Poco da dire, un "must" x Milano, ottima e ampia scelta di vini, sia in bottiglia che a calice accompagnati da stuzzichini. Consumazione sul posto ora con vetrata coperta e tavolini sul marciapiede. Nel cuore della Chinatown di Milano. Da non perdere.

A wonderful wine shop/bar in Chinatown, Milan. The staff is super helpful and spends time understanding what you’re looking for and offers tastings. I left with 3 bottles to take home that they helped me select and taste. They also offer half glasses and will open almost any bottle for you if you just want a glass.

Cantine Isola dal 1896 - what a gem! I saw a Google review that said it was a cute and fun wine bar, so we went, and wow, it delivered. I’ll admit, I wasn’t quite sure what to do at first, but then along came Lorenzo - absolute legend! He spoke English, walked us through the whole experience, and made some incredible wine recommendations. Each glass came with light bites of bread and veggies, perfectly simple and authentic. The ambiance was lively but local, tucked in a non-touristy area that felt like true Milan. And the wine prices? Ridiculously great. Definitely one of those “I can’t believe we found this” kind of spots. Highly recommend for any wine loving American!

Best wine bar in my life. Completely eliminated the need for road trips to the vineyard if your objective is to discover the different wines each region has to offer. Caveats: we arrived at 1030am on a Monday morning ie the time at which no other sane normal human being is thinking and able to drink; also we had the pleasure of being able to hang with Lorenzo who was the most patient passionate kind somm we’ve met. A serendipitous mention of Dolomites led us to discover the most interesting white wine we’ve had to date- the ansitz dolomytos weisswein vino bianco! Lorenzo also was the most patient in terms of us requesting “a red similar to a 2006 san Leonardo / something in between an amarone and the ceretto barberesco” we had earlier. Come earlier vs later in your trip and don’t by shy to chat them up!

Absolute vibe. The menu is the shop, can ask for recs and get lots of info and even taste before committing to a glass / bottle. Cute shop, super nice people with good service, I sat on the patio and got food across the street. Highly recommend! I spent like $45 euros for 3 people (6 glasses total)

Micheal was so kind in helping me pick a gift for my father. I tried different kinds of wines and liquors while munching on some heavenly sides they offer. The shop has a very nice energy about it and so do the people who work there. Lovely experience, I definitely urge you to go and indulge in the same. Didn't feel like it was crowded by tourism, the prices are also nice. 100% going back again next time I'm in Milan.

Amazing historical local wine bar with a mind blowing selection of wines. I had a couple of glasses of local-ish natural wines and everything was fantastic. The staff were quick and answered all my questions about the wines. I picked up a wine to go too. I will definitely be back!

If you like wine, don’t miss this place. I loved the service here, very friendly and helpful. I asked for local wines from local grapes and wasn’t disappointed by what I was given. The bar is full of bottles - so many choices! You can order by the glass or by the bottle. Food is available but we didn’t order any because we came after dinner. Find a seat then order and pay at the bar. If you’ve been to Quimet in Barcelona, this has a similar vibe but larger and more convivial.

I had a blast! The staff took their time to let me taste various whines in order to find one which matched my taste. I’m definitely not a wine pro so it was rather hard to find out which direction to go taste wise. Even though it took some time they still were friendly and helpful. Good vibes only! ;) We were given a snack plate no question asked, as well. Thats what I‘m calling good service! Definitely worth a visit if your are in Milan!

Extremely knowledgable staff and you can open any bottle you want and they will serve you by the glass. Finger food is also available and there are seating both inside the store and outside. Great selection of wine both by the glass or whole bottle. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area.

This wine bar is incredible! The atmosphere was like nothing we've experienced before. Right in the centre of China Town, we visited on a Saturday night, and it was absolutely mobbed. However, the guys behind the bar were so friendly, taking their time with each customer, ensuring you got the wine you were after, offering tastes and discussing the wines. Definitely worth a visit!

Nice wine bar. They give you wine based on your taste and you can try it before taking it. It's usually crowded, so you should stay outside and drink standing. But it is really worth it. Note that the restroom is quite old.

Incredible wine bar with a great selection of wines accompanied by yummy plates of tapas. Staff is super friendly (like everyone else has already said). You can bring your own food (we recommend the bao/dumpling stands right across from the bar) so it’s easy to spend the whole evening here. The space is small tho, so be prepared to have to eat off of your knees. Highly recommended!

We had the Best experience in Cantine Isola. Its a bit crowded because its a pretty popular place but for very good reason. The servers were so knowledgeable about wine and every recommendation they made we absolutely loved. We had a couple of Reds but We also tried orange wine here for the first time and its become our new favorite drink bec the ones they had on Hand were so good! I would definitely come back!!

What a fantastic neighborhood wine bar -- a gem in the middle of Chinatown in Milan... such character The choice of wines is overwhelming. Everyone was so friendly and warm and shared the history of the bar. I had a fantastic glass of a Gaudioso – Syrah. It had been slightly cooled to be refreshing in the heat of Milan this week. Mi sono fermato a bere un bicchiere di vino rosso il 4 maggio scorso. Ambiente carino e posto accogliente. Dopo sono andato a mangiare alla macelleria Sartori di fronte dove però non avevano vino nel menù. In modo carino mi hanno detto che potevo prenderlo fuori e berlo tranquillamente durante la cena nel loro locale. Allora son tornato alle Cantine isola per prendere una bottiglia e farmela aprire (visto che in macelleria mi avevano anche detto di non avere l'apribottiglie). Qui la sorpresa. Vino euro 24 ma per aprire la bottiglia volevano 12 euro in più. La motivazione è che c'è differenza tra acquisto per casa e consumo fuori il locale. Ho spiegato in mille modi che non avrei consumato il vino fuori la cantine isola ma in un locale seduto...in altre parole ho semplicemente chiesto la cortesia di aprirmi la bottiglia ma le folli regole interne hanno reso questa cosa impossibile. Che schifo. Preciso che non ho pagato i 12 euro e mi sono fatto aprire la bottiglia dal ristorante accanto le cantine isola. Grazie per questo pessimo servizio e per la totale assenza di flessibilità.

Fino a oggi era tra le mie vinerie di fiducia. Purtroppo ho assistito a una scena oggettivamente grave, soggettivamente traumatica: il presumibile proprietario del locale - insomma la persona più adulta, all'impressione il responsabile - ha aggredito verbalmente un dipendente (non uno di quelli che lavora a contatto con il pubblico) con urla, insulti e pugni sui bidoni sul retro del locale. Ho assistito alla scena, poiché ero al bagno situato proprio nell'area dei bidoni. Credo ci siano i margini per una segnalazione all'ispettorato del lavoro. Intano boicotterò da oggi in poi quello che era tra i miei luoghi preferiti di Milano.
