Seriously delicious meal this evening! Fish sandwich was on point, and my onion rings were spot on! Wasn't very busy on this day, so service was predictably good. Daughter wanted to go simply because of their Mac and cheese... I'll be headed back 💯👈🏽
Delicious food, great service, and a fantastic happy hour with 1/2 off wine and cocktails from 4-6pm. Don’t miss it!
The Q was amazing from the Food,Service,Ambiance, was simply the best!!!!we will be back!!
Walking in was refreshing and then with the music selections was GREAT! The service was wonderful and informative. The food ... i had the baby back ribs and a side of mac and cheese and the meat was falling off the bones! Absolutely delicious! Im going back for sure.
OMG!!! Their fried chicken and macaroni and cheese is amazing!!!! The fried chicken has brine that tastes like juniper maybe. It is unique but amazingly good. I fought over the mac and cheese. So amazing. Also tried the baby back ribs which were very good. But everything paled in comparison to the fried chicken for me. I love this place. I live in Suisun now but I will definitely be returning to Napa for dinner soon.
I had the fried chicken and three meat barbecue selection. The chicken was amazing with the clear hot sauce. The barbecue wasn't too shabby either perfect brisket to the point it melts like ice cream
I took my wife and my daughter to the Q for my daughter’s 21 birthday and the manager Matthew was so kind and helpful. The food was fantastic and the staff was very pleasant and kind. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and even greater service. What a pleasure.
Comfortable ambiance and friendly staff. The manager Matthew is very welcoming and attentive. We had Crispy fried chicken that was perfectly seasoned! Creamy Mac and cheese, tender collard greens. The Herb crusted cod was meaty and flaky over a bed of mashed potatoes. Deviled eggs were also very good. The cornbread is brought to you warm in a personal-size skillet with honey butter melting over it. Everything was delicious!!! Can’t believe I’ve been in Napa 2 years and just found this place. We will definitely be back!
The food and service were both great. We stated with the sticky ribs, very tasty. We finished with the Q Lime pie, a big hit. I had the Asian fried chicken salad and the corn bread. My wife had the fish and chips. We both really enjoyed our dinners.
Excellent Napa restaurant. Upbeat, hip cool vibe. Indoor or outdoor seating. Great selection of cocktails, wine and beer. Our late lunch on a beautiful, sunny Thursday afternoon was sublime. Special mention: appetizer lamb burgers, hanger steak, and Angus cheeseburger with all the accoutrements. We will definitely be back. Great service. Happy staff. We are locals. We will be back...Absolutely!!!🍔🍸🍷🍇
Stopped after wine tasting. My friend and I shared an order of fried pickles. I had their smoked chicken sandwich and she had the pulled pork. Everything was delicious!! Highly recommended if you are in the Napa area. We didn't have the fried chicken, but rumors are they do a good one! Service was quick and friendly, tables inside spaced out and the outdoor area is shielded from the parking lot by bamboo barriers. Very cute.
I love their fried chicken sandwich, but with creamy coleslaw rather than the vinegar-jalapeño slaw it normally comes with. The mac and cheese and cornbread are also great. While they forgot our drinks for our to-go order, and my husband didn't like his pork, I would still go back, and I hope they keep serving the fried chicken sliders at Bottlerock too! Best fried chicken sandwich in Napa!
Went here for a business Christmas event and it was wonderful. Food like the brisket chicken corn bread and everything else was amazing im still dreaming about it today. Service was phenomenal thank you to the waiters chief's and bartenders and everyone else it was amazing. Happy its in a much better and deserved location then where it used to be! Will be dinning here soon!!!!
Comfortable atmosphere friendly wait staff appears to be a local/neighborhood bar
Amazing- our party of 6 took a chance on this restaurant - found it on Open Table. The brisket reminds me of the brisket my grandfather in Texas made. Delicious homemade sausage, tender ribs, spicy shrimp, and incredible greens and cornbread. (oh and you can skip the artichoke) Excellent service too!
The Q continues to satisfy. Great menu and good service. Wine list had a good Napa offering and selection. Had dinner with friends and we were all very happy with our meals. I recommend The Q!
Visiting Napa for a few days, found this place via Google and Yelp just a few minutes from our hotel. Parking was easy in a big shopping center and we were able to sit outside and enjoy the perfect California weather. Service was quick and fairly attentive, maybe could have been a bit better but not enough to take away a star. Food was delicious, my wife had the grilled cheese and I had the combo ribs and pulled pork. We also had a side of mac and cheese. Everything was excellent. Good beer and wine selection as well, prices in line with what I would expect. Recommend a visit.
Delicious! Spicy cilantro coleslaw, cornbread and the Q for two. So much food…took home enough meat for probably four sandwiches. Drinks were way overpriced however but food was great!
This restaurant has a great selection of cocktails, wine and beer. Further, the atmosphere is relaxed with a great happy hour. Entrees range from $16 to $39. The food offerings range from fried pickles and to barbeque. Sides range from corn on the cob to fries and coleslaw. They offer dessert drinks and other tasty items. I recommend the half-chicken with coleslaw and a sundae for dessert. The ice cream comes from Double Rainbow Ice Cream, which is a premium brand from San Francisco. It's a great place for just one person or a group.
We ordered curbside last night, 10 piece fried chicken, came with coleslaw, we ordered a side of mac and cheese and collard greens, it was DELICIOUS!! LOVED IT ALL!! It will now be on our list of favorites!! Thx
Great service! BBQ sauce selection is on point try the Carolina sauce and hot sauce. Service was great our waitress was also our bartender. Victoria maybe... We had the baby there for a late lunch a week ago. Our waitress used to work with the manager at a catering job awhile ago & followed her. Customer service was amazing and food wonderful
This may sound silly but the past couple years I've dictated where I eat by searching for good mac n cheese. I've been to about 5 or 6 different BBQ joints scattered across the nor cal area and this is the only place that made me happy (mac n cheese wise). Creamy and cheesy inside with a little baked on top, which is my preferred combo. My partner and I tried the sample platter, which gave us more than enough food, each option was delicious, I really enjoyed the chicken and sausage. I think we came earlier in the day so there was not too much hustle and bustle, and our waiter was attentive and helpful. Look forward to returning again.
Wound up coming here after the restaurant across the street had a 2 hour wait. What a pleasant surprise! Glad we decided to give it a try. The food and customer service was great. And to top it off, they had a good selection of R&B music playing in the background. The owner Gene was really nice. The deviled eggs, chicken wings, cornbread, and ribs were a hit. Will definitely be back.
I strongly suggest you eat at the Q if you have the opportunity. My family had a gathering of 7 people on a Friday night. Yes, we enjoy getting together, so no one really noticed the food was a little long to come out. Given all the circumstances, I give them a pass. The roasted artichokes were delicious. Everyone enjoyed all the different entries. The BBQ platter for 2 was very good. I had just the grilled cheese with pulled pork that was a treat. It was simple, filling and a step above my expectations. Sorry, I was without my phone so no pictures.
Cozy spot right in the heart of Napa. Took the wifee there for her birthday. Really enjoyed the setting and food !
Food top tier! We came in town for the weekend and actually had plans to go to another restaurant that couldn’t accommodate us. Ended up at Q and no regret at all! Food put smiles on our faces and contentment in our bellies, drinks awesome and staff wonderful! 😊😊 putting it on our list for our NAPA return. Came from Michigan!
We have been coming to The Q for years! I love many of the dishes and side dishes! We generally get Fish sandwich or Bbq sandwich awesome bun btw, it comes with fries which are fantastic. The fried chicken is really delicious too. Sometimes I sub out a salad instead of fries with my fish sandwich. They use fresh butter lettuce and with Granny Smith apples. I love the tart sweet combo on the salad. Service is always warm friendly, helpful, great owners and love the music! A must try in Napa!
Very cool date night place. Our server was missing in action most of the night but the food was good and the atmosphere as well. I need steak sauce for steak and alot less vinegar in the greens. But everything was tasty overall. We enjoyed it.
I definitely recommend! The customer service was amazing! So friendly and thoughtful throughout the entire time. The drinks and food were enjoyable especially the Mac and cheese which my partner loved! Plus, dog friendly!
We were supposed to go grocery shopping at Whole Foods but we wanted some lunch first. Finally some good fried chicken. Perfectly cooked very moist crunchy and seasoned to perfection. Mashed potatoes were so creamy and the greens were not overcooked like most places. Service was great. Very friendly. Never made it to the grocery store.
Great food and service. We sat on the patio and had a wonderful time. The extra bonus was the AMAZING Playlist curated by the owner. This spot is a vibe!
I’ve lived around the corner from this place for years and had never tried it until yesterday! It was one of the best experiences I’ve had in Napa in a very long time! The menu was incredibly diverse. For drinks we got a Cider and their craft cocktail called The Porch Swing, both of which were delicious! For food, we enjoyed the Asian Coleslaw, Collard Greens, Fried Pickles, Deviled Eggs, Baby Back Ribs, Spicy Beer Sausage, and the Blackened Fish Sandwich with Fries. We would have added pictures, but we ate everything so quickly! The staff allowed us to bring our dog, and brought a fresh water bowl out without us having to ask! Their team was friendly, efficient, and appeared happy to be there which is a welcomed change from some of the other spots we have visited recently. All in all, we will definitely be back— especially for that amazing cocktail!
Super BBQ spot! Location in downtown so street parking or garage are an option. Sat outside and enjoyed the weather under covered seating. Super hospitable, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Soulful old school R&B music really gives you that “family bbq/reunion” feel. The frozen margaritas were balanced (not too much ice or not enough alcohol). Highly recommend the bbq mix plate if you want to have some of everything from their awesome meat menu. Great for family, date, hangout nights. They even make their own bbq sauces that are a must try from sweet and tangy with a little spice to a lot of spice. The baked Mac and cheese is made al dente with crunchy and cheesy. Collard greens are also a must with their house vinegar. Also clean bathroom with historic photos.
Q is one of my favorite restaurants in Napa. They have the best chicken and a great wine menu. I always come for happy hour waiting for my kid to get off from dance class.
An atmosphere of family & friends, as you enter, Sydni & Dani welcome you home and make you feel like family. The food on the other hand melts in you smiling brisket filled mouth, the fried chicken will make the colonel envious. The pho? Phogetaboutit! Come, unplug, tap your toes to the music and ingest the vibe... and smile.
Hubby and I had date night here last night. The weather was so perfect we sat outside. Our waiter, Noah, was polite and personable, didn't make us feel rushed, but also didn't abandon us. I can't say enough great things about him. We got potato wedges to start. The crunch and flavor was delicious and the aioli added to it very well. We ordered two drinks, The Porch Swing (bourbon base) and Savage Garden (gin base). I recommend both on a warm spring day. I had the pulled pork sandwich for dinner. It was delicious. Thinking I'll get a grilled cheese with pulled pork next time. Hubby has gone vegetarian - he had coleslaw and cauliflower with broccoli. He loved the cauliflower. We were too stuffed for dessert - we'll get that next time!
For the 1st Time ever since I’ve been eating my way through I don’t have any complaints!! EVERYTHING WAS AWESOME, WELL SEASONED, FRESH & THE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THE FRONT DOOR TO THE BACK OF THE HOUSE WAS WONDERFUL! The Chef even came out & he was so humbled!! PLEASE GO VISIT HERE!!!
Danielle made our Thursday night yummy Vinegar Chicken experience 5 Star! What a nice person and asset to your restaurant she is!
This place is a class act. The staff are fast and friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant felt very modern chic with a black and white theme. I loved the photo of Betty Davis in the ladies restroom, it adds a nice touch. We got our drinks and food pretty quickly and the food was completely and deliciously perfect! The portions are huge and everything we ordered was cooked with love... you can tell because it was so perfect! Everything is on point with The Q!!!
EXCEPTIONAL From service to quality of food. WOW. I’m blown away. Everything is made in house. PLEASE try the spicy chicken wings which comes with a house made bleu cheese from the tomales bay. Please have it with the Bon Ton Napa Valley Rose which was only $10 for exceptional quality. Creamy, spicy and fruity. Kelly was extremely personable and gave me great recommendations for the few days I have in Napa. All sorts of vibes from casual to fine dining. She was incredible knowledgeable in terms of wine, local happenings as well as food, of course. Even back of house staff, when seen were all perfect. Great posture, composure and stance. Great/ diverse music and atmosphere. Not the typical. This is a must try and will exceed your expectations (it did mine). I recommend sitting outside for fresh air and good music. TLDR: FLAVORFUL, PERSONABLE, PROFESSIONAL. 10000/10
The food was Awesome!! I ordered the half rack baby back ribs with amazing Coleslaw. The smoked brisket sandwich that came with fries!! Both were awesome!!
My wife and I had a fantastic experience here. The space is beautiful, and the food was top-notch. I had the brisket — tender, smoky, and perfectly cooked. My wife had the smoked chicken sandwich, which was packed with flavor, and the mac and cheese was excellent. As a restaurant owner and chef, I know good food — and this was the perfect combination of quality, technique, and soul. Our server, Eric, was friendly and attentive, and the owner/manager on duty was incredibly pleasant — they genuinely listened to feedback we shared on the coleslaw and appreciated the input. That kind of hospitality makes a lasting impression. We’ll definitely be back.
My family and I are visiting for a family reunion. We actually was trying to go to another restaurant across the street but they were closing. So we crossed the street and tried Q Restaurant & Bar. We were really pleased and happy that we ended up there. The service was great and the food also. I had the fried chicken dinner. The chicken was seasoned just right and the mashed potatoes and gravy was decent. It also came with a side of greens. They were good but I would have wanted them to be a little more tender. My husband had the same but with a side of mac and cheese which was amazing. I definitely forgot to take pictures. The best part was the music that was played. We sang the entire time. Just a great time spent with family.
Had a great lunch at The Q Restaurant. The staff (the owner came to our table abd made conversation and was very nice) was so friendly and the food D-liscious! (The collard greens were heavenly)👌I had the Sunday Supper special, which included: appetizer, main course (fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and collard greens), and desert. The Cranberry, ginger beer and rosemary mocktail was on point. This may be my new weekend escape.
I kicked off my birthday weekend at Q R&B. The ambiance is nice. It's a good place for date night, a low-key dinner, or catching up with friends. I don't think I would call it kid friendly. In fact, I dont recall seeing any kids. I ordered the guava margarita on the rocks with Don Julio Repasado. It was my first drink in a month or so, and it was good! Appetizers were spinach and artichoke dip, garlic artichokes, wings, and deviled eggs. All tasty 😋 For dinner, I ordered brisket, pulled pork, ribs, coleslaw, and macaroni & cheese. The coleslaw was eeehhh, but the asparagus was 🔥 I could have eaten two plates of that. Our waiter was attentive. ..and made sure to bring me a birthday dessert 😉 I highly recommend, especially for a date night. It was 7 of us and our bill was $850.00 😂🤣
Visited Napa from Charleston, SC and The Q felt just like home. The manager Matthew is so hospitable and has the most amazing personality. He warmly welcomed my party of 6, making each of us feel so comfortable. Matthew and our server checked on us often, were extremely accommodating and gave great recommendations on menu items. We ordered several items and were satisfied with everything! The deviled eggs were fantastic and being from down South, the fried chicken, collard greens, mac and cheese and cornbread passed the test with flying colors! Had the pleasure of meeting the chef who was so kind and appreciative. No matter how full you may seem, you can't skip out on dessert! It is well worth every single calorie. Ecstatic that I found this gem and cant wait to return again!
You will not be disappointed!! When we walked in we felt greeted and we were treated like royalty. The music was lively, the aura of the place was warm and open, modern, inviting. The staff was awesome! When you get there talk to the manager Mathew! He’ll make your day! Savannah was sweet and very hospitable. Cheers for the chef!!! Whoever that person was deserves an award. The baby back ribs and brisket was tender and fell off the bone. Mac n cheese, piping hot and flavorful. Mashed potatoes, grilled Brussel sprouts, coleslaw, garlic fries! Nice size portions, they are NOT skimpy on the food and it’s all worth the price. Went here for my birthday and I’m glad I chose this place!
The food was fantastic. We order BBQ. The ribs were yummy. Fish and chips were delicious. I like the brisket but my hubby not so much. It's nice that they have vegetarian options at BBQ restaurant. They even have Vietnamese noodle soup (pho). I was very intrigued but I didn't order since I prefer my pho to be more authentic than fusion. The location is very nice. They even out outside seating in the back. It's very well decorated. We had a baby in our party but no issue at all. The staff were very friendly and service was great. All in all, we had a great time there. Highly recommend.
Had rsvp for late lunch on a Sunday but they weren’t busy at all so it would have been fine to just walk in. Our server was nice and friendly. We ordered the fried chicken dinner which included mashed potatoes and gravy and a bowl of collard greens. Probably one of the best fried chicken plates I’ve had. The chicken was moist with good flavor and super crispy skin. The mashed potatoes and gravy were very tasty and those may have been thee best greens from a restaurant that I’ve had. Super tasty with a tiny bit sweet + tiny bit tangy + tiny bit smokey from the meat. We also ordered the half-rack of ribs which were delicious and tender. Opted to substitute the slaw (there were a few varieties to choose from) for French Fries. The restaurant had a nice vibe and they had a couple screens around the bar so we were able to watch the Niners game. Definitely will return and recommend The Q!
New location on 1313 Main Street (from Bel Air plaza in North Napa, closed now) . Still great food, ambiance, wine, cocktails. Indoor table and bar seating, outdoor seating in the back patio. Large slider opens the front of the restaurant on nice days, feels semi outdoors. Accessible restrooms, entrance no steps, no steps to back patio, mostly concrete. Fried chicken was great, nice light cornmeal crust. Greens had excellent texture (little sweet for me, I prefer more savory but big pieces of brisket for flavor made up for it!) All good, well flavored. Excited to go back:)
Great service and Food! We truly appreciate the young man that walked us to our seats. The young lady that suggested cherry lemon drop ..The meal was great

Phenomenal Fried Chicken and the tenderest ribs I’ve ever had. Also LoVE the skirt steak with chimichurri sauce. Great wine selection and amazing cocktails that change with the season. The Q R&B never disappoints.

Went in for a planned business dinner and we first arrived and had drinks which were very prompt. Then we were seated in the back and the service continued to be impeccable. The servers and hostess really went above and beyond to see that our party was happy. The food was great and I would like to come in again on my personal time. See you soon!
Our group came here after enjoying a good wine tasting. Service was excellent and prompt. Our group decided to have a family style type of lunch. We ordered a bucket of fried chicken, fried pickles, Brussel sprouts, corn bread, mashed potatoes and gravy! It was so yummy. The chicken was especially good with their vinegar chili pepper! It really brought out the flavors. Can’t wait to go back and try other items on the menu!

It was good! Simple BBQ menu, seasoned well and delicious. Try the chicken noodle soup. I was not disappointed! Atmosphere is appropriate for BBQ and the staff is helpful and friendly. Parking is easy in the Whole foods lot.
We went to lunch on a Monday and the restaurant was mostly empty save a few tables and a party of 10 or so. We waited 40 minutes for our food. The food was wonderful, the service fantastic, but just had a long wait and we had some hungry tantrums to manage.
The food is always delicious and fresh. Very good food. Edit. I love this restaurant but the volume of music is so loud that it makes it almost impossible to have a conversation. Maybe it’s just me. :( Edit; the last two times I have been in the music has thankfully not been as loud.
There for happy hour...food was as rated. Bartender was pleasant. Margaritas although flavor was good the volume of liquid in the smallish cocktail glass was skimpy!!
Went here on whim for my birthday. It was very good, wait staff was excellent, bar keeper made a very good drink, & if you go at happy hour cocktails are half. We got the Q, for two more than we could finish. If we get to go back to Napa we'll be at the Q enjoy
I've been wanting to go to the Q restaurant since 2020, but Covid happened. So, I was in Napa on yesterday and decided to give it a try. I had a three plate combo - BBQ babyback ribs, pulled pork and brisket. Ribs were to peppery, brisket and pulled pork tender, but very greasy. Macaroni & cheese had good flavor, but very dry. Not sure I would try again. I wanted to really try the fried chicken, but they had no small servings of chicken only, other than 4-piece dinner with sides. I like the ambience and awesome service.
Awesome space. Knowledgeable Ops Mgr with amazing suggestions (Vicky loved the wine recommendation) and awesome vibe. Food was cold. I ordered the fish and chips (both cold) no replacement. Vicky ordered the chicken sandwich. Sandwich hot, fries cold, she had to request replacement fries. Laura ordered fish and chips. Fish hot, fries cold, she ordered a replacement. Hot food would've made this a 5 ⭐ experience.
I ordered on-line then picked up a delicious dinner & drink during this time of supporting Napa restaurants. The pulled pork sandwich was large and tasty, and it came with a refreshing green salad. The Asian Fried Chicken Salad was also large, and serves with a delicious dressing. Then Washed it all down with the yummy Porch Swing cocktail. Very easy, and the staff was so friendly when I picked up the order (and appreciative) that I want to do this again.
I love the happy hours here! Great Asian style ribs that are somehow not on the dinner menu, and reasonably priced drinks at the bar and tables, too! Regular menu is good, solid, but not as standout as the bar scene 4 to 6.
Excellent food. Great waiters. Good ambiance. Large group on a Saturday night. It was busy and our food was a bit long in coming. We expected it would be that way. We're definitely looking forward to going again.
Great food. Steaks are amazing. Fries are off the charts, and the garlic fries are even better. I've been here a couple of times. I took one star off because I ordered a burger medium-rare and it came out medium-well. That's a big deal to me, but probably not an issue for most people. The atmosphere is upscale bar/pub. Nice outdoor seating. There is a waiter there who looks like Vin Diesel. Tell him I said hi.
My husband and I went here for lunch and it was pretty quiet. We didn't know any better and probably should have came here for dinner instead. The food was VERY filling! For appetizer we had fried pickles and they were the best fried pickles I've had. Sliced perfectly and not too thick. We also got mocktails to drink. Whatever the pink drink (pictured) is was so good! I had the brisket sandwich and he had the fried chicken dinner. Man I wish I would've gotten the fried chicken. It was seasoned so well and those mashed potatoes were so yummy. We substituted the collards for cornbread since we don't eat pork. We thought our waiter was going to bring out a corn bread muffin but instead bought out a mini cast iron of delicious corn bread topped with honey butter. I knocked off a star for my sandwich and mac and cheese it was just okay. Brisket was fatty and not really pulled or tender enough. Mac & cheese wasn't the typical grandma's baked mac & cheese. Overall food was pretty good and our waiter can't remember his name, but he was really nice as well as the lady who was in there as well. Very attentive and very nice people!

I grew up eating Kansas City barbeque, specifically beef brisket. Maybe I just have high standards for brisket but I found the brisket to be pretty fatty & more roast beef like instead of drier like brisket. The brussel sprouts, while they were great quality & fresh tasting, they were unfortunately over salted. The cheeseburger, french fries & deviled eggs were great. The crab bisque was good according to my husband. I feel their prices are a bit high for what we ate & our overall satisfaction of our food. I hope other people are satisfied when they eat here, but we were not. I don't think we will be returning.
Slow. Sat at the bar a good 10-15 minutes before being even acknowledged. Received water, but waited another 10 minutes to get a drink order in. While waiting, a couple came in and was waited on immediately. We did order food and it was good and came out pretty fast. I would have left after being ignored, but my companion wanted to stay.
Very good fried chicken. The ribs are baby back ribs that are flavored well. Sadly.the mashed potatoes were over salted. Perhaps the chef accidently put too much salt for that particular batch. I will go bacl for the fried chicken alone
Tried a 3 meat combo. The brisket was great, the baby back ribs were just ok but my bbq chicken was dry, didn't really care for the dry rub on it, might come back to try the fried chicken. They didn't have any seats available we had to sit at the bar, due to already reserved parties that wasn't there yet.
Fried chicken salad needed more stuff in the salad Wings were ok C+ beer selection Room decors was sparse Too expensive
DID NOT SMELL LIKE BBQ. I ordered the rubs and brisket. Both were super thick and D R Y. Fries were initially brought out cold, then 3nd batch was overcooked. Service was decent, the servers were nice and responsive, and the atmosphere was decent. Oh, the wings (appetizer) were seasoned well, but pretty tough. All the meat was definitely overcooked. My partner says the fish was excellent. That's great, BUT this place is advertised as a BBQ spot...Oh yea, I have a gluten and dairy allergy and had NO reaction...so they get an A for that
The food was decent. The issue is the BBQ is not in any way, shape or form spicy. Their “spicy” sauce is not at all spicy. Drinks were on the low pour side but well crafted. Great outside with sunshade seating though.
Ordered the grilled Angus beef. Cheeseburger and a side of the deep fried dill pickles. A little disappointed with both. The deep fried dill pickles although tasty were very oily. They were so oily they were shiny. They also had a slight fishy flavor. Could be because they were cooked in canola oil or they were cooked in the same oil that was used to cook fish. Not sure. The cheeseburger was the bigger disappointment. The bun was over toasted on the verge of being burnt. I ordered the burger cooked to medium. Unfortunately the burger arrived cooked past well done. It was very dry. Not juicy at all. No drip on the plate juicy. And no drip down your arms juicy. It was just dry. It tasted okay, but it would have been better if it was a little juicier. I really would have liked it if It was cooked to medium.

As a small business owner, I would like to offer a bit of constructive criticism. The girl that greeted us at the door was kind but was a bit quiet and didn't come off overly friendly, which is necessary as a greeter. Our waitress (guessing maybe the owner) was super nice and informative. The only reason for the three star review is that my brisket sandwich was all fat. I would suggest in the future making sure that the fat is trimmed and customers are actually getting meat on their sandwich instead of all fat. The fries they came with the sandwich were nice and crispy but a little overwhelming as a side. My wife did enjoy her pulled chicken but also thought there were a few too many fries. Hope this helps.

Only thing impressive is the Corn bread, it’s was cooked to order so of course that was awesome. But everything else was so so. Am we had the sampler q for 2 with all the meats and everything was on the dry side… so I’m curious since we ate around 3pm if we got the left overs that had been kept warm since lunch…
Rude server, poor quality food. Our server was, in a word, unpleasant. At one point she clumsily knocked over a half-full glass of wine and simply laughed. She did not apologize in any way and the drink was not replaced. Some food we ordered was missing and an item we did not order was added. The BBQ meats were dry and lacked flavor. There was no sauce on any of the meats and the provided sauces were not adequate. The ribs and brisket were both overcooked, the pulled pork was also boring, but the chicken was fine and actually moist. I would not return and would advise visitors to Napa to dine at one of the many better options.
Came in for dinner. I am not sure if it was because I was seated by myself but I got very little attention. Took a long time to get my order taken, long time to get the food and a long time to get the check. Had the fried chicken. The chicken is quality itself but the seasoning was pretty meh. Not seasoned all that well and it wouldn't make my top 30 fried chicken dinners I've had in my life. Just not much seasoning there. Mashed potatoes and collard greens were good. Just an ok experience. Most others there seemed happy so maybe it was just off for me.
I know California isn't made for BBQ, but we got a chicken sandwich, a pulled pork sandwich, and a wedge salad. The pulled pork $18 came with a side salad that was literal 4 pieces of Boston lettuce with 3 apple slices.... the pork tasted a day or two old with no flavor. The chicken sandwich was $18, and it was also flavorless , but the fries were good if you like mcdonalds fries. Wedge salad was 17 bucks ***seventeeeeen***. With bacon, and radishes and buttermilk dressing. Yes, it is what the menu stated. The wedges were 3"x3" and I only got four of them. For 1.99 for a head of lettuce plus $7for bacon I could have gotten the same thing. So sad and lack luster and I'm a huge fan of wedge salads. But hey, their buttermilk dressing was really good. Their BBQ sauces are sppppiicy! But all tasted the same. If you want a sweeter BBQ or not a fan of spice, then I don't recommend them. Ambiance was sad and dreary, especially for a BBQ joint. We got a bourbon peach drink, and it was very sweet. It was like we ordered apple juice, 16 bucks for apple juice... I love BBQ and was very, very disappointed. My total bill was 102 bucks, and the only thing worth it was the buttermilk dressing, fries, and the beer.
Have eaten here in the past and it's been great but the most recent visit was a let down. Shrimp cocktail the shrimp were grilled or charred or burnt into a rubbery oblivion . Deviled eggs were perfect Brisket / sausage combo was just ok. Brisket was not done well, the fat was no where near rendered enough so it was chewy and soggy feeling. Needed a knife to cut a piece off, portion was decent and the sausage was tasty but the real star on the plate was the pepper vinegar slaw . Cobb salad had a healthy portion with fresh ingredients. We ordered a side of collard greens and corn bread but neither came, but atleast we didn't have to ask for them to be taken off the bill. Cheaper and better bbq can be found in town.
I just placed an order for pick up. Asked for a salad tossed and to go. I got back to my job and salad was not tossed like I asked, so i was left with a salad with no salad dressing. Also the salad is 23 dollars! This was extremely frustrating cause I only had 10 min to eat my lunch. I called back and spoke with the manager Matthew. I told I’m I was upset and this was frustrating being that I not only asked for it to be tossed but was given no dressing. I work 2 doors down and asked if he could bring me the dressing for the inconvenience he said “absolutely not and hung up the phone on me!” This place is very new to the area. I will never be giving this place another chance. Plenty of other restaurants who are friendly and have there staff under control.
First off the service was very good. That's about it. Now let's get to the food. This was by far the worst BBQ restaurant I have ever been to. If you read my other reviews, you will see that I am very critical of BBQ, being that I grew up with it and worked in a BBQ joint in Tennessee. What we ate here is not BBQ it is a tragedy. We ordered ribs, chicken and pulled pork. Every meat we ate was like eating cardboard. Most of our BBQ was left uneaten, a dry pile of meat. It was not taken home. The fried chicken was okay, but KFC or Popeyes is better. The dark meat pieces were okay but the breast was a Heimlich maneuver just waiting to happen. Fried cardboard as dry as my humor. The only thing worth eating was the cornbread. It was really good. We took this home. So, for $100, we ate cornbread for dinner. There must be a reason the BBQ was so bad. Maybe they lost their pit boss.
Their grill was down, but they didn't let us know until we had already been seated. Most of the items on the menu were unavailable, and the owner was quite rude to us about it. The food I did order was not good.
If I could give it no stars I would. It was my first time trying them out so I had high expectations but the fried pickles were a JOKE - worst batter I have ever tasted. The Brisket was horrendous. You get better meat at Arby’s. Half of it was dry and the other half was tender (which was the only good thing going for them). There was more fat than meat - just globs and globs of fat that is making me was to puke remembering it. It was also SUPER oily. More oil was on the meat than in a fryer at McDonalds. Worst place I’ve had in Napa - do not go here when you can go to heritage eats two businesses down. They always have good food at Heritage.
Came in to have a drink at the bar. Staff was rude and dismissive. I called to tell manager about my experience and she was dismissive as wel. No wonder there was nobody in there.
This place just wasn’t for me, which is fine, but when you factor in all the negatives as well as the high prices, it’s a disaster. 1. I get bad vibes when I walk into a “nice” restaurant and they bring me a 12 oz can when I order a soda. (A 12oz can that costs $4 btw) 2. I asked the waiter if refills were free and his reply was “I think so” ??? 3. The deep fried pickles tasted like they spent a solid 2hrs under a heat lamp. 4. They only have “homemade” bbq sauces. All of which i did not care for at all. They tasted more like tomato sauce. Zero sweetness and flavor aside from tomato flavor. 5. Someone explain to me why a $16 sandwich comes with a huge side of fries but a $39 meat platter comes with nothing but a 2oz bowl of cole slaw??? Some might love the food here, I didn’t, and the prices are way too high for what you get.
Half rack of barbecue ribs We're overcooked. The coleslaw was not chopped up thinly - the plates are too small for the food. The staff are kind and friendly, but the food is not good
I have gone to this place 3 times. Each time I have had the worst food ever!! 1st time, I had the Fried Chicken sandwich. It was horribly dry. 2nd time I thought, ok 2nd time should be better. Nope. I had the Fish & Chips. The Fish was so grease and fries were soggy. This 3rd and last time, I thought 3rd time is a charm. By far from Charming. I decided to just go with fries....garlic fries. How bad can you screw up fries. Well.....PRETTY FREAKIN BAD!!! The fries came hot. Lots of garlic. Most of the fries were so small had a hard time picking them up. It was like I got the bottom of the bag. Then as I got closer to half done I noticed they started tasting very greasy. Bite after bite I was getting more grease in my mouth. I decided to pour the rest of them on my plate that I had ketchup on. As I poured I noticed grease/oil pouring from the stainless steel cup they were in. As I looked inside, there was about a 1/4" of grease/oil at the bottom. It was so disgusting. In the pic I had already pour some out on top of the fries on the plate and there was still more in the cup. I could no longer eat these. It turned my stomach. McDonald's fries are much better than these. Is this how you serve you food??? I couldn't believe my eyes. My friends even turned their heads when I showed them. I told the guy that's was clearing the table and his words were...."I'll let them know." I was too disgusted to even bother pursuing the problem since this was my 3rd and last time trying at this place. I WILL NEVER PROMOTE OR RECCOMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE! I don't know how a restaurant can serve such bad food and still be open for business. I guess since it's also a bar that if you drink enough the food starts to taste good. I don't drink so I wouldn't know. They also let dogs in. They were in the patio but they have to walk through the restaurant where people are eating. I don't want dog hair floating around where I am eating. I love dogs and have 2 but they do not belong walking through where people are eating. So BEWARE! I refuse to give my money to a business that doesn't care about what happens.

Food tested horrible didn’t even bother the minimum spices to the food. Anything that we order medium well came in well done and a little bit burned. The only good thing about this place was the service from the two guys that we had other than The food was bad. Also, they told us That the restaurant is fully booked while it was empty, which I didn’t understand so they sat us outside with the stuff they were kind and brought us heaters. The charged us with 9 people service while 2 of the 9 were between the age of 1 and 3.
