Really nice cafe! Came here to work for a few hours and loved the atmosphere, great vanilla iced coffee and healthy food options! Perfect for getting out of the house when you work from home.
A beautiful, healthy lunch in Bushwick. Love coming here for a quick lunch and coffee Inside of Leaf you’ll find the cutest cafe setup with decorated walls and games a delicious clean menu of food and coffee. Love the protein bowls with a glass of homemade ice tea or their Peruvian Chicken special with house made sides and sauces! $40 for a whole chicken meal with sides/sauces and they have quarterly as well
Not sure why all the bad reviews. I went in today and my salad and matcha latter were so bomb, I'm already thinking about when I can go back lol Just go in, don't order online
very underrated health food spot and honestly some of the best coffee I've ever had. inside is very comfortable and great place to do work. 10/10
Leaf is right downstairs from me and the staff is always friendly and nice. Great quiet atmosphere to have a phonecall. They handle customer service very well. My autistic son loves to practice buying things hereby because of how kind they are.
One of my favorite places to eat as a New Yorker! So fresh, delicious and wide variety! Amazing service and lovely staff! 10/10! And perfect for a meal after the gym if you are working out at Blink a block away :)
Leaf is a very welcoming establishment and the staff esp (Martin)* is always attentive and kind. The atmosphere feels great and inspiring. The organic produce is very fresh and delicious. I highly recommend eating here and experiencing the vibe Leaf provides.
There were two ladies working the counter when my coworkers and I walked in, both of which were vibrant and polite to say the least. Was all our first time there, but I've had this place on my radar for some time. The reviews had good looking food but stories of bad experiences with a worker who I can only guess was the same man that had everyone upset with the place. All that to say that those poor reviews were the opposite of my experience. Amazing food, terrific service, and the whole vibe of the store was on point. Dim lights over head with plenty of natural light shining in that emphasized the earthy, natural tones of the place. Plus great music. Also, props to them for having a sitting area out back, but the spot me and coworkers gravitated towards was a wood table with rustic wooden chairs. 5 stars not enough, 10/10 for leaf.
Mirtan was very sweet and accommodating, the food was very delicious, however I wish the portion size was a bit more for the price. Thank you!
The food is not bad but I only ate a couple of things from here. The problem with this place is the management. Not only was the "manager" rude but did not even allow me to speak. I was in the store two days prior and the other worker told me drip coffee was in a small or large cup. So I ordered two cups of coffee. It wasn't the price I was concerned about, I have been there plenty of times and the guy was so rude for no reason. He even asked the worker who I was familiar with if that was the policy. I was told he would only make an exception this time only. Again I didn't care about the money and would have paid the difference if he was nice about it. I even tipped like I usually do for take out. His rudeness caused me to say just refund me my money and I won't be back.
While the food was fresh it is a total rip off. They have a nerve charging $17 for a salad and barely filling the take out bowl 1/2 way. There was literally less than an ounce of chicken in the salad. It was a side salad. Ridiculous.
I was told to avoid this place by a few people, and I made the mistake of not checking the reviews first. I wanted a simple salad so figured how bad could that be? The answer: Bad. The chicken smelled off, they left out ingredients to the salad, so I had to go back, because I just spent $18 on a simple salad with protein. The portion size is comically small for the price. The iced tea was very watery. Not worth $5+. The worker was very nice though and remedied the mistake.
I was excited to go to this place. It looked simple and nice. I finally went and in fact it is simple and nice. The decoration is not too blunt and food isn’t either to the pallet. Simple food is good, and I love me a good bite of something fresh, but I do have to say that for these prices and for the experience this place seeks to offer, food is rather plain and topical and doesn’t really offer much taste. Don’t get me wrong, place is cute and food is valid but sadly didn’t do anything to keep me interested. Hopefully this is just the start of the story of a very good eatery!
The Peruvian chicken was spoiled. It smelled terrible and tasted worse. I took one bite and that was it. Had to throw the entire order away. Serving food like this is unacceptable and actually concerning. Don’t waste your time and money. Find somewhere else.
I ordered a hot latte. They made a cappuccino and it was really bad ☹️ I think the person who made it didn’t know the difference. The atmosphere, vibe and decor were all top notch. Maybe I’ll order a drip coffee next time.
Total scam. I saw the sign said $3 iced coffee so I went in and ordered an iced coffee. The coffee came out to almost $6 and when I asked why they said “we have two different kinds, this is a cold brew.” I said I specifically ordered an iced coffee and never said cold brew, and they just shrug and say “sorry.” I just paid for it in the end because I really didn’t feel like arguing but I wouldn’t have come in and ordered in the first place if I’d be charged for something I didn’t order. Clearly they got exactly what they wanted with that misleading sign. Very dishonest.
