Ground Central is a popular spot for its excellent coffee, especially the lattes and cortados. Customers rave about the atmosphere, friendly staff, and unique artistic decor. The banana bread is also a hit, though the matcha may need improvement. Some find the space small.

Loved the latte — smooth and perfectly balanced! The vibes here are cozy and relaxed, perfect spot to unwind or get some work done.
Love this little coffeeshop. The service was great and the espresso was very delicious. Had an iced Americano and the flavor was great. The barista/cashier was also so warm and friendly. I did not have a pastry but they looked amazing; there were vegan and gf options. I will definitely come back for another iced Americano and to have a treat.
Walked in on a whim and am stuck on this coffee shop. I don’t even live in NYC and now I only want my lattes from here now 😂. First day I got an iced dirty chai, the second day I got an oatmilk iced vanilla latte and both were amazing! My mom ordered a cappuccino and said it was the best she’s had and it was so cute! I visit NYC often and this is my go-to now! We also spoke to a male barista that was super helpful and friendly they made our experience even better.
Great interior and ambiance. My iced oat latte was excellent — appreciate that the coffee isn’t too acidic like some places can be. And barista was very kind and made my day!
Awesome coffee, I had the Cortado and it was fantastic!! I appreciated the atmosphere, music and great service. Definitely recommended. This is my new spot when I visit NYC.
Ordered a cortado which was strong and delicious and a croissant that was buttery and flaky. They gave out a free sample of their Nutella banana bread that was incredible! Service was great too, very friendly. Will definitely come back.
I went to Grand Central Coffee Company every single day during my stay in New York that’s how good it was! ☕️✨
It’s a tiny cafe with goooood music, nice staff and amazing coffee!
Cute coffee shop inside a nice hotel. Good ambiance with a mini book store. Most importantly, a good cappuccino!
Good filter coffee, though their wifi doesn't work. What makes this great is that you can sit in the nice lobby next door with your coffee.
There are so many coffee shops in the area and none of them hold a candle to Ground Central. They have the most consistently good cappuccinos and the friendliest baristas in midtown. If you want high-quality, quick, delicious coffee, then you found your spot.

Awesome spot and cute patio. The espresso is perfect and the staff is really friendly. After talking with them we found out that all of the art on the wall was hand drawn, it’s super impressive.
Great coffee and the banana bread was incredible. The matcha could use some attention though. Great vibe. Lovely staff.
Amazing Coffee bar. Great coffee taste and the interior is fascinating. Super friendly personnel!
My favorite coffee shop of all in the neighborhood; I’ve been a regular since it first opened. I’m usually there in mid-afternoon and occasionally early in the morning. The shop is always neat and clean and I love having the outside terrace for sipping my espresso in good weather. Best of all? The staff and the new manager who always greet with genuine smiles and provide excellent service.
Two days later and I'm nowhere near this place, wishing I could have another delicious latte right now. Smoothest latte ever, perfect for a cold night. Friendly service, lovely books on display from the HueMan bookstore. Will visit this and other locations in the future!

Immaculate vibe. Music was nice, not too loud. Ordered a latte that was silky and delicious.

My friend recommended this little spot when I came to visit a while ago and now we go back every time for the cappuccinos. The whole vibe with the music is amazing. For anyone else not living in NY, put this at the top of your list!
Great coffee, fast service, and the staff are always friendly. It’s become my go-to spot in the area. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re nearby

Solid coffee in a nice and cozy place. We got a Drip Coffee and an Espresso and they were all good. As a coffee snob, I have to admit that I like my espresso in a ceramic mug and unfortunately, they didn’t have one. The server kinda made me feel dumb even for asking. This ruined my experience a little bit but I liked the coffee and atmosphere overall. Also, not a lot of seats available.
Place is tiny. Not sure why ppl are telling you can work there. 3 tables inside & outside. Espresso is fine. Nothing special. I think the most interesting thing about it is artistic walls & espresso machine was clearly pencil designed.

The coffee is good, but very depends on barista. Some of them are doing great, some are not really understand what they are doing. BE CAREFUL, TIPS ALREADY INCLUDED! I was giving all the time double tips, coz didn't know they are taking them without asking. Unfortunately, this is a NO for me...

i never write reviews for coffee shops bc it should be pretty standard to expect decent service that is respectful, fast, and the order tastes good. easy stuff. but this barista was strange and comes off as a bully. she forgot my order and made like 3 orders before mine, making me late to where i needed to be. then when i asked her where my order was, she was rude about it instead of just admitting she forgot to do it or got it wrong and needed to fix it. i happened to be the only black/brown girl in there so that didn't go left unnoticed. strange micro-aggressive staff in there. go somewhere else if you want a chill, normal coffee experience ahead of your busy morning.
