We've been coming here for a few years now and were surprised by the restaurant's new look. The menu price has gone up a bit, but the food was absolutely delicious. We had mountain stew and Toteglini with veal as starters, and cachopo as a main course. The food and presentation were truly excellent. And the service was as outstanding as ever.

Contrary to the reviews, we ate the best Madrid stew we've ever had. Beautiful presentation, intense flavors, a generous portion, and excellent service. I wouldn't be surprised if our competitors wrote negative reviews out of envy or helplessness. We'll be back!

I had lunch with my family, and the place is fabulous, with exceptional quality products. The service, in keeping with the location, was excellent, as they give you great advice. This place is a pleasure to visit because of how well we enjoyed ourselves. We'll definitely be back.

The set menu was fantastic for €14.90!! A great variety of dishes to choose from; in our case, we had snails, Palencia-style tartar (avocado, tomato, arugula, marinated anchovies, potato, poppy seeds, and a very mild aioli-like sauce), Galician-style pork knuckle (exquisite), salmon en papillote with dill and vegetables (also exquisite), and a delicious cheesecake!! I highly recommend this place for its set menu, and the service was excellent!! Thank you for our time with you; we'll be back!!

Me da pena no ponerle 5 estrellas, ya que la comida está rica y son muy agradables. Los aperitivos diríamos que son incluso mejor que los mini platos de patatas bravas que hay de raciones. La baja reseña es especialmente porque los camareros mientras esperan en la puerta para atender la terraza no paran de fumar, cosa que nos parece muy antihigiénico y también cuando los llamas están hablando por tlf, fumando y demás y no se enteran. Nos hecha muchísimo para atrás que después de fumar muchísimo (recalco que no es poco) mientras atienden (hemos observado que otros camareros cuando hacen el parón se van a la vuelta) cogen la bebida, la comida y todo sin esa higiene. Son muy agradables y nos da pena la reseña, pero creo que para mejorar, igual que en otros trabajos no se fuma en la jornada, podrían esperar y no dar esa mala imagen. Un saludo

Me he llevado un chasco, me habían hablado bien del sitio. Menú del día 15€, bien, pero no incluye bebida, osea con botella de agua son 18€, solo 2 opciones de primero y 2 de segundo, el segundo que era carne mala y dura. Y para colmo pedimos para llevar uno de los segundos y nos cobran la bolsa 0,30€, no es el precio, es el detalle.

The food is still pretty good, and the prices haven't changed much (fairly given what it's become), but I certainly won't be returning. It's lost its old-fashioned, neighborhood bar feel, where you'd meet up for a drink with your friends and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere the place created.

Fuimos recomendados por un familiar que había estado varias veces cuando tenían barra para tapear, antes de ser solo restaurante. Y todos, inlcuido quien nos lo recomendó, salimos muy defraudados con el nuevo "formato" de restaurante. Y eso que la comida empezó muy bien con el detalle de ponernos una cazuelita de barro con cocido... pero.... El servicio es bueno, los camareros atentos y muy simpáticos. La comida también hay que decir que estaba buena. Pero los precios son desorbitados en relación a la cantidad de comida que sirven en el plato. Y ni que decir de la ridícula guarnición de patatas que dijeron que venía con la carne, de verdad que para eso no pongáis nada... ¿qué cuesta poner una par de patatas medianas, y más cuando pagas 60€ por un chuletón? quedas bien y te llenan el estómago. Así que viendo lo que habíamos comido, se nos quitaron las ganas de pedir postre. Y solo se lo pedimos a la niña. Les deseo todo lo mejor en su nueva aventura, pero nosotros no volveremos más.

Soy del barrio y era un asiduo cuando era una taberna de tapeo con salón, donde se comían muy buenas raciones. Ilusionado con el cambio de imagen y el tener más restaurantes en el barrio fuimos la familia y nos llevamos una gran decepción. Por resumir no vale lo que se come. Platos correctos, que estan buenos pero ninguno memorable o de chuparse los dedos (probamos arroz, calabacín frito, croquetas...). La ración muy justita de cantaidad. Y el precio muy alto para el tamaño de ración y la calidad de la comida. 6 platos para 4 personas (2 niños), con agua y sin postre salimos a más de 30 € por cabeza. Me da pena porque hacen falta restaurantes y negocios que vayan adelante, pero yo no voy a volver. Y lo mismo piensa otra vecina y otro familiar con los que he hablado. Se echa de menos la taberna anterior, o bien me tienen que subir mucho el sueldo.

Ya no es lo que era. Desde que lo han renovado ha perdido el encanto que tenia de taberna. Las raciones ahora son muy pequeñas y el cachopo es individual, muy pequeño y al mismo precio que el de antes para 2 personas. Era de mis sitios preferidos pero ya no creo que vuelva.

Disappointing… €19 for a weekday set menu with a choice of three starters and three main courses. They wouldn't let me choose soup from the three starters; they said it was a complete stew… so I had to choose between two options (lettuce, onion, and tomato salad) and one pepper stuffed with hake. To our surprise, the orange Aquarius and Coca-Cola were NOT INCLUDED IN THE €19 SET MENU. They charged us €3.50 for the drinks. And don't even get me started on the price of the plastic bag (€0.30) on top of the Tupperware container (€0.50). It used to be a great place, with many options, and the prices were much more reasonable. We won't be back. Best of luck with the new management.

We were regular customers. After the change, we already had doubts because it was a place we frequented for a more informal drink; with the removal of the bar, we no longer have that option. Today we went for lunch and were negatively surprised by several things: the much higher price, the smaller variety of dishes, the starters could be greatly improved, and on top of that, the drinks were not included in the price, which, as other reviews say, is quite expensive. The service was friendly and attentive, as always, but unfortunately, the rest of the options are no longer worth it. We're sad because we've been there with families and held celebrations, but that won't be the case anymore.
