Absolutely a great vegan spot worth checking out, even for non vegans. Japanese BBQ Cauliflower Wings are savory and crispy. The Mac and cheese is creamy, but might not be suitable to everyone's liking given the dairy free substitute, hit/miss with our kids. The pepperoni pizza however, delicious to both our kids! I really like the spicy chicken Sandwich, the crispy consistency to the mushroom and slaw is a delicious combination. And of course, extensive beer selection. Fun special drinks too depending on the season.
amazingggg vegan food!! in a quaint bar apartment on a lovely street. indoor outdoor seating is nice. we almost lately loved the animal lover wood fired pizza, the buffalo cauliflower and the bbq bakon burger! everything was so delicious and indulgent, packed with flavor. all the staff are so kind! would come back again 🌟 it was our perfect stop for lunch on the way to SF
Vegan food incredible! Awesome bourbon burger, solid margarita pizza and good drinks. Must try even if not vegan.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Craft Roots, and it was an absolute revelation! As someone who is mindful of both health and the environment, this vegan restaurant exceeded all expectations. The menu is incredibly thoughtful, offering a wide variety of plant-based dishes that are not only flavorful but packed with nutrition. Whether you're vegan, gluten-free, lactose intolerant, or simply trying to reduce your meat consumption, there's something for everyone here. The restaurant clearly understands that more people are turning to plant-based diets for their health, the environment, and ethical reasons, and they make it easy—and enjoyable—to join that movement. The creativity in the kitchen is evident, from the vibrant salads to hearty mains, and the desserts are simply divine. I enjoyed the Loins Mane Asian-inspired salad that was light and airy and packed with flavor (if you prefer to be light on dressing just ask it on the side for better control). It was really big — after enjoying it I separated leftovers to keep crispy rice things fresh (several pictures attached). My husband loved his “chicken” lions mane burger! Beyond the food, the Craft Roots also highlights the positive impact of a plant-based lifestyle. Knowing that my meal was contributing to better health, lower environmental impact, and a more compassionate world made the experience even more fulfilling. If you’re looking to eat cleaner, live better, and be a part of something larger, I highly recommend checking out the Craft Roots! Whether you're vegan or simply curious about plant-based eating, this place will leave you inspired—and satisfied!
Food tastes great and kung pao was spicy and flavorful. Not a fan of chilli cheese fries compared to rest of the food ordered.
Are here for the first time yesterday! The service is friendly and top notch. We had the Mac and cheez and it was delicious and creamy. We also had the teriyaki vegetable bowl. Delicious and beautiful in its presentation. Portion sizes were ample enough for us to share with leftovers. Note: we are light eaters.
Great place for vegans and vegetarians. A lot of delicious food and even larger selection of beers. The service is very nice and they can advise what is best to choose. Everything can be made gluten free which is always great!
Great buffalo cauliflower, pumpkin tempura, south county pizza, caesar salad, and Korean bqq. There is a great selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to choose from. Whether you are vegan, vegetarian, or just want to try something different, this is a great spot!
Great vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options that are delicious! The buffalo cauliflower bites are a must have every time you go! The drinks are great as well with a large variety and seasonality. Usually very busy so try to reserve ahead if you don’t want a 15-30 minute wait.
The burger and pizza were amazing! We ordered the burger with garlic fries, to die for! The cocktails were refreshing and in perfect balance with the alcohol.
I enjoyed dining here (outside dining was nice). Even though the tables were wooden with slits, there was a plastic cover on top to make the dishes stable when placed and easy for them to clean. Pizza and beyond patty burger were delicious. Got the garden pizza and BBQ burger. Garlic fries were garlic bits around. Delicious!
Came for to-go dinner and was pleasantly surprised by the plant-based options of food. I ordered the bourbon bacon burger and buffalo cauliflower bites - both were delicious. Ambiance in the establishment is cozy, vibrant. Great local owners and very amicable staff. Free parking all around downtown.
Amazing vegan food. I’m a lifelong vegetarian and never had jambalaya like that! The Japanese BBQ cauliflower was perfectly crisped but what made us memorable was the aioli. The Animal Lover pizza tasted original and the crust was perfect. Had the Alameda Cola soda which is how all great drinks should taste. This is now our official Morgan Hill spot!

I was craving wood fired pizza since I became lactose intolerant. Their pizzas are simply delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere here too. Great place to chill and hang out, and even come for dates!
I always leave very happy when leaving Craft Roots. The food is amazing and so flavorful and fresh. This is a Vegan Bar and Grill but you would never even know. Literally the food is that good. You have to have their wood fire pizzas, appetizers are perfect and everything including their sauces are handmade. The signature cocktails are so unique and a pleasant surprise. We have tried them all and they have a nice craft beer tap selection. But what I liked best was the atmosphere - very relaxed and social get together place and the staff is absolutely AWESOME!! I'm sure that's a big part of the reason why this place does so well in the community. Can't wait to go back. Thank you for another great visit!!
So pleasantly pleased by this place. In general, I have a high standard for food, especially vegan. Everything was very good. Drinks didn’t try to cheat me with potency and everything was very good. One of the owners was helping service and connect with customers. She was pleasant showing an empathetic concern for our experience, an over all sweet person. The bartender taking during orders was also a very pleasant person with genuine connection to our table. All workers there seemed to have a genuine love for the place and pleasant disposition. This is the only vegan restaurant I know of in this city of maybe 60K people. Great they are pioneering how good vegan food can taste. Most of our table of 5 were carnivores and all felt very satisfied eating here. Regardless of dietary preferences, good food is good food, clean too. Also many GF options.
A lovely vegan restaurant in downtown Morgan Hill with plenty of healthy and flavorful options. Everything we tried was fresh and satisfying—especially the Nashville hot chicken burger and freshly baked pita bread with hummus. The staff was welcoming, and the environment was perfect for a relaxed meal. We’ll be back!
Such a gem- great food and helpful, genuine servers. Possibly the best vegan mac and cheese I’ve ever had and the salad I got was not your average salad- super creative mix of ingredients, really fresh and portions were enough for a second meal later.
Really good vegan restaurant. They use seasonal produce which really is evident in all the dishes. The bean succotash was a surprise hit, we also really enjoyed the burgers and the curry (again, full use of seasonal vegetables). Also a good beer selection and nice alcohol free cocktail options. Will be back to try more menu items, including the pizza. Friendly staff
The whole family - grandparents to kids - love Craft Roots. I tried a newer dish, the coconut curry, and everyone tried to steal my food! We love it here and we especially love the staff and J!

The food was amazing! Those fries! We took our vegan friend here after Ren Faire. He says he wants to move there just so he can eat here everyday. The staff are so kind and helpful. I wish they were closer to us in the South Bay, but will def be visiting soon (my vegam friend is obsessed!)
A small Veggie restaurant, with inside and out door seats, very convenient location in Morgan Hill downtown. Not too big selections, but dishes fairly good. Nice warm crisp pita. Only their hummus kinda too salty.
Craft roots is an all vegan restaurant with plenty of gluten free options. Their pizza is delicious with a beautiful creamy cheese. I was personally not a fan of their burger but that's just me and I know a lot of people do like it. I wish they would make their own burger patties but they just use impossible meat and add seasonings.

Food and drinks is 9/10 or better. Atmosphere and service arena bit weird. Why am I entering through what feels like back door? The entryway shares space with the water cups, ketchup, and cash register. People waiting to be seated are leaning on your future water cup and breathing on your utensils. Dude jamming out with the pizza dough looks like he’s on one. And why aren’t they wearing a hairnet or hat while preparing food? Is that a sticker on my waitresses face? Why does she have a sticker on her face? The menu has type-o’s in it. Which is of no consequence. But it kinda tells me they don’t think things through or review their work. Good food just, fix the entryway and buy a hat.
