The food was really really good did not want it to finish. I’m going back to the UK but I’ll not be forgetting the flavours and the quality. I gave the atmosphere 3* because one of the server was arguing with a customer which put me off but stayed as I was very hungry. Foot worth the price and enjoyed the drink with the ginger. I’ll definitely visit again when I’m back in NYC.

Really good. My first time getting Caribbean food outside of Brooklyn and they did a damn good job. Jerk chicken is spicy and tender and the rice is well cooked.

Everything hits at this restaurant only thing ilI recommend is the sides for soups and other things on uber eats. Fried dumpling, festival, patties etc. Only in the store i can get patties and fried dumpling or festival i would like to order it with my meal on uber eats as well. Spending on take out is more expensive now I would like to order how I want.

This is a popular restaurant in Harlem. The food is typical Caribbean style Jamaican food. You order your food at the counter where the food is displayed. There are tables for customers to sit and eat after they order. At the present time there is only take out due to the pandemic. There is usually music playing and there are to large flat screen televisions playing CNN news. They also sell drinks and desert. The ice machine is good!

They always have fresh good food anytime of the day they got real Caribbean girls serving you so you're gonna get attitude and a generous plate 😂😂😂

I come here often maybe 1x a month or every other month. Been coming here since 2020. I usually get the sweet Chilli salmon with rice and peas, and cabbage, or the jerk chicken. I used to get curry chicken. Salmon always good. Chicken is good but they don't always have the parts I want. Overall good spot with variety of good food.

Tuck in to a generous and very delicious portion of Jerk chicken with rice n' peas, and cabbage. I tried to get dumplings too but they had sold out - I guess they were tasty too! This was one of my favourite culinary experiences in New York City, and yet it came at a fair price. There is a pleasant sheltered seating area outside, but most of the clientele were getting take-out. Definitely worth visiting. Enjoy!

So I decided to give Carribean Star the benefit of the doubt from last times disappointed oxtail meal. And ordered the medium version instead of the large. The only real difference between the two is a larger rice portion. Don't need to pay $3 extra for just rice alone. No matter if you're a rice lover or not. Anyways I am much satisfied with this order of oxtails and they have reinstated my trust in their quality of incredibly delicious Jamaican cuisine. As you can witness from the image they were again quite generous with their oxtail portions, the coconut rice is to die for and there is quite sufficient gravy to my liking the cabbage is also very well seasoned and tender to the bite. Not at all rubbery and bland as it was the previous time. All in all I am totally very well pleased and satisfied with my order. It is as always before the last order worth every single penny.

Meat so tender, just enough fatty goodness on each big ol oxtail. 🤌🏿 Rice flavorful and delicious! Soaked up the gravy just perfectly, the veggies so seasoned up nice! And the portions! Generous. Generous. I ordered through grub hub but called the restaurant directly because I worried the grub hub delivery driver wouldn’t find my house. 😅 She was so kind and took time to take directions so he would surely find me. So glad he did. What a delightful end to a long day that was kinda rough on me. I really feel blessed with that delicious meal, and I am not exaggerating. ♥️ I regret not taking pics, but I dived in! I’m a bonafide Fat Gyal, not an IG girl. No time for fancy food pics. Truly was a beautiful spread tho.

What I have here is my norm, rice and peas, brown stew chicken, cabbage and some sweet plantains for about $14/$15. I use to get oxtail gravy on my rice as well but they don’t allow that anymore.

Home feeling intimate restaurant. Earth colors of beige and brown for the decor, can’t miss the beautiful Jamaica flag plaque and Psalms verses. Nicely shellac dark brown wood tables, each table against the wall has an outlet so you can charge your phone, a thoughtful plus! The food smells so delightful, drew me in right away. I wish I could try everything, like a sampler platter, everything just look so delicious. I had the cod fritters and rice and peas with some of the beef gravy. Excellent, just soooo good! The staff is pleasant, lovely young ladies. The business is new, about a month in now. Wishing them much success, I’ll definitely be back. Food was great cabbage was a little hard to me. But the BBQ wings are so good rice is good. Ordering goes by quick when you order however to order may take a little time depending when you come in.

I have the Jerk Pasta and Curry Chicken and rice and peas🫛. I was not disappointed. Even when I ate my leftovers it was still delicious. I would definitely recommend the a meal here for sure

A friend took me here as this is one of his go-to spots for Jamaican comfort food. We ordered oxtails, jerk pork, and his favorite fall of the bone spicy baked chicken with steamed cabbage and chicken curry gravy on rice and rasta pasta. Spot has a variety of delicious looking food. It's clean.and the service was good. It's a grab and go spot. There are a few seats by the window. We went on a Sunday at 3 pm and had a steady stream of people coming through. The jerk pork is really good but very spicy for my palate. The oxtails were solid Steamed cabbage was good The spicy baked chicken was really good. My buddy got then to pour chicken curry gravy on the rice. He loves that. The rasta pasta was really good but is spicy. It's creamy and deelish. My buddy gave this spot a 5 I'm giving 4 as the spice level was too high for me and was restricted on size. The person who served us said you can only get a medium or large size. I just wanted a small jerk potk but had to get a medium. The total for 2 combo, a rasata pasta and jerk pork was around $69 and change. A combo was a rice, a vegetable and a meat. I think it was $18. If you like spicy, this is definitely the spot. I will go again and try other dishes. The seafood dishes looked good.

The food is good and look real fresh. Only thing is I don't feel like I should have been charged $6 for a bottled carrot juice... That's crazy. Know not to buy drinks from there.. Otherwise the food is on point! My meal came out to 25 bucks

This place was okay. Like I will go back if Im in the area but its not a must that I have to return. My friend and I went during the day and even though inside tables were open, we were instructed we could only eat outside. It felt like they just didn’t want people inside but we went outside and enjoyed our food. Food is a bit pricey but its inflation now so Im not stressing businesses about their prices. Most of the food is displayed buffet style. Everything was handled efficiently and clean and packaged to go well. The food was well seasoned and portioned properly.

I was craving for some Caribbean food and this spot was the one that was open. The customer service was friendly (the one who was serving me). They were playing the old “skool” Jamaican music and it felt like home! I ordered the jerk chicken with the rice and peas and cabbage. Overall, my chicken was kind of cold but, it did had lovely flavors. I will try again another time.

With the line out the door I was very underwhelmed. Ordered the jerk chicken, rice and cabbage and another side of only jerk chicken. The jerk chicken isn't grilled, it's baked so the skin outside is soggy and their jerk sauce is more like a barbeque sauce than jerk sauce. The service was friendly (so I should have known the food wasn't going to be good - IYKYK) They ran out of peas and rice with a 45 minute wait (How sway) - so I had white rice with stew chicken gravy on it. The rice was enh - very mid. Cabbage was okay.. just nothing wow'd me. I even ordered a roti on the side - the wrap only- and it was $9... chile!! lol Won't be back but friendly staff.

Good customer service is a must for me, no matter the circumstance. Yesterday, I attempted to have lunch at Caribbean Starr and was highly disappointed with the customer service I received from my fellow Jamaicans. The cashier had a bad attitude, chose not to look at me or listen to me, and then charged me for someone else's food. When I requested a refund, they were reluctant to give me my money back directly. Overall, this experience left me very dissatisfied.

The first time I went I dined in. The food and service was great with nice portions. The second time I got carry out, again great. Went back today for carry out and got huge amount of rice and beans. They got my fish from the back and closed my container. When I got home and opened it, the fish was so small with very little meat. BIG disappointment for that nearly $30. Won't be going back.

Most of there food is tasty, but when you order through an app, their service is horrible. For $16 plus Uber fees they sent me 4 of the smallest pieces of chicken. One piece was a piece of back and one was the tip of the leg. They also do not follow the notes. When you said no gravy, they send you a bowl of slop. What is so hard to pick the 4 pieces of chicken without the gravy. Good food, but horrible and small serving. I circled the tip of the leg. That should not be served. Keep in mind I called and ask for no to little gravy.

I like the food but EVERY SINGLE TIME I leave special instructions they DO NOT pay attention. Today I have the flu and only wanted a large broth I said no chicken and they FILL IT with chicken so I didn’t get all the broth I needed. After I take out the chicken just a small amount of broth. A GREAT disappointment when i just paid $20 to deliver soup. Ridiculous!

Literally a friend of mine is sitting next to me telling me “I could’ve told you not to go there.” Stopped by before church to get some butter beans and salt fish. It was waaaayyyy too salty. I hope cooks at the restaurant know that because y’all are gonna make people sick with that much salt on the food. I couldn’t even eat it. The bakes saved the meal tbh…they were warm and soft but not as good as I’ve had them before. It’s my 3rd time there and each time the food is underwhelming, the atmosphere dry like the fish, and as always overpriced for yucky food. Please do better.

The oxtails taste like sugar im not sure whos cooking the food now but i got it on two different occasions. As sometimes when people are tired the food can be off so i gave them another chance same. Bring back the SAME CHEF FROM 2017 or 2016 when it first open food was good. Now ALL of their food just like recent reviews this place has gone down hill.

I used to love coming here on my way home from work. It’s never really on the way but the food sometimes is worth going out of the way. I went in this today to order food for me and my family. The order would have been 2 red snapper peas and rice dinners, one large Rasta pasta and large jerk peas and rice. Two of the orders would have needed ox tail gravy on the rice. The young lady behind the counter said we don’t give oxtail gravy on rice. Now this wasn’t my first time ordering from here as I said. I asked her since when because I always order or pickup. She said it’s always been the policy; which was a complete lie. She followed up with I can only get it if I order it. So instead of fussing I just canceled the order. For an empty restaurant in the middle of restaurant row in Harlem you let $80 walk out the door with not even offering an option to pay extra if I wanted it. So they kept their food and I kept my coins. There’s a Jamaican 5 blocks up. I’ll be eating from them

Let's just say things have certainly changed. Why, why, why!!! I wish they would have kept the same momentum as when they first opened. No one stays consistent anymore. They want your money but slack on product. Where is the honor and pride in what one does anymore. Ugh!

I have been to this place more than once and each visit is different depending on who’s serving you. Most of the woman in the back have a stink attitude. You can’t even ask for extra gravy on your rice without them giving you a nasty look. It’s funny because I am a woman and I’ve seen them give the men way more respect. They need to humble themselves because the food isn’t always on point.

Despite the restaurant's potential, with a live DJ and upscale ambiance, my experiences with the staff have been consistently disappointing. The service has been subpar, with staff displaying a lack of enthusiasm and a general disregard for customers. One particular incident stands out in my mind, where I requested breakfast items and was met with unnecessary resistance from the staff. Another time, when I arrived before closing, I was made to feel like an inconvenience to the staff. To make matters worse, the quality of the food has also been a letdown. Whether I dined in or ordered delivery, the dishes arrived cold and lacked flavor, far from the hot and fresh meals I've come to expect. While the ambiance and live music may be appealing, the negative experiences with customer service and food quality have overshadowed any potential charm. I hope Caribbean Star takes this feedback to heart and works towards improving these aspects for future patrons. The potential for this restaurant is undeniable, with a beautiful atmosphere and upscale amenities. However, until the staff addresses the issues with customer service and food quality, I'll be taking my business (and appetite) elsewhere. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, and Caribbean Star Restaurant in Harlem will strive to provide a more welcoming and satisfying experience for future diners. Disappointing Goat Roti: Worse roti I have had in a long time. Requested roti on the side but got roti skin totally saturated/wrapped with curried meat/channa which was extremely hot/spicy. Roti I had was dry and tasted like cardboard. Couldn't consume~ had to throw out and was not reimbursed.

Please understand the food was delicious but their was one (nickle size) piece of codfish and the plate was a side order plate. Please dont consider breakfast if your hungry

I am usually at this restaurant 4 days out of the week my order usually is brown stewed chicken, rice and peas, cabbage and sweet fried plantain or oxtail instead of the chicken but today 5/17/2024 I also bought jerk pork and to my surprise it was extremely salty the order was a medium size only meat they don’t sell any other size order with that I hope they take this under consideration and ease on the salt. Otherwise the food is okay.

I used to really enjoy eating here. Unfortunately, the customer service lately is often grumpy. Pointing instead of speaking when you ask as question. Large portions of dry rice with no gravy unless you order oxtails, lifeless cabbage. Just a waste of $13.

Hair inside my food this is not the first time and I spent over $30. I also had a large meal and they gave me a small container of cabbage to go with it, which they left out and I had to make a second trip to go get. For $37 it wasn’t worth it.

The best thing about this place is convenience, the food is already prepared in a buffet style setting. Although it looks good the food however is lackluster. Seems as if they’re using lower quality ingredients but in this economy can you really blame them? I’d rate the Rasta pasta (chicken) as well as the jerk chicken a 5/10, it’s good enough to keep you from starving, yet bad enough to make you wish you waited for another option. Unfortunately the quality of this place continues to nose dive. As others have mentioned, the portion ratios of rice to meat is off, and good luck trying to communicate with the staff. There are so many other nearby Caribbean restaurant options with better quality food and comparable (if not better) pricing.

I don’t know if it’s because I ordered online but the pick up was super easy and d was ready way before I rushed over to pick it up. My issue was the food or my food. I ordered the oxtail with jerk chicken rice. The rice was a bad mixture… it was jerk mix in the rice not really made with only jerk chicken spice in the rice only. Andd they also gave me tiny small pieces of ox tail… and they were hard and chewy at the same time. I’m not sure if it was just because to the size of the ox tail but for sure, this was not off the bone and slow cooked. My cabbage had no flavor either.. try mixing it all up… but it would make more sense if everything had good flavor and texture. It was all off and wrong.

i've ordered many different dishes, different combinations, different sizes and amounts yet somehow when i get to the cashier it always is $30. i think they make up whatever price based on how you look. and the food isn't consistently good... then maybe they'd have consistent customers and consistent prices.

The attitude of the staff is very unpleasant. I am referring to the women because the handsome young man at the front is very nice. The food is not good, and it is overpriced as well. Even though I am not Caribbean, I could have done a better job cooking my own food. Don't waste your money at this restaurant. It's not worth it.

If I could give this place no stars I would. I ordered a large lunch, totaling, $76 dollars, which included curry chicken w/ roti, jerk chicken, macaroni salad, chicken soup, plantains and two drinks. When the order arrived the Jerk chicken was missing. I called and was told by a staff member that I was lying. She told me multiple times that she put the jerk chicken in the bag and that I was a liar. She then put me on with a manager who did not care at all. I was told I could either come in or order again tomorrow and get my jerk chicken for free. I have ordered from this place 7 times in the past year and while they are usually out of something I ordered they always call and offer an alternative. To be told i was lying was a completely dumbfounding customer service tactic. I understand people might lie to get free food but that was not the case here. I will never order from this place again.

The seafood rice use to be the best now with every bite all you get is shells.crab shells shrimp shell empty clam shells someone in the kitchen is getting lazy no way a customer should be bitting into shells with the chance of swallowing and choking on them please fix this!!! All.of these empty shells in my food and I'm not even don eating and some of the shells are really small people can choke on this

Wish there was a zero star option. The restaurant left a dish off our delivery order, and when we called to (calmly) ask for it to be either sent separately or refunded, we were immediately met with an unhinged woman screaming THAT IS A LIE at the top of her lungs repeatedly for about five minutes. Never ordering from here again and suggest others don’t either unless they want to overpay for food they don’t get only to get their head bitten off by the staff.

This place use to have delicious food, but now it's needs to be shut down. I'm a shame of them. The food was good, but I had issues with their service. We used them to cater my brother’s repass, and there were two major problems: They required the full payment in cash. We worked with a woman named Deesha who arranged the delivery to our venue. They demanded payment before delivering the food. $50 for 1 mile at that. The driver then refused to deliver it, sitting in the car instead, allowing the food to get cold. We explained that this was for a repass and that we were on our way from just burying our loved one. We wouldn't be at the venue to receive the delivery, but the venue was open and the food could have been left inside. We reiterated this multiple times, but the driver was rude, lacked compassion, and didn’t follow through on what was promised. It’s unfortunate that a place with good food can have such poor service.

I visited this place recently after my cousin said it’s pretty decent. I order a medium of oxtail with rice and peas and a side of wings. $27. I sat down in their dining area and as I was eating I notice a long strand of curly black hair. The wings was also cold. I let the girl know at the register & automatically she said it was mine. I told her it was not as my hair was straight and recently colored. She bickered with the staff in the back & came back and said well what you want to do about it? She wasn’t apologetic & very rude. I didn’t even want my money back. I was just trying to let them know that there’s hair in their food and she should have some type of compassion and better customer service. I will not be returning to this place. Some work is needed on seasoning the food, customer service and hair not being in their food.

Stepped in to get a chicken soup with a friend. She stated she gets food here often, my first time and my last. We waited for about 7 mins for previous guests to leave. One guest was kind to give us wipes for the table. My friend sits, then I hear the lady from behind the counter yelling "there's a 15 minute time to eat". I didn't even sit yet. My friend strikes up a conversation with 2 other guest who had sat 5mins b 4 us. We all ignore the rude weave wearing dusty eyelash wearing server yelling from behind the food counter. Someone blasted the music, we ignored it and ate. Then the rude server came over to tell my friend she was talking to loud. And the music still blaring. We left, stood outside chatting. I stepped back in to ask her why she yelled from behind the food counter. She denied it. I left my garbage near the register. Off course they were mad/yelling "you can't do that!!" I have a habit of treating garbage like trash. I walked out. Will NEVER waste my time with them again. And oh, the chicken soup sucked.

I agree with a lot of others about the service especially for the price. I paid $27.00 for the sweet chili salmon, which was dry and I only got one side dish when I believe it was supposed to come with two. This was my first time there and I ordered takeout. There wasn't any guidance as to how the plates are made or their price. Imo Lighthouse sweet chili salmon is way better and so is the service. Even a lot cheaper if I recall correctly. I can't see myself give the place another visit.

The lady on the register is extremely rude with a nasty attitude! Tall medium build worker not very attentive to his customers. I asked for Mac n cheese told me 15 minutes and could sit over at the counter. I sat for 45 minutes and he never returned!! So I returned to the line and he walked away and the register lady came to take order. Don’t be upset if the customer can’t hear you when you play the music so loud! The customer service there is a 1 and the food is a 2. Better service and food is at golden crust where I initially was going! I've been coming to Caribbean starr from the time they first opened and have been loyal ever since. Unfortunately for the last couple of months the customer service has dropped significantly and it's getting worse over time. I came to the restaurant tonight at around after 8:00 pm and got a large oxtail dinner and a drink. They had ran out of cabbage and salad and I stated that I would take the cole slaw instead. For many years I always have my coleslaw separately and not put together with the food. They stated that I would have to pay $5.00 extra and I stated that it's part of the meal and why am I being charged extra. Instead of trying to listen to what I was trying to say so we can come up with a clear solution, the young lady who was wearing glasses with a light brown top was very disrespectful and even wanted to come over to fight me and stated that she didn't care and her colleague had to tell her to relax because I stated that the customer service is deplorable and you are being nast, rude and disrespectful to me. What type of establishment have workers want to physically fight the customer because I am voicing my dissatisfaction on the customer service.I stated to the young lady that is not the way you treat and speak to customers who have been loyal from day one and spend a lot of money and have recommended many people to come here throughout the years. I will not ever be coming back to this restaurant and be disrespected by employees. The owner of this establishment needs to train his employees on proper edicate and customer service. I am saddened that it has to come to this decision but my experience was horrific and painful.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE…I WILL NEVER eat from this restaurant again after today, the attitude and the lack of professionalism I experienced from the very RUDE server was it for me. The food at this restaurant is OVERPRICED but when I am work in Harlem I would stop by and always get the curry Goat (ask to taste it because the Curry Goat is usually very salty.) Don’t ask any questions about the price, serving size and don’t ask for more specialty rice ( Jerk rice, spinach rice, sea food rice) even if you are already paying Extra for it, you will get disrespected and be told “if you can’t afford it, then don’t order it”. Paying for my food is not a problem, what I can’t afford is to be DISRESPECTED so I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS RESTAURANT OR RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE.

I placed an order through the app, hoping it would be ready more quickly. When I get to the store, the person who answers the orders at the window is rude and badly spoken I don't order again in this store.

I went in the restaurant while they had almost no food, the chicken was almost empty everything was out of meat, no Mac & cheese there was shrimp soup with no shrimp, only starch and veggies , I asked a woman employee to give me soup gravy and rice and she can up-charge me but I asked if she could NOT CHARGE me full price since there was JUST SOUP IN THE CHICKEN SOUP. There was no CORN and no CHICKEN in the soup. It was only carrots and 1 yam! She could’ve made a consistent customer happy and had made some type of sale by accommodating a customer with a difference in an up charge but instead she refused sale when there was almost nothing to sell, which I didn’t understand why not do what is best for the business and best for your customers instead of what the regulations are?? If they obviously don’t apply at the moment when you don’t even have the full food service such as corn or chicken to make a soup chicken soup why not just sell it as is and make accommodations to sell it and get sales?? I felt like this was very stupid and complicated. And MONEY HUNGRY. I don’t feel like it’s completely the workers’s fault, but the workers should be educated on better service as I feel they continuously try to accommodate themselves and whatever they would like to do instead of accommodating the best services for their business. I’ve seen them higher and fire many, good people and lose many valuable customers due to their negligence. I wish this business. The best of luck. Their food is great but highly overpriced when they have rude employees, terrible service and every time you go there, you feel like you’re giving your money away by chance with no love fed back into your food while you’re being served.

SCAM. Asked how much a plate of rice and peas and cabbage would be. The server went to the cashier to ask about pricing. After 2 minutes, walked back and told me $10. Despite only 2 people ahead of me I waited at least 8 minutes before my order was taken. Then rung up $14.15. RIDICULOUS. When I went to the register. The price was $14.15. Tax? No. They literally gaslit me and said no it’s $14 even after the server reconfirmed after I asked again throughly CONFUSED why the rice alone was $8 and the cabbage was $5, which is not what I was told. It’s not my fault if I don’t eat meet but still want to support a local business. I was punished. Ridiculous. I’m vegan and very hungry. It was 11:30pm and 90 degrees. I told them KEEP IT. RIDICULOUS. The employees are young, arrogant and could care less about customers. So RUDE. And the music was very loud, so I even asked— did I not HEAR you say $10 because of the music? She said no I said $10 only to have the cashier negate that and still charge $14 AND it’s not like their food is ever that spectacular. I’m half Jamaican and half Trinidadian. So even though it’s literally across the street from my home I WILL NEVER go there again. So silly and shameful to run a “business” that way. And there’s no covers on the food so as they move the containers of food warmed, the FILTHY WATER UNDERNEATH drips on the other food because they don’t even THINK to cover it before they move it. Exactly. Too busy listening to loud music and setting prices as they please to actually KEEP THE FOOD CLEAN AND SAFE. And most of the employees BLEACH THEIR SKIN which is also ridiculous to see. As a Caribbean woman I’m EMBARRASSED for them!

Very unprofessional staff when you come to patronize only to be asked to purchase something for them. I couldnt believe it. I will never go there again. Then to make matters worse when i accepted because i did not feel like humiliating her, she took the sorrel that contained alcohol. Very low class!

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I stood in line behind three customers who all placed their orders in the same manner. There was another person behind me as well. Suddenly, someone walked in from the back and had their order taken before any of us. We all stood there confused and puzzled. When we questioned it, the cashier told us that our orders were not taken because we “did not order when we walked in.” There was absolutely no sign, no posted instructions, and no guidance explaining how the line or ordering process worked. How are customers expected to know what to do when there are no directions? We were simply left standing there and not served. We often hear about poor service at typical Jamaican restaurants, but this experience truly takes the trophy. While the food may be good, good food becomes irrelevant when the service is this bad. Customer service is part of the dining experience, and this was an absolute failure. This is the second time I have had a negative experience at this exact restaurant. I swore I would never return, but I decided to give them another chance. That was clearly a mistake. I will never support this establishment again, nor will I recommend it as I have done in the past. The service was unacceptable, unprofessional, and frankly disgusting. The staff clearly needs proper customer service training, and management is definitely lacking leadership and organization. I am writing this with no expectation of change, this is simply my honest experience. I am not pleased, and I will not be back.

I was a supporter from day 1, but lately this new generation of workers are trashing the place. When you order online they never follow the instructions it's almost like they do the total opposite on purpose as if it's some kind of joke. Done with here.

If I could give these people no star, instead of One that would be good.. I'm really disappointed to be honest because I ordered their food on Tuesday the 10th And this restaurant have my phone number to give me a call to pacifically say if an item is unavailable.. but instead they give me something different. I ordered stew chicken and rice, mac & cheese, and a red velvet cake with a pineapple soda But instead of refunding or calling me to notify that an item is unavailable they decide to take it upon themselves and give me something different. Two items was incorrect. Everything else was fine Their store was about to close that day so I couldn’t Make the call.I decided to give them a call today, which is Wednesday the 11th Feb.. And the person that I spoke to Was very hostile.. I was going to just order the same thing from yesterday but instead of me paying for it again. I spoke to the worker asking her can I just pay for the Rice and peas Since it’s your mistake for putting the incorrect item in bag With a smiley face write on a napkin. The woman Blaming me that it’s my fault for not calling which I explained again saying that they were about to close so I could not make that call….. It’s all right i’m not mad. It’s just their foods. tastes good so it’s fine I’ll just have to try a different restaurant For now.

OMG, the oxtail was awful. They didn't cut the fat off so disgusting. it was big and taste terrible. a few yrs ago my coworkers bought it from here and it was so good I would never buy here again. It turned me off oxtail for good

Use to be my favorite for the stew pork and the price the food was always okay but I always order there again for the price. It’s since gon up $5 dollars over night 😂 Not sure why they would add $5 to each meal when the food is the exact same if not getting worse. It’s very disappointing and especially around this time. I’ve since found a new place and I know they don’t care but I thought I’d leave this here incase they start wondering why the sudden decline in orders online.

My friend has gently shared her disgusting experience she had went through with this restaurant!!!! She was verbally and physically assaulted by one of the employees at this nasty restaurant. The server attitude was atrocious, unpleasant, unprofessional, dreadful, and most importantly distasteful . The saddest thing about dealing with this black owned businesses is that the situation that occurred was unprovoked, the sever throw food at a customer that just paid FOR NO REASON!! I CANT BELIEVE THIS HAPPENED. When the situation was occurring people from the community was informing my friend that this isn't the first situation that happened with that same employee…WOWWWWW I couldn’t believe this happened to my friend 😢😢. ** the image is from an employee that was rooting for that nasty behavior. **The second image is the food that was thrown. **The last image is of the manager that was on the shift that couldn’t handle or couldn’t de-escalate anything. If I could give them a lower score I would . I come here regularly and literally get the same order ( curry chicken with Rasta pasta, which is an up charge btw) . Today however , I came in and was told no by a new woman I never seen before and the cashier who was rang up my order on several occasions ( see picture below). I tried explain to the lady that this is a routine order for me and I am aware of the up charge that normally comes with it, however she refused to serve me and proceeded to help the next person. They were very rude and dismissive and for a person who frequents this establishment, I will never come back. There was never an alternative solution given just a simple outright refusal to help me. The disrespect was disgusting snd distasteful.

So I went for lunch $18.54 for three pieces of chicken & rice. I asked for a small but she said only medium and large. She said it was a meal but charged me individually as you can see on the receipt. No cabbage or any other sides! My co worker was right besides me with another server who gave her a small plate for $9.84. Everytime I go here they charge me extra. It's not cool the place doesn't have alot of customers so they do funny stuff! I wouldn't recommend this place. The food is average sometimes the rice is dry. And the servers have attitudes.

Ordered chicken wings and the chicken was still bleeding. Smh. When I requested my money back the manager refused to give refund. She was not pleasant. They did not remove the pan of uncooked chicken from being served. She said they can only give me something to replace it. I had nausea from seeing this uncooked bleeding chicken. As a community we deserve better service and respect. Plus, they are over priced. They will be reported to the health department !!!!!!

I ordered and paid over $27.00 USD not JMD and got this tasteless raw vegetables on my fish, instead of pickled. This is not escovitch, then they had the nerve to tell me over the phone that this is how they make escovitch fish. Overpriced food and you not getting what you paid for smh. My second and last time buying from this place.
