This is my third time here! I love this place! I get The mushroom tacos and shrimp!! Don’t get me started about Francisco! You have to wait in a line to take your order, and Francisco will help you order no problemo! He doesn’t bite! He’s so friendly! Anyway, I wanna Try the mar y Tierra fries next… that’s grilled shrimp with angus steak fries with sour cream and guac! Omg don’t forget if you’re big backing GWT THE CHURROS!!! Love this place! Thank you my friends!!

The family and I love this place. The food is great, the service is always good and it’s always packed. It reminds me of a taco spot in TJ! The manager, I believe his name is Jose Gil, was very pleasant and helpful. The churros are a MUST here! Lines always out the door but it moves fast. 10/10 I recommend :)

I was SO happy knowing that taco stand open in MV! Been to other locations and love their food. So glad that the quality of their meat and taste are consistent. I #1 go to is the Baja taco. Then the pork! I just discovered that they change "brand" of their chips. Yesterday when I was there, bought it again and taste thicker and feel more corn on it. Not sure if I like it... but over all just the matter of me getting used to it again. If I could vote, I prefer the old brand's of chips. Still highly recommended! Oh dont forget the churros, it's made on the spot, warm, fresh and delicious 😋

Tacos were great. I highly recommend the Al Pastor. The tortillas were made by hand. Excellent salsa bar! The lines can get long and parking may not be the easiest.

LOVED the food from The Taco Stand!!! If you want authentic tacos that taste exactly like tacos you’d order from Tijuana or Mexico this is exactly the place. Everything was so tasty, made in house (even the tortillas), and well seasoned, the salsa was so flavorful, my husband and I WILL be back for more bc whewww the food is good as heck😮‍💨

I came here by chance and glad I did. Very fast, very tasty. If in the area will come again. Sorry no pics of food, but I was so hungry and tacos were so good. Not a fancy place, if you are looking for one. Fast- and-good food. The line goes fast, and plenty of tables inside.

"Wow! The Taco Stand in Mission Viejo has exceeded all my expectations! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the warm and friendly smiles of Luisa and Gladys, who made us feel right at home. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating, and the salsa bar is a delightful addition. The food at The Taco Stand is simply amazing! I couldn't decide between the carne asada and the polo asada, so I ended up getting both, and I'm so glad I did. The flavors were incredible, and the quality of the ingredients was evident in every bite. It's no wonder we loved it.. it’s amazing the Manager Evelio stopped by to say hello; it’s the team members at The Taco Stand that are something truly special. Even though I've been to the Costa Mesa location many times, this was my parents' first visit, and they were blown away. They loved how fresh and clean everything was, and they couldn't stop raving about the delicious food. The Taco Stand in Mission Viejo is definitely going to be our go-to spot for family dinners from now on. I highly recommend it to anyone who craves authentic and mouthwatering Mexican cuisine. Thank you, Taco Stand, for providing such a fantastic dining experience!" I hope this review encourages you to be adventurous and try something new!

I went on Saturday afternoon. The food came out fast considering how busy they were. Ricardo took our at the register. He was extremely helpful suggesting what I would like. I got a couple tacos, pastor fries and churros. The churros were delicious. Highly recommend. Will definitely be going again.

Visited The Taco Stand in Mission Viejo and was blown away by the authentic Mexican flavors. The handmade tortillas and fresh ingredients make a real difference. Their tacos, burritos, and nachos are generously filled with flavorful meat. Ricardo and his staff provide warm, friendly service that enhances the rustic charm. And don’t forget to save room for the churros—they’re incredible! Definitely the go-to spot for authentic and delicious tacos in SoCal!

Worth the wait, the line goes quick. Rustic charm with fast friendly service. Food is authentic. Carne Asada tacos are the way to go but everything is good. Place is clean. Salsa bar gives options you don't see everywhere. This is a must to come here.

The line out the door speaks for itself. The flavors are what you'd expect to find across the border in TJ, so grab a friend and prepare to wait. Once you've ordered, your name will be called pretty quickly, but everything tastes so fresh and authentic. Prices are really good, too. I spent $10 + tip for a grilled Mahi Mahi and a grilled shrimp, and I could only finish one and a half. So good. I'll be back. With friends!

I experienced exceptional customer service at this establishment when I ordered the burrito. The food was excellent, and I encountered no issues whatsoever; the portion size was generous. I highly recommend this location, as the pricing was reasonable. I will certainly return with friends and family.

The taco stand stands above the rest! The food is excellent!! The staff is very friendly the cooks can do a little cooking that's for sure! and the atmosphere has a cool low-key feel. The last time I was there Yaveli greeted me with a big smile as she always does. She's super nice and very helpful. The younger girl that works the register as well is very kind. She even asked about how I was doing physically after I told her the week before I was having some medical tests done. It is clearly a diamond in the rough especially in mission Viejo. And if you're wondering I am not family, friends or an employee, just a food lover and lover of good service and that's what you will receive at the Taco stand. Not to mention a killer baja fish taco and chicken or pastor burrito!! Cheers!

Oh. My. God!!!! Bomb!!!! I order chips & guacamole, asada taco & pollo asado burrito. The minute I tried the chips i knew. The tacos was sooo good. Next time im going to get an asada burrito. The chicken was good but the asada was where it’s at. The salsas were very tasty! I’m glad I tried a variety of them. I think my favorite was the creamy cilantro. My only regret is not ordering a single flour tortilla on the side so I can take it home & add some butter & I should’ve gotten the churros. Next time for sure!

This place exceeded my expectations. I had the California Burrito. The meat was charred and seasoned perfectly, and tender not tough. The flavor was absolutely on point, and the crunchy potato inside was a winner. I was actually shocked how good this burrito was! The sauce and salsa station was filled with lots of yummy choices that tasted fresh, not canned. The staff was friendly, fast, and served with a smile. What else could you ask for? 5 Stars all the way here

The Taco Stand is hands down my all-time favorite taco spot. Everything just hits every single time. The tortillas are always freshly made, the portions are BIG, and it’s 100% worth the price. This is my family’s go-to spot—we literally come here every single week, and they never miss. The staff is always super friendly and welcoming, which just makes the experience even better. Highkey recommend trying their tacos, burritos, and sides—you really can’t go wrong. And their chips?? Addictive. I could eat them nonstop. If you’re looking for consistently amazing food and good vibes, this is the place.

The Taco Stand is really really good and I would definitely recommend going here. First thing that stands out is the prices. The tacos are super reasonably priced for the size and quantity you get which honestly made me order way more than I planned because it just made sense. Flavor is 100 percent there. I ended up getting the carne asada pollo asada pescado Baja and el pastor and all of them were great. They have this avocado lime dressing and salsa verde on the side and those pair perfectly with every taco. The Baja fried fish taco had a great crunch and a solid punch of flavor with the lime. Carne asada and el pastor were also top tier especially with the avocado and pico combo. Those were easily favorites. But honestly the number one taco for me was the pescado shrimp taco. I was surprised how good it was. Big chunky shrimp like four or five solid pieces packed into a small taco with tons of flavor which you usually dont get. Huge win there. Now the biggest miss by far was the churros which was a massive bummer because churros are my favorite dessert. They were basically like donuts super fluffy doughy not crunchy at all and just not it. Honestly probably the worst churros I have ever had which shocked me because they seem so simple. Even the sauce couldnt save them I would rather eat the sauce by itself. So yeah churros are a hard pass but tacos absolutely worth it. Go for the tacos skip the churros.

The pescado (fish) burrito was good. The selection of salsas and condiments is large. My friends enjoyed their food as well. Although the carne asada burritos were wet and drippy. Good al pastor as well. An order of fries are shareable. The prices a bit high for the size of the burritos/tacos

Pretty unusual name for a Mexican restaurant given the crazy amount of actual taco stands in the surrounding areas. This was my first time, and I ordered the Pescado tacos (grilled fish). They were nicely portioned and had a lot of ingredients. The fish was fresh, and the salsa bar was well stocked. The place claims to have homemade tortillas. Unfortunately, the tortillas completely disintegrated upon picking up my taco, so if I were to order the same again, I would personally request double tortillas. Perhaps it had more ingredients than a taco can hold. The salsa bar is small, and it was pretty crowded, where you had to wait several minutes for your turn. The dining room is pretty much the same size as your average fast food joint, so even if it's not that crowded, it looks crowded. With that said, the tacos were great in taste, I just had to eat them with a fork. The average price for a taco is $4 to $5 bucks. They also have vegetarian options and the venue serves alcohol. The reason I won't give it 5 stars on food is because handmade tortillas don't usually crumble unless they're not fresh.

The Taco Stand is easily one of my favorite places to eat and in my opinion has the best burrito in California. The California burrito is my go-to and it never disappoints. Make sure to ask for extra cheese—it takes the burrito to another level. The meat is always fresh, the flavors are bold, and the portions are generous. The sauces are also amazing, you can dip or double dip into whichever one you like, and every single one adds a different kick that keeps things exciting. The vibe is casual and fun, with that authentic street-style taco shop feel. The staff is always friendly and the food comes out fast, even when it’s busy. Most of the time there’s a line out the door, but that just shows how popular it’s gotten. Honestly, the wait is worth it every time. If I had to mention a con, it would be the salsa and sauce bar. With only one station and so many customers, the line gets backed up quickly. Sometimes I spend more time waiting there than at the register. A second sauce bar would make a big difference. Overall though, this place is a gem. The food is fresh, flavorful, and consistently delicious. Whether you’re grabbing a burrito, tacos, or just want to enjoy the sauces with chips, The Taco Stand is always worth the trip.

Really good place for Mexican food! You can find some of the best tacos and burritos in Orange County here. The flavors are fresh and authentic, and the portions are generous. The place can get a bit busy during peak hours, but it’s definitely worth the wait. 🌮🌯

The baja fish tacos (3 of them) were not fully cooked. The one bite I had was delicious until I saw how rare it was. The al pastor was amazing! I’ll have to try again. They didn’t seem too concerned about serving us raw fish. Next time I’ll check before digging in. Very busy.
