Great tasting food and great customer service
The food is super delicious, the prices are very good. I've been there several times. They have very good-sized dishes, 10/10. I'll definitely be back again. 🙋🏻♀️ The place is small, super comfortable, and they have a setting that matches the food. The service has been good every time I've been.
Great place to eat! Most of the reviews are from people expecting a "harmless" experience. The soda tastes very different from Mexican soda, and the ramen doesn't taste anything like Maruchan. Everyone is very attentive, the place is nice, and the edamame is delicious. The only downside is that the place is a bit small.
Review in Spanish – Oishii Izakaya (Ventura Puente) Oishii Izakaya – 5 stars One of my favorite spots in all of Morelia. If you love Japanese food and the otaku world, this is THE place you can't miss. Open from 1:30 pm to 9:00 pm, Oishii Izakaya has a spacious location in Ventura Puente, but be warned: it fills up very quickly due to its popularity, so arrive early. Its ambiance is a gem for the geeky soul: anime figures, lo-fi music with otaku touches, and an atmosphere that transports you to Japan without leaving the city. They have a delicious variety of Japanese dishes, such as: Three types of ramen: Shoyu, Miso (vegan), and Karaage. Okonomiyaki (yes, like in Ranma 1/2, love), which is a kind of Japanese pizza. Yakisoba, dumplings, gyoza, kebabs, noodles, mochi, and taiyaki. Drinks like Calpico (a fermented drink similar to Yakult), Japanese sodas, and sake. My favorites: the yakisoba, okonomiyaki, and dumplings. I always leave happy. They also have a bar and well-distributed tables, the service is friendly and fast, and the bathroom is modern, clean, and has a cute touch. Ideal for going with friends, a partner, or indulging in some anime. A place as delicious as it is unique. Review in English – Oishii Izakaya (Ventura Puente) Oishii Izakaya – 5 stars One of my favorite spots in Morelia. If you're into Japanese food and the otaku vibe, this place is a must. With opening hours from 1:30pm to 9:00pm, the Ventura Puente location is spacious, but beware—it gets packed quickly due to its popularity. The atmosphere is a dream for anime fans: otaku decor, lofi beats, and anime vibes that make you feel like you're dining in a cozy Tokyo alley. Their menu is packed with authentic Japanese dishes, including: Three kinds of ramen: Shoyu, Miso (vegan), and Karaage. Okonomiyaki (Japanese pizza like in Ranma 1/2!). Yakisoba, dumplings, gyozas, skewers, noodles, taiyaki, and mochis. Drinks like Calpico (fermented, Yakult-style), Japanese sodas, and sake. My go-to picks are the yakisoba, okonomiyaki, and dumplings—always a hit. There's bar seating, table service, and the bathroom is impressively clean and modern. Perfect spot to hang out with friends, go on a chill anime-date, or just treat yourself to a flavorful escape.
Great food. Great service. I highly recommend it.
I love the concept and the food is great, you can try whatever you want and will be delicious 😋, have a great meal
I really liked this place and the unique concept they offer. The food portions and prices are very good. All the staff are attentive to the tables, both in the kitchen and behind the bar. The place is very clean, and the kitchen is open. The presentation of the dishes is excellent. The only thing that could be improved is the drinks menu; they should offer more options.
It's really good, the place has a great atmosphere. Perhaps the prices are a bit high for the portion sizes, but the dishes are very good, especially the gyozas and the rice dishes. It's somewhat expensive, but enjoyable, perfect for an occasional outing.
The broth in the ramen I ordered was a little salty, but the pork was delicious and the presentation was excellent. I didn't like the drink, as the Calpico with mineral water doesn't taste as good; it would be ideal if they offered the option of having it with or without mineral water. The service from the waiters was 10/10; they were incredibly attentive.
The food is delicious. The menu isn't very extensive, but what I tried was very good. The place is very pretty; if you like anime, you'll love it. The downside is the preparation time. It takes a bit of time for your dish to be delivered. The upside is that the atmosphere is pleasant. One minor issue is the menus; they're pretty and clear, but we got some that were dirty. Other than that, the food was very pleasant.
It has quickly become a favorite destination for Japanese food lovers. From the moment you step inside, you're immersed in an atmosphere that blends modern elegance with traditional Japanese touches, creating a welcoming and relaxed ambiance. The menu is a true masterpiece, offering a wide variety of dishes ranging from yakimeshi to hot dishes like ramen. Each dish is an explosion of flavors and colors, carefully prepared by expert chefs using the highest quality ingredients. The Vietnamese roll, in particular, deserves special mention. The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, which adds significant value to the dining experience. They are always willing to make recommendations and ensure that every customer feels welcome and satisfied. Furthermore, the presentation of the dishes is worthy of a work of art. Every detail, from the arrangement of the ingredients to the tableware used, is designed to enhance the visual and gastronomic experience. In short... It's not just a restaurant, but a culinary experience that transports diners to the heart of Japan. If you're a Japanese food lover, this restaurant is a must-visit.
I appreciate the presentation and the staff's attention; they are very friendly and attentive. As for the ramen, I felt the broth was a bit bland. I would have preferred a more concentrated base or more pronounced umami notes. For example, I love seafood ramen, and I couldn't taste the seafood; it didn't have much flavor, really. It used to be very good; I don't know what happened :(. Perhaps a longer cooking time or the use of ingredients like kombu seaweed or miso could give it more depth and enhance the flavor. It's very expensive for what it is.
The agua del dia was not agua fresca! It was horchata fresa but was actually a drink made from concentrate with artificial strawberry flavoring not fresh Strawberries. I ate yakisoba and I had a headache when I left, but don't know if it was from the noodle dish or the fake drink. Too expensive for what we had.
It was an absolute and total disappointment. The place has nothing to do with Asian cuisine. The broth is tasteless, and the choice of ingredients is a complete miss. A good place for people that have no idea about Asian cuisine.
