Excellent traditional cuisine, family atmosphere, friendly service, warm and convivial atmosphere.
I enjoyed some wonderful chestnut-filled ravioli topped with mushrooms. A seasonal dish, in my opinion, excellent, as was the roast beef with typical polenta. The atmosphere is traditional. I want to go back soon!!! ☺️
"Old-fashioned" trattoria...family atmosphere...good lunch...homemade desserts...friendly staff...highly recommended
Paola, Vanessa, Kone, Anna, why didn't I meet you before? The atmosphere here feels like home. The authentic food makes you enjoy life! Thank you for the natural way you welcome us and for the opportunity to experience and enjoy good, healthy, and carefully prepared food. You can breathe in and appreciate the quality of life!
Found by chance on Google on the way back from Lago di Pusiano, it was a lovely discovery. The atmosphere is lovely, and the traditional cuisine is heartfelt. The risotto with ossobuco is especially noteworthy. The risotto is made to order, with tender, aromatic meat and a sauce without tomato sauce. It's special. Good selection of wines. Welcoming atmosphere and good service. Recommended.
Today, for the first time, I ordered Easter lunch to go from Ristorante Riva, and it was a wonderful surprise inside the Easter egg. It was a divine lunch... Quicklorraine was excellent and not too heavy Pumpkin ravioli were amazing Guinea fowl was arranged sliced with its subject on the side Lasagna with meat sauce, but we'll eat it tomorrow Chocolate cake was excellent Cheesekache with berry jam...pure ecstasy. Thank you so much for this takeout lunch, which made me rediscover the pleasure of dining at a restaurant, which I haven't been to for over a year. The cuisine has a distinctive flavor, but it makes all the difference, leaving an impression on the palate and the pleasure of enjoying the food.
Genuine Brianza food!! Familly owned. Not too many plates but traditional ones perfectly cooked! Like : la cazzuela, il foiolo, il maialino o la faraona... Prices are below average, this will be a trattoria where I will come back very very often! One of the best ones I tried in all Brianza!
We went for lunch with two friends who weren't familiar with the place, and we were more than pleasantly surprised. The risotto with ossobuco was the best.
The atmosphere is very classic and basic, and the service is lacking (some responses were even a little unpleasant). However, I definitely give it 4 stars for the food, which is decidedly well-made and of high quality. Since I go to restaurants to eat well... I'll be back!
In a little-publicized corner, I found an unexpected experience at a place frozen in time, yet offering fantastic cuisine. I was served masterful pumpkin gnocchi and a red wine stew that I will long remember: tender, flavorful, and creamy. The place is certainly well-known in the area because, despite what I said above, it was completely packed, and I was lucky to find a free table. Prices were more than fair. There were only a few minor hiccups in the service, but that's to be expected given the high number of customers.
This is a small family-run restaurant where you eat reasonably well and are served with kindness. It's a shame the menu isn't very extensive!
My partner and I had a wonderful evening. Excellent food, a lovely and well-kept location, and impeccable service, a little too fast. I recommend it for a quiet dinner, whether as a couple or with friends.
Good morning, On Sunday the 14th, my family and friends went to this restaurant for lunch. We were 6 people: 4 adults and 2 children. It was recommended by friends. I'll get straight to the food, which for me is a fundamental element for a place of culinary worship... EXCELLENT! Truly very good. Appetizers: vanilla cotechino... delicate, good; not greasy. My 6-year-old daughter stole it from my plate. The cold cuts were good, and the meatballs with salsa verde were tasty and delicate. My friends had pumpkin gnocchi, which I obviously tried to test their quality. Irregular in shape (synonymous with homemade products), but with a sublime flavor. They melted in your mouth. As a true Milanese, I had the cassoeula. A sigh of relief...made with the old-fashioned way my grandmother used to make it. It included pork rind, well-seasoned cabbage, and a delicate polenta to accompany it. Excellent. Then the desserts. Maybe I chose the wrong dessert, or maybe I prefer cold cheesecake and not baked cheesecake, but I wasn't thrilled. I'll try something else, because I'll definitely be back. I'm not giving a 5 just for the desserts. As for the rest, keep up the good work!
We were celebrating my birthday, and there were 15 of us. I had an appetizer of excellent cured meats and a first course of macaroni with guinea fowl sauce, truly excellent. I skipped the second course and instead had the strudel, which was truly delicious. The still white wine was also very welcome. The service was prompt and attentive. Even the kids enjoyed the choice of gnocchi and saffron risotto. We'll definitely be back.
An enchanted place for Christmas….– Riva Restaurant ⭐ At Riva Restaurant, Christmas arrives softly, like snow that doesn't fall from the sky, but falls from the heart. The lights flicker like domestic stars, and the air smells of tradition, of honest dishes, cooked by hands that know the truth of flavors and the beauty of simple things. Here, Brianza speaks quietly: in the broth that warms the soul, in the braised meats that speak softly, in the pasta dishes made to perfection, in that sincere cuisine that doesn't seek applause, but kindles memories. Sitting down at Riva is like rediscovering a room from your childhood: welcoming, soft, authentic. A place where time slows down, where every gesture is kind, and where Christmas seems to return to its most authentic form: a simple, human, shared gift. And at the end of the meal, when the warmth lingers on your hands and gratitude in your eyes, you realize that the Riva isn't a restaurant, but a caress you eat. And as they say around here... "At the Riva, you feel good, you eat better, and your heart turns to be happy there." 🎄✨
Poisonous Brianza, I think Mogol Battisti's quote is actually about the restaurant. I decided to have lunch with my wife at Riva after seeing an article in Gambero Rosso explaining that Mogol and Battisti composed songs in the restaurant's green room. We had lunch right there, so we were greeted without even a smile, zero empathy. A few dishes at lunchtime, so we decided on risotto with ossobuco. They told us 20 minutes. Okay, no problem. We ordered two appetizers, a charcuterie board, and a giardiniera (pickled vegetables), and a bottle of wine. Nothing arrived, so we had to ask. Okay, the wine arrived, but we ignored the glasses. The bottle arrived at the table open. Okay, so we ignored the bottle as well. Then the platter arrived, but the giardiniera was unavailable and brought us four sweet and sour onions (I think they were freebies due to the lack of giardiniera). They told us the risotto was late. After another 20 minutes, the risotto with ossobuco arrived (a 45-minute wait), obviously without any excuses. I go to pay for dessert and coffee, check the bill, and to my surprise, they charge me for the giardiniera. I say, "Excuse me, but I never got a response." I brought you the onions, but if you want, I'll refund them. OBVIOUSLY, I didn't order them. Anyway, the food is good, but average. Unspeakable service. Prices don't match the service. I almost never write negative reviews, but it's fine here. This place is frequented by regulars, and they don't like out-of-towners, and they make it clear. I'll do them a favor by not coming back.
Lunch break alone during the week. Interesting daily menu and four dishes on the off-price menu. Okay, I order the Milanese cutlet, and the waitress warns me it takes about ten minutes to make. Okay, it arrived after 32 minutes, and I can't say it was worth it; it's perfectly normal. It's also a shame because the price isn't even worth it given the service and quality.
