Probably the Top 1 Dim Sum place I have ever tried in the U.S. Fabulous vibe instantly brings you back to the Republican Era. They not only make authentic dim sum but also offer a few special ones that I haven’t seen in other places. Plus, you will be shocked by their price!!! Highly recommend!
Amazing food for a really good price. I got their veggie and pork dumplings. Highly recommend!
Hey Yuet impressed me with the flavors of their dimsum dishes, generous portions from their menu, and not to mention their affordable price point. We got: *Pu'er & chrysanthemum tea (not pictured) •Pork bean curd wrap (generous with the filling, umami-forward) •Roasted pork rice roll (every bite has filling) •Beef tripe (has depth of flavor) •Pork siu mai (juicy & large bites) *Mango pomelo sago •Portuguese egg tarts (not pictured, custard is so creamy) Derrick and CJ were very friendly and made our dining experience enjoyable. I highly recommend this spot to anyone who's in the mood to indulge in some tasty and reasonably-priced dimsum with friends!
Don't you dare try and order general tso's or beef with broccoli. This is an authentic cantonese restaurant with amazing dim sum. Service is excellent. We're very lucky to have this authentic cantonese spot in Chelsea.
The location was amazing, just right next to our hotel. When we first arrived from the airport, of course we went there, and we definitely didn’t regret it. The food came out super fast, everything was tasty and great. The only thing I’d wish for is that the staff could be a bit more welcoming — sometimes we didn’t fully understand the menu and it would’ve been nice to have it explained in a friendlier way. I totally get they deal with hundreds of questions every day, but still. Other than that, everything was really cool and they’re doing a great job!
Definitely 5 star. The SERVICE IS REALLY GOOD!!! The waiter brought me extra napkin without me even having to ask, and they do not stare at you when you give the tip (I gave 18% which is high for me but they really deserve it). So is the vibe. The restaurant was very quiet and chill, with music playing at a very nice volume level. You just feel comfortable staying for longer, and even if you’re eating alone, there’s no pressure of finishing your food at all. The food is very decent - got the beef stir fry noodles 干炒牛河, scallop shaomai, ginseng and silkie chicken soup花旗参竹丝鸡汤。I would recommend the chicken soup - it might be a bit salty for some, but just right for me. A lot of meat in the soup cooked tender, with ginseng and 枸杞goji berries. The restroom is also very clean. Would recommend 100/100
Shockingly good dim sum. Very authentic and better than most other dim sum places I have been in Manhattan. The regular dishes are also very good and priced reasonably. Service is quick and attentive, and the servers speak both Cantonese and Mandarin. Definitely my new go to place for Cantonese food in the neighborhood.
The place has a nice vibe and the atmosphere is cool, especially with the fun wall decor. The food was okay — some dishes were cute and interesting (like the bun shaped like a face), but nothing really stood out taste-wise. Service could’ve been better too. It’s a decent spot to try once, but I’m not in a rush to go back.
Loved the immediate service. The waiters were very attentive and provided a new drink even before I asked. Loved all the food and it was super cute and delicious. Was a great place to treat myself for my self care day. I liked their version of beer options which were unique and delicious. I will be back.😍
Everything from the Dim Sum, drinks, and services here were top notch. Normally Dim Sum tastes are similar across the board from across the world, but Hey Yuet adds a flair of taste to each of its dishes that stand out slightly above which is great! The service was perfect it could not have been better. Definitely would recommend coming for Asian taste palette and non-asians as well!
My friends and I were pleasantly surprised at this sweet Chelsea spot- everything was super fresh, all of our dim sum came out quickly. Our server kept replacing our tea and let us hang out as long as we wanted. Both of my friends are vegetarian and there were plenty of options for them. I'm looking forward to trying some of the non-vegetarian options next time. We will definitely be back!
Perfect place for a top notch meal! Wonderful service too! Our waiter was very informative and taught us about the various items on the menu we had questions about. Highlights were duck, Peking style, mushroom dumplings, shrimp rice noodle rolls, and the rabbit coconut pudding. Note: no rabbits were harmed in the making of the dessert!
Food is always super consistent and tastes so good! Favourite chinese food in the area and my go-to place for dim sum. I’ve probably come here at least 10 times. We got their crispy shrimp spring rolls, turnip cakes, soup dumplings, beef rice roll, and egg tarts. Everything was amazing! I also love their shrimp rice rolls and the sweet & sour pork is great too. Highly recommend coming here with friends or even alone.
everything was SO GOOD!!!! the chicken was tender and loved the sauce!the crispy shrimp roll and sshrimp scallop shumai are must-order🩷🥹 beef rice roll was perfectly cooked too!! I wanna try other dimsum menus snd their noodle menus next time🤎😻 also the restaurant was clean, and cozy and well organized also the servers were so nice😊
Nothing disappoints! The staff is really nice and food is great. I love almost all their dim sum. Dumplings and buns are great. Love their egg tarts as well. Rice Rolls are really flavorful but a bit dry to my liking. The porridge is okay. The interior is also quite vintagy~ price is reasonable as well!
The food here is okay. None of the food we ordered came hot. Most of it was slightly warm or room temp. Portions are small for the prices. The pan fried dumplings here are good. Well filled and not too doughy. I would come here and just order a few serving of the pan fried dumplings. They are superior to the soup dumplings, which you can skip. I like that they serve both steamed and crispy roast pork buns but they weren't hot. The beef chow fun is tasty. I would recommend it. And the Chinese broccoli is delicious. This restaurant can randomly get very busy. Make a reservation if you can.
I thought the duck was the highlight of the meal. Place looks humble and the dim sum was much better than other places I’ve been in the city. Has all the dim sum menu that you need with additional entrees that you can order. Overall happy with the service and food, and would definitely consider this place again as long as I’m in the area.
A friend of mine who is Cantonese wanted Chinese food but he did not want us to travel to Flushing. We read the review on Trip Advisor. Three gave it excellent ratings and 1 gave it average or in other words 4 reviews and not much of a sampling. Actually the reviews had no detail just the basic reviews of food, the space etc Nothing that gave you much to go on. We went. There is no WOW factor and nothing memorable but it’s in the neighborhood and I do want them to succeed. The service is ok and maybe a tad chaotic. I think the young men are nice and try to do well but there is no congeniality and I think part of the problem might be lack of staff. Maybe a staff member called in sick or it’s lack of training which means that’s a managerial issue. We still have no idea why things were served in the order that they were served and why plates weren’t offered at the right time. But I will say the staff seemed to overwhelmed. THE DRINKS- I would stick to beer and wine or simple drinks on the rocks. What was impressive MACALLAN was on the drink list. Food- the shumai was probably the best item. The white rice was moist and NOT OVERCOOKED most Americans just think it’s a filler and they do not pay much attention to it but my Chinese grandsons if were there would have gobbled omit down. The dish with rice where you pick 2 meats: duck, chicken or pork. I would not pick the duck. The green bean dish was good but the beans were chopped into too small of pieces. The cooked cabbage with one dish was simply bland but cooked appropriately (al dente). My Cantonese guest thought we should atleast come back but try other dishes. But my POV was food in NYC is not cheap but their prices here were solid. I eat out over 300 meals a year and I love discovering little jewels. Sadly this was not a little jewel but maybe my Cantonese guest saw something that I didn’t. Therefore, I will give it another chance and hope to find out that it is a little jewel. I will share a Happy Chinese New Year and RAMADAN MUBARAK since both holidays are back to back this year. Xie Xie
This place has great reviews, so since I was in the neighborhood, I decided to check it out. The food was just okay. The soup dumplings were mediocre, and the chicken chow fun was fine but a bit bland. Ironically, the best thing I had was the jasmine tea. The most disappointing part, however, was the service — or rather, the lack of it. The restaurant was nearly empty, yet it took a long time to get a waiter’s attention just to place my order. Dirty dishes were left piling up and were only cleared after I finished eating and paid. There was no one around to even ask for a napkin. I dislike leaving a small tip, but the staff’s attitude felt as though they were doing customers a favor by being there. Given the service, it was hard to justify tipping at all.
