This new coffee shop deserves its five-star reviews. Clean and new inside, the espresso drinks are reliable, the people are friendly and the seating, indoor and on the sidewalk, is far better than average for a NYC coffee shop.

Stopped by for a flat white and matcha latte. Friendly service and great drinks. A lot of coffee shops don’t use enough matcha powder - Ground Central does it right! Happy to have another quality coffee spot in the area - hope they do well!

This Ground Central is the size of a bread box. Live or work in NoMad and loyal to the GC brand? They've got you. Rockin' staff! I used to be a regular at the GC on Pearl Street (now closed), and the staff put up with me with flying colors. But here? Props to Esteban, Eris, and Adam (and his fly porg t-shirt) for their continued attention. Wish they had to-stay cups (only paper), but it's hardly a surprise since there's limited seating. Stop in for an espresso, or get something bigger and head to Madison Square Park around the corner.

Cappuccino was just OK. Too hot and not enough depth in the flavor. Lemon poppyseed muffin was dry and a little bland. Not terrible, but would definitely skip it. They only have to-go cups.

So disappointed. I specifically asked if the cold brew was from concentrate and the barista said it was freshly made but concentrated. Turns out it was from concentrate and just terrible (tastes like gasoline). Why do so many coffee shops cut corners on cold brew and then lie about it? Very disappointing. Also the lighting is way too dark IMO.

i never write reviews for coffee shops bc it should be pretty standard to expect decent service that is respectful, fast, and the order tastes good. easy stuff. but this barista was strange and comes off as a bully. she forgot my order and made like 3 orders before mine, making me late to where i needed to be. then when i asked her where my order was, she was rude about it instead of just admitting she forgot to do it or got it wrong and needed to fix it. i happened to be the only black/brown girl in there so that didn't go left unnoticed. strange micro-aggressive staff in there. go somewhere else if you want a chill, normal coffee experience ahead of your busy morning.
