The wife and I stopped in and had an amazing experience. The food was delicious. The drinks were tasty... and best of all the waitress was amazing... we would definitely eat here again....
Went back for lunch because I had a coupon. The food was tasty, as usual. I've never had a bad meal here. I had the green chili and jalapeno Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. This is one of my favorite dishes here. The service is good and they have (I believe) 50 beers on tap. It's a great place for the family or a group. The atmosphere is a cross between Italian restaurant and sports bar. The menu had something for everyone. You really can't go wrong here. It's a little on the pricy side, but we enjoy it enough to drive 40 minutes to have lunch here, just not frequently. If you haven't been, give it a try. I doubt you'll be disappointed.
Their SPICY ROMANO CHICKEN PASTA is my favorite. I tried their wedged salad which was surprisingly very good. I've ordered family pasta platters to go & they don't last long.
Dinner was delicious. Our server, Jaylyn was the best ever. She was very attentive and treated us very well, always with a great attitude and a smile.
Okay, idk why lol, but I love Johnny Carinos! Idk it's good to me and it's a place I enjoy going. I've tried the lobster ravioli, which was great, and the mozzarella sticks are more like squares (theyre big!) The chicken bow tie was my most recent dish, so I involved a pic!

Absolutely delicious pasta
Staff was young and energetic, Beautiful building from the outside, easy to find well placed. Has very pretty plants and lighting was amazing. I like the vibe and theme to the place, has a warm welcoming feel. Price was equally matched with the food. Overall very good place for a social outing or family night.

Johnny Carino's has been a favorite of mine since it came to Modesto. It has changed quite a bit over the years. Now it is 2 restaurants in one building. One side is more intimate and classic Italian the other side is BBQ sport bar feeling. The manager is always very polite and checks on you frequently. Pricing is crazy, but you can expect a similar cost to any other sit down diner.

We have not been here in a few years. We decided to go back as I was craving the Baked Cheese Tortellini. My wife ordered the 8 oz steak with potato wedges. She thought the steak was just ok. The Tortellini dish I ordered was delicious. They gave us extra bread and kept our drinks full. The service was good. This place has really gone downhill. The tables are sticky and the restaurant is very unclean. It’s really sad to see. Ever since they made this into a sports bar, it’s not been the same. This is where my wife and I had our first date in 2008 and our wedding rehearsal dinner in 2011. We won’t be in a hurry to come back if we decide to.
It's a bit confusing about The Happy Hour advertising. The drinks were confusing and the prices weren't clear. The lobster ravioli was tasty, and the stuffed mushrooms appetizer was very tasty, too. Both dishes were flavorful. I would return again. I think service could have been better. Maybe because it was the end of the night, so I would give it another chance.
So It was my 1st time here..our server was nice..atmosphere was good..loud...well lit..great place to hang out and have some beers..my only dislike was my plate & my daughters and cousin..we got the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken but in green chili sauce...our plates were dry..our noodles were overcooked and some were hard..also lacked taste..maybe one day I'll try it again and get a better experience
The location and food are really good, I ordered a fried calamari and a spicy shrimp pasta, the atmosphere it was very relax but service really slow, we wait 45 min to get ready our food

All around the experience was OK. There was good and there was not so good. When we arrived there were very few tables occupied. When we left they were very few tables empty. Actually one server for the whole dining area. She did have some help from the hostess and a food runner. But it was a job for her. She should’ve had another server. We started with the deep fried raviolis. They were very good but they were OVERPRICED. Four raviolis for $11. Nope! My son ordered the three meat pizza. He enjoyed it. $21 The dough was good but I’m sure it comes frozen. I ordered the $16 special…endless salad, fettuccine Alfredo and all you can eat lasagna. The salad was weird. It’s like they took all the fixing off of the pizza line and put it in a bowl and called it a salad. The dressing could be better…maybe add a little balsamic. The fettuccine Alfredo was meh. I definitely would not order that as a meal. The first lasagna I received was just OK. It certainly was not freshly made or it was left in the oven too long. I did ask for a refill on the lasagna and the second was definitely amazing compared to the first one. The noodles were actually cooked, it was hot and freshly made with melted cheese over the top and actual meat in the sauce. I was impressed. I wish the first one would’ve been as good. The second one was so good that I would be happy just to have endless lasagna for dinner forget the salad and forget the fettuccine Alfredo. Overall I think three stars is fair. Considering the food, the price and the service. I’m not sure we’ll be back I’d be more inclined to go next-door to famous Dave’s!

My Aunt & I visit family for the Christmas Holidays. She enjoys dining at this establishment every year, however; we were disappointed with our recent lunch experience. The restaurant now has a shared space with a separate restaurant. It's a bit odd as there are no walls dividing the two businesses. The kitchen & bathrooms are also shared by the two establishments. My Aunt's favorite dish on the menu is the Angel Hair Pasta with Artichokes, however; the server informed us that Angel Hair pasta is no longer offered. The dish is now made with spaghetti. My Aunt was disappointed but ordered the dish anyway. The food was hot and delivered to our table in a timely manner but the Spaghetti with Artichokes did not include Artichokes. When this was brought to our servers attention she informed us they were sold out of artichokes This was surprising to hear since the restaurant opened at 11:45am and we arrived at 12:05pm The server asked if my Aunt wanted to order something else in its place but my Aunt was not interested. My Aunt asked our server if Spaghetti with Artichokes could be taken off our bill. The server asked her manager and it was taken off our bill. My Aunt had also wanted decaf tea or decaf coffee but neither were available. I enjoyed a glass of red wine and the Stuffed Mushrooms. Our server was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately we decided to not return in the future.

Over 30 mins to even get our drinks about 30mins to get salads, and the appetizers were put out 15 mins after the salad. Then food came out a few mins after. It was cold and was not like what was advertised on tv. During that time, others came in, but a majority walked out. 7 people were in the places all waiting. The server assistant was rude and talking badly about customers who were waiting but left. She was speaking rudely about the customers in front of the house where we could all see and hear her. She had an attitude the whole time and didn't even try to say sorry. Finally got our food it was cold. We did speak to the manager, and she did comp the meal. During our wait, we watch 8 people walk out by the time we got our food. We will not be going back, I hope that no one else will have to have the same experience.
I'm not the type to leave a review, but I had to in this case. There has been a change in the menu. We came for boneless wings and ended up with chicken nuggets. I would not recommend for anyone to buy these "nuggets". I paid $15 for 10 boneless wings "nuggets". I rather go to McDonald's and buy a 20 piece for $5. I would give zero stars if I could but the app won't allow me to. We won't be going back, highly disappointed.
The table was sticky. The bathroom was disgusting. Floors and seats have obvious build up and the main door window hasn't been wiped in months. My chicken marcela sauce was uncooked wine with separated oil. My kids didn't like the pizza. The menu was overpriced for the quality of food. It is a large portion of food but not prepared properly.
Horrible! Dirty, dirty, dirty!! The only thing good was the bread. Chicken was burnt, Pizza was burnt, and the sauce for the spaghetti..pretty sure Prego. This place has gone down hill!

I was told that I would receive a lasagna family meal per sam for a incident that occurred in the restaurant . i also order grilled chicken parmigiana w/ spaghetti and a Caesar salad I was paying for for I arrived to pick it up I was met with drama by the manager I told him that’s fine I would just leave my order I gave the manager $100 bill because he insisted I take the order he refused to take it when I got home the food looked horrid the chicken parmigiana looked like it had cheese slices like the plastic wrapped the lasagna was a small portion for maybe 3 not the usual family meal . We will not be coming back .
Every time I go to this place, usually someone else's choice, I am disappointed, the food and service is just horrible! I cannot understand how this restaurant stays in business!!
Oh man we were looking forward to a nice pasta lunch and what a crime. It was so bad. The chicken Parmesan was so hard sent it back and came back burned. Spaghetti was not good. Meatball was ok but found out it was 5 dollars for one. . Sad. Nooo never coming back.

Went there at 1pm and we were the only 2 there. It was so cold, we were shivering, and I'm not exaggerating. The Waitress said they had to keep it cold because when it gets busy, it gets hot in there. Again we were the only 2 in there. My bf loves 1 of the pasta dishes, which he liked. I ordered chicken ceaser, which i was unaware came with tomatoes and black olives. The waitress took it back and had it remade like a normal ceaser, which still wasn't very good. Chicken was dry, overcooked. That place had gone down hill and unfortunately we will not be going back.
