Tea Annie is a popular local cafe known for its diverse tea selection, including unique flavors like Rose Iron Goddess and Osmanthus Oolong. Customers rave about the quality of the tea and boba, but note that the drinks can be quite sweet, so ordering with less sugar is recommended. The crepes and spicy fries are also popular.

This is such a nice place to get a well made beverage. I like that they give you the option of unsweetened. Very nice staff.
Love the fact that they have many decaf tea options. Have already been there twice. The service is great, fast and the bubble tea tastes delicious 😋. I had the decaf green tea with boba.
I have had boba at several places in the South Bay Area, and so far for me Tea Annie is the best (at least for what I get, which is the Taro milk tea boba 50% sweet). The flavor is really good and the boba has the perfect consistency every time! I just wish they were open more days/times.
One of our favorite bubble tea spots in the area. The homemade tofu pudding is the best in our area (better than MeetFresh). The smoothies/slushies are the kids' favorite. I also enjoy the egg yolk cakes, which are made from scratch by the owner. And the owner, Jimmy, is to nicest guy!
One of the best (and underrated) tea place I discovered whole looking for a new tea place. There's a lot of different unique flavors to try, and the waiting time isn't too long either. Definitely one of my favorite places to go!
My favorite boba place!! The earl grey milk tea is so good, and they offer 1/2 milk which gives it a strong tea taste. Employees are friendly as well! :)
Never knew this place existed until I walked past it today. Pretty good overall. The food was yummy and the drinks were flavorful and authentic. It was pretty busy when we were there so seem like a popular spot for the locals.
It's quite a treat going here. I'd rather just skip having boba tea elsewhere until I can go back to here every month. The matcha swirl and the mango swirls are great (maybe 50% or 75% sweet).
IMPORTANT: they close at 6pm, not 9 The boba is great but the Google Maps listings has the wrong hours which is very frustrating. Please update the hours on Google and I’ll change to 5 stars Edit: thank you for updating! 😊
Our favorite place for crepes and smoothies, pastries and sweet tofu soup. The owner and staff are all very nice and friendly.
Staff was very friendly and the pastries were delicious. It smelled so good as soon as you walked in the door. I would definitely come back.
Great bubble tea. Friendly/happy staff. The drink is not too sweet which suits my taste. Parking is easy to find.
Great boba tras and smoothies. Friendly service. We come at least 3 times a week and the quality is consistently good.
Everytime I walk through the door I'm greeted by the friendly staff, and welcomed by a clean environment. The tea is always a refreshing treat, and the crepes are to die for.
Great place. Nice owners/staff that are also quick. Everything's great except for their taro. The taro is EXTREMELY delicious.
Quick and friendly service with a wide variety of drink and dessert options. An always clean and pleasant atmosphere guarantees that I will definitely be back.
Great tea, great service, and amazing fresh taro smoothie! Their fresh taro smoothie is better than the ones at famous chains!!!
I always get the black milk tea with half sweetness after church. Always good, if you want to go I recommend getting this drink.
Tea Annie is one of my favorite spots to go for Boba. Hands down one of the very best spots in the Bay Area!!
You have to try their crepes! Made with top quality ingredient, perfect recipe, crunchy on outside soft on the inside. Fresh fruit and now I am going to stop because you have to try it for yourself. Spread the word, leave them a review our Mountain View community needs more small businesses like this!
The tea here is aromatic and delicious! Uses fresh milk (not powder). Flavoring is on the sweeter side so order less sweet than you would typically order.
Great boba. I have been to most of the well known places in the Bay Area and I would say that they make some of the best, highest quality milk tea.
Wow. I got a mango swirl and it was delicious. I definitely suggest this to anyone looking for a better tea or smoothie place. While Teaspoon and T4 (which are nearby) are okay, this place were way beyond them (and boba guys but they barely count.) A friend recommended Tea Annie’s to me. The boba is perfectly soft. I will be coming back here in the future. :)
The best tea out of any boba shop available. Rose Iron Goddess milk tea is excellent. Plenty of customization.
Yumyum!! I had the combo 豆花. It was good!! I have craved 豆花 for a while, and I saw it on the menu when I came in. I was so excited. And it didn’t disappoint me at all. I’ll definitely come again for 豆花next time.
I got the pineapple oolong herbal tea. The tea tasted great and the boba was perfectly soft and chewy. Will try them again.
Covid safe, so delicious, there are benches nearby to sit down and chat with friends too! You order/pay at the front, grab your drink on the side door. Thank you!

Great ratio of boba to tea. Good boba (chewy, soft, sweet, but warm). Kind staff, they were very helpful. Welcoming store. Great display of tea leaves inside. The drinks were made quickly. The tea was a little too sweet but tasted great.
I'm local to Mountain View, so I 100% support small and local businesses that keep the Bay Area unique. Nothing against franchises, but I love that they have super good quality and unique options here at Tea Annie and that they are a local, small biz. The Tea Quality here is excellent and rivals Chicha San Chen. Not to overhype anything, but I'm a tea connoisseur having tried so many different types in Taiwan and China. My go-to is the White Grape Oolong, They have a lot of the tea leaves on display on the front. The kiosk ordering is also convenient. The staff really knows their stuff and there are some seats, so it's a nice ambience overall. It's a friendly neighborhood tea shop. It's one of the only tea shops in this area, so that is a plus for them. Parking is a breeze in the Safeway parking lot.
I love their selections of toppings, teas, infusions, and smoothies! Many of their teas or infusions seem to be freshly made for your order. If you don't want your drink to be overly sweet, however, ask for 25% (or less) sweet. The only thing I'd change is if perhaps the milk tea was a little stronger on the tea side of things. I'd happily go back! P.S. If you're gluten-free, they don't really have any options. If gluten isn't a limitation, it looks like they have a nice selection of crepes and nibbles!
This place is such a hidden gem! I originally came in because I was looking for a place with Rooibos milk tea. Their version is excellent (at 50% sugar or less), and they also have a lot of other interesting teas, like Four Seasons Jadeite (deep, vanilla-flower flavor), Roasted Sencha, several different oolong varieties, etc. They also have a sampling table, where you can smell some of the teas! Such a better experience than a lot of the popular bubble tea shops around.
The crepes are sooooooo good! Green tea and Oolong tea are nice as well. Together made a delightful quick lunch.😀
Good hang out area. The spicy fries are exciting and true to its name. Special Lychee Okinawa green matcha worthy for lychee lovers
We go here regularly and love it. The variety of flavors is great. They always have sample tea flavors to try which a great way to discover new favorites. Ask for half sugar if you don't like your mill tea too sweet.
By far my favorite tea place. They got great teas you just can’t get anywhere else. Flavoring is very sweet so I’d recommend asking for 50% sweetness or less. My favorite is a black rose milk tea. Also snacks are really good! Id expect lower quality food from a tea place but thats not the case at all. Had no idea what takoyaki was but man it was good; I highly recommend trying them!
There are some mixed reviews out there but this place was good for me. Had osmanthus oolong milk tea, no sugar, less ice. Tea flavor was strong and the drink was cold enough. Tax included pricing. Fair value if you don't do fancy add-ons though the topping choices at least look interesting. Solid 4.5.

A wonderful family owned tea shop with lots of choices and variety. The tea is solid, but not spectacular while the variety of snacks and small dishes is varied and quite good. Lots of east asian desserts like grass jelly, takoyaki, silken tofu, crepes, etc. Glad to have this business in the neighborhood! It's a shop that is frequented by high schoolers.
Tea deserves 5 stars, but calamari was far below average for a bubble tea place, would recommend getting a crepe instead if you're looking to snack.
It’s really good but $1 for no ice is a bit insane. Not everyone likes ice cold drinks.
Can get crowded after schools let out. Otherwise a nice quiet place for crepes & savory treats. Reasonable prices!
Pretty good boba. It felt a bit watered down, but it's still good. Egg pudding was a bit too much and filled half my cup. Popping boba was great. Will visit again but avoid adding egg pudding to the milk tea.
Great local boba tea spot, large and confusing menu but the more the merrier. Solid boba tea
Decent pearl tea place with pastries. The sweetness is just right and well balanced with the flavor of tea. Price is fair at roughly $4.5 each including toppings. They use their own point card system for buy 10 get $3.5 off a future order with a 6 month expiration date. The staffs are friendly and store setup is pretty simple. I wish the decor can be a bit fancier and more welcoming.

I only tried the bubble tea and it was ok. I ordered decaf black milk tea, and it tasted minty with a weird aftertaste. I will be going to Ocha for decaf milk tea instead. Though next time I might try some of their snacks.
Tea tastes bland and not much flavor to it. It actually tastes like diluted tea with a lot of sugar. Too bad as it’s the closest boba place near Los Altos downtown.
We got taro and caramel bubble teas and both were not any tasty. I'd say they tasted like medicine. Also even though we got a 25% sweetness the drinks were very sweet too.
I’ve been to this store and left with nothing more times than I’ve been and bought something. It’s always closed??? Either the employees just close whenever or this place is not open according to their hours posted. I just want boba it shouldn’t be this hard
For some reason this place is adding a convenience fee to all orders. I'm always happy to support a small business but please be transparent and don't add weird mandatory fees.
