Bewertungen von Bar Pasticceria Comino Mondovì
The pastries were very good. We had 2 chocolate risottos, 1 apricot jam risotto, and 1 chocolate meliga horseshoe. The hot chocolate was delicious, and the cream was delicious; it melted in your mouth and tasted like milk. There's not much seating inside; in the winter, seating is very limited.
They gave me some Monregalesi, dark chocolate-covered sweets with different fillings I wasn't familiar with—out of this world! A perfect balance of flavor, texture, and size. If you stop by, be sure to try at least one—you'll love them!
The croissants are very special, with the consistency of semi-sweet bites, and the filling is generous and high-quality. Among the pastry shop's specialties are the risole di Mondovì: crispy, light, oven-baked crescents of puff pastry filled with a variety of fillings. Cream-filled and dry pastries, tarts, and chocolates are also available. The mimosa cake is excellent and offers a fair price/quality ratio.
We just ordered take away pastries because we don't have the Super Green Pass yet but the atmosphere was great, service friendly and the beautifully wrapped pastries were absolutely delicious!!!
Worth a visit to Mondovi for!
While visiting Mondovì on a hot August day, I thought I'd take the opportunity to try the famous (in Piedmont) risole, purchasing them from the pastry shop that supposedly "invented" them. The place is welcoming and clean, with an outdoor seating area in front. The staff was very kind and helpful and recommended I definitely try the original version of risole, a small glazed puff pastry filled with Rennet apples. They also suggested trying them with other fillings, and I chose the zabaglione version. I also couldn't resist the tarts with custard and fruit and the "bignole" (bignole) in various flavors, which were beautifully displayed and looked inviting. We didn't eat the pastries right away, but they survived over an hour's drive (in air conditioning) and only a few hours in the refrigerator. The tasting definitely lived up to expectations, although I found the original risole, with their rennet filling, very sweet and perhaps a little cloying, but that could be a personal preference, as I don't like overly sweet desserts. The zabaglione risole, on the other hand, is an explosion of flavor in a puff pastry shell: exceptional. Again, this is a very personal opinion, as those who don't like the taste of zabaglione won't find them so excellent. The other pastries were all quite high-quality, with the cream puffs retaining a certain crunchiness in their shells, which enclose a filling that is always a delight. A special mention, for connoisseurs, goes to the pistachio cream ones: positively over the top. In short, if you're passing through Mondovì, I recommend stopping by this historic pastry shop that continues to uphold tradition.
Bella location
La piccola pasticceria deludente x il prezzo astronomico, mai più piede da voi, crema pannosa e sfoglia varia vecchia di giorni con qualche tonalità acidosa
Comino has always been a sure thing, but today... I went with two friends from Turin. We ordered coffees and risotto with zabaglione. The guy who took the order wasn't the most helpful (unlike the two girls, whom I thank). In fact, the risotto arrived with jam, so my friends had to order two more, which luckily arrived with zabaglione. Then we asked for two bottles of water and we received only one glass... too bad.
I would like to point out that Comino has always had excellent products and friendly staff, which is why I gave it 3 stars. However, tonight I had an aperitif that was definitely not up to the standard of the place. We sat down at 7:20 pm in the outdoor area, after a short while a waiter arrives who hastily lists the drinks for the aperitif and shortly after brings us the two aperitifs we ordered with some packaged crisps. Since we had seen other tables, both in the outdoor area and inside, with some snacks we ask if we can have them too, but he replies that they have run out. After a few minutes the people sitting at the other tables in the outdoor area get up and we are the only ones to go back, at this point, at 7:35 pm, the waiter starts to remove all the chairs and then all the tables leaving only ours, shortly after he also lifts the awning, I would like to point out that the place closes at 8:00 pm. At this point we feel invited to leave and we get up to pay (7.43pm as per the receipt we were leaving) and entering we also notice that a table inside, arrived after us, had some beautiful pizzas definitely of their production with the aperitif. I understand that if the outdoor area is empty the staff can rightly start to collect and get ahead with the work, but if we are still seated I find it quite rude that everything was removed except our table as if we were in the way. When we arrived they could have suggested we sit inside if they had to close the outdoor area early!!
Servizio confusionario..fatto L ordine al tavolo esterno..arrivata la cameriera la prima volta con l’ ordine sbagliato ..lasciandomi lì il cornetto mai ordinato e cappuccino ..2 volta con metà dell o…
What happened to Comino? I hadn't been there for years. The rum-filled Monregalesi have completely changed: one is as small as a candy bar, the other three times bigger. The couverture chocolate is low-quality. Sometimes there's rum, sometimes not. Well, they've gotten lost.
The chocolate croissant was good, but not very chocolatey; the coffee was good. The wait was long, everyone was getting impatient. A woman who worked there interrupted and mocked us, making absurd jokes. The same person had been arguing with the same colleagues in front of customers moments before.
Brioche eccezionale,. Personale maleducato (tranne una ma.sta in pasticceria) con quello che ti fanno pagare almeno un po di cordialità
Terrible bar. We ordered a spritz, a gelato, and a decaf coffee, which, not only took 15 minutes to arrive, even though there were few people, but were also not good at all: the spritz had terrible sparkling wine in it, the gelato didn't taste like hazelnut or cream, and it cost 4.50 for two flavors, and we couldn't eat the cone inside. Terrible and unprofessional service. Excessively expensive for the quality. Absolutely not recommended.
I think these are the worst brioches I've ever eaten! Ugly to look at, but that doesn't matter, if only they were good. Unleavened dough, cloying, and the only thing that leaves you with is the taste of yeast. It used to be an excellent pastry shop, but today it's a profound disappointment. The puff pastry for the risole tastes like bread; perhaps it's never even tasted butter. In my opinion, the selection of pastries is truly ridiculous; the cannoli are an insult to pastry making, and the savory snacks are to be avoided. The place has been renovated, but everything else is terrible.
