Had an everything bagel with the garlic and herb cream cheese and it tasted amazing. Bagel was perfectly toasted. This was the first time at this location and the staff seemed friendly to me.
I had an everything bagel with cream cheese, lox, tomato, and onion and it was delicious! They did not skimp on the lox, which many places do. Loved it!
I stopped in for a quick breakfast of a bagel and was not disappointed. There was a little too much schmear for my taste, but that's easily fixed by scraping the excess off.
A bagel and cream cheese for about $5 seems like a lot until you get one here. They are huge. I’m not a small guy and it was a meal for me. Tasted great too.
I order from these guys all the time. Great bagel sandwiches and breakfast platters, great everything. Fast delivery and the best coffee in Manhattan.
Amazingly efficient place to get a good bagel sandwich and other related goodies. The folks working behind the counter were quite professional and amenable to any request.
If you liked fresh made Bagels fresh-made cream cheeses this is the place to go they have all different types I've cream cheeses salads food if this was to rate from 1 to 10 that would definitely rate this attend 10 this is a place near me to go bagels are big and juicy soft as can be they have all types of bagels whole wheat and everything else
Went their 1 time and if I have to go back to the city which I do have to soon I will be getting my bagel here. So delicious....
Best Bagels in the city 🏙️
When you're in NYC, the last thing you need is a Starbucks. Gems like these cater to the locals and have a much wider variety. Ample seating. Clean.
Excellent bagels. In my opinion, better than H & H Bagels on 81st & 2nd, where I used to primarily go. I just wish they had Bialys. If you are a Bialy person, you are out of luck.
New management doing great job
Great lil spot, excellent staff, delicious clean food freshly made to order. It's on 61st Street and 1st Ave.
One of my favorite bagels in the city. Worth taking a trip from anywhere in manhattan if you're craving a hearty breakfast sandwich
Very clean so good number one Bagel
Very Clean and Excellent Food
Best breakfast burrito in the area.
Very pleasant stay here for lunch. We took 2 cheeseburger and one quesadilla and they were super good! Very nice staff as well.
This place is sooo good. Lots of options. We even had to come back here on our 3 dsy stay. Bagels are so big and soft and tasty. Cream cheese literally drips off the bagel. Coffee isnt that great, but the egg and chhese bagel sandwiches make up for it. Behind the counter is disorganized, but all in all, excited about coming back.
Solid bagel place with prompt and friendly service. I would definitely go back to try other menu items.
Besides the food being delicious and at a fair price, My wife accidentally left her hand purse and didn't notice until they closed, the next morning we were happy to hear they kept it safe and as far as we can tell untouched. Thank you to any customer and employee and owner for showing that NY is a great place to be.
My first NY bagel shop experience and it didn’t disappoint. Thank you!
place looks so much better with the new owners, feels brighter and the bagels are great. excited to come back!!
Best breakfast burrito ever but also good for a classic bagel with cream cheese or BEC. Sweet staff who are there every day. They have a ton of seating which is a nice touch.
They make their own bagles and really fresh and chewy. Try it ! You'll be come back
This place is really good and customer services was so great!
It's the taste of New York i haven't had in a very longtime.
Great food, Exelent price, now is a nice place than before.
I stopped by Daily Begel last week and it was a pure surprise for me. Things were soooo fresh and delicious. The owner was so helpful and nice too. Lox and cream cheese is such a treat! You must try when you are in the neighborhood.
I have been coming here every morning for the past year and a half. The place itself is clean and nice. The food is amazing. Their juices are fresh and delicious especially for my morning work outs. I work nearby so I even stop by for lunch sometimes. The bagels are fresh and soft. Love all of them, especially the different cream cheese flavors. Everyone is always happy to see me and even joke around with me.
Best spot for breakfast workers have the best interaction.
The space was very clean and inviting. The staff was friendly, and the service was prompt. The bagels were crusty outside and perfectly chewy inside. I've loved my experience at Daily Bagel!
New ownership. Very friendly owner. I love their sandwiches. Great price too!
Super fresh and tasty bagels. You can tell they’re made right there — warm, fresh, and really good. Nice crispy outside with a soft inside. Everything tasted fresh and hit the spot. Definitely coming back again.
Solid bagel spot on 1st Ave! The bagels are fresh and tasty - you can tell they're hand-crafted. I got an everything bagel with lox and it hit the spot perfectly. The space is clean and inviting, good for a quick breakfast before work or just hanging out with coffee. They've got a nice variety on the menu including sandwiches, spreads, and smoothies if you want something different. Service was pretty quick and they got my order right. Staff was decent though maybe not super chatty - but honestly I just wanted my bagel and coffee so no complaints there. Prices are a bit higher than some other places ($10-20 range) but the quality is there. Worth checking out if you're in the area!
This bagel shop has gotten so much better recently! The new owner took over not long ago, and the whole place has been beautifully remodeled — it feels fresh, clean, and welcoming. The best part is that they also adjusted the prices, making everything much more reasonable. The quality is great, the atmosphere is upgraded, and the value is better than ever. I’m really happy with all the changes! Highly recommended!
Finally nice to have a nice clean bagel store in the neighborhood. That’s great service , Scrumptious bagel and owners on site. Keep up the great work.
I have to give Daily Bagel at 1111 1st Ave five massive stars! This place is truly a neighborhood treasure and my absolute go-to for the perfect New York bagel experience. From the moment you walk in, you're hit with that amazing, comforting smell of freshly baked bagels. The texture is always spot-on: a perfectly crisp and shiny crust on the outside, with a dense, chewy, and flavorful inside. You can just tell they are made with serious care. Their "everything" bagel is heavenly and generously seasoned (none of that sparse topping nonsense!). I'm also obsessed with their scallion cream cheese, which is always fresh and loaded with scallions. Whether I'm getting a classic lox and cream cheese or just a simple buttered bagel, they never disappoint. The ingredients are always fresh, the lox is sliced perfectly, and they know how to build a sandwich. Even when there's a line (which there often is, because it's just that good), the staff is incredibly efficient, friendly, and fast. They move people through quickly while still making you feel welcome. If you're in the 10065 area or anywhere on the Upper East Side and craving an authentic, delicious bagel, look no further than Daily Bagel. It's the real deal!
The bagels were fresh and chewy, and they had various options for cream cheese and the flavor was amazing! Definitely one of the best bagel shops I've been to in manhattan.
We ordered a chicken bagel with avocado that was delicious, and a pastrami sandwich that was incredible in quality and size. I only put 5 stars because you can't do more. A place where we hope we can repeat the visit.
“The bagels are perfectly crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The cream cheese spread is super fresh, and the combination is just perfect. Definitely one of the best bagels I’ve had in New York!”
pretty sure this place is under new management/ownership and it’s already so much better. bagels are sooo fresh and service is great. renovation is going on right now, excited to see how it turns out!!
Bagels are delicious and fresh. Service was quick and friendly as well. Their breakfast specials were amazing as well as their selection of various spreads. Definitely my go to bagel store going forward!
Great bagels and excellent tofu cream cheese. Would be great to see more flavors of the tofu cream cheese in the future!
Bagel was great. Toasted work butter was served quickly and the order was right. Some items seemed costly but all in all it was a good experience and I will be back
The bagels are good but not mindblowingly great. The place is clean and the staff friendly. They have tons of other foods and fancy drinks for sale that I've honestly never tried because when I go to a bagel place I just get bagels. Decently sized area to sit and eat. Crowded on weekend mornings.
Nice fresh bagels with lots of spreads to choose from. A lovely juice/smoothie bar in the back, and surprisingly tasty udon noodles as well. Nothing extraordinary, but a very solid place to grab a quick bite.
It was clean and not many people inside. I ordered an egg sandwich w/ham & cheese on sesame seed bagel with coffee . I received the largest bagel sandwich ever. I enjoyed it slowly & immensely on my ride from city to queens. It was VERY GOOD. The bagel was FRESH. I'm impressed. The prices weren't too bad either. It was worth it. They have public restrooms as well. It had been a number of years since I had been here. The only thing I didn't miss was the Crowd.
Solid spot for a breakfast bite. They have bagels, pastries, and hot breakfast items including platters that come with a coffee. I went in about 9am on a Friday. Two people behind the counter. One chef one cashier. The chef took my order (breakfast burrito) and I went and pre-paid for that and an iced coffee. The total came out to be about 15 dollars. The coffee was nothing out of the ordinary, just plain deli coffee. The burrito was deceivingly small but packed a punch. It had decently spicy pico de gallo, cold yellow cheese, fried hash brown, diced sausage patty, and egg. It was a mess to eat but it tasted good. Would recommend.
The bagels were very fresh and deliciously prepared into an egg, ham and cheese sandwich. The coffee was bitter, so I wasn't a big fan. I'm sure some like it stronger than others. The place is pricey. Maybe it's the location, however. Overall, it is a good option for breakfast, if you are in that part of the city.
I drop by here almost every weekend. I do like their bagels, though they're not there best I've had, but being a local here in the city, I'd say they're better than any bagels outside the city. Their iced coffee is pretty good as well and their service is always great. I'll continue making my weekly weekend visits. My boyfriend also loves that they have jalapeno cream cheese.
A little over priced. The fresh squeezed orange juice is not fresh squeezed. I’ve gotten a stomach ache 3 out of 5 times eating here.
I used to love this place, would stop by often before work. It's always very hot and muggy inside so you should hope there isn't a line. It was pricier than other places though I wouldn't mind all that since I really liked their food. Until this week when they raised their prices, again. Nobody should be charging over $8 for a simple bacon egg and cheese. I will now be taking my business elsewhere.
Great bagels, large assortment of cream cheeses, good bakery section. Often times very busy in the morning rush and tend to mix up and miss orders. Waited 20 mins for a bagel with butter, I get it they're busy but this has happened multiple times.
I had bacon egg and cheese on a bagel. I also had some time to kill and was looking to get a coffee and read for a bit. The food was average but I would not recommend spending ANY time here. The a/c was not on so the indoor area was muggy and uncomfortable. The only alternative was sidewalk seats on a busy road. Good for take out or grab and go but the atmosphere is not good!
Ordered delivery, so i cant comment on the atmosphere. Overall, it was "meh". Nothing truly bad about it, but certainly nothing special. We had the bacon egg and cheese on asiago, and the Canadian bacon and cheese also on asiago. Bagels were very dense and lacked the airiness to complement the crunch. Even with the moisture from the egg (which tastes like it came from a bottle, rather than fresh) it still felt hard and not like what ypu would expect from a fresh bagel. Sour cream was good and fresh.
Poor service: I went in on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't busy at all, maybe two other customers who had already ordered. Four staff members who were talking to each other more than working. It took twelve minutes to get my cold sandwich which was way over-priced and it was given with attitude. These staff members need to learn some customer service.
Overcharged me for a lox bagel. Listed as 12.95 when tax was added jumped to 18.95. Beware. On the other hand the place is nice and my bagel was good so can’t fault the product. Still no excuse for robbing people at the register.
Did not get what I ordered, mushroom and spinach omelette platter - received cold spinach omelette and no potatoes; one apple crumb muffin and one blueberry crumb muffin- received 2 blueberry muffins I should have been called if order couldn’t be filled. NEVER order again!
They don't serve Black Moors. How Awful!! Be Aware that the clerk is a mean-spirited Racist!! They will ignore you and go on to serve other whites in line
Count your change!!! I ordered a tuna wrap with lettuce and tomato it came up to 13.95. The tuna wrap cost 6.95 with lettuce and tomato including tax it went to 13.95. I thought this was a bit much for lettuce and tomato so I asks and did the math. He admitted it but tried to brush it off so nonchalantly that I know he's doing it to people regularly. This is the one located on first ave and 60th. The Spanish workers are crooks.
Ordered online and half the order turned up - we were missing all the bagels we ordered! Our son ate his breakfast and we called twice and the bagels still hadn't been delivered over an hour later..... still waiting Daily Bagel!!
I ordered bagel and a coffee a guy took long time to tost and I asked how long it will take. He was reply with attitude saying that I have to wait not to rush. I said it is going to take forever? He reply yes. As I am Asian that is the reason he was rude right next to me a Spanish he was talking in Spanish and was very nice. This type of reason we need a leader like Trump who will do more will build in this country the rasim. Spanish and Chinese do rasim more than Trump does.
This place gave me food poisoning. Afterwards I find out they were previously shut down for leaving bagels on the floor, having roaches, and vermin. Really ruined my vacation.
I went as as I normally do to get a tuna melt Wrap! The gentleman that was about to make my food asked the other guy something in Spanish, but he answered white bread in English, so I stated no I’d like a wrap, he began to argue with me over what I said! 1st time having someone get so rude with me over bread or a wrap! Will not be going back!
Worst place i've ever been to. They literally charged me ten dollars for a normal bacon, egg and cheese on a roll.
They are deceiving with their prices and don’t tell you until you’re paying. They have a sign under one section of their breakfast menu that says there is a fee after 11AM, but they apply to all breakfast items, even ones not under the disclaimer.
I ordered through Grubhub. Bacon cheeseburger w/ mayo bbq sauce and lettuce and pickles. They put mayo ketchup and lettuce and tomatos. And refused to send another one. **I'm allergic to tomatos**
I stop in this place often, most days I call to place order before I get in there trying to avoid the long line (only one register is open). Although my order is ready when I arrive, no avoiding waiting on the long lines some days. Recently they increase the minimum credit card purchase from $5 to $8 with no exceptions. You can literally spend $7.30 but they require $8. You can be a loyal customer but never get the benefit of the doubt, I have been short $0.30 (cents) and was unable to receive the item. The workers do not connect with their customers at all.
Havent eaten here since they first opened but wanted to share what I saw on my early walk to work this morning. At around 530 am, the side door was opened for a quick second as a worker brought something outside, and there were 2 crates of bagels ON THE FLOOR. Like, bagels were touching the floor. In the crates that they are displayed on. Gross. Just an FYI to whoever eats here.
Overpriced item and poor customer service. I paid $10 to get a cold, poorly put together bagel. The guy making the bagel was rolling eyes when I asked for lettuce (???), as if he’s doing me a huge favor. Went to the counter and almost got charge $18 for a bagel and a coffee (???). Truly disappointed.
"I left my handbag in this breakfast place, and someone hid it from me, which was quite upsetting. Additionally, there was a bad smell throughout the place, and the food was tasteless. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience."
This place has the worst service and ruined my order twice,I ordered over the phone for a Japanese style Noodle soup and I asked them to add tofu, scallions, broccoli, corn, dry seeweed when my order arrived and I was about to eat and I've noticed they put Feta cheese in my noodle soup and half of the stuff that I told them to add wasn't even there,I was very upset the fact that people pay good money for there food and service,I mean they messed up my order and who puts feta cheese in Japanese noodle soup? I'm not going back there again, this place deserves a half a star not one star!
Ordered a bacon, eggs and home fries platter and asked for ketchup on the home fries. The ketchup was sloppily squirted all over the eggs and bacon due to the home fries being covered by the eggs and bacon. The bacon was stuck together in a tight ball where I couldn’t even separate it. And when I tried, it crumbled up in little pieces. The scrambled eggs were orange which told me that they were scrambled yokes. Like I’m stupid. They probably use all the leftover yokes that they separate for people who want egg whites. The cooking staff must have been upset at my complaint because they came out to see who complained. Although my eggs and bacon were made over for me I didn’t have time to eat it because now I had to be to work. The cashier and the gentleman that took my order were nice. But I would never step foot back in there again.
I ordered a bagel sandwich with mushroom omelet and asked the cook to put butter on it. He did. Then I went to the cashier to pay. I said I ordered the omelet bagel with butter. She said is it platter with a bit accent. I repeated myself 'butter'. Then she charged me as the price of platter. I realized it was wrong after I paid and would like to ask for a correction. But she was blaming me all the time without trying to fix the problem. Anyway. Never come again. The cashier is not nice at all.
Terrible service. The cashier was very rude and their food is mediocre. Honestly don’t waste your time here. There are better breakfast options around. No wonder it’s always empty in there!
This guy cashier closed didn’t tell anything we stay with baby bought orders today
Come here for bagels and coffee almost daily. Today I just got a cup of coffee and didn't have enough cash on me so I asked if I could charge it and the lady said no because there was a minimum for credit cards. No exception for a regular? No problem. I hope you enjoyed the $0.03 you saved on credit card fees today because I'll never be back. Also she was nasty to other people in line. Byeeee
Over priced. $13.50 for small coffee and bagel sandwich. And they play a really loud radio with annoying commercials in the dinning area. No one wants to hear loud commercials as they have a coffee. Typical employees that have absolutely no interest in the customer.
Holy cow this food is bad, ordered a bagel, panini, and donut, all 3 inedible and gross, this place deserves a 1 star
Rare for me to upload a review. Something strange about this place. Entered this place Saturday AM. There only 3 people with one person ahead of me. 4 people behind the counter. Couldn't catch anyone's attention. Once I did I when I was trying to pay, I asked for a plastic bag. The cashier failed to acknowledge so I asked again. She moved her hand in front of my face as if to tell me to shush. I'm not sure how this place stays in business. The owner of this business should really be worried.
Multiple occasions have been blatantly ignored while waiting in line to order. It has not been busy. Just overlooked. Service better at almost all of the other bagel places in area.
I got real bad service here. They don’t treat people well that speak Spanish even though they are all Latinos. I got an attitude from the cashier for simply asking “how’s the breakfast burrito” couldn’t sell me water with that attitude and I kept it simple anyways and ordered a bagel and still it came out hard and burnt. What’s the problem? You don’t like money? Or clients? I work at Trader Joe’s I’ll let my crew know how terrible the service was. Now I see why it’s always empty in there.
