Had an awesome meal here! Tried bhindi jahapanah, gilafi paneer, veggie Gupta burger, and makke ki roti with sarso ka saag, and everything was seriously delicious. The bhindi jahapanah was cooked really well — crisp but still tender and full of flavor. The gilafi paneer was super tasty with great spices, and the veggie Gupta burger was surprisingly flavorful and fun (not your typical burger). The makke ki roti with sarson ka saag was rich, comforting, and absolutely hit the spot — perfect traditional combo done right. Overall the food was amazing, great mix of classic and creative dishes. Loved the experience and the flavors. Would definitely come back!

Incredible service and amazing vegan options that are clearly labeled. Our server was so kind and welcoming! I didn’t think there were a lot of good dining spots in the theatre district, until I found Dilli Dilli! Not only is it beautifully decorated, it feels like a break from the hustle and bustle of Times Square. A must try!!

Authentic North Indian food! Loved the taste. Double Tadka Dal was yummy. Portion sizes are smaller compared to usual American standards, so order accordingly. I didn't have a reservation, so got a seat near bar counter. Would recommend reserving in advance especially if going as a group.

The food, ambiance, and service here are on point. We had Faiz who was an amazing server. Very attentive. We came here as a party of five. Our favorite starters were the Koyla Chicken and Dilli Dilli Tikki. So flavorful. We also loved the Kulafi paneer, literally melts in your mouth! Old monk lamb chops had to have been some of the best lamb chops I’ve had. Seasoned to perfection and full of flavor. For our mains we followed the recommendations and indulged on chili paratha paired with butter chicken and lalaji ka daal. The daal was so comforting and rich. Punjabi bagh ka saag was phenomenal and took us right back to our roots of familiar Punjabi comfort food. Everyone enjoyed every single cocktail. Popular were the golgappa margarita, dill se, Delhi Negroni, and the Old India. Each drink was crafted perfectly and was well balanced. For dessert we loved the jalebi and shahi gulab jamun. What a phenomenal meal. They were child friendly and gave my son a mango lassi and plain naan which he loved. Hats off to Chef Vipul who is already a sincerely amazing person on such a great culinary experience in Times Square no less.

Dilli Dilli has genuinely become my weekend ritual in NYC. I come here almost every weekend, and it never disappoints. The service is warm, attentive, and they always make us feel so well taken care of. The food, honestly some of the best North Indian food I’ve had in the city. My go-to order is the Lachha Paratha with paneer dishes… absolutely unbeatable. The layers on the paratha are perfect every single time, and the paneer is always so fresh and flavorful. Their starters are always on point, and even the desserts hit the mark every time. The ambience is cozy, vibrant, and makes you want to sit there for hours. They’re also super accommodating, which I really appreciate since I’m practically a regular now. If you’re craving authentic Delhi-style flavors in NYC, this place is a must. I can’t recommend it enough!

We had an amazing experience at Dilli Dilli! We ordered the tikki, which was really good, and the kadhai paneer with rumali roti was absolutely outstanding — truly the highlight of the meal. The shahi tukda was also delicious and the perfect sweet ending. Honestly, this is some of the best Indian food I’ve had in NYC. Highly recommend!

Dilli Dilli is such a delight!! I have only been there twice now, but loved it so much that we returned there on the second occasion for my birthday. Every aspect of this place is a pleasure, as soon as you walk in the interior design is so elevated-cozy, and thoughtfully done with intention. The staff is amazing, caring, and responsive, but not in your face. The cocktails are one of the highlights as well. I had the Golden Hour and be careful you might want to order several, it is so good! And of course the food - it is Indian food elevated with some dishes having such delicate flavor profiles captured that I have never experienced with Indian food before. We have eaten family style here both times so had several dishes and all were delicious. Oh, and the music vibe is awesome, not too loud or anything, just enough to create privacy of conversations between neighboring tables, but whatever it is they play, you feel like you want to get up and start dancing. We can't wait to visit Dilli Dilli again.

The Gupta burger, chole bhatura and soya chaap were AMAZING! However, was disappointed with the rabdi jalebi and another dessert we had! Overall great atmosphere and service by Tanmay!

4/5 Stars Came solo and ordered way too much food to try the menu – here's the honest breakdown: STANDOUTS: Dilli Dilli Tikki ($18) – Finally, a place that makes it RIGHT with lachas instead of boiled potatoes. Crispy exterior, soft inside, proper dahi and chutneys. Authentic Delhi street food vibes. Yellow Daal ($22) – Chef's rec and it delivered. They do the tadka tableside with desi ghee, garlic, and jeera. Proper home-style comfort. Koyla Chicken ($24) – Well-marinated chicken thigh with that distinct mustard oil flavor. Juicy and balanced, though I'd personally want more heat. Wenger's Shammi Kebab ($20) – Made with goat and lentils, soft texture (think galouti-adjacent), nice khade masala flavor. Solid. Chilli Parantha – Really good, would order again. GOOD BUT NOT MIND-BLOWING: Chilli Cheese Toast ($16) – Nice cafe-style snack, balanced and cheesy. Does what it's supposed to do. Gupta Burger ($24) – Uses the same tikki as the chaat, soft bun, good coleslaw. Tasty combo but felt a bit pricey for what it is. Jalebi & Rabri – Rabri was nice, jalebi more crispy than juicy. Not too sweet which I appreciated. National Mutton Curry ($34) – Rich desi-style gravy, authentic taste. Goat was slightly chewy but the flavor made up for it. COULD BE BETTER: Ram Laddoo ($16) – Chutney was bitter and it was just the daal laddoo without the juicy meetha component. If you know Delhi Ram Laddoo, this might disappoint. Chicken Momos ($20) – Basic and underwhelming by Delhi standards. House chutney was nice though. Rumali Roti – Underwhelming. AMBIENCE AND SERVICE: The restaurant looks just as good as the pics on their website. Nice low-light cozy theme, very aesthetic. I’ve heard wait times can be long but I went right at 5 pm opening so it was empty and service was quick. Staff was friendly and attentive – water glasses were being refilled without asking. Hospitality was solid overall. Chef Vipul came by to chat about the restaurant’s journey and story – you can tell there’s genuine passion here. They’re trying to bring authentic Delhi flavors to the table, and mostly succeeding. Worth a visit if you’re craving legit Delhi street food. Go with a group so you can try more dishes! Recently tried Dilli Dilli, located right in the heart of Midtown Manhattan near Times Square. It’s a cute little spot, perfect for date nights, with Indian-inspired decor and vibrant green plants that give it a warm, cozy vibe. The food was actually really good — full of authentic New Delhi–style street food flavors, exactly what you’d expect when you visit an Indian restaurant in the middle of Manhattan. What we ordered: Starters: • Dilli Dilli Tikki • Koyla Chicken • Gilafi Paneer Mocktails: • Coconut Dillight • Divine Love Main Course: • Kaju Pista Kofta • Pandara Road Butter Chicken • Roomali Roti • Butter Garlic Naan Every dish we tried was delicious, flavorful, and true to Indian taste. However, I personally felt the portion sizes were quite small for the price. Most dishes had only 3 pieces, and it would be much better if they served 4 pieces — it looks better visually and also justifies the price. Because of the smaller portions, we had to reorder some dishes. Considering the Times Square location, the pricing is understandably a bit high, but the portion size is where I felt they fall short compared to other Indian restaurants in NYC. The wait time was also on the longer side — we waited around 20–30 minutes for our food to arrive. But the presentation was nice, and the staff were extremely welcoming. They kept checking in to make sure we were enjoying everything. The restaurant was full and packed, so it was even hard to take pictures 😄 Overall, I had a great time — lovely service and flavorful dishes. Just wish the portion sizes were a little bigger for the price!

The food was delicious. Their paneer is the softest and tastes great. On the contrary, the service is a little slow. Getting the water or your coke refilled took a long time and multiple requests. I suggest having additional staff as this is the second time I have been here and faced the same issue. More staff and additional attention will make the experience more enjoyable.

Went to Dilli Dilli in Times Square, NYC for my dad’s birthday with family. The chicken and Bombay sandwich (love the seasoning on the chips!) were highlights, and the appetizers, especially the bhindi, were great. Drinks were interesting — the Old Fashioned was strong, the mocktail a bit sour, and the tequila “Golden Something” had achar pickle, unique but okay. Sabji was average, desserts were good, and service was excellent. Ambiance is nice, typical NYC Indian fusion, though a bit pricey with parking. Overall, a fun night with family!

Overall really convenient location and very flavorful food. Big downside is that they can't really customize to your taste if you want something spicy or mild, etc. which makes me think everything is pre-made already. All the food also came out lukewarm and not hot as it would be if freshly made. Also just like all other good Indian restaurants, this place is expensive as well for the portions they serve. Reservations are required but we were able to walk-in at about 630pm. We got the Onion Seed Naan (asked for crispy, didn't happen), side of Basmati rice (always a shocker that this is not included and costs $8 for a tiny bowl of white rice), Daal Maurya and Highway Paneer (asked both to be spicy and they weren't). Taste was good on everything though so worth a visit if you don't want to stray far from Times Square want decent expensive Indian food. Everything tasted good but came in tiny portions. We're used to sharing 1 entree between the 2 of us but here even the 2 entrees were barely enough to make us feel full and satisfied

Good vibes, but the food was a 6/10 and didn’t live up to the hype. Portions felt small for the price, and the place seems to be aiming for high-end without fully delivering. That said, the manager, Dipen-ji, is an absolute rockstar!

Great ambience, pleasant experience, serving sizes are Small which could be good or bad subject to your preference. Short Menu which I found good as it helps make quicker and easier decisions on what to have. The quality of food is good/decent, does not exceed expectations in any way however. Overall rating for this restaurant would be 6.5/10 considering the Food served and 8/10 on atmosphere/ambience, Menu Photos attached for reference. Pre-booked reservation with a HOLD on Credit Card through Open Table so no wait times for seating for 2.

First, the quantity of dishes is very less. Second, the flavors are catered to those who prefer less spices. The hero dish was the chicken momos. Didn’t love any other dish in particular. We tried Dilli Dilli Tiki (the aloo tikki was crispy which we loved but the flavors were sweet), chole bhatura, Gilafi Paneer, gupta burger & jalebi. Wouldn’t recommend it to someone looking for authentic Indian flavors, this is definitely a toned down version!

Had the most amazing Indian meal here I have ever had. Absolutely fantastically cooked food and an explosion of tastes. The cocktails were superb too. Can't recommend this place enough and the staff are great. I would describe it as Indian with an Ibizia vibe. Great job guys. A must visit place in New York not far from time square.
