Had been here for the first time. We tried butter chicken empanadas, buffalo chicken samosas, chicken korma and goat pepper fry. The food was delicious. Loved the creamy empanadas with a side of makhani sauce and not mint sauce. Buffalo chicken were okayish, needed more flavor and crisp. Korma was creamy with tender chicken, little high on salt. Goat pepper fry was spicy and meaty, very flavorful. The only downside is that they are only takeout so if you’re traveling from far away like us you need to uncomfortably eat that in your car.

I order from Shirley's every time I'm in the New Rochelle area, it NEVER fails to deliver an excellent dinner. The butter chicken empanadas and lamb korma are both my go to dishes and they are both fantastic.

Interesting walk up Indian take out stop. You can place an order via online or call ahead and you pick up from a walk up window. The butter chicken Empanadas were so delicious,especially with the extra dipping sauces. I will be back to try some other items from the menu when I'm in the area.

Cannot recommend highly enough! 100/10. Some of the best takeout I’ve ever had. The butter chicken empanadas are a must - chicken tikka wraps were incredible too. “No Mint” sauce was a great companion to their delicious variety of bread, as well. Vindaloo was full of flavor and still had excellent spice/heat. Kind staff and very easy ordering over the phone. Go, go, go!

If you ever want to switch up your traditional Indian food order, Shirley’s is the go to! While they do have the classics and Kerala specialties, they shine in their fusion and twists on Indian food. The butter chicken empanadas and Nutella samosas are always on my list when I go here. The wraps, in my opinion, are the best they have to offer on the menu especially with a side of their tikka sauce. The street boxes are pretty good too.

Placed the order online, it was ready when we arrived. We ordered the samosas, butter chicken empanadas, streetcar chili chicken fries and the street-cart chicken tiki. Food was good def stop for takeout and check it out. Overall cost about $60.00

first time here. chicken masala is good, very flavorful. The garlic naan is not what I am used to. What I have always seen is bread but fluffier and has those air bubbles. This is completely flat, almost like a thicker pita bread. Still good tho The meat samosas really had no flavor, abd the chutney dip also was lacking Btw, it's take out only and there is no legal parking in front. Though everyone just stops and parks

We tried this place for first time. We loved the empanadas so much.. Masala box was also a good handy option. Totally recommend these guys. Atleast for empanadas. Weren’t a fan of chilly chicken. Too much sauce n ketchup in there. We will be back to try more from here.

I normally have a great experience with this restaurant! The only issue this time is when I received my takeout bag for my 3 wrap Monday special, I noticed that my bag had a strong smell of plastic fumes. This order did have a paper bag, but the black food tray in the bag was very hot, and after opening the bag in my car the plastic smell got much stronger. I love the food and the quality here... But if I get more food smelling like plastic then I will likely just not eat any more good Indian food in the area.

Their consistency has gone downhill. I used to order from here quite a lot and would always get the butter chicken and naan. The last couple times I’ve ordered, the sauce is so oily and greasy, is not thick like usual and tastes different. I gave them the benefit of an “off day”, but this now the 3rd time it’s happened. Guess the hunt for good, consistent Indian food continues…

We ordered a bunch of things for a lazy Saturday brunch. Shirley’s India got incredibly popular after a few social media posts went viral and is super popular among New York food reviewers. This place is takeout only and the folks at the counter are super considerate and kept giving all of us waiting updates about our order. The beef fry was a little too dry, the chicken 65 was good but nothing to sing too many praises about. The butter chicken empanadas were truly unique and was the highlight. The Nutella samosa was well sweet. Overall, the food was okay and is definitely worth trying for the hype it created among food influencers.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience ordering from Shirley’s India. My husband got food poisoning after eating the meal, and his stomach has still been hurting three days later. What shocked me even more was that I found a piece of paper inside my chicken tikka masala. It was literally mixed into the sauce and rice — not on the side, not from the packaging, but inside the food itself. This is unacceptable and very concerning for hygiene and food safety. We trusted this restaurant and ended up feeling sick and worried. I would not recommend ordering from here.

Absolutely disgusting food, we found paper in our food a whole wrapper in my food. The service was awful. I ordered through Uber Eats and I picked up myself, they made me wait 15 mins on top of the 25 minutes.
