I never been here before. My second oldest sister, my brother in law and I celebrated for my sister just got hired for working for little kids at elementary school. The food was amazing, I love the salad with little blueberries taste amazing. I have no problem at all.

The food and wine were delicious. The service was great. The food was well worth the price. The patio area is relaxing. Really enjoyed the experience, will definitely come back.

Absolutely perfect in every way. Thank you for a great meal shared with friends and our ability to hear each other as we talked for over two hours. Superb!

We just enjoyed a lovely Mother’s Day lunch here at Verona. The food was exceptional. My mother and I loved the salmon with creamy saffron risotto and vegetables that I wished I had a full plate of. My son had fettuccine with shrimp which he rated at 9.5/10 just because he doesn’t care for green onions. Lovely food, service, and atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back!

The service has been incredible each time I’ve gone! The restaurant is very welcoming and charming. A very lovely and attentive staff. Their food is immaculate and the panna cotta is perfection! Will be continuing to go here :)

Came out for dinner to celebrate my sister’s graduation. The food was very good, we came in with a pretty large group, and I must say the server we had was amazing! He was very attentive, respectful, and knowledgeable overall making our celebration and dinner much more enjoyable. Thank you to MeL for your fantastic service!

The food is great but the service is very bad and slow. I did not feel very welcomed there. They do not check to see if you need anything else and they just disappear. They need better staff to make it more enjoyable.

Bread is toasted perfectly not too hard with lots of flavor. The presentation of the food was absolutely beautiful with a good flavor to match! Everything we ordered was well made, delicious, and fresh. We came before closing and there weren't many people. Their service was fast and friendly! The environment was very pleasant, we really enjoyed the experience. Would recommend stopping by!

I had the chicken Parmesan and my family had some seafood dishes plus we splurged on the crème brûlée and flourless chocolate ecstasy cake. The second reason is because it’s a nice place and the waiter was decent. I was hesitant on coming here because I felt like it was an expensive place that was going to be judgemental and that’s a bit of the feeling you get- BUT I’m going to say it was more of a waiter communication than anything. (Sometimes you get great personalities and sometimes you don’t). I would try again. Expect to spend a decent amount. Bread is free but not soup or salad which would have been nice. It is worth trying if you want great Italian food. And food pictures were taken half eaten cause I was starving lol.

This place has consistently good food paired perfectly with their wine menu. My only issue is that there is NOTHING currently in the restaurant to dampen the noise levels, which makes it extremely hard to hear and follow a conversation. They used to have curtains but I don't know where they went. We were seated near the patio door which had a cold draft coming through to the kitchen even though the doors were closed. If/when they figure out the acoustics and the air draft issue, it will be perfect dining experience once again.

Unfriendly waitress, poor service. The food was okay. The food was very rich but not much.

My wife and I really enjoyed dining here. The food is what I would call high end Italian. A little bit pricey but worth it.

Excellent food, fresh, hot delicious never disappointed. Recently the service needed improving but, the food is worth the wait.

My husband and I loved the food here. We were served warm bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar to start with cocktails. We enjoyed the mushroom raviolis with chicken in a delicious cream sauce and diavola pizza. We also finished it off with some creamy gelato. Our main server was very good, but overall, the rushed and cramped atmosphere took away from an otherwise fantastic meal.

Waitresses are attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and daily specials. Atmosphere is upscale but not oppressive. Many large families and/or businesses associates frequently gather at larger tables. One of Modesto’s best restaurants. And, no one I know, including myself, has ever been disappointed with their selection!

We hadn't intended to eat it for my son's birthday. My husband was in the hospital so I ordered Pizza Hut to pickup at 4:30 on the way home. When we arrived, we were told it was a 2 hour wait. So plan B, my son picked Kobe Buffett. So we went home to get my other son and drive to Kobe. We'll, they are closed on Tuesdays. So I thought of Verona's since we all like Italian. Our waitress was great and we enjoyed our meals. It was a bit noisy so we probably should have picked outdoor seating. Under the circumstances, my son still had a great birthday.

It’s a safe option to go with large groups as they have a lot of options for everyone. They have the potential to be top notch if they used seasonal ingredients and added more unique touches to their food

I have eaten here a few times. This time has been the worst! No service, waited 20 minutes for water and cocktails. My veal was very average, luke warm pasta, and warm salad.

Service was rude servers! but worst part is they lie. We called in advance about vegan pasta or other vegan dish options and instead of being honest and saying they don’t have any , the lady lied and said they will have vegan options variable night to night and chef can accommodate. Everything had eggs/ milk including bread and the chef couldn’t even offer to make roasted vegetables. they had zero vegan options on menu except salads ( without cheese of course) . Vegans and people with dairy allergies beware!

The food was really bad, spaghetti with prawns had no flavor at all, lasagna was very small and had barely any cheese, salmon was not good and we refused to even get boxes and left half of the plates. Pizza was pretty good, but for the price, this was horrible. There are no vegan options so don’t go if you’re vegan. The Dans salad was seriously just ice berg with five pieces of canned hearts of palm and two pieces of artichoke hearts.

When the server gets there we just feel so rushed because first thing he asks is are we ready to order ?? No suggestions from the menu , no hello how are you guys are we celebrating anything? No specials for the day NOTHING. Cool he’s probably just mad we came in an HOUR before they close and he’s going to have to work the shift he was scheduled , SORRY. Dinner concludes and they still haven’t even brought up how it’s an Anniversary dinner like what was the point of the reservation asking the occasion if this place doesn’t do anything special or can’t even say happy anniversary lol. Anyways terrible experience , ruined the anniversary dinner I had planned for my wife and left a sour taste in our mouth as visitors to modesto. Should have listened to the reviews that said they aren’t very welcoming to first timers , only to regulars lol ! 0/10 Would never return ! All of this and I didn’t even mention they overcooked both of our steaks , yes we prefer a little more than medium because we asked for between medium and medium well but that is different than WELL DONE , completely brown when we cut into them , SMH

We switched waiters to change to a larger table. The female waiter we had was amazing. She offered many vegetarian options. When we switched waiters all the options sudden can’t be done and he said it “wasn’t his fault. I don’t make the food” and I just found it so disrespectful to throw another employee under the bus like that. Unfortunately I don’t remember the waiters name.

Second time at this place. We were seating for 20 minutes and no body showed up at the table to offer at least water, when other tables around arrived after and they had service right away.

Service 0 out of 5. I went with my husband because it came highly recommended. I understand they were a bit busy, as I had a reservation, and we went to the bar while we waited. Later, they gave us a table, but 20 minutes passed and no one came to take our order. However, I noticed that other tables were being served. I left without even being offered water and ended up having dinner somewhere else. Honestly, the worst service I've ever experienced; they just wasted my time. Never going back. Recommendation: Of course, I will tell my friends and acquaintances about the bad service.
