High quality, creative ingredients make for high quality, memorable food! We were extremely happy with our meal here. Hot and Sour Soup had a kick and the beech mushrooms were an interesting touch. The Tiny Dumplings are TINY—they don’t mess around with the dish naming there. The citrusy side sauce was also a unique addition. The Three Cup Chicken was perfectly cooked and the choice of chicken thighs made the whole dish. The Honey Walnut Shrimp was, as my husband put it, “the best I’ve ever had, I think, let me have one more bite…” The sauce on this one was a bit thick and too opaque in my opinion, but the longgan and the pineapple were a hit. I wouldn’t have served it on iceberg lettuce with tomatoes, but I honestly can’t think of an alternative to suggest that simultaneously preserves the distinctiveness and authenticity of the dish, so I guess they win. The service was well done. They catered to us as a family, added a complementary mango sorbet, and supplied kids utensils and chopstick helpers which were a hit. We could have used more water refills and had a hard time flagging for the check even with two crying tired kids (should be obvious that we’re trying to get out of there) but those are easily improved. A novelty place with original takes on classic dishes!
Very delicious dim sum is served here. Dishes are not overpowered by one spice or garlic but are well balanced. Their portions are are generous as well.
Beautiful stunning interior flourished with red lanterns and traditional paintings to start off. The dried beef dish was $33 which was certainly expensive but extrmely tasty and had a great texture. The fried rice was flawless and the dim sum dumplings were tasty. There was sauce on the side and it was very filling. Highly reccommend this place for any meal or occasion!
We had such a great Chinese food, so delish! For dim sum we had chicken shumai, truffle shrimp shumai, lucky 4 soup dumpling. For appetizers we had barbecue spare ribs, mouth watering chicken. And for main dishes beef cubes with szechuan peppercorns, general tsos chicken and braised jumbo shrimp with teriyaki saunce. For drinks had cherry temple drinks. If you’re looking for amazing Chinese food in NYC, I highly recommend Dim Sum Bloom! We had a fantastic family lunch there, and everything was absolutely delicious. Must-try dim sum: ✔ Chicken Shumai ✔ Truffle Shrimp Shumai ✔ Lucky 4 Soup Dumpling For appetizers, don’t miss: ✔ Barbecue Spare Ribs ✔ Mouth-Watering Chicken Our main dishes were packed with flavor: ✔ Beef Cubes with Szechuan Peppercorns – perfectly spiced! ✔ General Tso’s Chicken – crispy & saucy goodness! ✔ Braised Jumbo Shrimp with Teriyaki Sauce – so tender and tasty! To top it off, we sipped on refreshing Cherry Temple drinks. If you love authentic dim sum and flavorful Chinese dishes, this spot is a must-visit!
True gem in the neighborhood! Everything is delicious from soup dumplings to entree. Liked the restaurant week menu so much that I returned in two weeks or so. My favorites so far are crispy tofu and stir-fried fish in garlic sauce. Dan dan noodles are great, but unless you are really good at spicy food I recommend you ask for less spicy version. And the service is so great! Everyone is kind and attentive. Highly recommend!
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A Hidden Gem with Exquisite Dim Sum & Exceptional Warmth From the moment I walked into Dim Sum Bloom, I was enveloped by an atmosphere of genuine care and culinary artistry. Every dish—from the delicate har gow to the perfectly crisp scallion pancakes—was a masterclass in flavor, texture, and freshness. The attention to detail is evident not only in the food but in the presentation and ambiance as well. What truly sets this place apart, however, is the warmth of the service. The team treats you like family—eager to guide you through the menu, share their favorites, and make sure your experience is memorable from start to finish. If you’re looking for a spot that blends authentic flavors with modern charm and heartfelt hospitality, Dim Sum Bloom is it. A true five-star experience—I’ll absolutely be back (and bringing friends!). Our waitress ‘s : JULIE AND LEE - absolutely top notch warmth and experience , not only did they make my first day back in the city so delightful simply my stomach is aching with joy
We enjoyed this place despite the screaming children when we sat down. The service was quick and polite and the food was outstanding. Thank you to the waiter who recommended the seafood curry special, it was very tasty. We also had the soup dim sum but forgot to take photo. An excellent dinner out. I loved the floor to ceiling windows. Great views.
If you’re looking for authentic Chinese Cuisine Dim Sum Bloom is really a great restaurant to dine at. Here I experienced Authentic Hand Made Dim Sum and Delicious Appetizers and Entrees. For my Appetizer the ribs were cooked to perfection and the meat was just the right amount of tender. I enjoyed all of the dim sum options that I ordered. My favorite was the Hong Kong Style Shrimp Dumplings. I also loved the Sichuan Sicy Wonton In Red Oil . I had the General Tso Chicken for my entree and it was delicious. I also really enjoyed the Lucy Lui cocktail , it was sweet and refreshing. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also very beautiful , and the service was great I would highly recommend Dim Sum Bloom it is perfect for any dining occasion. Here’s Everything I had : An order of ribs (Highly Recommended) Sichuan Sicy Wonton In Red Oil ( My Favorite) Hong Kong Style Shrimp Dumplings Chicken Shumai General Tao Chicken Moo Shu Chicken Drink : Lucy Liu Lychee Martini Everything Was Delicious and Prepared perfectly.

Everything looks great and the portion sizes are huge! Definitely try the Moo Shu Chicken 🍗 with rice and pancakes, and mini dumplings! Staff 👨🍳 is super friendly, welcoming, and professional! Service is very quick ⏲️, ambience 🎶 is great, and the place is beautifully decorated! 🛋️ The check 🧾 comes with fortune cookies 🥠 and a very cool keychain! 🔑 I wish I came here more often!
loved this restaurant! the space is super big and has lots of table! the food is sooo delicious. loved the general tso’s and fried dumplings! will be back next time in the upper west side!!!
We visited friends who live in upper west side and decided to give Dim Sum Bloom a try. We shared a couple of dim sum dishes as appetizers. Our favorites were the Pork Bun which was flavorful and the juicy fried squid with salt & pepper. We enjoyed both entrees we got: Deep Fried Spare Ribs with Garlic and Steamed Rice with Pork & Taro. The ribs was soft & juicy and the rice was satisfying.

the staff were sooo kind and friendly and the food was soo good too!! hehe there was an error with the card payment so they asked me to pay in cash but they were really polite and nice about it they even gave a lemonade because of the inconvenience it was my last meal in NY and i really enjoyed it 직원분들도 너무 친절하시고 가게도 분위기 좋고 맛있었어요!! 추천합니당!
Amazing ambiance, so glad I went with my daughter. The service was exceptional, the food was fresh and pleasantly tasting. Portion sizing could serve 2 to 3 people. Overall I will be visiting again. Join the rewards program i got a 10$ off my first meal. Made the experience even better.
We went we ordered we ate we loved the food. Last time I had dim sum was at Changi Airport Mall in Singapore- the best place in the world for dim sum. But this is a great reminder! Eat here. PS they really NEED to FIGURE OUT and MANAGE WEB ORDERING/DELIVERY/TAKE OUT. But they’re new…
Surprisingly delicious dumplings, and even surprising that they have a good amount of options for vegetarians! Sunday walk-in got us a decent window seating and noise levels were on the lower end. Our order consisted of Canton Wonton Soup, Shanghai Soup Dumpling, Four Colorful Soup Dumpling, Truffle Vegetable Shumai, and Lotus Leaf Rice w. Vegetarian Chicken (2 pieces). With the exeption of the Lotus Leaf dumpling, everything was perfect. Food was packed with flavor! Menu is very well priced, and service was fantastic. Food arrived within 10 mins of placing the order. Will be our go-to place in the neighborhood when craving dumpling!
If you are up to Chinese food, this would be a good spot in UWS. Ambiance is perfect for either groups or even dining out alone. You’ll love how the vibe gives you, very relaxed and welcoming. Their mini dimsum is a must try in the menu. Also we did order spring rolls, you couldn’t go wrong anytime with spring rolls, also stir fried eggplant to pair with either plain rice or fried rice would be the best. I’d give 4/5 because it’s UWS location, prices are higher than usual. But food and ambiance 5/5. A spot to try if you are craving for dimsum, this would definitely help.
Clean. Good service. Solid Chinese and American Chinese food. Excellent specials and HH. What’s not to love ? Their restaurant week special is the move. Excellent value to portion ratio. Great pour on the glasses of wine too, Karen. Solid mid week option, if you live in the neighborhood.

Solid Chinese restaurant with a wide variety of well prepared dishes. Dumplings are excellent across the board and the seafood is very fresh. Peking Duck was well executed and the beef and vegetable, especially bok choy, dishes are very good, too. So far, only the Kung Pow Chicken was somewhat disappointing. Good for takeout, but the service in the restaurant was quite good. Not the prettiest decor, but their attention to detail, like house-made mustard, superior dumpling wrappers and delicate pancakes for duck and mu shu dishes, is way above average.

It’s more American Chinese, than Chinese. ⬆️ Clean. Good service. Solid American Chinese options. Stiff adult beverages, especially the 2nd one. Good pours on wine. The Chef’s specials are solid. Portion up price. ⬇️ the Chinese music playing triggers me back to the 90s NYC Chinese restaurants. Not a fan of their dumplings- too thick of a shell. ↔️ It’s never busy. Solid mid week option, if you live in the neighborhood. Not a destination. Moon Kee is more authentically Chinese (Cantonese)
We tried this restaurant after attending a church service nearby We ordered: TRUFFLE SHRIMP sio mai. I didn't taste much the truffle, looked dry. But the shrimps were fresh and medium size. The taste was average, 3/5 FRIED PORK DUMPLINGS. Mildly flavored that my friend didn't finish it. 2/5 DUCK SPRING ROLLS. Crispy wrapper but lacking in umami taste. 2/5 SHRIMP DUMPLINGS have fresh medium sized shrimps. This was what we enjoyed. Tho a little bland, the sauce of soy and vinegar carried the weight to perk up your appetite. 4/5 PEA SHOOTS vegs. They were fresh but had some hard stems. We liked it so much that we weren't able to touch the rice, 4/5 The tea was mild, too We had 2 glasses of Chardonay that made our lunch complete. We will come back to trynotyer dishes

Last night, after working all weekend, based on the positive reviews I read for this restaurant, I got takeout for dinner. I finally plated my takeout Kung Pao Shrimp and Cold Noodles with Sesame paste, which was a splurge at over $40 with a tip, (though I picked it up), that I really couldn’t afford. The shrimp dish was mostly peanuts, water chestnuts and chilies with SOME shrimp. The flavor wasn’t bad, but unexceptional, I ended up picking out all the shrimp and throwing the remainder away. The noodles were plain tasteless, bland. I had requested no utensils, but they also didn’t put any extra packets of soy sauce, duck sauce, and mustard which would’ve made up for the lack of flavor. Very disappointing. If I haven’t been so tired, I would’ve walked the four blocks and taken the food back.
My kids and I visit this place often, we like the Thai Tea, Wagyu Buns & the fried rice. We just stopped today not even an hour ago on our way home. This time I ordered a Beef fried rice, the rice was hard like when you scrape the rice from the bottom of the pot, rice was white, no flavor, no seasoning, barely any vegetables or beef and EXTREMELY oily ( look at the picture) their pork dumplings taste weird. The portions are small & pricey. I don’t think I would be going here anymore.
