Joe's Crab Shack - Myrtle Beach

Of all of the places we dined in Myrtle beach... this was by far the best. The prices were fair for what we got and we hot alot. This is my new favorite restaurant

A Great Experience, the staff was fun and friendly!! Food was on point!

We came here on a Wednesday. With almost no one else outside in the back, you wouldn’t expect them to take almost an hour to bring out your food. The food itself looked great, sure - my land and sea was excellent, there’s something almost mesmerizing about that garlic butter - but for my wife? $45-50 for undercooked potato’s and crab legs with almost no meat just doesn’t make sense… The area it’s in is PERFECT, but we’ll probably never go to this Joe’s location again. The next time we visit Myrtle Beach, we’ll stick to something more essential like King George’s Seafood Buffet.

Very nice staff accommodation gluten and dairy free seasoned shrimp and asparagus and potatoes are good!

My wife and I ate here, the food was amazing and Mr. Jessie was great! Will be returning!

Enjoy a great meal. the service was great, which was impeccable. The shark man was a nice touch. When I'm at the beach I gota have my seafood deal. Broadway on the beach is right there.zkinda like a one-stop shop . Allways make it a goal to stop there. Watch wait times, does get busy.

Jesse was a great server who was very attentive throughout the meal! We had great food and enjoyed our time! We also liked his Korn shirt!

Had a wonderful experience here! The food was delicious, and the service was fantastic—Julia was so attentive and made sure everything was perfect. The atmosphere was warm and lively, with so many families celebrating special moments. Definitely a place I’d love to come back to!

I had my first experience at Joe’s Crab Shack. My server/waitress Holly was amazing! She answered my questions about the menu and she kept check on me the entire time I was there. It was a great experience and I will be back the next time I vacation at Myrtle Beach!

5/17/2025 - Stopped in dinner. Seated quickly. The service was great and the food came quickly and very good. Quickly seated. Not too busy and I liked the décor. The food a came quick, was hot, and tasted very good.

Ate dinner here on Christmas Day! Excellent service. Jesse was awesome. Food was delivered in a timely fashion and was very delicious.

This was my first time at a Joe's Crab Shack and I loved it! Our waitress Cynthia was phenomenal! She was fun, lively, attentive, she offered suggestions on places to go and really made me and my group feel taken care of. It was top notch customer service all around. The food was good. I shared a steam pot of crab/ shrimp. The drinks were good. Plus, every now and then the staff will do a team dance. I'd definitely recommend this place!

It was so good I couldn’t kelp myself but to take an extra slice home for later! **Conclusion:** In a nutshell, Joe’s Crab Shack at Broadway at the Beach is a must-visit. Ioana is a foreign exchange from Romania, she’s working at Joes for the next few months. And let me tell you she was absolutely the BEST. I didn’t want to commit to the work of cracking open snow crabs but she convinced me too and man where they worth it, when you go in ask for her! She’s great.

The food was amazing, the service was amazing, and most of all the food was amazing. Our server was Mr.Jessi and he is so respectful and full with joy. He always has a smile on his face. That man deserves a raise he’s actually amazing. Great Job Sir. Now that food, that food is just too good, I asked for a well done American burger and I got just that. Our food came extremely fast. I HIGHLY recommend Joe’s Crab Shack and Mr.Jessi 😊

This was my planned “Big Dinner” stop for my annual trip this year, so I knew I was going all out. I got the Crab Daddy Feast Boil and I added Lobster Claws and Grilled Shrimp. I closed out my meal with the Apple Crumble. For beverages I got the Lifeguard Cooler and the Shack Mojito. My drinks were delicious. The mojito was a good balance of sweet to rum so that you didn’t loose the flavor of the rum. The Lifeguard Cooler tasted life Kool-Aid. I couldn’t really taste the liquor at all. Both my drinks came with promotional cups that I got to take home, which is always a plus. The crab and the shrimp were spot on. It was exactly what I wanted it to be. Considering the location and the fare, the portion sizes were decent for the price. I had to quit while I was ahead and take some home because I knew I wanted to leave room for dessert. The apple crumble was great. It was nice and warm and not too sweet for me. The ice cream was rich and creamy but not overly so. I was sat immediately when I came. My food arrived to my table very quickly. My waitress was super nice. I was dining alone so I was trying to text and eat, which made me a very slow diner. However, she was very kind about it. She checked in on me several times. Way more than I usually get at most places. All-in-all I was very pleased with everything about my experience at Joe’s Crab Shack.

I'm a disabled veteran with a service dog. I went to eat at Joe's crabshack at the Boardwalk in Myrtle Beack sc. Nov. 4th around 230pm. I want to say Thank you to the staff that day, you made my year (not day). The waiter was very attentive without being overbearing. He offered water for my service dog, even though not required. I appreciated the gesture. More than that I felt seen, not just because I had a service animal, but like I was a human being, not just a disability. I ordered the crab stuffed cajun salmon, it came out plated picture perfect and tasted amazing, compliments to the chef on duty. Thank you Joe's Crabshack of the Boardwalk in Myrtle Beach ,SC. I haven't eaten alone in a restaurant in 30 years, and it was the best experience I could have ever hoped for. Thank you personally to my table waiter, you set the bar high for how all waitstaff should treat their customers, in all restraunts globally, thank you, thank you, thank you. I was told that it is the Broadway not the Boardwalk., whichever it is it was an amazing experience.

My wife and I were there in November 24th and it was such a pleasure to be there. Our Server Jacki was absolutely amazing she made sure that we had everything we needed while giving us a very home like feeling being there! I highly recommend dining here! Make sure you ask for Jacki when you go you wont regret it!

Jesse was our waiter for a 21 party and was amazing the whole time. From his personality to his prompt attention to everything we needed the whole time. Food was great and we will most definitely be back!

First timer. Waitress was great! The cheese bricks were so yummy! The shrimp Alfredo needed some salt, and maybe more shrimp for the price, but it was still good. The garlic bread was too hard to eat. Id still order it again... I'd like to also go back and try other things.

The food is really good here. The seasoning is on point, and not overpowering. The Shrimp peel and eat, with Cajun seasoning was highly tasteful. I would recommend trying these nice size 1/2 pound and 1-pound shrimp dishes out. Try all of their other food choices and options on their menu, as they to are well worth trying. The service we received was above good. The bar girl was of good spirit, respectful, and very friendly with all of us customers that were present during our eat-in time there. Definitely a great place, and environment to go for great food.

Food was very good, stuffed mushrooms big with alot of filling. Fried shrimp large with just the right amount breading. Salmon with a seafood topping along with lump crab was a little spicy but still good. Our waiter Aaron was exceptional.

First time eating here, and we were very pleased. The service was attentive, prompt and accurate. The restaurant itself is funky and cool with a fun vibe. It sits right on the lagoon, and there is outside seating and a kids’ playground. My wife had fish and chips, which she declared very good; the portion was quite large, and she barely finished half. (Those reviews declaring that the “portions were small” are ridiculous, especially ones which show photos of plates piled high with food) I had the cheeseburger, which came with a side of excellent cole slaw and delicious pickle slices, as well as seasoned fries. The burger was served on a toasted brioche roll, a nice touch. Both dishes came with fries, which were OK and a bit soggy. If they were crisp, it would be awesome. We had a coupon for a free appetizer of the day, which was a tasty crab and cheese dip served with chips. A young man in the “Welcome” booth just outside the entrance offered us the coupon. Overall it was a fun and delicious lunch; we’re locals and so will definitely return. The only (slight) negative was that the background music was a bit too loud, but it wouldn’t prevent us from returning.

This is my first time to this location. The food was on oar with other Joe's I've been to. The service was good and the staff was friendly. The standout thing here is the location, right on the waterfront. They also have both inside and outside seating which is a plus in my book

Always a little loud here, but food was good. Favorite was stuffed bacon wrapped shrimp and artichoke dip. Steak was cooked perfect. Shrimp scampi was lacking flavor. Grilled shrimp is delicious. Broccoli could stand a little more cook time.

The food was pretty good however the steak was a lil bland. Also it would help if there were flavored rice as a option rather than just plain white rice and the Love Potion drink taste like it had nothing but just juice in it. I'd recommend a additional shot of Rum or choose another drink. Our waiter was extremely helpful, nice and prompt

My wife tells me that for crabs, this place is very good. In fact, every time we come here she really enjoys it. For someone who is not a big fan of seafood, this place is average, at best. My steak was dry, over-cooked & tasted bland. My son’s tenders were too spicy. Our service was fantastic and there’s lots of cool decor, so I would rate this at 3.7.

4.855 out of 5 stars. Awesome customer service. The feel of the restaurant is amazing. When you go into the building, you instantly feel welcomed and you can smell the aura of seafood. We had a huge family and they were able to seat us in a timely manner. Food price is worth the cost. Quality of the food was good. My fries were a bit salty. The lobsters were very salty as well. Other than that, everyone enjoyed their food. And the customer service was excellent. It is located at Broadway at the Beach, so you can definitely walk off your food. Overall, excellent service, great food, good quality, well priced, good spacious tables.

Upon arriving we had a hard time communicating with the host as she didn't appear to speak much English we wanted to sit at another table and we were trying to tell her that. The food was ok except when they brought our food out they mixed up our steam pots they gave me my husbands cajun one by mistake and I ate a few bites and it was spicy it seems as if they got our food mixed up with each others food. The drinks were good no issues there it cost us 360 for 4 people plus the tip so it is a bit pricey.

The food is good and affordable. Not the most food for your money with all of the buffets around Myrtle Beach. They have merchandise and a play area. The outdoor seating is nice on the water. Didn't give it 4 stars because we asked for some substitutions (veggies for fries...etc.) and it came out wrong.they rectified the problem with one order, but still didn't get the kids meal correct. Overall a fun place to eat.

Tasty lunch! We visited after having a terrible experience at a different restaurant - so nice to know what we would get. We had the fish tacos and a seafood platter. We also enjoyed our cocktails - and came home with glasses with our purchase 😀

Love the decor. The staff was kind and personable. The food was decent. Would have loved a bit more for the prices, but I get that it's ina touristy spot.

Server was a bit newer/nervous but very attentive, He did a fine job attending to us that night. Food was delicious, we haven't been to a Joe's crab shack in a fewyears, but all the food was delicious. We got some seafood, plus I got a steak to go along with mine, everything was delicious. In addition, this location has a small playground/play place out back to allow children to play at, and seems to cater well to families.

My wife really enjoyed the crab cakes. My Salmon was pretty dried out, so I would try something different next time. The service was excellent. The drink my wife had was good. I will try it again.

The host was really sweet and I love the restaurant decor . The food was just ok. Service started off bad but they made up for it at the end. I enjoyed the coconut shrimp sauce. I will not be rushing back but will probably eat again. I like that they have the playground for kids and they had some good shirts in the store. I feel like it was a bit expensive for some items as well.

Relatively expensive seafood combined with slow service and a chaotic atmosphere regardless of when you go. It’s good but it feels like quality of service and food has slowly fallen over the past 5-6 years. The waitstaff is plenty nice but you can be there when it’s super busy or completely empty and it will take largely the same amount of time to get your order. Either way, next trip to Myrtle will inevitably end up with a meal here.

The food was good. I know they were busy, but our waiter Jesse took 15-20 minutes to get to our table just to get our drink order. I just hope he's new. I understand it gets busy & hectic, but the people that were already seated & eating, he kept going to those tables instead of coming to ours. Another table waited 45 minutes to an hour for him to come & get their drinks. Actually we were getting ready to leave but he finally came to our table. I'm not sure if I'll be back. It wasn't worth the wait.

The restaurant itself was nicely decorated and gave you the feel of a seafood restaurant. The service was good and Jessica was attentive to our needs. However, I had the Dungeness special (table ad) but I did not enjoy it! The "spicy" flavoring was plain and I ended up having to ask for hotsauce in order to ad some type of spice. The crablegs seemed to be old, the potatoes was too firm like they needed to cook longer. The corn had no flavor. The shrimp were good in the steamed special and the fried ones. We ordered the calamari appetizer and basically ate 1/4 of it. Definitely not interested in returning.

Hostess was friendly and accommodating. Bartender had a steady hand and a friendly smile. Food was average, shrimp wrapped with bacon were on the smaller side, fries were rather greasy but the lobster was tender and the stuffed crab was delicious!! Biggest issue was our service. Sweet tea remained empty throughout our stay, managing to only get 1 refill after asking another waitress for assistance. Then to top it off… our waitress whom neglected to fill my husbands drink… had the audacity to say, “Oh, you finish that quick” after serving me a Cat-5 aprx 30 minutes prior, when I asked for another. Sorry my water was empty and I was dying of thirst half way through my meal… I have never been so taken back before in all of my years!! Are you kidding me… I am not a “Karen” by no means and let a lot slide because I understand times are tough. However, you had 3 tables, “3” and you choose not to make eye contact, spew snide comments to your paying customer and act as if we were not there… Negatory Batman… I gave you half the tip that a normal person would have obtained. 5% was what you deserved. Be lucky you received one… Even though I would of given you only 2¢… My conscience stepped in and reminded me that we all need to make a living. You… not as much as others… but still… you delivered our food and ultimately provided us with drinks (eventually). Thank you for the service that was provided.

If I could give this 0 stars I would. Most pathetic crab legs crusted I’ve ever seen. Over cooked meat stuck to the shell. 45.99 didn’t even fill a normal dinner plate and we both left still hungry?! Crazy to me. I would never go back. Drinks weak all watered down and juice. My partners chicken tenders were child’s side partition. I get its off season for y'all as far as people go but damn. First bad food place we have been since being down here. 0/10 will never go back.
