Excellent place. The buffalo wings were spectacular, the variety of beers was really good, and it’s also a great spot to watch live sports events. I’ll definitely be back.
20 Stars! Came here after a long week at my stupid job just to chill, work on my online business and relax. The metal music was on point, and Jason the bartender was super cool — he went above and beyond to customize my drink exactly how I wanted it. Free Wi-Fi, great vibes, killer music. I'm 100% coming back to work, relax, and vibe out. They have big screens playin sports in case you are a fan or Basketball, Bakeball, , sccer, any sports, etc. 20 tvs. Great wings also.
Great bar to watch a game and do trivia! Service is great and drinks are reasonable.
Great vibes. Servers got our hockey game on with no issue. Love the mystery beers
This is me and my boyfriends FAVORITE neighborhood sports bar! The bartenders and servers are all great! The food is great! Their wings are so good and they have a great beer selection. They have so many TVs and play all the games and fights. Big PPV fights are even purchased here to watch and almost all the UFC fights. This is me and my boyfriends GO-TO bar for baseball games, boxing and UFC fights, college and NFL football. It’s just all around great chill atmosphere, neighborhood bar vibe, great food and drink selection and beer! It’s a huge perk they have Guinness on tap.
Great local spot on the upper east side for food, great drinks and a great community! Definitely recommend checking out this spot if you are in the area.
Update 11/4/22: 4 stars to 5 stars!! Craving wings again one month later.. and they can do naked wings with sauce on the side!!! Last 2 pictures are from the recent order, wings and onion rings Original:9/25/22 Was in the mood for wings and mellers popped up via uber eats and i thought i give them a try The wings itself were really good but the buffalo sauce was slightly salty Idk if they do naked wings but i think naked wings with a buffalo dip wouldve been better for me. Chicken caesar wrap was good too!
Epic spot to play pool, good food and amazing staff! Love this spot. Most welcoming spot in the UES.
Great spot to grab drinks, bar food, and shoot some pool. The staff is great and friendly.
Great wings. Now they have a pool table and dart board. Over 30 tvs. All sports available. My favorite place to hang. Highly recommend!
Always a very welcoming environment; staff are hospitable, attentive and make you feel like you’re right at home- great vibes here! Watched my first knicks game here! Woohoo, thanks for that experience! Bonus stars for my pup, Bunny always being welcomed here too. The food is delicious, drinks are great, entertainment is offered (pool, darts, etc.) perfect for lunch, a night out, casual hang, or just to stop by and say hi to everyone! Also, great music 🤙 I’ve heard this place is also the go to spot for trivia lovers. Not my cup of tea, but my friends love it! Thank you team at Mellers!
TOP SPOT! Absolutely LOVED Mellers. We came to watched a Premier league game and had a fantastic time. The staff, the drinks, and the food are all fantastic! Highly recommended the calamari and the bloody Mary's 👌 thank you Mellers, you made our Sunday! We will be back!
Single handedly the best chicken tenders around. A great bar to catch any and all sports games with a fun and lively atmosphere. Owner is very kind and friendly. Staff is attentive and the drinks served are always cold. Can stop in anytime and it is a great hang!
Best pool table and darts. Best wings and burgers. My boys come here often to watch sports. Totally recommend. Amazing sports bar and music.
If you’re in search of a nice bar in the UES this is an amazing place! Food was delicious. Great vibe, fantastic service. Special shoutout to Rob for the great service!
Love this local place. good food and drinks. We come here to always catch a game. Had a blast here during the 2024 mets playoff run. If your a sports fan and want a place to hang out this it.
Neighborhood gem. There is something going on every night of the week- trivia, taco Tuesdays, 75 cent wings on Weds, and there’s always good music with a juke box and a pool table. Can’t go wrong. The staff make you feel like you’re at home and the vibes are always good. Anna and Rob aren’t too bad either, I applaud the way they run the place.
This bar never misses. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and on point. A fun and relaxed atmosphere for drinks and a quick meal. Definitely a go-to spot.
We went there for lunch and ordered beef soup noodles with spicy chicken. The noodle is very delicious and beef is so tender. The food is ready very quickly. The portion size is very large too. It is a in a huge bowl for one person. We had great experience overall. We will definitely go back.
Loved both the stewed beef noodle soup and chicken cabbage dumplings! I ordered extra spicy beef noodle soup and it was one of the spiciest things I’ve had (drinking water doesn’t help Lol). Still was very good. For most people, its recommended to do the stewed beef noodle soup thats less spicy to enjoy the soup as well! Dumplings also is a great combo with the noodle soup. Would come again!
Food is decent. The menu and dish are very similar, almost same to Xi’an chain. For me, soup base is a little sweeter than Xi’an but spicier. The meat burger is filled and flavorful. The pull noodle is dente and cook just right. Location is perfect for those, like me, has a shot break before the train . Service is very punctual.
Very cozy, incredibly delicious and unbelievably cheap for midtown! I ordered the crispy pork burger. I expected a snack (at 5$ in Korea Town) but received a generously filled patty that was, indeed, super crispy, fresh and overflowing with flavor. Great quality and value for money, will be back for sure!
So glad that I was too hungry to walk by. This place is great. Bright, clean, comfortable cafe style eatery. There are 7 tables (4 for 2 people, 3 seat 4 people). I had the stewed beef noodle soup with hand ripped noodles. The beef was tender and the broth was flavorful (mildly spicy, very cuminy, with cilantro on top). The spicy mixed vegetables were tasty too (mildly spicy, and garlicky). These 2 items came to $22.75, which I think is fair for the location and portion sizes. Employees were all smiling and pleasant. It was raining outside, so I appreciate that they weren't rushing us out (there were enough tables for everyone inside while I was there, no standers)
Most Chinese restaurants in this neighborhood are terrible, I think I finally found a good one. If you love Xi’an cuisine this is a must try. I’ve been here twice already and I’m going back for more! Things I’ve tried so far are Stewed Beef Noodle Soup, Veggie Soup Noodle and Spicy Chicken (cold dish). When ordering noodles make sure you pick the noodle type; Hand Ripped Noodles is their specialty but I’m not a fan. The best part about this place is that their ingredients are fresh and they don’t use much MSG. I know because I don’t get super thirsty unlike most Thai restaurants.
Ordered a couple cocktails - a little too sweet. The chili martini was okay (too sweet). Would definitely just stick to the canned drinks or draft beers next time. Lots of TVs - would come back to watch sports.
I have eaten my way across a good stretch of China, the real places, plastic stools, questionable plumbing, unforgettable meals. Xian always stuck with me. Big flavors. Garlic that announces itself. Chili heat that creeps up, taps you on the shoulder, then takes over the room. So when I say I went back to Bites of Xian a second time, that is not an accident. That is respect. First visit. Tomatoes and egg over thick noodles, plus the garlic cucumbers. Tomatoes and egg is one of those dishes that sounds like nothing and, when done right, tastes like home even if it is not your home. Here it came out hot, properly seasoned, the eggs soft, the tomatoes rich and savory, soaking into those satisfying, chewy noodles. Comfort food without the self pity. The cucumbers were crisp and fresh, nicely dressed, though I would not have minded a heavier garlic punch. I like my garlic to speak up, not whisper. Second round, different mood, freezing day, the kind that makes you question your life choices. Spicy beef with thin noodles. This is the bowl you want when the wind is trying to cut through your coat. Piping hot broth, tender cubes of beef, real depth of flavor, the kind that tells you someone in the kitchen actually cares. Not fancy. Not precious. Just honest, warming food that does exactly what it is supposed to do. Let us be clear. This is not white tablecloth dining. It is fast casual, order at the counter, grab a seat, get on with it. But that is part of the charm. Instead of another forgettable burger or greasy fried chicken, you get something with backbone, history, and flavor that actually means something. Four stars. I came back once. I will come back again. That is the only rating system that really counts.
The food is alright, but you'll never see these prices anywhere else. Like, not even six dollars for a 肉夹馍 (Crispy Burger)? Amazing! Was craving some cold noodles and also a 肉夹馍 (I got the pork), they taste pretty good. Also friendly staff, but this place may seem to give out more of a take out than dine-in vibe.
I wanted a quick bite to eat while shopping around the area . I saw the pic and reviews and immediately wanted to try the spicy beef soup. It DID NOT disappoint. I will definitely be returning and introducing it to some people. Update: definitely had to come again. I brought my partner, we tried the crispy burger both pork and beef. The pork was amazing! We ordered extras to go.
Good food, I enjoyed eating here. I didnt taste as much flavor compared to Xian Famous and the lamb burger was not as tender, but the noodles and burger were both enjoyable. Server was nice and the food came quickly. Very convenient location to grab some food before catching the amtrak out of penn station. Solid pick for food, will come back when im in the area and need something quick
I love spicy cumin lamb hand pull noodles. But this is not it unfortunately. The handpull noodle doesn't have the chewiness, the unique bite that handpull noodles give me. The serving size is adequate, the protein amount is ok and the level of spice is ok. There is just something missing with the flavor and the texture. It also doesn't have cilantro I was craving for xi'an famous foods' spicy cumin lamb noodles, I forced myself to try this just to change it up. It is ok, but Xi'an Famous is far superior. Big difference.
This is my first time trying this place. The location is super convenient, right next to K Town. I'd say the crispy burger is just as the name suggests - the chicken in hot sauce is delicious too. Overall, the food was tasty enough and the service was quick and impressive, but we still found ourselves a bit disconnected from the store as a whole - the problem is that it wasn't very welcoming or inclusive of the diversity of New York City's population, the food was reasonably priced but seemed to be... preprocessed and stored for sale. Therefore, it is a good choice for those who are in a hurry and want some solid food to fill their stomach quickly.
I came here for lunch. We ordered the spicy beef noodles. The beef was nice the home made noodles where too thick and for too much noodles to beef ration, however the soup was very peppery to The point it over powered the meal. The pork and cabbage dumplings were nice. The was quiet expensive for what it was
The owner has an attitude and a discriminatory behavior against me and my friend who were only trying to enjoy our weekend in nyc and play some pool. Says there is a drink minimum just to use to use the pool table and the table is horrible and unplayable.
They didn't pull noodles at this shop. Who knows when or the noodles are even hand pulled since they don't do it on premise. I had the tomato egg which is inferior version to the lanzhou HAND pulled noodles in China where they use lamb fat as an additional flavor along with onions. Everything else including the chicken and paltry size chili child potato and my taiwanese colleague noodles were very salty. Do they even taste there food? Chicken was aweful. $20 per person for lunch was a complete waste of money. I'm never going back and I implore you not to waste your money on this garage they make here.
Impolite and mean attitude to customers. Do not recommend! It was a weekend event in city and we took rest here. We ordered drinks and seated in the morning for an hour. Then the Chinese owner or manager started talking in Chinese about us far away behind the cashier, complaining that we seated so long and didn't order meals. It was not even lunch time with almost empty tables! There was a western woman with luggages, seated at the same time, ordered nothing. And we had lunch here yesterday when there were groups of other event participants only ordering drinks and seating for lunch hrs. The manager said nothing to them but to us, and he even tried to prevent us from using the restroom! What a typical, mean, and short-sighted Chinese business man, poor in English so he could only show his whispering complaint to Chinese customers like a coward far away in the kitchen. It's a fast food shop so there's no customer service at all. The food is authentic Chinese food but the taste is just less than okay, not mentioning they showed no respect to their main customers from China. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. We will let more friends know what this place is infamous for.
