The pizza was incredible! They serve thin crust pizzas that are absolutely delicious. The upscale atmosphere, with its outdoor seating, made for a cozy dining experience. We sat next to the indoor fireplace, which was a wonderful addition during the winter/fall. The bread pudding was small but surprisingly amazing, while the tiramisu was just okay. The service was amazing, and the ambiance was amazing.
A real gem of a find in the neighborhood. Wonderful indoor and outdoor atmosphere, very nice service, and food like you’re in Italy. 🍤Pasta with shrimp was strong and the lemon heavy on the garlic but delicious. 🍅Pomodoro sauce was excellent. 🥩Short rib Ragu was rich, filling and delicious. Next time, we want to try the pizza!🍕 ➖… okay, so two weeks later we returned to try the pizza and neither of us liked it😕 I know the pizza is very popular here and highly recommended, but the first one we got was cold the second one came hot but still felt undercooked and was very doughy, ughhhh ➕On the positive side, I tried their salmon tricolor salad and it was absolutely delicious!! Next time though I will ask them to undercook the salmon🐟 Service was again very nice and charming.
Very cool! Came across this place when looking for pizza to eat. We ordered the Diavola pizza and Maccherroni bolognese. I thought I came here to eat pizza, which was good! But the bolognese is what surprised me! I had never had a bolognese this tasty! Server was very friendly and the atmosphere was awesome! A bit off-topic but there was a girl with a service dog next to our table and while I was getting in I accidentally kicked her dog's water bowl and felt so bad :( if you see this I'm so sorry!!! Reservation highly recommended. We got really lucky that we were able to walk in, but I think you're mainly supposed to reserve a table. They're very booked and busy! Also I think (at least as of this post) if you plan on going, they have a promotion for $30 off your $100+ order total so definitely take advantage of that as well if you plan on visiting!
Everything about our experience at L'Antica Pizzeria Da Michele was 5 stars and, in terms of food, VERY reminiscent of the pies we had in Naples where the stuff was invented! My wife, son, and I shared a Margherita and a pesto pie...the crust was phenomenal on both. The Margherita had the perfect amount of sauce and was cooked just like it should be. We loved these pizzas and found them to be truly authentic relative to what we were served all over Naples, including at their namesake Da Michele restaurant there. We had a reservation and saw people having to wait a little bit for a table without one, but there is plenty of seating in a restaurant which is much more modern, upscale and spacious than its Naples counterpart. (And the price goes up to match that experience, but is typical for L.A.) Service was good. The wine was good. We'd definitely go back and eat more. If you want a truly authentic Naples style pizza experience, this place is worth a visit.
My family and I came in, without a reservation, while visiting from out if town and were promptly and kindly seated. The atmosphere was lovely and the service team was very friendly and helpful. We ordered a Margarita Pizza, Casio e Pepe Pasta, Meatballs, and Seasoned Fries to share and we ate every bite. Everything was delicious! This was by far my favorite restaurant we visitors on our trip. Thank you to the team and keep up the great work:)
Delicious pizza, just as we remembered from our trip to Naples, Italy! We ordered the funghi and sausage special pizza, and loved the freshness of all their ingredients. The crust was baked perfectly. We also ordered their cream pasta with pecorino cheese. This was also delicious. Service was solid, and we loved dining al fresco in their outdoor patio in the back - super romantic and with a great view of their pizza kitchen. Pricing was a bit on the expensive side, but nothing crazy for the Hollywood area. Highly recommend!
Had lunch at L’Antica Pizzeria Da Michele and everything was amazing. The pizza, the pasta, the salad super fresh, full of flavor, and perfectly done. Drinks were great too, and the vibe is warm, relaxed, and really inviting. The space is beautiful and feels good to be in. We finished with the tiramisu light, creamy, and just the right amount of sweet. I’m definitely coming back.
I came together with my wife for dinner. I’m personally a fan of the pizzeria as I’ve discovered the Pizzeria first in Naples where the original location is. I’ve also lived in Berlin where I stopped many times at their location. Always great experience and awesome Pizza. Also here in Hollywood. It is definitely more of a fancier Hollywood restaurant and not laid back as the original. Pizza, fried eggplant parmigiana and steak were delicious. Just the potatoes were not really special and the steak could have been better, I guess it’s just not their specialization. We would still come back.
Glad that we found this authentic Italian resto nearby our place just before our ride back to LAX. We ordered their must-try margherita pizza and pomodoro pasta and it was great!! I’m with my mom and aunt and thought we won’t be able to finish everything, but we did! 😅 The simple and few ingredient pizza was thin and soooo soft, that we had to devour ALL! 😁 In just an overnight stay in LA, really glad that we’re able to experience dining here as a pizza/pasta aficionado👌🏼
Food All the food was great. The pizza, tuna salad, & black ink pescatora are all delicious. Service The host was a bit serious, but the server was great. I get its LA, but be a little more friendly. The server checked in on us a good amount of time as she gave us our space to enjoy our friends company. Atmosphere Very chill ambiance. I like it a lot. The fireplaces give the restaurant a nice touch. Future visit I'm looking forward to having a date night with my gf, to see how the service differs from the midday experience. Very chill. Enjoy!!!
If you’re looking for a great BYOB spot with amazing food, this restaurant is a must-visit! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it perfect for both casual dining and special occasions. The food is outstanding—starting with fresh, crisp salads that are light yet flavorful. Their pasta dishes are rich and satisfying, cooked to perfection with well-balanced sauces. And the steak? Tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. One of the best parts of dining here is the BYOB policy, allowing you to bring your own wine or champagne to pair with your meal. It adds a personal touch and makes the experience even more enjoyable.
This place was amazing the food was outstanding. Are waiter was Jessee R who was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu!!

Really tasty pizza and sauce. Plentiful serving of well seasoned broccolini on the side. I wish we would have eaten at the restaurant rather than takeaway. The quality of the crust degraded by the time we got back and ate - tough and too chewy. I’m sure it would have been great piping hot!
**4.4/5 🌟🌟🌟🌟✨ L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele Hollywood: Naples Comes to LA with Style** Stepped into **L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele** on Highland Ave and immediately felt transported to Italy—elegant yet relaxed, with white subway tiles, warm wood accents, and that iconic neon “da Michele” sign glowing like the original Naples location since 1870 🍕🇮🇹. The place is a stunner: a lively **eatery and bar** up front with craft cocktails and a solid Italian wine list, plus a **great patio** out back strung with lights—perfect for Hollywood people-watching on a warm evening. The **host was nice** and welcoming, seating us quickly even on a busy Friday. Service stayed attentive without hovering, and the vibe is upscale-casual—great for dates or groups. Ordered the classic **Margherita pizza**, and it arrived quickly on the signature thin, leopard-spotted crust that’s soft in the center with just the right chew. The dough is fermented perfectly—light, airy, with subtle char from the wood oven. Fresh basil and creamy fior di latte were spot-on. Only deductions because the **sauce and cheese** felt a little **light** for my taste. Traditional Neapolitan style keeps toppings minimal (respect to the VPN certification), but I personally wanted a touch more vibrant San Marzano tang and a bit more melt from the mozzarella. It’s restrained elegance rather than loaded indulgence—if you love subtle, this is heaven; if you prefer bolder flavors, you might crave extra. Still, da Michele Hollywood nails the authentic experience with polish and charm. One of the better true Neapolitan pies in LA, and the atmosphere alone is worth the visit. I’ll be back—next time on the patio with a glass of Aglianico.
There might be such a thing as TOO thin for thin crust. Let me preface by saying that I LOVE thin crust, but this was razor thin. Couldn’t pick it up without the cheese falling off at first. It was better once the pizza cooled a little, but I basically ended up eating each slice folded up like a taco. I would like to try the pasta next time, but the pizza is a no for me in the future. The pizza ultimately didn’t live up to the hype for me personally. Service was nice and all. The restaurant itself is beautiful and has tons of seating.
Others that came after us were seated before us. Front desk lady isn’t too thrilled to be there ? Lol wait time to order was interesting although it wasn’t that busy… but pizza tasted amazing. We got three different kind 2 of which were heavily charred and the other was undercooked. Cesar salad+chicken was good but dry. Tried to order a cocktail but couldn’t because it was “unavailable”. Server was helpful but I felt I had to ask many times for small things she could’ve brought on her own or asked before leaving. We had asked to sit inside due to it being hot but were encouraged to sit outside where everyone else was. Overall it is pretty expensive but the food didn’t necessarily disappoint as much as the service.

Mediocre food at outrageous prices. We ordered pasta, pizza, risotto and cocktails. Nothing was inherently bad, but there was also nothing that was terribly good either. Everything was just mid, at top notch prices. The setting is beautiful, but that's about the only compliment that I have for it. I cannot for the life of me imagine why the reviews for this place are so good. I can only assume that people have never actually had good food. I would not go back.

My experience did not align with the posted overall rating. The back patio was very pretty. I wouldn't order the eggplant appetizer again. The Margherita pizza was good, but the center was soft, not crispy. The pomodoro pasta was decent, nothing too impressive. The tiramisu was served in a cup, not a slice, and was creamy-- overall pretty good. The Sangiovese wine was very good. The service could have been more experienced. Overall I was not impressed by the experience or the food.
