The service here is always so wonderful. If you are looking for a cool country bar and restaurant check them out. The atmosphere is so unique. The home style cooking and menu variety are a nice change of pace for the area.

The Fort is a wonderful place to eat and get a drink. You can also watch games on TV or play pool. The interior is a rustic woodsy feel. With log tables and old signs. The place always has a warm homey feel!

Went for a ride with American Legion Riders and stopped here for lunch. Excellent food, service was great. Did take a little time to get food but was well worth it!

We love the Fort! Went for chicken wings and fish fry. Local hangout with local flavor and small town atmosphere. We're locals too. Hung out at the bar for a couple drinks afterwards to meet old friends and make new friends. The bartender Dawn was awesome! She won't take guff from anyone - that's a good thing!

There were almost 30 of us, even though there was only 1 server and 1 cook on and it was after 8 pm...they made us feel welcomed and were very attentive. They had a huge order out in no time at all. We were beyond happy with our experience ❤️

I’ve walked by The Fort so many times and it always smells fantastic. Finally decided to give them a try tonight and we are definitely coming back in the future. The prices are right, the food is great, and the service was good too! My partner ordered a Tipsy Texan Burger with fries and I ordered a Swiss Mushroom Burger with bacon and a garden salad. The veggies were all fresh, the burgers were cooked to our preferences (which isn’t commonly done right bc we like rare), the fries are fantastic, and it was all so tasty! For the two of us it was only $35 + tip and we both felt full after just that! Plus there seems to be a good amount of parking available which is always nice. 100% coming back on a regular basis I’m sure.

The atmosphere is delightfully backwoods but the food quality I would put up against anyplace anywhere. The staff is amazing. The pizza was delicious greasy cheese pizza that hit the spot. Full bar, pool table and fireplace are all a part of the rustic cabin style!

We stopped here on a trip back to visit Morrisville for an alumni event. The bar appears to be the same as it was about twenty years ago. Same fireplace, pool tables, and country atmosphere. The bartender was helpful and service was quick and polite. This is no fine dining establishment, but if you want some local flavor, this is your place.

Why didn’t I know about this place sooner? Tried The Fort a few weeks ago on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. Very good burger, sides and service. Went back a couple of weeks later for Friday fish fry. Started at our regular place but there was a two hour wait. So we tried The Fort. It did not disappoint! We ended up having a lovely fried halibut and finished before we could get served at the other place. Tonight we went for pizza. The large will ensure that I have breakfast and probably lunch tomorrow too. Ample toppings and thin crust wasn’t too salty like so many others are.

This is your typical farm town/small town bar. The menu is pretty basic but there are a few things that are pretty good such as the wings and tater wedges.

Was there last night. Had beer and pizza. With friends and family. Beer was cold and pizza wast good and hot. Lol

The interior has a nice rustic feel to it. I thought the menu had some unique items on it. The food was very tasty. Price is very good for the food quality. Drinks only got refilled when my order came.

The Fort is large with lots of space with a rustic, cabin-like atmosphere. Looks like it would be a fun bar to hang out in, but we were there for lunch. Food was okay, nothing spectacular, and despite only a few people at the bar, service was very slow. The waitress/bartender was very nice, personable. She, the atmosphere, and our conversation made up for the slow service thongh.

I have been to the Fort multiple times to eat and grab a drink. Three of us went 11/06/2021 on a Saturday. There were two people at the bar and a table or two in the dining area. We ordered burgers and fries, quick food items. The food was good, as always. The problem was the service. I went to the bar twice to get refills on drinks as the barmaid never returned. The food took 45 minutes from order to receipt, the other problem.

Food was great. Waitress/Bartender was friendly. Very casual hunting cabin ambience, and cute campground vibe in the bathroom with walls 100% covered with tag. Also Gov Cuomo stalks from the window with a bullet hole in the head. Hilarious 😆.

The atmosphere was good. The staff was friendly. The menu has a good selection, but it took a very long time for our meals to arrive and my meal was very over done. Ordered medium and got well done. We were the only people at the tables. I think we were forgotten for a while.

I can't rate the food or the drinks or anything because they don't have a handicap entrance so we couldn't go because my dad was with us and is in a wheelchair.

Hamburgers are unseasoned kinda bland. Turkey club was good. If its crowded dont expect to get your meal fast. 30min wait after ordering

Took over an hour to be served a solitary bowl of soup. When food eventually came, it arrived at a pace of one item every 10 minutes. Drinks were never refilled. I don't mind a leisurely lunch, but we could have eaten faster if we had Uber Eats delivered to the restaurant from Syracuse.

People were very rude there especially bar restaurant tenders.we were from out of town and will not visit again

The entire stack of plates at the salad bar were dirty, the fish dinner was not cooked all the way, waited well over 30minutes for 2 fish dinner.

For there being close to no people in here it took a rediculous amount of time to get food. Ordered everything at the same time n our melts with no cheese took an hour to come out. Some of the food was good but not enough to ever come back if ur not completely hammered. Fries tasted and looked like they were a day old.

Stood waiting to get a couple of drinks at bar for over 10-15 minutes with the so called bar tender not once even looking and was also seated at a table with no acknowledgement. We walked out and went to Ray Brothers and had an excellent meal!!!!!!!!!!!

We ordered food that took a hour to get. The chicken was way over cooked, burned and the potato wedges were so over cooked that they were hollow in the inside. The place was loud and filthy. Terrible service and warm beer. Never go there again.

1 person trying to waite on over 30 people and take care of the bar also. Over an hour to get our food. Saw at least 10 people leave. You need more help on a busy weekend.

The alcohol is for display only lol. A person is only allowed to buy three drinks per hour at HAPPY HOUR! Nobody can buy a round of drinks for everyone at the bar during HAPPY HOUR! Why would a bar NOT want to sell alcohol?

Food was very good but the waitress/bartender was using lot of "F" bombs while speaking to a guy at the bar. My husband and I didn't plan on listening to that while having lunch.

It took 30 minutes for appetizers to arrive to the table. There were 4 other patrons at the bar. No one else ordering food. The main course came out over an hour later cold, which consisted of undercooked rubbery chicken wings covered with a watery tasteless sauce. The overcooked hockey puck burger was missing toppings accompanied by a small side of cold fries. The Rueben was unrecognizable and unable to be consumed due to the poor taste. The experience was sad honestly for such a special occasion. That’s the last time I will step foot in there unfortunately and I’m a local. Couldn’t imagine how they function on a Friday night. They must of lost their old cook cause the new one struggles to manage a deep fryer. Almost wanted to ask for a gift certificate with amount reading “Reminder to Avoid “. No quality. Worst 100$ I’ve spent in years.

On September 8, 2025 around 8:30 we had the worst experience. We go here pretty regularly and have always had amazing service. Today the server was very rude. It took about 40 minutes waiting on our food. It came out cold and when we tried to get the servers attention she immediately ignored us. Then after we ate everything and was sitting there for additional 30 minutes she finally came to give us the check and ran off where we couldn’t find her for about another 10 minutes. Then she came out walked past us twice. Then we decided enough was enough and we gave her no tip for being rude. Which while signing the receipt she was looking over our shoulders to see what we were giving her. Then when we were leaving to get into our cars she ran outside after us requesting we give her a reason why we didn’t give her a tip. I have never seen this server here before but we will definitely not being going here while she is on shift.
