Super Pot in Mountain View is one of those spots the boys are always down to wait for. We pulled up knowing there’d probably be a line, and sure enough, we waited about 15 to 20 minutes. Honestly, it never feels that long because you already know it’s going to hit. Once we were seated, ordering through the QR code was stupid easy. No flagging anyone down, no confusion. You just tap what you want and it starts rolling out. And when I say fast, I mean fast. Our first round came out in about 2 to 4 minutes. That kind of turnaround makes a huge difference when you’re starving. The staff is on it too. They were attentive the whole time and swapped out the BBQ grill the second it started getting too charred. That’s clutch because nobody wants burnt flavor ruining good meat. The sauce combinations are fire. I tried the peanut butter dip and low key thought it would be weird, but it actually worked. Sweet, savory, and perfect with the grilled meats. And the fact that dessert is included in the price? Say less. For the quality, speed, and overall vibe, it’s a solid deal. Super Pot is one of those dependable spots where you can catch up with the boys, eat heavy, and leave satisfied without feeling like you overpaid. Always a good move.
Very fast table service. Ok noise level. Large variety of options. Combined price for hotpot+bbq included is ok. Wait was a bit long but not too bad compared to other places in weekend.
One of our favorites! The food is so good, all you can eat, and they have an awesome selection of stuff for the grill, for the hot pot, and appetizers like popcorn chicken and soup dumplings. The sauce bar is perfection. The manager Jay is always on it as well, such a nice guy who is always trying to make improvements.
Electric environment ⭐️ It’s our annual tradition to come here and it never disappoints. The service here is truly fantastic, they take care of all the things you didn’t even know you needed. Even though we cooked everything ourselves we still felt so taken care of because they were filling our drinks and broths, changing out our grill plate and bringing out our ingredients at LIGHTNING speed. I think they can teleport…. It’s always a fun time eating here as you get the best of both worlds! We recommend the spicy pork belly, wagyu beef, napa cabbage, spongy tofu, and biang biang hand pulled noodles. It’s around $38 per person before tax, all you can eat. Make sure you bring an appetite and make a good dipping sauce;) Thank you!! We’ll be back next year <3
Superhot was definitely super hot. Funny enough the “hot pot” was induction heated so it never actually got hot. No risk of burns! This place has a pretty cool setup at each table, you get your own induction plate with power controls right above your lap so you can heat your hot pot as you desire. Induction makes it so you can take your broth straight to boiling in mere seconds. But speaking of fast, we got our order taken and delivered to the table in maybe thirty seconds. Fastest service I’ve ever experienced. The all you can eat is a great deal and way cheaper than other places I’ve been. They also have a great sauce bar to spice everything up. All around great experience. For all the VR nerds out there, this place will have you saying “super….hot….super….hot” by the end of your meal.
***Jan 2024 updated menu in pictures!*** Started our first hot pot of the year here. Overall it’s my favorite in the South Bay Area. You can’t beat the selection of meats and vegetables, along with a “dim sum” section which is enjoyable. There are new additions to the menu, with hand pulled noodles being my favorite. Definitely order these one at a time as they are delicious and filling. The steak is very good when you cook it medium-rare. If you are new to Hot Pot, you can adjust the level of your individual pot from 1-lowest to 5-highest. I stick to 2-3 as the first time I ever did it with 5 I couldn’t taste anything for the next week due to burnt tongue. The side bar has green onions, cilantro, soy sauce, eggs and several other additions to add to your experience. Definitely get some of these to add to the pot! Will 100% recommend this restaurant to friends and will come here several more times this year!
Took kids for a first korean bbq experience. They enjoyed grilling there own meat. A lot of different varieties in both meat and vegerarian options to have. Sauces were great too. They only had one option which was all you can eat. That was a bit pricey for us, since we mostly went for the experience, not all you can eat.
Pretty decent AYCE hotpot and bbq grill spot overall. Walked in on a Sat at 11:30 am and was seated right away for a party of 2. Each person gets their own hotpot soup and the BBQ grill is shared. For the soup bases, we got the superhot spicy soup and spicy miso, both were just ok. Not their strong suit. The meats were decent quality, nothing bad or great. Big variety of food. The dim sum and appetizer dishes were a hit or miss, but mostly hit and surprisingly good. Their all made fresh in house. We were especially impressed by the dessert items, which were all freshly made and piping hot when served. I would say the best items were the galbi, green onion pancake, three flavors dumpling, fried bun, pumpkin mochi, taro ball. The skippable items were the biangbiang noodles (it's like thick dumpling skin) and beef pancake. Order by QR code, which was well designed and easy to use. Service was excellent. Dishes were always cleared almost immediately and food items were delivered quickly after ordering. There is a self serve sauce bar with a large variety of sauces, with daikon and kim chi. Medium/large sized restaurant. It was surprisingly not smokey at all inside, but maybe because they just opened for the day and people don't exclusively just bbq. For $38 per person, can't complain about anything
As someone who hasn't been around Korean BBQ in years, I was happy that their hot pot selection was fairly robust and allowed me to have a pretty substantial meal for $36. My friends and I came here around 17:30 and were able to nab a seat. I think anyone coming after 18:00 should expect a wait and to sign-in on the Yelp waitlist ASAP. You first select your individual hot pot broth before then picking up to 7 items to order from the menu. They have the usual meat options as well as veggies, noodles, and a special menu with app items. Their veggies and plant-based protein choices were quite impressive. Lots of leafy greens to choose from, a ton of tofu and curd options, and even some steamed dumplings. I ended up ordering a lot of greens plus frozen tofu and their hand-pulled noodles, and was stuffed by the end of the 90 minutes. Sauce station was near the door which wasn't the best location if I'm being honest, but the options are quite robust. As a vegan, I already knew what sauces were and weren't suitable for me, but I'd recommend googling something you're unfamiliar with if you aren't wanting to consume something containing fish sauce or shrimp paste, etc. For a place that has this many options for plant-based eaters, I can't deny that they really did hit the spot and had something for everyone.
Mixed feelings on this place. The food, flavors and offerings were good. When I first arrived with our group of four plus a kid we were promptly seated in the back room. Where the air temperature ranged from 55-58°F. While they said they would turn the temperature up, there was people already seated in this area. The end of our experience, the temperature only reached 64°F. While my friend felt we were rushed to order. I interpreted that as they wanted us to get some of the order in soon so we can see what we wanted next. I'm used to that and hot pots and/or bbq situations. So be prepared to order ASAP. But that was just the food order. It took them quite a while to ask if we wanted anything to drink. We were even already eating before we were able to order some Soju, sake, and soda. There are three items that I had to repeatedly ask for since they had not arrived. One item never arrived. The entire visit. We were also presented with three items that we did not order. So attention to detail in the ordering/delivery system is lacking. The food selection in general was okay. Flavors were good. I wish there was more seafood options. Portion size was also a little interesting pork belly seemed appropriate size portion for a table four, yet beef tongue had three razor thin slices?!? Their sauce bar was A+; Great variety of options and kept clean and neat. Multiple staff helped along the way, all friendly, and attentive (while with us but clearly mixed signals after things were submitted on there there ordering system). We also were asked if we got our ice cream at least three times. I didn't know if that was their way of getting us out the door or if they were not communicating with each other that they've already served us it. So overall a good restaurant. Seems like they still need to work some things out. I'm not sure if this is a new place or not. The variety of options in the area, I'm not sure I'll give them a second try.
Super Hot Pot & Korean BBQ is a fun spot if you’re in the mood for both hot pot and Korean BBQ, but keep in mind the food quality is not the highest for an all-you-can-eat place. The selection is decent, but don’t expect premium cuts or the freshest ingredients. The staff is very busy, especially during peak hours, but I do appreciate that they try hard to stay attentive and make sure you get what you ordered without too much waiting. Service feels efficient, and they don’t let your time go to waste. Each party is limited to 90 minutes, which is usually enough but can feel a little rushed if you want to really take your time. Overall, it’s not the best all-you-can-eat spot, but if you’re looking for variety and a lively group dining experience, it gets the job done.
I've been walking past this restaurant many times and yesterday I finally walked in. My review is only based on their kkbq part of food, I have not had their hotpot. Overall, a very nice place, will be coming back but it is not my favorite kkbq in the Bay Area. The good: - easy check in - waiters are always on the move, taking the empty plates, brining the orders, - seemed pretty clean - tasty meats - okag pricing - you can grab all your sauces and extras yourself and however much you need - they offer ice cream after your meals The bad: - tiny portions. The tiniest I've ever seen. the meats come with 3-5 slices, the dumplings come in sests of 2 whole other places have sets of 5-6, the corn comes in sets of 2 You can order 5 meats and 5 sides at a time
This is a nice all you can eat Korean BBQ plus hot pot place. The staff was very patient and explained how to order since it was our first time. Each person gets their own broth. I got the classic pork bone broth which I quite liked. You then get to order 5 meats and 5 sides for the whole table. Once you've finished, you can order again. I liked the wagyu and pork bulgogi a lot! The spring roll was quite crispy and tasty. They have around 100 things to choose from which is really nice. You also get a free dessert. It is a little pricey but probably justified since it's all you can eat. The staff was very attentive and the service was super fast.
Combination of hot pot and Korean BBQ at this all-you-eat restaurant in downtown Mountain View. There are also some dim sum items, but I would not recommend them. Meats were of decent quality, but some or the marinated beef was too sweet. Plenty of sauces and other herbs and spices to make your own dipping sauce. Service is super fast, but each portion is relatively small. Plenty of street parking and also several nearby parking lots.
If gluttony was a restaurant this would be it. Came here with some friends the other day and I can't stop thinking about it. It's all you can eat Chinese hot pot, Korean BBQ, and Dim sum for about $38 per person. The meat quality was good and while the dim sum wasn't amazing quality, it was satisfactory. I loved the bulgogi and wagyu. The wagyu was tender. I loved how the waiters patiently explained everything and were quick with the service. The food was very good considering the price and the sauce bar was perfect. Highly recommend!
This is an all-you-can-eat restaurant where you have a hot-pot and Korean BBQ on the same table. It is possible to add your party to the waitlist using the Yelp app or at the restaurant. You will get a fair accurate estimate of your wait time. Each person can order a soup base. The menu is extensive with excellent selections of meat, seafood, vegetables, sides and dim-sum. There is a 90 minute time limit. Service is attentive and quick.
Came here with me wife for some all you can eat hotpot. Came here on a Wednesday night near 6:30 pm so had absolutely no wait, which was great. Seats are nice and large and service was fast. Quality of meat isn't bad for the price. Could always be better but honestly can't complain. I will come here again.
Excellent service. They have both hot pot and grill setup at the table. They have foxed rate of $36 per person. At a time we can order 5 meats and 5 sides. We ordered tom yum soup which was way too sour, would recommend to try some other soup. The service is blazingly fast. We took wine marinated lamp and grilled it, which tasted amazing. Spicy fish fillet and imitation crabs were tasty too. At the end they offered oreo ice cream which was tasty too.
Let me be very clear. You go to Superhot Hot Pot & Korean BBQ (SHPKB) for its "cheapness", and that is what you get for the food. You do not go to SHPKB to have a great meal or be impressed by the food. This is not a date spot. This is not for business meals. This is where you go when you are hungry with friends. Now with that cleared up: The atmosphere plays along with the Supreme logo and branding. Love the effort the owner has put in there and has had fun with it. It can be a bit too much but for a joint that wants to be playful, this is totally in tune. The service is fast. Perhaps too fast. Essentially, everything is pre-prepared and the servers are just bringing it out. They must have figured out a factory style kitchen (sort of like conveyor belt sushi). The amount of appetizers and non-meat dishes are quite mind-blowing. There's a lot of variety. Some may taste good but none really hit it out of the park. Again, you go there for the cheap price and finger-food for the alcohol you're consuming. The meat is the worst. You can tell that the parts are cheap slices, tough, dry, etc. But who cares. It's cheap right? And again, you are having fun drinking beer and soju with your friends. The reason why I give it 2 stars is I believe the quality of the food has gone below what I think is acceptable. It's just a slap in your face saying "yes, I'm cheap, so what?" Yes, I understand once again that this is that type of a place - all-you-can-eat hotpot and BBQ for an insane price of $38 per head for dinner! I don't think you get that type of value anywhere else in the Bay Area. But I wouldn't return quite frankly. Also, I would think you want to keep the menu focused so that the kitchen can do a few things right. Not at SHPKB. You have Korean, Thai, Japanese, Chinese, and more all coming together in a random way. And none of them are great. You leave the restaurant not feeling good, but just bloated badly. You feel like a badly fed pig, rather than being satisfied.
Heard a lot of good things about Superhot, but definitely fell short of my expectations. They use Yelp waitlist and it gets super messy. They go off exactly by priority. If you miss hearing your name get called, you likely won't be able to get your spot. As someone else mentioned, floor is super greasy. Be careful when walking. Absolutely terrible location to have the sauces. Right by the door. When they get busy, you just have people in line trying to get sauces and people waiting to get sat blocking everything. Staff is a bit blunt/ignorant. Asked to swap one of the soups since the spicy miso, and it wasn't very good, and they said we needed to pay to swap the soup base. Some staff only bus tables and will just bluntly say "we don't take orders" and then run off. Hot pot was just ok. KBBQ brisket was probably the best. Nice and fatty. Everything else was just average. For $36/head for dinner, probably not the best value meal...especially with the headache you might have to deal with. Parking can be a bit tough during peak hours.
