My partner and I needed a late night bite to eat and stumbled across this place. I'm so glad we did, the risotto was amazing and the calming atmosphere was a welcome break from the crowds of the duomo. My husband is coeliac but despite our poor Italian skills, the host was incredibly welcoming and did a great job of communicating menu options. I highly recommend going here if you're in the neighborhood, for classic dishes filled with flavour.

Just had a lovely meal at this trattoria tonight. The service was attentive and kind but not overbearing and the food was really lovely too. Given it was our last night in Milan we decided to go for the classic Milanese dish of Ossobuco and veal cutlet which came in very hearty portions. To our great surprise we seemed to be the only customers the entire evening - I would highly recommend this trattoria to any visitors of Milan. It is just a five minute walk from the Duomo and the staff speak excellent English.

Ristorante che propone un menù di piatti tipici milanesi, devo dire alquanto stringato nelle opzioni messe a disposizione, in cui ci siamo dilettati a sperimentare la polenta taragna con funghi porcini, la cotoletta, il risotto, i tortelli di zucca con amaretti, i tagliolini con pesto e pistacchio ma soprattutto la guancia di brasato con polenta ed accompagnamento di patate al forno. A chiosa i dolci della casa. Il cibo è indubbiamente buono, anche se un pò in stile gourmet (quindi sicuramente non generosi nelle quantità), quindi la qualità è comprovata e si ha modo di provare la delizia di piatti che comunemente nn si trovano in giro se non andando in questi posti dedicati a questo genere di cucina. È altrettanto caro ma del resto chi spende trova. Ci sta sicuramente provarlo perchè, al di là del portafoglio, si mangia bene e si esce soddisfatti.

Molto caro per il cibo servito. Abbiamo ordinato 3 cotolette: una buona, anche se insipida, le altre due sottili e dure e unte, accompagnate da due foglie di insala mista non troppo fresca. Il risotto all'ossobuco era buono ma pronto in 5 minuti, mi chiedo se fosse precotto, altrimenti come è possibile prepararlo così velocemente? Per il suo prezzo, spero davvero non fosse precotto. Buona la posizione, in centro. Alla domanda "andava tutto bene?" del cameriere, abbiamo fatto presente che non tutte le cotolette (32€ l'una) erano buone, e ci ha risposto non proprio garbatamente. Non torneremo.

Il comportamento del titolare è stato sgradevole, maleducato e del tutto ingiustificato, tanto da rovinare completamente il pranzo. Il cibo è discreto e le cameriere sono state corrette e professionali, ma purtroppo tutto questo passa in secondo piano a causa dell’atteggiamento del titolare, che ci ha trattati male esclusivamente perché eravamo accompagnati da una neonata di 10 mesi. Dopo una prenotazione effettuata tramite The Fork (che non obbliga in alcun modo a dichiarare la presenza di neonati), ha iniziato a lamentarsi in modo insistente e pesante, facendoci sentire a disagio per tutta la durata del pranzo. Il tono e i modi sono stati tali da attirare l’attenzione degli altri clienti, creando una situazione imbarazzante e spiacevole. Se un locale non è attrezzato per accogliere neonati dovrebbe dirlo chiaramente o almeno gestire la situazione con educazione: in questo caso, infatti, l’unico rialzo disponibile non era adatto a una neonata di 10 mesi e non garantiva sicurezza, motivo per cui la madre è stata costretta a tenerla in braccio per tutto il pranzo. Alla luce di questo, le continue lamentele del titolare risultano ancora più incomprensibili. Eventuali problemi organizzativi o scelte interne, come il sostenere di aver disdetto un’altra prenotazione, non possono e non devono essere scaricati sui clienti né tantomeno giustificare un atteggiamento scortese e reiterato. Anche al momento del pagamento il tono è rimasto teso e fuori luogo, lasciando un’impressione finale pessima. Considerando anche le numerose recensioni che raccontano episodi simili, è evidente che non si tratta di un caso isolato ma di un modo abituale di rapportarsi con la clientela che finisce per rovinare l’immagine del locale. Personalmente non tornerò e non lo consiglio.

Inadeguato… Pranziamo in 4, di sabato, prenotiamo telefonicamente e ci viene chiesto di arrivare entro le 13.30. Arriviamo in orario ma ci chiedono di aspettare a ordinare. Attendiamo per una mezz'ora. Prendiamo tre risotti con ossobuco, risotto buono ma purtroppo due ossobuchi su tre sono stati cotti troppo poco, in piu parti. Al pagamento - dopo averlo detto alla cameriera, che si scusa e lo riferisce in cucina - lo segnalo al gestore. Mi risponde che è la consistenza della carne, obietto che non è così. Si risente, diventa sgarbato e strafottente (sfotte: "lei è uno chef?") Inadeguato. Inadeguato alla zona, nel pieno centro di Milano, e inadeguato rispetto ai prezzi.

Sono rimasta purtroppo molto delusa dall’esperienza in questo ristorante. Ci tengo però a specificare una nota positiva: la cameriera è stata davvero gentile e professionale, l’unica cosa che ha lasciato un’impressione piacevole della serata. Per quanto riguarda invece i piatti, non posso dire lo stesso: – la parmigiana sembrava scongelata e poco curata, – le tagliatelle al ragù non avevano sapore e la qualità del condimento è risultata davvero scadente, – il risotto alla milanese è stato purtroppo il peggiore mai assaggiato, e non mi ha fatto stare bene dopo la cena. Mi dispiace doverlo dire, ma non consiglierei questo locale e non credo tornerò. Spero che il proprietario possa prendere in considerazione un miglioramento sia della qualità dei piatti che dell’accoglienza, perché nonostante la buona volontà del personale di sala, l’esperienza generale è stata negativa.

Per un fine settimana con le mie amiche abbiamo scelto questo locale per mangiare milanese e per sfruttare la promozione di the fork un primo e un secondo 35€. Ebbene si abbiamo toppato per entrambi. La cucina alla milanese nonostante il menù praticamente estranea il risotto di milanese aveva solo il colore giallo ma solo esteticamente mentre per il palato era solo un risotto al burro, la cotoletta ancora più deludente era sottile 5mm scarsi, un contorno con delle patate al forno pessime simil plastica( cucinate, Riscaldate e ancora riscaldate) e 2 bottiglie d'acqua per un totale di 51,80 a persona. Ma a parte il cibo e il pagamento abbiamo trovato un titolare poco professionale, finché non si ordina è stato tutta simpatia per poi girare le carte in tavola al momento del pagamento. Non ci ritorneremo sicuramente e non lo consiglieremo.

In coppia, abbiamo preso un piatto di ravioli alla zucca (buoni) e uno di spaghetti con pistacchio e gamberi (purtroppo immangiabile). I gamberi erano crudi e davano un sapore insopportabile al piatto. Siamo stati costretti a cambiare la pietanza e a chiedere un risotto. Tuttavia il piatto è stato inserito nel conto ed il titolare è sembrato quasi offeso e scontroso. A mio avviso, se proprio si volesse far pagare il piatto poiché non piace, sarebbe carino ed educato “scusarsi” con il cliente offrendo qualcosa in cambio (un bicchiere di vino, un amaro, un dolce). Purtroppo non è da tutti avere gentilezza ed empatia. Oggettivamente il piatto era disgustoso. I camerieri erano comunque gentili. Non torneremo

A mezzogiorno ho chiamato il ristorante per prenotare un tavolo per due persone per la sera. Dopo aver preso la richiesta di prenotazione, mi ha chiesto il nome. Poiché il mio nome non è italiano, ho iniziato a scandirlo lettera per lettera; a quel punto mi ha detto “va bene, non c’è problema” e ha chiuso la telefonata in modo piuttosto brusco. La cosa mi è sembrata strana, ma non ci ho dato troppo peso. La sera siamo arrivate al ristorante prima delle 19:30, poco dopo l’orario di apertura previsto per le 19:00. All’interno c’erano soltanto due tavoli occupati. Nonostante avessi detto di avere una prenotazione, l’atteggiamento è stato molto inquisitorio, quasi a voler insinuare che la prenotazione non esistesse. Siamo comunque state fatte accomodare, ma il modo è stato fin dall’inizio freddo e scortese. Al momento dell’ordine abbiamo chiesto due secondi piatti, un calice di vino e una Coca-Cola. Siamo due ragazze molto minute, quindi era naturale non ordinare l’intero menù. Il proprietario ci ha chiesto se volessimo due porzioni per ogni piatto. Abbiamo risposto chiaramente che ne volevamo una per tipo da condividere. A quel punto ha fatto un commento sul fatto che il ristorante fosse pieno e che in questo modo avremmo “occupato un tavolo” senza ordinare abbastanza. Gli ho chiesto direttamente se preferisse che ce ne andassimo. Ha risposto di no, dicendo che ci avrebbe portato i piatti e che avremmo potuto dividerli noi. Era esattamente ciò che avevamo chiesto fin dall’inizio. Nonostante questo, il tono è stato paternalistico e rimproverante, del tutto fuori luogo. Essendo turiste in città, con un’amica arrivata dall’estero, e sapendo che di sabato sera sarebbe stato difficile trovare un altro posto libero, non ci siamo alzate per andare via. Tuttavia, questo atteggiamento ha reso irrilevante la qualità del cibo. I piatti erano effettivamente molto buoni e il resto del personale è stato gentile. Il problema è stato esclusivamente l’atteggiamento del proprietario. Non avevamo alcuna intenzione di occupare il tavolo fino a mezzanotte; volevamo semplicemente cenare e andare via. Invece abbiamo mangiato in un clima di disagio. Per quanto possa dare un punteggio alto al cibo, per la scortesia e il modo di trattare i clienti non mi sento di consigliarlo né di tornarci.

I told the owner that we were advised to come early to get a table away from the door when reserving. He said: „In here I say who sits where, and you better get lost now“. All was said in a very rude way. The seated guests looked shocked at us as. I said „thanks“ in a ironic way and fled the place. We have never experienced such a hostile and unfriendly owner of a restaurant in our whole life. n the morning when we made the booking for 2 for lunch we asked for a table away from the door. The lady told us that this wasn‘t possible because they gave the tables according to the wishes of the guests on a first come first serve basis. So we went there early… How could this happen to us? Maybe because we have light brown skin and are not white? In any case, avoid this place by any means. PS: The owner now claims that the restaurant was booked out. What a liar: we were there at 10 am to make the reservation personally, as we passed by and saw that the door was open. We were the third or fourth party in the reservation book and our reservation was welcomed by his colleague. At 12.45 when we reached, there were only 8 persons in the restaurant eating.

Food was really good and the waitress was really nice, but a man, whom I assume is the owner, didn't take the time to explain the menu as he did to other italian customers and then just rolled up his eyes when we ordered our food for takeaway (for our 3 year old baby who didn't eat because she was sleeping). I just hate rude people, if you don't want to serve food for foreigners then close your place for foreigners... I edit my comment after seeing your response. I have been learning italian 4 months ago, so I did communicate with her in italian and WITH YOU TOO. And you do not need to know any languate to UNDERSTAND physical language and how you ROLLED UP YOUR EYES when I KINDLY asked in ITALIAN, if you could put our "RIMANENZE" as you said instead of avanzi o resto del cibo, for takeaway. And we are very educated, so much that we left a 10% tip and did not said anything when you rolled up your eyes and even left us out in the rain for a few minutes before opening.

Avoid. I understand the boiled meat cannot be freshly cooked but even after reheat, the part of meat on the bone of one piece of meat was still cold and raw. Price also unreasonably high, not suited for the food quality. For the side dish, it's not bake potato and potato chips with vegetables for 6 euros but each cost 6 euros. Unbelievable.
