Came for lunch and ordered Korean Noodle Soup and Spicy BBQ Chicken. The wait wasn't long at all. The food was good and the portions were generous. There was a small issue with one of the orders, but we were enjoying the meal and weren't going to point it out. Instead, they brought it up on their own and made it right. Customer service is top notch. We have enough leftovers for dinner! We will definitely go back.
Really good food and portion of protein. Very clean place and good service. And it’s right next door to us. Will definitely come back.
I like this place. The food is simple yet tasty. The recipes seems healthy compared to traditional Korean food. There's only a few dishes offered but sometimes, that's all you need. This technique keeps their overall cost down and food prep consistent. Because almost every dish is popular, it's a must to try them all. I for one have not yet ventured beyond Bibimbop because it's really good and very affordable. For newbies, this dish is essentially a bowl of healthy rice, seasoned vegetables and your choice of meat optionally spicy, of course. The restaurant seats at best 30 maybe, cozy yet accommodating. It's our go to Korean restaurant for now. I highly recommend it.
My favorite Korean restaurant. Menu items never fail to please. Service is exceptional.
- seafood pancake ($15) - kimchi fried rice ($15) nothing hits the spot the way their seafood pancake and kimchi fried rice w/beef [not pictured] did! their kimchi fried rice was so rich in flavor and the crunchy/crispiness of the seafood pancake makes my mouth water just thinking about these two dishes -chef kiss-!! i have to add that out of all the fishcake banchan i tried at other places - spoon Korean bistro's fishcake banchan is one of the best ones ive tried. 10/10 would come back again to try other dishes. tip: unisex bathroom available, family & kids friendly, lots of parking available
My husband and I went here for lunch on a Saturday and had a great experience. It wasn’t too busy so we sat immediately. Our server was very attentive and sweet. Asking if we needed anything (more side dishes, water, etc) Big portions and all delicious. Highly recommend this place!
A very tasty modern-ish Korean spot. The ddeokbokki with ramen and fishcakes was delicious. The ddeok was so squishy I could eat it forever... The kimchi pancake was massive and thick and nicely cut into more manuverable pieces. The staff was friendly and very fast. The seating area isn't all too big but tables turn over quickly and the food is worth waiting for.
My go-to Korean restaurant. Perfect for family. The portions were generous and the price was very reasonable. Would definitely go again for the bibimbap!
Came here cuz I was craving bibimbap and I got my fix in plus left overs. The portions are massive and the service was fast. I enjoyed my meal here and would come back
Nice little Gem in the middle of chaos. While stuck in the middle of traffic we realized it would be too late to eat by the time we get home to Tracy so we pulled over in the Denny's shopping center and found this place. Thank goodness we stopped! We were a bit sceptical because of the area but it was just perfect. Excellent homemade dishes with fantastic flavors. The service was great, the portions were just right and the atmosphere was cozy. I couldn't wait to get home to polish off the leftovers. Mind you we could have passed out from the food coma of eating too much while we were at the restaurant but we had just the right amount of food leftover for a touch up if you know what I mean. I would definitely recommend this place as an authentic Korean flavor for you to Try.
Upon entry into Spoon Korean Bistro, we found the premise to be really clean but slightly warm as it was a really sunny day today. We looked through the menu and decided to have Ginseng Chicken Soup ($26) and the daily special – Bibimbap ($17). However, after we noticed the sign to order at the counter, the lady Boss had approached us to take our orders. Otherwise, the usual ordering process would be to browse through the menu and head over to the counter to order and make payment on the spot. Water is complimentary from the self-serve container next to the counter. Not long after, the Banchan - Korean side dishes were served. There were 9 options altogether including Korean fish cake, kimchi, seaweed, cucumber, broccoli and more. Not sure if they were refillable because by the time we got to the end of our meal, WE WERE SO FULL!!! 😂😂😂 For the full details and review of our 5 months Round The World (RTW) travels, visit 2bearbear today!
Delicious authentic Korean food. Friendly attentive service. Family friendly clean atmosphere.
Super delicious food! Very tasty and big portions! Love love the kimchi fried rice with chicken! The tofu soft soup was nice it just melted in my mouth. It is literally a block away from my hotel room along with many other shops. The cashier was super friendly and gave me almost all of my requests which is almost nothing really spicy and oddly the restaurant has a lot of spicy 🌶 foods...he worked with me hello!!!! That’s what I like!
We had an enjoyable lunch at Spoon. Food has good portion and is very tasty. Service is friendly but can be slow as there is only one server. Still I highly recommend you to try.
This place is absolutely delicious, I wonder sometimes if I’m going to get enough, not something I had to worry about here. And a variety of flavors all in one order delicious.
OMG by far one of the best Bibimbaps I've ever tried! Also liked the vegetable pancakes & Spicy Tofu Ramen, the flavors are just too good. Definitely coming back to try other dishes.
Very good Korean food and service! I like the vegetarian tofu stew and kim chee pancakes! The side dishes for the meal made a great compliment to the meal! Looking forward to returning!
Delicious Korean food!! Service was great and food was even better. All the items we ordered had great portion size and tasted awesome. Highly recommended and i will be back!
A nice and simple local Korean restaurant. The food and service are good, the menu is straight forward and the pricing is reasonable. I love their kimchi, it’s not sour like most kimchi, it has a savory and strong peppery flavor which I love.
Done extremely well ,food quality is amazing,
The food is delicious, the service from the owner is great, and the prices are reasonable. It's a restaurant you'll want to come back to again and again. Highly recommended!
Lovely family owned and operated restaurant. They are first to welcome you in with a "hello" and a smile. Very attentive and food was delicious. One of the best tofu soup I've had that was tasty and light. Sides were great and the kimchi was spicy! Just how i like it! Will definitely return!
Spoon deserves 5 stars. The food and service is really good, including their side dishes. I always order porkbelly with rice and tofu soup at there.
Finally stopped by to try this place and I’m so glad I did! I went with the Beef Bibimbap and an order of the 5-piece Sweet & Sour wings for togo. The Bibimbap was fantastic—generous portion, super fresh veggies, and the beef was seasoned perfectly. It really hit the spot. The wings were honestly the highlight for me, though. They stayed super crispy even with the sauce, and the sweet & sour flavor was addictive without being too heavy. Great vibes and solid food. Definitely coming back to try more of the menu!

This restaurant has a great variety of Korean dishes that are all done very well, and the banchan is free (many places have started charging). Prices are standard for the bay area.

Happened upon it while passing through the area and liked it. Not normally in the neighborhood but would make the effort to return next time we are. Dinner for 3 was about $90 with tip and no drinks. Liked the spicy pork and kimchee rice. They were not generous with the little side dishes of stuff you get with an entree of meat and not a ton of variety but they gave us what we asked for and we liked all of it.
Tried the tofu spicy kitchen fried rice and honestly, it was just too sour for me—so overpowering that I couldn’t really eat it on its own. I managed to eat some of it with egg, which balanced it a little, but overall the flavor was overwhelming. The food was okay otherwise, and I will say the service was good—friendly and fast. Not sure I’d go back for the same dish though.
Tasty dishes and plentiful. Service quick and dishes were prepared nicely. Seating a little limited but over good spot.
decent restaurant but a bit understaff Jab Chae korean glass noodle with vegetables such as mushroom, bell pepper it tastes good but the portion is a bit smaller than expected Soft Tofu Stew you can pick your protein such as beef, pork, seafood (price will be different based on the choices of protein) it is good but not the best tofu soup in bay area they offer weekday lunch special (Mon - Thu)

Food quality is decent and acceptable. Prices are extremely high for the portions that they provide. If you're looking to spend $15 on a meal, you'll barely get enough to satisfy your hunger. I would highly consider other places to eat if you're trying to get full for a more reasonable price.
We were excited to try this place after reading the stellar reviews and everything on the menu sounded delicious. Unfortunately, the food was just pretty meh. I ordered the spicy chicken bibimbap, hoping for a piping hot bowl of crispy rice and yummy toppings, but it came out cold with a lot of raw vegetables that just didn't work well at that temperature. Wife said her tofu soup was alright. Staff was friendly enough
I love their Tofu soup and Galbi BBQ but their seafood pancake is super thick and loaded with uneven flour mixture and it is not crispy I hope they can work on it. Pretty Decent korean resto but needs to re visit their menu and the cooking execution. Friendly service.

It wasn’t very good, I had the tofu soup and it tasted like salt. The flavour was very one dimensional. As someone who grew up eating Korean food, I wouldn’t recommend it, there are better ones in the area
My coworker and me ordered soft tofu soup. Last time our orders come with 4 small side dishes. This time they only gave one side dish. We called and were told that “sorry, we are busy, so only one side dish today. Next time you will have 4 side dishes”. WHAT!!!!???? are you oh kidding me? I understand you might have no time to pack 4 side dishes for our orders as you explained over the phone with your broken English. Then shouldn’t you provide a discount?? We paid the full price! Oh btw…. My coworker saw you put 4 side dishes in other people’s orders……. We offered to go back picking up other side dishes, guess what? the lady hung up! Unbelievable…. Bad service
good food horrible wait time, only one waiter and cooks are slow 1 year later: food is not good, pork tonkatsu had a weird sauce, and veggie dumplings had something which was suspiciously like meat. highly do not recommend coming. also a lot of tables were dirty, waiter slow to do tasks
Foods are ok, the service are sucks. The service girl has very rude attitude. All of my family feel nervous to ask help from her. If you ask services from her after she will look at you very unfriendly and bring your food very strong and loud to put on your table. Unbelievable to get service like this way in the United States. You will get the feeling discriminates against from the young Asian girl. Not recommended this place. Be careful guys.
I ordered pork rib soup, the soup was okay but towards the end of my meal I found there was a worm in the soup. The owner of the restaurant just say it was from the cabbage and that’s all. Seems it is normal to have worm in their soup
Food tasted like frozen section of KP market that was heated up. Service was not good. They didn't refill our empty bottle of water used to refill our own water cups. Water cups smelled gross before we even poured the water in it. They didn't refill our kimchi. Basic service for a Korean place with barely any ppl in it was lacking. I give 2 stars because they had a smile on their face but no sense for how service in a Korean restaurant should be. Kimchi dumplings did not taste like kimchi or had any cabbage in it at all. And we mentioned it to them but nothing was done about it. Spam kimbap was just raw spam cut up and put in it. Atleast grill the spam first. Pork belly was flavorless. Menu says there was suppose to be lettuce too wrap the kbbq with but it never came out. Cabbage was just steamed and unseasoned. Not even a little salt. Pork Belly tasted like it was boiled and then pan fried. Not very flavorful and soft. The Korean Noodle Soup was kind of salty and spicy but not much as far as flavor. There was a little flavor but not much. The noodles absorbed into the broth so easily and made the broth thick even though the soup was still really hot. We didn't like the thick broth. The Job's Tears drink tastes like the little packets you get in a box from KP market. Just mixed with water. Nothing special about it but it wasn't bad.
