This branch of Taco Bell had some of the friendliest staff that we encountered on our trip to California. We'd arrived late in Modesto and even though they were just about to close they gladly let us order some food to take away. Really friendly and chatty and the food was exactly what we were after!

Let me just say this. It was a long day/evening at work, im pregnant and was starving. I passed up the speaker on accident and the guy at the window was understanding and still let me order. I don't know if he knew how much that meant as a pregnant woman 🤗 5 stars from me!

Downtown Modesto, across the street from the bus station.... A tremendous amount of people push through the doors of this Taco-Bell.... business people, travelers and people who live nearby. It's ALWAYS clean....the bathroom CLEAN. The staff are polite and fast, without giving people the wrong order. Commendable, considering the amount of people they serve.....without a doubt I recommend this Taco-Bell to anyone who is thinking about stopping for a quick bite to eat. Moving down the freeway.... It's a minute and a half from the on or off-ramp!!!

Drive thru cashier was totally helpful. I asked him if restrooms were open and he said yes after I grabbed my order. I walk in and the dine in cashier tried to stop me from using the restroom but the drive thru cashier showed up and opened up the restroom for me. 5 stars for the drive thru cashier. 0 stars for the dine in guy. I used to be a shift leader at Taco Bell and we never treated customers that way. This was on 3/18 at approx 8:20 am

The only good experience in this town was tacobell they got my order wrong but made up for it got a room @ motel 6 check in @3pm got got bgg here @ 330am no one let us use the restroom except tacobell yes i had to buy food but amazing customer service super nice people working here on11/20 1130noon tell you what long drive from Longview Washington motel wouldn't let us use the restroom mr hanky was not happy will not be returning if i could anyways thanks tacobell much appreciated your kindness

Plug outlets are blocked to prevent homeless people to hang out. 20 minute time limit in the lobby to prevent lingering. (I'm assuming for the homeless to not annoy the workers.) Locked bathrooms so drug users don't sit in the toilet for hours. 24 hour drive through. Staff are just trying to do their service job and are respectful. Tuesday drops create a little wait time since it is downtown, respect the people that make your food and please be patient and respectful you're not the only customer.

At 2:00 pm on 10/03/23 I ordered a number 8 and it was the best Doritos tacos i had in a long time. Well put together, evenly spread, and fresh lettuce and tomatoes. I will only go to this Taco Bell for my craving now. Thank you!

There isn't much I can eat at these places, but I do find myself hanging out here every now and then. Today on 8/08/22 at 4:01pm I witnessed the best service this place has ever offered at any location I have ever been to. Not only was it super busy with an angry narcissist at the ordering menu-- but the crew kept it cool and together. Highly recommend getting off the 99 freeway for this one before corporate finds out and moves the employees somewhere the ill equipped don't linger *cough cough moi cough sneeze* they also let one use the restroom 🚻 ikr? In this day and age!?

I had a pretty pleasant experience here today. Came by and picked up a cravings pack and a few sof tacos. Everything is as usual, which is a good thing. I never really have had and issue with a Taco Bell anywhere. I just wanted to show some love to this one in particular. The wait was okay in the drive thru and the workers at this location were pretty cool. I always enjoy waiting in my car calmly without some 19 year old kid screaming with the window open. I'd check it out and grab a bite at this one here. Cool staff. Relaxing wait. No kid spitting in your face while you're sitting in your car waiting. Thanks people at this Taco Bell. You guys do good.

I am a Taco Bell expert and this Taco Bell is the best in Stanislaus County—possibly the whole state. The two wonderful ladies there during my Taco Bell schedule are Bianca and Karissa, and they are extraordinary at providing immaculate customer service while also cooking up the best Taco Bell you’ve ever had. They can do it all and they have seen it all as they work the busy weekend nights and this location does get very busy due to its downtown location and 24 hour service. Respect to the Taco Bell on 9th street—they are extremely valuable members of this community and should not be taken for granted!

Went here around 8:00 p.m. And just driven 100 miles and I was hungry through the drive-thru the employee working. The drive-thru had a very deep and sexy voice lol. Just a young gentleman but that voice of his. Anyways, the food was wonderful in the service was top notch. Definitely recommend this place

I had trouble figuring out what to eat, the kiosk was still new to me and I didn’t know how to function it, before I was helped on doing so two young men mikel and rafael were extremely polite and kept it very professional, they brought the energy and made my experience 10x more enjoyable. I tried the new 7$ box and what a deal!!! If it wasn’t for those two young men I would have paid over 20$ for the order. Two great young workers!

We had ordered two food bowls with sides of fiesta potatoes and two drinks and were to be delivered by a DoorDash driver. The driver didn’t leave the drinks nor follow any instructions left for them. We came to Taco Bell because the Drinks weren’t included. We faced no issues and no problems, they quickly refunded the drinks, apologized to us for the inconvenience, even when it wasn’t their fault. The woman we spoke too was very polite and well spoken, the employees were wonderful and had great attitudes. Will definitely be returning to this establishment.

Make sure you have everything you paid for, at this location ,otherwise if was good. Of course the new cheesy shredded beef taco with dip is 10 times bigger in the commercial than in reality.

We got the 5 dollar box it's a lot of food for a pretty low price. The staff were amazing. Very polite and patient.

I told my man I was Here he said order me Burrito Supreme & Taco Supreme ! I gave it too him he was Happy ! He is Already Telling his next order to get him ! But my rewards wasn't working ?

This place is obviously too busy for it's own good. I got there at about 12:30pm and the place was packed. About 10 cars deep in the drive thru and about 10 people in line inside but there was one of two self serve kiosks available to order. So I skipped the line and made the order myself. As much mayhem as there was today I must say staff here stayed on top of orders but obviously another cashier was needed to deal with such a high volume of customers. One other thing I didn't like was having to ask the security guard to use the bathroom but I understand given the area why it is needed. 4 stars for still supplying good product eventhough being so busy.

I have always been a customer, but since they've raised the prices alot, you'd think the cashiers would be nice! And I hate that they got rid of the nachos Supreme & chicken soft tacos, which were my favorite items!

As an ex EMPLOYEE of this Taco Bell, it’s fairly ok, just as long as you’re kind and aren’t rude, we’ll gladly help you out. Why I don’t give this 5 stars is 1, the location, it’s downtown Modesto. 2, lots of homeless like to sleep/leave a mess outside/inside/bathrooms. They also stole my bike out front where the cameras couldn’t catch said thief. But overall that’s about it!

The service was great. The food was good. My son really liked the grilled cheese gordita and he is NOT a fan of taco bell. The only reason I gave 4 stars was because the customer behind me was kept waiting.

I love this Taco Bell! Just this was not a good night (Friday evening I believe) for them. Short staffed so things were hectic! So I suggest that customers be patient when they see this! The employees can only do so much! Again, I love me some Taco Bell!!! So patience everyone!!

Easy to find in a place not driven to before

My go to place when we're hungry in need of a meal. Taco Bell cravings is a real thing. The cheesey rice and bean burrito will hold it's own in a fast food venue including some taco tucks, hot dogs and maybe pizza slices. I'm saying the new American burrito rivals the weiner, for under two bucks and no membership required.

Haven't tried the food yet, will sample it in Fresno.

This cup is a large. It's like 8oz. Everything seems so smaller now even the Taco Supreme used to be larger. What's going on? 🤷‍♀️

It's Taco Bell what more is there to say, made the mistake of going during the lunch rush. They were all out of the mild sauce and when it was brought to their attention they blew me off like it was an everyday thing. To me that's bad management the manager should have ordered accordling. A customer behind me wanted a couple of orders of the fries and was told that they have been out for 6 weeks now, again bad management they should order more of an item if they are selling that much of it.

So i only go to taco Bell during midnight hours. They are cheap and good. But they are usually busy even at 1am and the cooks seem overwhelmed sometimes. Food orders can take awhile.

I have a VERY sensitive palette when it comes to spicy foods, so when I ordered the new double stack meal, I specifically asked for nothing spicy. Anyway, they put red chips on one of the items, and when I took it back up and asked for a new one (without the chips), one of the associates argued with me, telling me it wasn't spicy. I finally told the guy, "please just remake it, or give me my money back". Well they finally remade it, but I still couldn't eat it because it had Nacho Cheese on it (which has a kick to it that I can't handle). They were VERY disrespectful and if this happens again, I WILL be reporting it to Corporate. The only reason they got 3 stars instead of just 1 is because my mom works there and I have no problems with them (getting my order correct) when she's working.

Staff was friendly but the meat in tacos was so cold the grease looked like it was in the fridge. Maybe it was because they were training new staff. I've always had great experiences at this Taco Bell other then today.

Drive thru cashier had an attitude that she had to hold my drink while i put my change away. Got home and my order is WRONG. You d think being 2018 fast food could figure out how NOT to screw up an order at this point

Taco bell taco bell, my taco salad kinda tasted like garbage last time. Usually pretty good customer service. Wink at that cute young lady who offered me a water for my cotton mouth. This one is alright tell you fast food ain't what it used to be. Kinda eww

This Taco bell is about average when it comes to other Taco bells. Not to clean. Service is bland. Food like the breakfast bacon quesadia is good but they randomly mess it up. One time I just got a regular cheese and by the time I got to work I was mad since it was wrong no egg or bacon. At least it's close to my work and food price not as high as other fast food.

Forgot a item on my order

I ve pulled off the freeway about 10 times to run through the drive through. The first 8x they were the best in Merced County in my opinion. The last couple of times the cheese burrito for $5+ was about the size of my palm in length. I was disappointed and would have settled for a Big Mac even though I wasn't feeling burgers. The speed, temperature of food, and customer service is great. I guess I was on a tight budget and expecting more.

what could go wrong went wrong. after thirty minutes waiting for food we inquired to find they lost our order. and had to wait another ten while they argued about what happened to other orders they lost or gave to the wrong people. if not for one very busy older employee coming to help us while on his lunch break who knows how long it would have taken to get our food. he stepped up and made our food not letting the irresponsible unprofessional attitudes and chaos from the younger workers bother him at all. very impressed by this gentleman and very thankful he wasn't upset having his own food get cold to fix our order that he even didn't mess up all while ignoring the arguing from the younger staff. I will of course be back because location is everything but more experienced workers need to be scheduled with the more inexperienced. it was like a one to four ratio and was not pretty to see

Bathroom was mess. No soap in women's room with three women working. Dried sticky garbage leak from the kitchen out the front door.

Don't get me wrong, when they are on point they are delicious. They do get my order wrong often. I'm not the type that's going to drive my food back. I usually end up trying to eat around it, or I'll just throw it away.

Beans were thin enough to use a straw. Was falling apart when I got my burritos all three of them. Tortillas were soggy, and I don't mind if I ever even 10:00 mild sauces but it was at least a giant handful of about 25 sauces

Decent taco bell, with very friendly, energetic cashier named Lokeisha. She seems to enjoy working there, unlike most other fast food workers. Really enjoyed her attitude. The problem I had was the security guard letting everyone know they've got 20 minutes to eat. And I get it, but that's more for the bums who sleep at table while charging phones or taking showers at the bathroom sink... Down to two stars no one to take orders, people walking out. I did the same, after no orders taken in 5 minutes. Went to McDonald's across the street.

Food taste processed. Lights were off, and I was greeted by a kiosk. No Enchirotos, no green sauce, no Bell Beefers. No fresh beans or beef. No selection No flavor One of the Biddest Rip Offs in Fast Food.

The service sucks. I did not like that the guy rang my order up with his gloves. Didn't change them, then went to the back and made people's food. That's disgusting. I wanted to say something, but who am I if their manager isn't checking them, why should I? I just won't pick this location again. Side note, they are extremely slow. So be prepared to wait. Drive thru or inside the restaurant. Slow!!!

Food and service was excellent. The negative though is it's over 100° outside and you can't turn on the air conditioning for your customers and employees? One star is for the manager that thinks it's okay for kitchen crew to be dripping sweat into food as it's prepared. Not enjoyable to eat lunch inside and extremely hot stuffy restaurant.

Bad service.. came through the drive-thru tonight placed my order and realized they forgot some things I had ordered probably didn't hear me well considering there was a lot of wind which is understandable I ask the girl at the window if they got certain items which she then said no (she was the only one with good service) so she tells the ladies making the food to make 3 missing items they then moan and groan when told and start complaining!!! I had no issues until this happened.....maybe you should be more quiet next time..oh and the best part of all one of the ladies gives the bag of food to the lady at the window and has the nerve to roll her eyes at me and give me a dirty look....I've never had an issue with this place till tonight .shame

I hope that this is out of the norm but I went in during their lunch rush - It was mostly packed and had some messy tables but nobody was on registers. There was 1 customer in front of me and 2 more waiting behind me. The associate (I'll call her #1) who was supposed to be on registers was instead spraying a detergent on the floor and wiping with a rag. She was cleaning what she called "wet feces" that from what I saw tracked from the restroom and throughout the dining area. Another associate (#2), may have been the shift manager, asked for her to come back to ring so another associate (#3) could clean the mess with a mop. #1 shouted "I have to clean this up" and she kept spraying all without having a Wet Floor sign posted. #2 rolled her eyes and rang me up. #3 never went through the dining room with the mop. He was probably dealing with the restroom. People were coming in and stepping in the mess and it was disgusting. #1 shouted at people coming in to watch their step. One customer who stepped in it was wearing a foot brace. There were a couple of customers wearing plastic gloves and also cleaning up the mess in the dining area with rags - I am assuming they took responsibility. I found a seat as far from the feces as I could, wiped my own table with napkins, ate as quickly as I could and left. I don't work in the food industry so I don't know the proper protocol but I believe that management should have asked us to step out of the restaurant while they cleaned up the feces.

Went there between 11&12 for lunch, with no hot or mild sauce in their containers, asked them to fill them up after I brought the containers to them. Their answer was to say after the line went down( start of lunch rush)& gave me 3 of each. It would have taken just as long to fill the containers,as it did to grab me 3 of each. Everyone of their customers would of been happy after me but noooo. So I had a $5 box with 3 each and costumers after me had to beg for sause.

I always find hair in my food at this Taco Bell. Eat here at your own discretion. Best Taco Bell is on Prescott.

My child needed to use restroom and was told for customers only, we are in line to order. Veronica is very rude. (Not a family environment) Keep away !

The place is kept really unclean the floor was dirty I seen a bug crawling under the table I told the employee and she brushed It Off like it wasn't her responsibility to deal with it I will never go to the store and restroom is disgusting covered in pee toilet paper on the floor I will never go to the store again

Bean burritos need to have at least 1 end of the burrito closed. I ordered 8 and all of them were folded like tacos. If I wanted to have to wrap my own burritos I would gave made them at home!

Went in for an order - took 30 mins to get food while at least 10 cars went through the drive through. They kept apologizing saying they'd get to my order next. I was super sweet about it, as you always should be. Once I left and got back on the road, they had labeled what appeared to be cheesey roll ups with chicken (?) As our two cheeseyb gordita crunches... The crunchy and soft tacos barely contained any ingredients - pretty much just tortilla. Missing avbean burrito and a cheesey roll up. All after 30 min and an apology for the delay 💔 so to recap, no cheesey gordita crunches, no bean burrito, half the normal size tacos or less, one of two roll ups. Couldnt be more disappointed.

Drove out of my way to get to the 24 hour Jack in the box just for them to say they were rebooting their system and they could not take orders. That’s not a 24 hour Taco Bell… waste of time. Del taco next time for sure

Still upset at stolen online order from years prior (tldr online ordered breakfast at time restaurant was supposed to be open, paid, order marked ready, restaurant wasn't open, no food, out $20) UPDATE: Employees were very rude to woman with bladder issues trying to find open restroom at 6pm on Saturday evening. McDonald's across street closed bathroom to public years ago. This makes it even less likely as a long-time customer to even want to return, especially after girlfriend was assaulted by a tweaker the last time we came in.

Went there for lunch today and as I was standing at the counter a rude lady standing in the back told me they only take orders from the self serve machine and I needed to use that for service. When I told her I couldn't use the self serve because I needed to change an item all she said was "don't know what to tell you, you have to use the machine ". I turned around and walked out and went to a business with better customer service never to return there.

I would give them NO stars If I could. First,at 1:00 in the afternoon no one there- I mean customers. I went to counter and asked for help. A young lady came up & I ordered the pizza. She said there put. I asked her then why are they on the menu. Sarcastically she said they cant change menu so I advised a sign in front stating no more pizzas. So I told her it would take a few minutes. She then told me it would be cash when i ordered. Very rude. So I said no problem. Had to ask for help again to order. A young man took my order which was 2 TB Supreme no tomatoes, for here with 4 fire sauces. The 1st lady had my order-to go-and asked me if I wanted any sauces. I answered yes, 4 fire. She looked in bag and handed it to me. I sat down and had 2 fire and 8 other kind of sauce. So I went to the counter, yelled for help. Gave back the other sauces and asked for 2 fire. Why did this girl make it difficult. I felt like they didn't want me there. Definitely would go to the taco trucks behind TB for cheaper and better tacos. Now I know why the place was empty at 1:00 in the afternoon

This place has rude people working here , ther was only 1 younger girl that was nice my husband said , they didn’t want to let my husband use the restroom and he is disabled and i did order food online for him , I was very upset when I got to Taco Bell because he was waiting for me until I got out of the court house 👎

People were extremely rude. There were two of us Black folks and they never took our order. Even when I inquired. So we both walked out. Old man mopping floor no gloves on. I uses to come here alot but never again.

Every time I eat taco bell. It just don't do it for me. I use to eat it. All the time in high school. When it was 99 cents for nachos. Mexican pizza was the bomb! I got the Mexican pizza and taco supreme. It was so basic tasting. They don't have chive onions no more. For you Mexican pizza. Probably never eat there again. It wasn't worth $20 yaw!

Gave me a solid only bean crunch wrap supreme. I ordered chicken. Service is always below par and when we called the manager he was rude. I'm sure they get complaints often. I'd hate my job too if I worked at tacobell. Guess we can't expect much from people who aren't able to do a basic job.

I ordered thru the app for 3 items 2 burritos and a chalupa my pick up time was 2:03 pm I didn’t get my food till 3 : 15 pm over an hour for 3 items and when I showed the employee my receipt he just shrugged his shoulders and the drive thru or dine in wasn’t busy there was at max 4 people in drive thru was 5 and there were many people getting there food in the hour I was there . I reported it to taco bell in the app as well. I’m usually way more understanding but come on an hour for 3 items and There was many other people who came later than I did and still got there food in a good about of time .

EXTREMELY unprofessional and rude employees, caitlyn in specific. They had the drive through backed up for a half hour, okay fine it’s Saturday night no biggie I understand but then I received old food that was made incorrectly. Called immediately, they said they’d remake the food if we brought it back with the receipt. Okay cool will do. Obviously the food had bites taken from most items how else would you know it’s nasty if you don’t try it? %80 still there. Simply asked for incorrect items to be remade as promised but instead she took my food, screamed and argued with us, refused to remake it, or give a refund? Don’t go here.

Me and my husband got food from here 3 days ago. We both got miserably sick. Diarrhea, vomits and nausea. Service was really bad too. Rude employees. Will never eat from any taco bell ever again. Last 3 days have been a nightmare. Edit: Today is the 5th day and we still have the worst stomach pains and diarrhea.

Homeless and drug addicts hound you for money in the parking lot. Every time I come thru here, there is a problem with my order. Then they come at you with snide attitudes when you want them to fix things. Nothing but problems at this location.

Need purchase to be able to use restroom, which is understandable. Proceeded to buy a couple of drinks and was made to wait about 10-15 minutes to get just drinks. Employees walk by and communicate about their personal lives without even acknowledging the people waiting or even inquire if they've been helped or anything. Wouldn't stop by even if just for the restroom.

Taco Bell’s strategy of constantly removing popular menu items and bringing them back as limited-time offers is getting old. The poblano steak quesadilla was a staple for some of us, not a novelty item. At some point, the artificial scarcity stops driving excitement and just pushes customers to look elsewhere. The nacho fries cycle was one thing, but repeatedly doing this makes the menu feel unstable. Loyal customers don’t want gimmicks — we want consistency.

This is literally the worst Taco Bell I’ve ever been to, I’ve been in the food industry for 6 years now a GM for 4 of those both in fast food. And before hand was in the dine in experience in the food industry this by far has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced, the only reason I even come is cause of convenience of location, the Managers are horrible the staff aren’t helpful you stand there waiting to be helped for ever they don’t say welcome in or anything they always look upset and are always rude not to mention the long wait for food I placed an order to be ready at 2:33 I didn’t get it until 2:45 and placed it well before I arrived this place needs major change and major help new management is necessary

I suggest nobody come here to take your lunch. Feces/ammonia smell to start you off before you enter at the grass area by front door. I needed to wash my hands before eating, bathroom just got mopped with dirty water because it didnt smell like it got mopped smelt like poop water. I got a free bday freeze with a lux box. MEANS 2 DRINKS the male taco bell employee thats calling the names to hand out the food doesn't have a name tag. And also tried to steal my drink. He was hoping I didn't think I had 2 drinks. When I said I get a Baja blast as well. He flipped the ordering screen to act like he was double checking. And then DIDNT POUR a drink He handed me the drink he already knew I had made with my order. This happened at 10/9/2025 1:30pm.

The worker wanted to say she marked the burrito right which yes she did but the order was wrong she put tomatoes in the wrong burrito and wanted to argue it because she marked it. This is the third time it happened so I figured I'd let everybody else know. I'm attaching a picture of the receipt with her name.

I think they did something to my bf drink cuz I asked for bigger size the girls I’m just throw it away omg young girls no no no no no and I just went by today tryed it again like days later have it one last chance like no again drink not mixed had to make a fountain drink food just nasty like byeee never will they get another doller 🤮🤢🤢🤢

Had an awful drive thru experience here. I made a mobile order for pick up and when I arrived I was flatly told "we're closed" even though the hours equals they were open. When I asked for help with cancelling my order on the app the manager said she couldn't help me "because everyone's phone is different" which is not true, it's the same app for everyone. Every time I asked for help after that she just kept repeating "we're closed, I can't help you". I'm not going to be coming to on this Taco Bell anymore. I feel like this was a rude way to deal with any customer

First of all, i order a cantina burrito and i when i open it its a grilled cheese burrito . The burrito is burnt and taste like burnt. Do not come to this store!

For years I have been coming to this Taco Bell on 9th street but today I was disappointed, portions have drastically gone down. I will post a picture of what I ordered today for breakfast for $2.60 tell me if this was worth I'll let you guys be the judge, I for one will not come to this Taco Bell for a good while i feel like i just baught a plain flower tortilla, if i had spend 2 dollars more at del taco, i would have got a half a pound breakfast burrito. I also ordered a cheesy bean and rice burrito for $1.50 and was double the size tell me how that works.
