wife when getting pizzas behind her. We will go again and sit in a different spot. Great wine list as well.

The vegan tasting menu was okay at best. I could’ve cooked better stuff at home to be honest. However I’ve visited Timo as a non vegan twice before and each time the food has been superb so I’ll give it that. Especially the black and white pizza. I usually get great service but I didn’t like how this one time our waiter was enforcing gender roles with the paycheck as a joke, and although I’m not one to care about that, I’d rather him put the check on the table instead of handing it to me (we were on a date and usually split the bill). Although the noise level is loud, the ambience is quite gorgeous for a restaurant. Energetic noise, great table placement and a well kept bar area and restrooms are a plus. If you go here, get some pizza, but don’t expect something super high class either. Booths are shaky. Still would recommend.

We dined here on a Monday night. The service was top notch and the food was delicious. I really wish I could remember the waiters name because he was fantastic at his job. He really made the night special.

Lovely ambiance with unsettled sometimes pouty staff. Our party of 5 had no less than 6 different, sometimes hard to find people serving our table. Lasagna was 10/10...veal based meat sauce was beautifully souced, cooked & tasty. Small plates octopus salad was skillfully prepared & perfectly cooked. Grilled cauliflower steak was great...with lots of interesting vegan alternatives. Excellent wine list .....table service needs serious attention.

Expensive mid italian food. I was surprised how limited the menu was. No traditional italian items. The food was fresh but salty. Service was not great. My server was so not interested in us, but the runner was what saved us. Make sure you have a reservation.

The chef has potential, the food is good, The squash soup is amazing, and the mushroom risotto is good. Lobster was cooked to perfection, fresh and flaky. Ceasar salad was blend. They lost me when they brought the pear torte and had to put cinnamon in there! STOP WITH THE CINNAMON! What is it in the USA with the cinnamon in all the deserts????? It is a NO! Over all decent food

Be cautious with this restaurant. When they bring your bill in gives a suggested tip of 20% and it’s added to your bill. I expected that I would be charged for the amount of my food and tax. But I was charged for the food, tax and the suggested 20% tip. I paid in cash and was brought change based giving a 20% tip. I may have given less and I may have given more of a tip but to bill you the suggested tip is dishonest at the minimum and potentially theft. The tipping culture has gotten out of hand and to start this trend is unacceptable. The other person I was with paid with a credit card and was charged with the 20% included and still had to indicate no additional tip on the card receipt. Be aware and tell them to only charge the food and you will leave a tip in cash.

Poor poor service experience. We attend 4 adults and we ordered 4 appetizers and 4 main dishes and couple of drinks. The food was generally good. Also we coming back and forth to Timo over the 20 years so the restaurant not new for us. unfortunately the last few times that we were back the service was awful. I rarely write negative reviews but I feel compelled to share my recent experiences, During our visit to Timo restaurant the service left a lot to be desire. Our server seemed inattentive and rushed, barely acknowledging us throughout the meal. We ordered a mozzarella Caprese dish and we got Buratta, even though that we mentioned that we don't interesting at the Buratta dish. Atter we ate the appetizers and was ready to order the main dishes My son asked for extra bread to the table we and the server told him fist you get your main dish and I'll bring you more he came with 2 pieces of bread that seemed dry. The server responded curtly and seemed annoyed. I can definitely understand a middle age server working in a restaurant can be very annoying and not easy but u not expecting to charge " happy customers" 18% to 20% each time for service and bring kind of bad energy to our experience.

Ladies and gentlemen, don’t waist your time. The food has no flavor and it’s over priced. The staff and service do an excellent job, but sadly, not worth your time. Sad, because the place has a nice atmosphere.

Worst experience at a restaurant in a long time. Miami has the best restaurants and I was surprised to have this horrible experience. Not only did the server put his hands in my food, the stuffed Branzino with asparagus was terrible. They need to remove this dish from the menu. They didn’t even offer a discount or free dessert. I’m never going back and I will tell my friends not to go there.

Enjoyed the meal. Service was very good. Four of us. A 20% tip was added on the bill, but wasn’t “mandatory”. I would have had to request the bill be reconfigured at a lower tip (?18%). It wasn’t the extra 6$, it’s the predatory bullying technique. As a result I won’t return.

This place looked so promising. We were excited about going and unfortunately it was just disappointing. The food was ok, nothing great. About olive garden quality. The service was atrocious. I ordered a red wine with my steak and it was delivered when I was finished with my steak. The waiter never checked on us. We had to ask a busser for the waiter because several things were left off the order (including the wine) . The waiter never checked back in on us. The busser showed up and cleared the plates. We asked for dessert menus and sat there for 20 min. We had to ask for the busser again to get the waiter so we could pay. They did automatic gratuity which was not good. So this jerk of a waiter who gave us really bad service got $68 tip. We just left. Not worth wasting any more time.
